Print command makes the programm to close

I have recently bought a black macbook and when I use the print command (either from the menu or by pressing command and P) the programm (pages, preview, stickies, text, ms word) dissapears and a message that the programm quited unexpectedly appears. I have sent a few reports to apple from an option on that message.
I have fully updated my software since then (firmware update too).
Well, I can't print and asking myself if I did well quiting my powerbook.
Any suggestions wellcome.

ok, how is the printer set up?? cause i've had the same problem. in my situation my printer was connected to my mac mini, then i would print off the internet/network, but when my mac mini went into sleep, it would do exactly what you where saying, "this program unexpectedly quite, send a report to apple...blah...blah...blah...." all i had to do was to shake the mouse on my mac mini and wake the mini, then press print again, and it works so if it is set up like mine you might want to try that. hope it helps.

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
You can opnly resize using the available options and file size is not one of them

Photoshop elements 12 won't load up on my PC. The first time I try to load it up I get a large egg timer, which lasts about 3 seconds. The programme then closes and if I try to load it again I get the circular icon which spins for 1 second and disappears.

Please try resetting preferences?
On Windows: Goto %appdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\12.0\Organizer folder and rename the files “psa.prf” (to say psa_old.prf) and “status.dat” (to say status_old.dat).
Try launching Organizer and see if it launches fine.

Right click desktop >
Go to Personalize >
Click WIndow Color (Custom) >
Click Advanced Appearance Settings >
Find Caption Buttons and change the size to your liking!
I like it at size 18, as it doesn't take up as much space.

When trying to print any kind of document on my wife's Mac Pro, the File>Print Command will not work. She just downloaded an update to Microsoft Office and the problem began after that, but it also applies to other non-Microsoft Applications. However, the print function does work when you use the printer icon in any of the applications. She has OS X 6.8 and an HP Photosmart printer. Thank you for any thoughts.

Did your wife also apply the Feb. 2 Security Update 2012-01 v. 1.0 from Apple? That update contains a bug which disables printing and some other functions in applications that were originally written for the PowerPC processor and which require Rosetta to run on Intel Macs. Fortunately, yesterday Apple released v. 1.1 of the update, which resolves the problem. Run Software Update again to install the revised update.

Forms 6i prints ugly when using the Forms print command from the menu

When we use the Oracle Forms print built-in to print the screen-shots, the print-out turns out to be ugly with lots of dots all over.
We are using Forms 6i (6.0.8.11.3) running on 9iAS on Windows 2000. The version of JInitiator we are using is 1.1.7.31. The forms open up in a separate frame.
The interesting thing is when we print from a Windows 2000 machine, the screen-prints are OK. But they are messed up when we use a windows 98/95 machine.

Until last week, my printer and Macbook worked fine together - could print any doc or pdf, web page from my computer. Then it stopped - my printer will still make copies but will not print anything I send from my Mac. I have checked network connections, the printer WiFi connection works. To see if the printer you want to use is on the same network as your computer, try adding it again. If the printer doesn’t appear in the list of available printers, your computer might be on a different network now.

Add your printer again
Try to add your printer again in Print & Scan preferences. If you can print to the newly added printer queue, delete the old printer queue.
If you can’t add the printer because it doesn’t appear in the list of available printers, it may be turned off, or your computer may be on another network now. if the printer was shared by another user, the user may have stopped sharing it, or the user’s computer may be offline. If you don’t manage the printer, ask the person who does for help.

Why is it no longer possible to make the download window close automatically after downloading is finished ?

Only two days ago the download window closed after downloading.

Firefox now manages the downloads in the Downloads folder in the Library (History > Show All History > Downloads) and download are treated as history items.

So you open the Library if you inspect all downloads and this Library window doesn't close automatically.
When a download is in progress then you see a download progress (timer) bar on the Navigation Toolbar instead of the Download Manager button and that button is highlighted once the download has finished to make you aware the their are new downloads.
You can view the new Download Manager in a tab by opening the about:downloads page and consider to open this page in a separate window.
You can set the Boolean pref browser.download.useToolkitUI to true on the about:config page to restore the classic Download Manager window and make all download settings appear in "Tools > Options > General".

Which printer will make the fewest problems?

I plan to buy a new printer, since my current one (Canon Pixma 4600, had it for 3 months) is causing problem after problem. I am sick and tired of reinstalling the printer over and over. Reminds me of my windows days...
I used to have a basic HP inkjet that did run great with and without Airport Express.
Any recommendations for a compact, problem-free printer?
(PS: I do not care about photo printing, I do basic stuff only)

The opinion of a problem free printer is not objective. I'm sure that someone else who is using the same printer as you is not having to reinstall the driver many times. And any recommendation someone else has may not work perfectly for you.
Having to reinstall the printer driver would indicate to me you have an issue with your Mac, in as far as its interoperation with the Canon driver and the core system and installed applications. This could be a fault of the Canon driver, possibly due to a conflict with something left over from a previous install, such as the HP Ink Jet driver suite. Therefore you could look at not using the Canon software and using version 5.2.3 of Gutenprint, which lists the iP4600 as a supported printer. If it works then at least you have narrowed down the cause, but if it fails in the same manner then you know you have something wrong at the core which another printer won't necessarily resolve.

Pdf in the print command

I have Printmaster software for creating flyers. I used to be able to save a document in pdf format in the Print command of the software. But now when I open the Print command there is no option to save it as a pdf. How can I get this pdf option back in my Print command in my printmaster software???

When I try and print a document the Save As dialog box pops up and my document doesn't print.

My printer is a Kodak ESP C310, I am using Windows XP, There is no error message, I can use my printer as a copy machine and it will print, but not when use the print command from the laptop.

Print Command and Icon Disabled in PDF Preview Mode

Hi, can somebody please explain why the File>Print command and the toolbar icon for Print in LiveCycle Designer is permanently disabled when I go into PDF Preview mode? How can I re-enable them? (The Form Properties-Defaults-Preview Type setting has no effect on this). The command and icon are not disabled in standalone Reader or Acrobat.
