Print ean barcode on report 6i

Someone Know if it is possible printing EAN BARCODE using report 6i passing as parameter the ean number ???

Thank you DC for your reply. I thought there was no one working with barcodes. As I know Java bean barcode print packages are provided with Oracle 9i and above, but you gave me a "blast" to search on the net if I was right. And unfortunately, I searched in all the 8i documentation and there is no barcode beans on.
My concern is not necessarily to use a freeware, but I want to know what is the best way to print barcodes with oracle 8i, and what are the hints I need in order to go through that. And if you think that 99% of the Oracle 8i users use IDAUTOMATION, I will. By using IDAUTOMATION, I know I have to install the IDAUTOMATION font in the database server, attach and use the library in my reports. For the scan, I still have no idea about that. I saw there are some scanners proposed by idautomation but, I don't know if I need any thing with. I am a dummy in this pattern.

"IDAutomation". For you download the http://www.idautomation.com/fonts/free/ and
install it in the C:\windows\fornts folder and in report builder use the "IDAutomation" fornts for the barcode field

I am trying to print barcodes in reports from a query which actually retrieves numbers for barcodes.
is there any easier way to do this.
should I install barcode fonts on my system.
I may have to run the report on UNIX.
any advice will be greately appreciated

U have to install barcode fonts like code 3 of 9 or interleaved2 of 5 etc... if you are using Developer 2000. and then format the field using the font.
If you are using reports 1.2 u may have to use respective escape sequences for printing the bar codes (refer printer mannual for the escape sequences)

Can I use report vi print QR barcode?

When I try to use report vi to print QR barcode through Zebra s4m printer, the barcode will become to rectangle not square as expected.
If I use a laser printer, the barcode keeps in square. If any one can help me with this problem?

This (probably) has to do with the way your Bar Code Printer interprets the data produced by LabVIEW. Are you creating an HTML document or some other format? I suspect that you'll need to get help from Zebra for this.

I have used in some of my reports.
Before developing reports with Barcode, there are few setups to be implemented.
1. Install Barcode fonts.
2. Install Oracle Reports Barcode PLL library.
3. Call below function in your query.
idautomation_uni.Code128(<column_value>, 'TRUE')

Barcodes on reports (NOT SAPSCRIPT)

Hello everybody in this forum,
does anybody know, how to print a barcode on a simple ABAP-report?
I recently read the docu about PRINT-CONTROL but I was not able to benefit of the explanations given in the way that the solution is clear now.
I tried with our own SPAD-device type and checked the table entries on TSP03 and T022D. As entries exist, I received an hexcode like '1B28733370323437303054'
WRITE : /.
PRINT-CONTROL FUNCTION 'SBP01'.
WRITE : '123456789'.
PRINT-CONTROL FUNCTION 'SBS01'.
But how to continue? Or maybe this ain't work in that way!

here is a sample program to print barcode using report.
Sample ABAP Program:
DATA: BAR_CODE1(16) VALUE `ABC01230123A01'
NEW-PAGE PRINT ON IMMEDIATELY `X'.

If the barcode is the first element on the page, the following Write
statement is needed (otherwise you get a date in the first print
control.
WRITE:/
Turn on the barcode font, print the data, and switch back to the
printer's default font. Be sure to use NO-GAP to avoid unwanted
characters or CR/LF.
PRINT-CONTROL FUNCTION `BCPFX'
WRITE: BAR_CODE1 NO-GAP
PRINT-CONTROL FUNCTION `BCSFX'
Add a Write statement to prevent insertion of CR/LF into the barcode.

Print Preview using crystal report in SAP B1 slow.

Dear all,
I face another problem. Print preview using crystal report in SAP B1 is very slow. Although i have create a query view in SQL server but it's still slow for my user. First time i create using table in crystal report. just drag the table. It's take more than 10 minutes. After that i move all the query to view in SQL server , it's take 1-2 minutes to print preview some time more.. But i think that it's still slow. Does any one know how to print preview fast. Just like in PLD.

Print button on Web report.

