Print easy text.vi doesnt work in executable

I have 3 target machines running labview 2012 on a PXIe8101controller. In my statemachine the vi prints out a report using easy text report vi ( on report generation pallet) at the end of the test. Its an executable vi on all 3 machines. On 2 of the machines it works fine. On the 3rd it hangs up when I'm logged in as a standard user. If I log in as administrator it works fine. The thing I noticed is that on the 2 machines it works on, the image is "factory..1.2.1f6" (under control panel>systems).
On the test equipment that it only works in admin mode the factory image is 1.2.4.f1. Also MAX is 5.3.1 on the one that runs fine and 5.5.0 f1 on the one that it doesn't work on. Anything I'm mssing?

Myself, I'd probably go ahead and post it, even if it was silly little mistake. At worst, it's a laugh on me - at best, someone else made the same boneheaded mistake I lived through and they don't have to walk in my footsteps.

For this issue, I would start of by doing a reset of the printing system, and a verify, and repair of the disk permissions. I have included the document 'OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system'. Before you do add the printer back in, you will need to complete the verify, and repair of the disk permissions.
I have included the document 'Disk Utility 12.x: Repair disk permissions'. This will walk you through the steps to clean up your Mac. Now for step three, please select the hard drive. After the repair of the disk permissions has completed, please restart your Mac.
Once the Mac has restarted, try adding the printer back in.
Are you able to add the printer in successfully?

Text-indent doesnt work

I am trying to use text-indent as
<fo:block text-indent="5cm">
text
</fo:block>
This doesnt indent my first line. If I use start-indent, I get all the lines indented.
Any Ideas why?
I am using BIP standalone 10.1.3.4.1 Build 130.

Try putting it in the the <fo:table cell> instead of <fo:block>.
Have never tried text-intend before.
If intend still does not work., you can perhaps use text-alling = "left" and set padding-left = "5cm" and a check for row position =1 ?

How to Print Long Text

Hi All
I want to print long text of WCD (work clearance document) in smart form (Field name is LTXT). How do i do. I don't know different parameters for function module 'READ_TEXT'. Any suggestion.

Hi,
Go to the text in the Standard Document and then double Cliick on it. Then Click on the Lens below(Detail). In the new screen, Naviagate Goto---->Header. It will give you the relevant details like Text object, Text ID etc which can be used in the read text FM. Usally the text name is the Document Number and the Text ID and Text Object is Constant for that particular Document type.

Keyboard command-b works, return to plain text via command-t doesnt work

I am helping my Dad out here, we have figured out a couple of glitches he is having using the Word Processing thanks to Discussions.
The last thing we cannot figure out is that he has been used to typing keyboard command-b, then a string of bold words, then command-t to go back to regular text, but it is not returning to plain text anymore, it is printing super text. he has to change it 2x via the menu bar. Time consuming and annoying because command-t used to work.
Any advice on this one?

Executable and easy text report.vi

After reading some of the knowledgebase articles and the discussion grps it sounds like I am missing somethng when I create an exe and include "Easy Text Report.vi" in my LV2012 Project. If I run the exe in the admin window of Windows 7 the test results are printed out just fine. If I copy a shortcut of the exe file over to a user window on the same machine nothing is printed. Anyone know why????

Doing a quick search on the forums for that error gives a lot of information. I guess that error is what the print VI throws no matter what the problem is. You can try printing to pdf as the default printer and see if the error is still happening. Try changing the default printer to the one you are using. (Maybe the 2 logins have different printers selected as default). Someone who has experienced error -41002 might be able to explain more than I can... There is a knowledgebase that talks about issues with margins, but I don't know how much help that will be. -41002 KB A few other posts appear, but nothing that would explain the difference between administrator and users permissions.

The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.

I too find the same problem not locating all the print services, then i use defualt print service and it works, another error i was getting that of invalid flavor so i then get all the doc flavor supported by my printer and use AUTOSENSE. Following is the code that u can test:

Easy text report in DLL causes LabVIEW crash

I was wondering if anyone else could shed some light on this problem (it's got tech support stumped).
To date I have two build machines and three target machines that have had the same problem. I build a DLL in LabVIEW that contains the Easy Text Report vi. I also create a VI that calls this DLL function to test it out. Everything works fine on my build machines. On my target machines, however...
On the target machine I put a call library function node on the block diagram and configure it for the LabVIEW DLL I created, select the function and setup the parameters to the function. Upon clicking on OK on the configuration window for the call library function node, my hard drive access spikes for some period of time (sometimes fractions of seconds, sometimes seconds); I assume the VI inside the DLL is being loaded into memory. I then get a Windows message stating that LabVIEW needs to be shut down at which point Windows terminates LabVIEW. Removing the Easy Text Report from the DLL VI eliminates the crash. Tech support has helped narrow this down a bit -- it seems to specifically be the print portion of the report generation VIs (they sent me a DLL that creates an HTML report which had no issues).
I'm doing this in LabVIEW 8.0. To make things more interesting, I have the same code in LabVIEW 7.0 and 7.1; neither of these have any problems. I've attached the code (LabVIEW 8.0) that tech support and I have been messing with.
Any thoughts or sugestions?

Hi DougF,
It has been a while since I looked at this stuff in detail, so I will answer from memory.
There are a number of routines that must be present for the code to work correctly. The two I am thinking about are "CINDispose" and "CINUnload".
I suspect CINUnload is missing or buggy.

I try to print out a text with "Easy Text Report.vi".
After the "Set Report Margins.vi" there is an error: Menmber not found!

Hi Philipp,
I had the same problem, try this:
- In the Measurement System input of Set Report Margins vi connect a constant and set it to metric or US
- In the report margin cluster try to change the default values ( I set 10mm)
In my case this worked. This problem showed up only with LV6; LV5.1 worked fine.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Setting to enable Pixma MP560 to print colour text?

     Hope I am in the appropriate section for this problem. I am unable to get my Pixma MP560 to print colour text. Ink levels fine. Is there a setting for this when I click print?

It has to be something in Page Setup.
Or when the print dialog box comes up there must be a Printer properties dialog button. Open that and make sure it is set to print in color.
In the System Preferences Printer & Scan is there any settings for the printer.
As usual working with a Windows PC seem much easier.
EDIT:
When you go to Print in the print dialog window is there a Presets section? If there is for your printer click on that and at the bottom there should be "Show Presets..
Open that and select a color preset or some that doesn't say B&W.

Printer Software Installer has stopped working

Product: HP Laser Jet M1005 MFP
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
Notebook ACER , Aspire 5349, Intel Celeron CPU B800 @ 1.50 GHz
(new notebook, old printer - printer worked well on Windows XP)
I downloaded driver ljM1005-HB-pnp-x64-en. Driver had been extracted and setup started.
Installation started and after some initialization (~10 sec) it kept writing:
Preinstalling the driver files... or Copying files to hard drive... (switching approx. once per second) after a while (~ 20 sec)
Printer Software Installer has stopped working. Windows tried to find solution but did not find anything.
I TRIED ALREADY EVERYTHING. I used patch for AMD processors (of course, did not work); I have Windows installer up to date; I disabled Internet Explorer 9.0 (I cannot uninstall and iether can I step back to IE 8.0 since notebook is brand new); There is no windows driver preinstalled for this printer and there is no similar driver working.
Driver cannot be installed and printer does not work.
Please, help.
