Print button option, is there one?
Im looking for a way to add the Print function when adding interactive/button options to a button within indesign.
Short of adding the print function to my final art PDF using the tools within Acrobat, how can I skip that step and add the print function while Im adding other functions within indesign? Is there a plugin I can add?
It seems a bit silly to be able to add all other functions to buttons within indesign, all except print. Surely there is a way. I just havent seen it maybe.
Any pointing in the right direction is appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
You're not missing anything. That has to be done in Acrobat.

Does Report Builder have any way of printing information from a row selection onto a page, rather than the whole report? I don't think it has a print button option when you create the report?

According to your description, you want to select some particular rows when printing the report. Just as you said, there is no such feature in Reporting Services.
To work around this issue, we can create a parameter with the key field value in the report. Then we can print the particular rows based on the selection in the parameter. For more details, please see:
Create a multiple parameter named filter in the report.
Specify Available Values and Default Values from the dataset key field which is acted as filter when printing the report.
Add a filter as below in the tablix:
Expression: [Key field]
Operator: In
Value: [@filter]
When we render the report in report builder, it displays all data. While we can select the particular rows in the drop-down list when we want to print the report.

Printer-specific options only on one Mac
I've got a MacBook and a MacBook Pro, both running 10.5.1, and a Canon MP530 that's shared from an iBook running 10.4.11.
On the MacBook Pro, the print dialog includes a number of printer-specific options in the pop-up menu-- "Quality & Media", "Color Options", etc. On the MacBook I get only generic options-- "Layout" through "Scheduler", but nothing specific to the printer.
I can't find any differences in the printer setup between the two Intel Macs. I tried deleting the printer from the MacBook's printer setup and adding it again, but that had no effect.
Both of the Intel Macs show the correct print driver selected when I look up the printer in System Preferences.
I also downloaded Canon's latest drivers and installed them on the MacBook, but that didn't make any difference.
Anyone have an idea why I get such different options on one Mac than I do on the other?This may sound ridiculous, but make sure the Canon is designated as the default printer....I had the same issue with a Cannon MP600....
When I made it the default printer, I got all the options back.

I have no print button option in my pdf files only a save or cancel option. How can I fix?
Check the document properties (Security) if printing is allowed.

to clarify..in winamp you simply click remove duplicates and all duplicate songs are removed. In Itunes it appears you have to click on each individuale song. (yes you can hold the control key and hit delete one time , but when yo uhave hundreds or thousands of songs this is very time consuming
Surely there must be a faster simpler way??????

Step 1: down the most recent version of adobe reader.
Step 2: Choose the option "advanced", and then choose the option: "print like an image".

actualizar a la versión más reciente de adobe reader.
descargarla, abrirla, e instalarla
Paso 2.- Volver a abrir el documento PDF, pero con la nueva versión de adobe reader.
Paso 3.- Ir a imprimir, pero antes de darle aceptar, ir al cuadro que dice: "AVANZADA"
Paso 4.- Entrar a avanzada, y marcar la casilla que dice "imprimir como imagen". y darle aceptar.

El asunto, era porque no eran letras de caracteres, sino que eran una foto o imagen de letras.
por eso era necesario escoger la casilla de imprimir como imagen, además de actualizar al nuevo adobe reader. -

