Print file in multiple portions

A person sent me a document of 24 pages.  Is there a way using the free Adobe Reader to print only certain pages and print each each page separately?  The reason I ask is that I only need a very few pages, pages that are not consecutive, and my printer doesn't have enough memory to print more than one page anyhow.

Bernd
What Adobe Reader seems to do when I do what you have suggested is to load
the entire file into either the memory of the printer or the active memory
(RAM?) of the computer and then select the page(s) to print according to
what I've told it in the print dialog.  Since I have an older computer and
printer it seems that I don't have enough memory for that.  Is there some
way I can separate the single 24 page file into 24 single page files?

When you say field, do you mean specifically a form field, such as a text field? Or is the information regular text on the page?

  • How do I create a single PDF file with multiple pages?

Hi, I occasionally need merge several jpg images into a single pdf file with multiple pages (one Jpg per page). I have tried doing this on Preview, and by selecting all the pages I want to include in my document and trying to save to Pdf through the "Print" function, but every time it only saves the first page.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to save multple-page pdf files without having to purchase a specific program (i to this too infrequently to justify the cost)?
    Thanks very much,

    This works for me...
Open first image in Preview View > Sidebar. Drag the other images into Sidebar, then select all.

  • Create a pfd file from a word 2004 file containing multiple Sections.

I just got a macbook pro, installed office 2004 and acrobat pro 8.1. However, when I want to print - using PDF 8.9 printer driver - a word file with multiple sections in it, I cannot get the full document in the pdf file but only the last Section.
Some sections are portraits and others are landscapes.
Any idea what is happening? Tried to play with various set-up but nothing works...... Help!

Thanks, however, I tried and it does not work. Also I correct the printer driver is 8.0 not 8.9. I tried both ways you mentionned but I get the pdf files in multiple sections (one file per section), cannot get a full file with all sections at once.

  • To print one photo multiple times on a single page

The title of my question is the title of the page in iPhoto 8 help.
"To print one photo multiple times on a single page"
It says (a bit shortened) 1. Select photo 2. Click print button 3. Select paper size 4. Select print size 5 Click Customize button 6 Click Settings button 7. Select "Multiple of same photo per page from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu. 8 Click OK 9 Click Print.
I can not find the pop-up menu referred to in Step 7. There are two "settings" buttons - neither produce a Photos Per Page pop-up menu. Settings appears if you click a double arrow to the right in the lower margin but only deals with font issues and "Print Settings" does not offer such a pop-up.
I am using Leopard on a PowerBook G4 and just bought and installed the newest iLife 8.
    Grateful for help.

    Arthur:
When you click on the Customize button there will be a Setting button in the next window. Click on it and in the drop down window that comes up will be the option to print multiple photos of the same photo per page.
Select that option and click OK. You'll get the spinning cursor for a few seconds as iPhoto creates the multiple copies on the page you selected. Be sure that the print size is small enough so that you can have multiple copies of it on the paper size you selected.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Multi-page ID file into multiple individual ID files

I am creating a catalog in ID and have started it as a single file with multiple pages. My printer has asked that I submit it as multiple individual ID pages. I found a script that will do it for me. The problem is that I have applied master pages to the files and when the files get exported into individual pages they all take the characteristics of the 1st page. i.e. the number is "1" on all of them and appears on the right side. The question is, is there a script that has been made that deals with this already, or is there a way to "flatten" the ID file before I run the script so that the numbering doesn't shift around?

@RGBguyinaCMYKwrld – +1 to that what Larry and Colin already said.
But, in general, there might be really good reasons separating a document into individual parts.
Might be a colaboration workflow with several designers where the project began with one person…
    Or in a DPS workflow.
The Swiss scripter Hans Häsler did a lot of scripts and one of them is slicing an InDesign file into pieces. Page by page, range by range or other criteria. The script comes in German language, but the source code is available, so you could translate it. It has a ScriptUI graphical user interface. A extensive readme file comes with the code (LiesMich_Aufsplitten.txt).

  • Mountain Lion Mail cant print or save multiple messages???

The question is not a question because I already know.....
Mountain Lion Mail obviously cant print or save multiple messages !
There are multiple threads about that, but I couldnt find any solution :
I want to export a full folder of mails (emlx) to single PDFs
and I want to have the Images displayed ! (Lion Mail could do that!)
saving as RTF just shows a link and not the image if it is just a linked image
and saving multiple mails doesnt work anyway. same for printing (and save as pdf)
did anybody run into this... maybe find another solution?
automator doesnt really help on this, too, and i dind find any tool.
word opens emlx files, but the image is displayed just as a 1x1cm thumb
    that is really annoying !

I restarted the iMac and now it seems to allow this operation - so I consider this problem resolved for now.

