Print cheques via continuous stationery

Hi All ,
I have got a requirement saying ,
The printer being used is a continous cheque printer with a manual feeder. Please change SAP to print the cheques via continuous stationery.
I am new to scripts and smart forms and I dont understand what does ,Continuous cheque printer and print cheques via continuous stationary mean and hence am in a soup .
Can any one please elaborate on them .

Etext Cheques on preprinted stationery in R12 - Urgent

Hi,
I am fairly new to BI Publisher and have a requirement to print cheques from the payments process on preprinted stationery, no need for printing invoices etc... just the cheques that come in on pre-printed leaflets using a GEMCOM printer in text format.
I understand that there is no TEXT output from an .rtf and the alternative is eText but how do I get the printer to print several cheques depending on how many there are in a batch using etext???
Has anyone done anything similar before?
Any assistance woud be greatly appreciated.

I went through this nightmare a couple of months ago.
My problem was that I needed to print cheques on pre-printed stationary in a "tractor-feed" character printer - I presume that this is what you need.
It seems that the rest of the world has just closed the door on printing cheques in this common way.
Well, my (and several others') saviour is Kevin Woodrow.
He suggested using an eText XMLP template to generate ASCII TEXT output for cheques.
If you go to Kevin's (seriously good) blog for June - http://kwoodrow.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html there are a number of blogs on eText for cheque printing.
I took those and followed through with the development of a custom function FUNCTION Get_Pmt_Ext_Agg in the APPS package IBY_FD_EXTRACT_PUB.

It's quite scary that functionality prevalent in EBS R11 and earlier versions of R12 is being summarily removed, so that implementation consultants are forced into jumping through bizarre hoops in order to deliver solutions that were previously quite straight-forward.

C309a Error Printing Cheques

I have recently replaced my older HP All in One with a new C309a. I continue to get load paper errors when printing on pre-printed cheques. The printer loads the first cheque but tells me that there is no paper in the printer. I have no problems when printing on plain paper. I use this printer for business and must be able to print payment cheques.

No, I did have it set up wider than tall. But that is when the jam occured, presenting th cheque landscape (widew edge first) the cheque is too short for the printer to grip it - hence the jam (the cheque got lot in the depths of the printer and I have had to do quit a strip dowwnn job to get it back!.)
So the cheque has t print portrait. I have tried opening the feed gates wide and inserting the cheque down the left side - but the printer feed whee is in the centre and doesn't grip the cheque. (the cheues are onlhy 85mm on the short edge.)
Perhaps I had better stick to hand writing!
(Sorry about all the tpos in that. I'll shall now have to leave it a few days and try experimenting some more another time. Thanks for you help)

F110 - Printing Cheque

Hello Friend;
For printing cheque from Automatic payment program make use of the following program
RFFOUS_C International Payment Medium - Check (with check management)
1. Configure a Payment method with method of payment as cheque.
2. Assign program RFFOUS_C to this payment method. Incase changes are required copy this program into a Z-program and use it.
3. Run the payment program as you would normally do, with variant of program RFFOUS_C in the last tab and print Cheque clicked in the variant with the printer details, Normally special printers with preprinted stationary (blank Cheques) are used for cheque printing
4. A spool request will be created which can be processed for cheque printing
5. For Cancelling Cheque the transaction code is FCH8
If you have not done before doing all this you will have to define cheque lots (Cheque number ranges). This is specific to the company code and bank which is going to make the payment via cheque. This is easy and can be done using transaction FCHI

Can't print wirelessly via time capsule on a windows 7 computer

I have an epson rx580 printer that when attached to my time capsule, I can print wirelessly with no problem on my Imac however I can't get my Sony / windows 7 laptop to print properly via the time capsule... I have installed bonjour on the laptop and setup the printer with bonjour however the printer will print about a half a page and stop and get stuck until I turn it off.. I have downloaded all the latest windows drivers and the firmware to the time capsule is up to date. Does anybody have any experience with getting windows 7 to print properly on a time capsule?

Have you plugged the printer directly into the win7 laptop and tried to print, using the current drivers. Is that successful?
If the job is failing half way through, make sure the permissions are correct on everything and make sure you turn on guest access on the TC.
Other than that, sorry I don't really know what is going wrong. Sometimes the issue is two way communications is failing. Try plugging the laptop into the TC with ethernet.

HP Laserjet 1020 Print Wirelessly Via Time Capsule?

Is it possible to set up an HP Laserjet 1020 to print wirelessly via time capsule? I already know I have to use the 1022 driver, and my printer works perfectly when the usb is plugged into my Macbook air. I plugged it into the new time capsule I just bought and added it on my Macbook as a network printer, but it wont print. Any tips or suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thanks in advance!

Printing from Windows XP via AirPort to printer connected via USB to iMac

Hello. I have an iMac (with Leopard, MacOS 10.5) and a Windows XP notebook, both connected to the internet wirelessly via an AirPort Express unit. Do you know if I could connect physically (via a USB cable) a regular laser printer to the iMac and be able to print wirelessly from the Windows XP notebook via AirPort?

It should work. Enable Printer Sharing via System Preferences -> Sharing. The Mac does need to be turned on.

The window size can be the problem
please increase the size of the window and see how many character more is coming in the first line.
Then adjust accordingly.
There is one more option which you can try , create another character format of smaller font and try.

Printing graphics (via SmartForms?)

Hello,
I have problem with printing images via SmartForms. I know that I must firstly import graphics using SE78 transction and then use it in SmartForms. We would like to print small jpg images which represents rough preview of product in invoices, offers etc.
Problem is that we have tens of thousands of materials and each has a preview. All images are stored in DMS (KPro) so I thing that is inefficient to import all images again in SE78.
Does anybody know how to avoid converting all jpgs to tiffs and importing in SE78. Maybe some other printing solution than SmartForms?

This is a common problem. To accomplish this you may need to resort to new BC-XDC interface which can convert non OTF/ALF output to PS/PCL and then feed to spooler, as spooler is not capable of dealing with other native formats such as images.
Another option is to use 3rd party OMS tools, or KPro/ArchiveLink mass printing solution "APS".

Problems printing photographs via Aperture, using Canon MP640

When printing photographs via Aperture, using my CanonMP640, I am instructed to turn off my color management, but I don’t know how to do this & Canon can’t help me. The color quality is very poor (whites have a blue tinge and reds come out orange)
Can anyone help or suggest a good quality printer that is compatible with Aperture, and allows me to turn off Color management on the printer.

I have an Epson R320 and all the Epson's printer driver options are available to me in Aperture. My list is slightly different: Print Settings, Color Management, Page Layout Settings, and Extension Settings with the words separated by spaces and each has a capitalized first letter.
I'm wondering if Aperture isn't seeing your Epson driver files. You might want to remove the Aperture plist file from your User>Library>Preferences folder and relaunch Aperture.

Funtion to write numeric amount in words for printing cheques

Need to create a report to print cheques. The numeric amount of the cheque needs to written in words also on the line below the payee's name.
eg. $100 = "One hundred"
I would like to know if there is a function to do this task.

Is this problem with EPSON LX-300 printer only? If yes then the printer settings have to changed.
Other wise check:
The form that is attached to the payment method
If using F110 check the print variant