Ideas for Adding a "One Click" Print Button to VA01 Overview Screen
I am not an ABAP developer and am doing some preliminary functional investigation to determine the best way to add a simple "one-click" button that allows a Sales Order Confirmation output to be sent to the printer.
Can someone that really knows, tell me whether or not a custom menu item can be added to VA01 and VA02?
I have seen lots of threads telling folks how to find user exits and menu exits for a program so I don't need that advice. Rather, looking for someone who has already investigated this for VA01 and VA02 and knows the answer.
Problem Statement:
Our users would like a "quick print" button on the VA01/VA02 application toolbar that immediately spools the Order Confirmation output to the printer. Our users want to print the output on demand, i.e., they do not want the output to automatically be printed when the order is created because a printout is not always needed. We already have condition records created with Dispatch Time set to 3 - Send with application own transaction. However, it takes 7 or more clicks to print the output on demand by navigating the menu (Extras > Output > Edit...Further Data...etc.) and changing the Dispatch Time to 4 - Send immediately when saving. This is a big ergonomic issue and a time killer.
Although the number of clicks to print are less when printing the output from the VA02 initial screen (via menu Sales document > Issue Output To), this is not acceptable when creating new orders. Really need an on-demand, "one click" quick print button on the VA01 screen. As an aside, we have a totally custom transaction for preparing sales order data (shopping cart-like way of finding materials and entering required data) that then calls VA01 and fills in all of the information. When saving in VA01, the user is returned to our Z-transaction so asking the user to subsequently run VA02 to print is not practical.
Current Output Determination:
We have custom output type ZBS0 (copy of BS0). Condition records for print medium are set to Dispatch Time = 3.
Ideal Solution:
Add a Print Icon to the application toolbar as described above. From the button, write custom code that calls RSNAST00 (or is there a better way?) to send the output to the printer.
Any feedback on how others have solved this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Please again read my Problem Statement in my original posting for the business requirement. We are using ECC 6.0. Yes, I know that transaction VA02 has Sales Document > "Issue Output To" that allows you to print. However, we want to be able to print from the VA01 Overview screen after all of the sales order information has been entered. We would like to be able to click a print button which would save the new sales order and immediately issue the output. Again, we do not want the output to automatically print for every new sales order - we want to be able to print only when needed. The conditions that a sales person would use to decide to print a copy are too numerous or varied so they cannot be automated in a condition record. Of course we do use condition records for creating the output but we do not send immediately on save.
When creating a sales order, the sales person does not want to do the extra clicks and key strokes to then navigate or open a new VA02 session to print from the VA02 initial screen. And as described in my original posting, it is a lot of clicks navigate the VA01 Extras > Output menu to change the output to print on save.
If you observe the "day in the life" of a sales person and see all of the key strokes and clicking required to create an ECC 6.0 sales order, you understand why the extra 7 to 11 clicks to just print an output is very annoying. We have created a totally custom Z-transaction that allows our sales folks to capture everything need for a new sales order all on one screen with no tab views. We then launch VA01 to fill in all of the data entered in our custom transaction. This all works very well and is a huge time saver for our sales staff. Now we are looking to save a few more clicks by simplifying the printing. -
When I click on the Mozilla icon on my desktop, a mozilla firefox startpage come up that has NO mozilla button to click and access print, history, options etc. Also the whole page automatically shifts down slightly to show only google question box and no address bar. Also, there used to be a place where I could click on most accessed pages, but that disappeared a couple of weeks ago. I have an HP computer and never know what the start page will look like.

Did you recently upgrade Firefox? I would be willing to be that everything is still there, it's just hidden. You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.<br />
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.<br />
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

I use an iMac running V. 10.10.2. I have an Epson WP-4530 printer. Is there a printer driver that will enable one to print photos from color negatives?
I have already tried downloading the drivers from Epson as per one person's suggestions, but the dialog box isn't anything like what was suggested--the choices in the box weren't the same for the most part. I don't want to lock up the computer or disable the printer for normal printing, but I have a lot of old negatives that I would love to have prints from.I am using the latest software from Epson for Mac OS 10.10.2 that I downloaded last week. I seem to remember that the older software (we're talking 6-8 years ago) had to option to scan slides or negatives and would convert the results into positives via the scanner. I don't like the most recent scanning software because it jumps right into the scan before giving you a chance to change the options. It uses the selected options from the previous scan which are sometimes right, sometimes wrong. Thanks for your reply to my question!

HP Printer Assistant (3510e All-In-One) Display No Maintenance Option

I have a problem with my HP printer (a little over a year old - expected to work well)
Desktop PC: HP Pavillion HPE310t 64-bit (OS: Windows 7 Professional)
Printer: HP 3510e All-In-One (Wirelessly Connected & Confirmed by the "Green -Colored Check Mark")
Problem:
Expected: HP Printer Icon which, upon being clicked on it, displays a message "Retrieving information from the device" before displaying the HP printer assistant where it displays eight options including "maintain your printer".
Current Condition: only displays "Printer Setup & Software" which is part of the printer setup process. Because of this, there is no way to access the maintenance option as I am in need now.
Yes, I tried to reinstall the printer software, after completely removing all the existing files, using the software CD that came with the printer - no avail. Repeated the process twice to see the same result.
What is the problem and how can it be fixed?

I downloaded Printopia Demo to my Mac laptop, but when trying to install it, a window comes up showing the printer is recognized, but there is no button to go any further. What do I have to do?
Close the window and print .... Read this for the details. Once you install it - you should be able to print from the print option in any app.
I have downloaded the demo twice. I forget exactly how to do it, but it is very simple. If you installed Printopia, just try to print something - try a web page or a photo. Tap the Arrow icon in the upper right corner in most apps to get to the print option. -
I cannot print from any wetsite as there is no print button. I have tried using the printer icon, also file, print preview then print. Nothing to preview nothing printed. How do I print from a website?????
If this is similar to problems I sometimes have printing -- 1) Only happens on some, not all, websites 2) Printer preview window comes up OK, just shows a blank page -- I can suggest a work around, if not a solution: try turning your page into a PDF. Either install an extension which gives a "Save as...PDF" menu option, or a PDF printer driver (I use bullzip). The problem seems to be with the manner the websites use frames and/or javascript. This work around also handles websites that can't get along with your printer settings and chop off edges.

Hello everyone, I have an S4 that is just over 3 weeks old that has been shutting down daily. It did it a few times for the first week, but I assumed it was just working out some kinks or something. At this point it's doing it at least once a day.
