Print Driver Install via App Store Fails

I've been trying to reinstall my Epson Artisan 810 via both the USB cable and wirelessly by typing in the Address . It is showing in the ADD location, but when it goes to acquire the Software Updates, it stumbles after a minute or less and the following error message is presented;
"Can't install the software for the EPSON Artisan 810 because it is not currently available from the Software Update server."
Epson's web site lists the current software for 10.8.2 as being only available via Apple.
The Artisan 810 reinstalled fine wirelessly on my ancient first generation intel iMac with 10.6.8 Through this iMac, I have sharing enabled and the Epson shows up as near by. I've installed it that way, but the iMac is not always on and I'm trying to establish a direct connection to this MacBookPro.
I reinstalled it independently to my PC laptop wirelessly without issues too.
Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. It drove me crazy. I deleted all of the old epson software and it still wouldn't install. Then I checked the user login items (system preferences -> users and groups -> login items) and found the eeventmanager and other epson software loading on login.
I removed the login items and rebooted.
After that the printer install proceeded and all worked.

Apps won't install via App Store

A week ago I got a used iphone 5 for my GF so she could log our newborn's daily achievements, but the phone won't allow the download of apps from the App Store. If I click on the price/install button, it circles as if it's downloading, and then it returns to the same original Price button. Trying numerous times doesn't do the trick. No error messages appear. I've reset network settings, as well as resetting all settings. I've also installed the firmware (option-restore) and I've used iExplorer to access the phone's download folder and force it to remake the database file. None of these fixed the issue. The phone WILL allow apps onto it if they are downloaded onto my macbook pro and synced but that's a very unsatisfying solution since it's my laptop which I use most of the day while she would probably want to be perusing apps to use.
The only other known issue with the phone is that the front camera doesn't work properly, and trying to use it also renders the back camera inaccessible till the phone restarts. This seems like hardware to me, while the app issue seems like software, but perhaps they are somehow related. I'm also wondering if the app problem could be related to a corrupt file in her appleID account, or to the fact that i've installed apps on her phone via my itunes (perhaps it's some kind of user permission problem).
Anyway, I have no idea what to try next. Surely someone here has suggestions.

Disk Utility (Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility) Repair Disk Permissions 2x. Then restart in Safe Mode and try both apps. Restart normally and post results.

Can't install/update Apps via App Store * ios 8.1 iPhone 5s

Hi,
since the ios update 8.1 i can't install or update apps via App Store. I can't even download free apps or do the free updates for installed apps. Have tried to soft reset my phone, tried to outlog and log in again in the app store, turned wlan off and on and tried to download without wlan. Nothing works.
I got an 1 year old iPhone 5s with the new ios 8.1. Never got any problems with the phone before, since this update!

If i click for example on the update button in app store, there is just this ''downloading circle'' and shows loading.. and loading.. and loading and just nothing happens. Also the sympol of the updating app gets grey and there stands ''waiting''.
If i try to download an App, there is the same on the install/download button and there shows up a grey symbol of the app and nothing else happens.
No error message or something else. Just shows that it ''loads'' and nothing happens.

I am back up my all data by copy paste in hard drive which is 1tb but format is NTFS and hard drive 700gb full so i cant change format NTFS to FAT.
but installed app is still there.
so i worried if i lost my data, i lost any my app other than i am already backup.
and one thing that i am already create partition of my macintosh Hd in 2 part. so if i install Yosemite nothing to change in my other partition of hard drive because this partition also have data???????

Well, my two-month-old MBP has no qualms about booting from a no-name external USB HD I put together...
Given that is is a common point of failure, I would imagine a large Apple Store should keep a stock of HD's on hand.
Now since you're a bit desperate and the genie pops up til Saturday and you seem to be the enterprising kind, let's try an experiment: if you have room enough in the external HD and assuming it isn't a Time Machine volume, why don't you plug it in, stick the Install CD and see if the installer lets you select the external drive as the install target. If you can install Leopard on it, on top of the backup without reformatting, and the Mac can boot from the drive afterwards, at least you would have some functionality restored and would be able to pull your stuff from the internal HD. Apple says booting from USB drives is not supported but that does not equate to not possible; some brands do work. Risks? Always. You can always lose your backup. Like I said, a challenge for an enterprising gal....
Next time around, consider having a bootable external clone at hand for rainy days. I keep three myself...

You aren't likely to get an answer with that type of attitude. BTW, you are not contacting Apple on these forums. We are all volunteer end users just like you. If you want support, then call AppleCare and you can get one-on-one assistance.

Installing from app store????

Ok my first attempt at using ANYTHING from the app store failed. I downloaded (and it appeared to install properly), one of the freebies, "WeatherBug", and although it appeared to install (I had the icon on the home screen and when I went back to the app store, it said it was installed), when I selected it, all it done was just go back to the original "Home" screen from which I opted to run it. As I said, this is my first attempt at the app store. Is there something I'm missing here? Seems pretty straight forward (download, install, run). I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. I can't install either, but I KNOW why, and the answer is ASTONISHING. For whatever reason, my iPhone is, when I push the APP STORE icon, accessing -- get ready for it -- the APP STORE IN GERMAN!!!! All the descriptions are in GERMAN, and attempts to download from the APP STORE get a message that "Your account is only authorized to make purchases fro the US iPhone App Store". I can't even download and install FREE applications ("KOSTENLOS" in GERMAN. Sigh...)
I and my iPhone are in, and have never left, the US -- haven't even left the STATE. I am on the ATT network (i.e. I'm not using a "jailbroken" iPhone".) And, a friend holding another iPhone right next to mine, accesses the correct store (the US STORE).
A call to iPhone tech support yielded nothing but frank astonishment, no explanation, and no suggestion as to how to "fix" this other than to wipe and restore the phone. Won't bother. I won't spend this SUNDAY wiping and restoring my phone, re-entering BLUETOOTH codes for earpieces, picking my favorite cities, stocks, and on, just to see how well AIM works on my iPhone (worked just fine on my TREO -- see below...)
(personal note -- I am DEEPLY disappointed with my one year experience with the iPhone. Switching from this device from my TREO 650 was easily one of the biggest mistakes of my personal career. I paid $600 and lost 50% of the functionality of my previous device, overnight. Only my 20 year brand loyalty to APPLE, the prospect of derisive comments from my BLACKBERRY carrying co-workers, and my general stubbornness, have kept this device in my pocket. It is the first APPLE purchase I've ever regretted, and sincerely hope it is the last -- one to regret, not last purchase-- I have my eye on an APPLE TV...heh...)

You can download updates to your computer's iTunes via the Check For Updates button at the bottom of the Apps section of your iTunes library. When they've been downloaded, and if you haven't already done so, connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of iTunes (if you don't have the left-hand sidebar showing then you can enable it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Apps tab on the right-hand side clicking the Sync button at the bottom of it should install the relevant updates.

Can't update iPhoto via App Store

I've tried updating iPhoto via App store, and it tells me to sign into the account I used to purchase it. I never purchased iPhoto. It came with my Mac, and I remember clicking "accept purchases" when I was setting it up. Now this button disappeared, and I can't update any of the iLife apps. Ironically, I can't even buy a new iPhoto, because the App Store says it is installed, but it does not appear in my purchases list. Tried reinstalling Lion and it tells me that my ID was not used to purchase iOS X Lion. I don't want to call Apple, since they charge me for calls I make. What can I do?

You need to contact App Store support. They are the only people who can help you with this. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store window

10.6.6 was the 1st to support the App Store, 10.6.8 is actually needed now as a minimum.
Install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.(10.9/Mavericks is the only download available now without specially calling Apple).