  • Same file opening multiple times in indesign cc

Hi - I'm getting the same file opening multiple (20-30 times)
try closing and it just keeps opening new copies
Have to force quit in the end
    Any idea's

    Hi Rob
    Thanks for getting back
From what I can see there are no links to other documents.
I often copy and paste elements like images from one document to the next
The multiple files that open - open as 'Untitled' indesign docs - almost like they're new documents or from a template.
They open very rapidly - around 10-20 - if you try to close them sometimes new ones open. This often repeats
I have to force quit indesign.
It doesn't happen all the time - so I think it may be to do with links somewhere along the line.
I've noticed when I work on DPS indesign docs - they often open the original 'source' for print design docs in the same way. The same multiple file opening of the same doc happens
Let me know if I should look anywhere in particular - I'll try and repeat the glitch and get more info
    Many Thanks

  • Forcing a backer into the print file.

It's complicated, but I'll try to explain. The data file is a record-type-indicator file with no terminating record type. The line headers consist of A, B, C, D, E & F. Any single transaction record (a record group from A to F) can terminate with either C, D, E or F. Source print file is usually run in batches or multiple transaction records.
With the record-type-indicator file there can be overflow on to multiple pages.
Example: an AP check line item listing stub can exceed the stub area on the check page and requires an overflow report page. We need to show the check number on the back of the check, but not on the back of the overflow report. The Check and the Overflow Report have different EOP reserves.
We can get the backer to print when the check reserved is reached, but not if that reserve isn't reached. In JFPREAMBLE we can place the backer on the last transaction record with ^define group:JFEndData!EndData. It's with the transaction records that don't reach the Check page reserve we can't get the backer to lay down. And because there's not a terminating record I can't use the EndDoc event.
I realize if using a file table I can acheive this, but then the sequence of the transactions records can't be guaranteed.
    Any ideas?

    res.setHeader("set-cookie", "cookiename=cookieval");
And I, I search how to give age for this cookie. Someone have an idea ?

  • Printing One Address Multiple Times

    Hi All,
I am using the label format portion of Oracle Reports and I am trying to display/print one address multiple times based on the user's input. Is this possible? Any coding example would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.
    Michael James

You could pass this value as a parameter to the report and add a where clause to the report that limited the numbers returned based on this parameter. This is essentially what Kevin's doing in his example (the reference to :copies_required).
Incidentally, there's another way to do this without creating a new table of integers. You can get the same result by using the rownum pseudo column (as long as you have a table with at least as many rows as the number of times you want the address to repeat). You can then create one driving query:
    select rownum from table
    where rownum <= :number_of_copies
    and a detail query:
    select address from address_table
Link these queries with a group link and generate a default layout. Delete any columns in the 'rownum' repeating frame and run - you should get the address repeated the number of times specified in :number_of_copies.
    Hope this helps,
    Danny

  • How to save a numbers file to a pdf file of multiple pages instead of one giant long page?

How to save a numbers file to a pdf file of multiple pages instead of one giant long page?

    Hi DW,
    Numbers 3.2.2
Instead of Menu > File > Export To,  use Menu > File > Print...
That takes you to Print Preview.
In the Print Setup panel, Click on the Print... button lower right (it won't print yet).
    That opens the Print Dialogue.
Click on the PDF Pop-Up Menu lower left.
Choose Open PDF in Preview or Save as PDF.
That will have page breaks and will be full sized.
    Print from Preview.

  • How to setup Print server on multiple machines?

    Hi,
Can someone please let me know the process to setup Print Server on multiple machines?
This is what I have been thinking.
    1. Install Ghostscript on all the machines.
    2. Setup Print Server on all the machines.
    3. I guess I have to point the IP address somewhere as final step?
    Thanks in advance
    PM

The steps you have mentioned is correct.
When you set up the print service ,you will define the URL for Financial Reporting web application server in the .properties file and this will get registered in the HSS registry(This is the step where you run the FRprintserversetup.cmd).So when you run the setup from each print server there will entries created for the same in HSS registry. Then there will internal logic which will work on which server should take which process.
    Thx

  • HP Office jet 6700 ,trying to print and it will say Printer Ready, Empty Print File !

I have a HP Office Jet 6700. I'm trying to print a document , it will say prining Untitled . The printer queue will open up and say printer is ready, empty print file,Idle.
It automatically goes into paused printer. When I try to click on the document itself in the print queue and resume print it gives the same message again.
The Power on the actual printer is flashing slowly as well.
I hae restarted my computer and shut down the printer completey multiple times and it still has not worked. I just printed something on this last night so I'm not sure what the probelm is.

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @Chinadoll702
I read your post about the printing issues you've been experiencing on your Mac running 10.6 and your Officejet 6700. I have a few ideas in mind to get started and let me know the results and we will take it from there.
Update the Firmware on the printer: Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
Power reset the printer and make sure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Make a few copies afterwards and tell me if the copies pause, cancel, do not work, etc.
Try printing from Text Edit on your Mac as well, and get back to me with the results.
    Good luck

Can any one you provide some information on below questions.
Check printing by XML template (XML Publisher).
    1. When printing checks, how do you print the checks from one printer tray and the overflow remittance pages from another printer tray?
    2. When printing a large batch of checks using XML and PDF output, how do you split the print job across multiple printers to shorten the print time?
I appreciate if you could give some information on above 2 questions.