Hi gurus,
We were trying to add a print button on Web report for printing the result area on the Web report.
We followed the steps which has given in the How-to-guide How To Web Printing with Microsoft
Excel document.
In the document it has mentioned that
1. Support package should be above 19 for BW 3.5 version
2. Add HTML code in the WAD Template
3. Import Transport file into the System.
4. Apply OSS notes 736568 and 737082 to BW
We upgraded the support package to 22, added the html code in the WAD template, imported the transport file into the BW system and applied the OSS notes as per the mentioned in the document.
The transport file contains the Package u201CZPK_WEB_PRINTING_WITH_EXCELu201D and ABAP Classes u201CZCL_RSR_XLS_GRIDu201D,

After import the transport file into BW, some of the objects in the ABAP Classes were not activated. I was trying to activate manually but those were not activating.
Please guide me how to resolve the above issue or is there any way to get the printing the web report?

If you want to print the web page directly then you can define a button using Java script and you can do it.
Define java script code to print the page
for ex define a button and call function for print.
i cannot attach the code. but you can solve with java script

Hi,
Basically Crystal report run with SQL statement, I would suggest to do well performance tuning on SQL query / Store Procedure.
Structure your query in DBA manner that will make some how faster such as use ( inner join, less condition,...)..
also if it simple query then use Command in Crystal report rather store Procedure..that make some how Faster your report.

Print Logo in Classic Report (Write Method,Not ALV)

Hi All,
I'm currently doing conversion of the All the Classic Report with addition of Header with 'LOGO'.
I'm willing to find out that Function (CALL FUNCTION 'WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT') is only able for display but not show out during printing.
Is that any method, I can do it(Print with Logo) without conversion to SAP Script or Smartform that was exhausted.
*Please take note is Classic Report with Write Method (Line by Line), Not ALV.

It is possible to include logo in classical report but its not possible to print logo in classical report. It can be done in ALV's.
Write the code in Top-of-page event in ALV.
The following is the code for inserting the logo in ALV.
FORM TOP_OF_PAGE.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
       EXPORTING
           I_LOGO             = 'ENJOYSAP_LOGO'
            IT_LIST_COMMENTARY = GT_LIST_TOP_OF_PAGE.

Print issue in SSRS report

Hi ,
I have a report in production server. The client took a print out of the report which is accessible from report server URL. The issue pertaining for this report is, some of the letters in the report such as 'ti' and 'le' are missing when the client is taking
a copy of that report. I went through my report design and had downloaded in pdf and other format, i havent seen or observed any kind of issue from my side. I could observe the data is fine, but, I wonder and i couldn't able to trace what went wrong and how
the letters are missing when the print out of the report is being taken. I am thankful for your answers and valuable suggestions.

According to your description, your report missed some letters when printing. Right?
In this scenario, you find no issue if your download the pdf format report. It supposed be to no issue on Reporting Services side because the pdf rendering is the same rendering behavior as the print view. So please check the printer and the system
environment. It has reported some similar issues in Windows XP. Please refer to a KB article below:

While Printing using Print Button on Crysal Report Loses focus.

Hi all,
I am using CR XI along with VS2003 for developing my application.
My application uses a Treeview to list all the available reports, once user select one of the report. I am using another dll, which contain all the rpt files as Embedded Resource, for showing the report in Crystal report viewer.
Once report get loaded, I am using Print Button from Crystal report viewer to print the report.
report get printed properly..
However a strange behavior occurring, Form with Crystal report viewer control placed loses focus and immediate below window coming into focus (some other opened window get activated and bring to front and hiding my application).
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I think I am not creating a separate process,
From my application, I am creating an instance of form (which is in another DLL) which is hosting Crystal report viewer.
If click "Print" button on the Crystal report viewer, I am getting a Printer selection form.
If I cancel from there ,my Crystal report viewer form get focus back.
If select a printer and click "OK". my Crystal report viewer form lost focus and some of the other window opened (word, ie, etc) before get focus.
My assumption is Crystal Report viewer's "Print" button may be using a separate thread for Printing.
that may creating this focus issue.

Printing of XML publisher report

Hi All,
This is in regards to the printing of XML publisher report in Oracle E-Business Suite.
we have a XML Publisher report in Oracle EBS,which generates the output in PDF without any issues. But the same output is printed in XML Tags when it goes to the printer.
Can you please throw some light why this is happening only for this particaular report,other XML reports in the system does not have this problem.

I do not think it is possible to send all the pages to one tray and send only the last page to a different tray. However, you may review the following notes:
