Dear Sirs, I need to solve this problem since 6 months ago, I nee
d help from an expert to get a success, I have an flash aplication it receives by xml information for 4 movie clips to load movies into screen when it is ok, the screen is printing, the pictures into Movie clips have a good quality resolution to print a big sizes over letter size, double, triple or cuadruple of letter size, with high quality, the only way is vectorial print but it always show blanks arround the objects, I need to solve this problem to print big sizes of these screens.
Some one has an idea to help me with that in flash or can recommend any kind of solution to this problem

1.- yes I'm using a png vector images

The really work of this SWF is to make a poster with 4 movie clips and 4 text fields where they receive the info from XML files, dynamically reading all info from a data base,
The printer job read the poster from the screen and print to scale the problem is when I try to print in vectorial mode because the png files show the transparent background like blanks, and I need quality to print in big sizes the poster, sizes over A4 like A3 and bigger.

and if you use the extension NO-GAPS
It will remove all the blank spaces in the variable field.
DATA: ws_val1 type char12.
ws_val1 = ' 100 123'.
Condense ws_val1.
Write / ws_val1.
Condense ws_val1 no-gaps.
write / ws_val1.
It will give output as
100 123
100123
The CONDENSE statement deletes redundant spaces from a string:
CONDENSE c NO-GAPS.
This statement removes any leading blanks in the field c and replaces other sequences of blanks by exactly one blank. The result is a left-justified sequence of words, each separated by one blank. If the addition NO-GAPS is specified, all blanks are removed.

A pdf document created in cs5 cannot be printed in duplex on a pc without cs5 or adobe reader pro

Hi!
there is a "normal" cs5 created pdf document.
the installed cs5 pc -> i can print in duplex on every printer, without cs5 installed duplex printing not possible.
I am searching for a solution to print the pdf document in duplex mode on every printer, but only with the latest freeware version adobe xi 11.0.3.
(If i install adobe cs4 on a pc it is possible to print the document in duplex mode on a hp3525 printer, but duplex is not possible on a ricoh printer for example mpc5502.)
I cant upload the file, because its bigger than 2 mb. (5mb)
Is there anybody out there for help.

Yep, it definitely is a complicated workflow... But I'm not really sure of any other way to get from the 34" wide pattern to the home-sewing version which is split into pages and has alignment marks and whatnot. I'm very much an amateur that has figured it out as I went
I went through the page in the photo pretty thoroughly with the layer panel and I couldn't find any mystery lines... But I did find something interesting; when I click on any of the pattern lines, it shows the whole line of the pattern piece, which extends well past the edge of the artboard. So when I'm printing the poster-sized PDF to 7.5x10 pages, it's keeping all the anchor points of a line even if only a small piece of that is on the actual page.

Also, should I be keeping all the files I'm editing as .ai files and then only exporting to PDF for the very final product? I was doing that at first, but then using .pdf for the whole process didn't seem to make any difference.

Firefox doesn't print Flash apps

I can't get Firefox to print Flash applications. IE and Opera
do it fine, but not FF. Just blank white space. I've found lots of
posts throughout the internet where others have had the same
problems, but NO solutions. Is there any way to fix this???

Google chrome will not run Adobe flash in windows 8 mode now, why?

My windows 8 dell laptop can use Google Chrome in desktop mode and windows 8 app mode, Google Chrome Version 29.0.1547.66 m. I was using adobe flash in windows 8 mode when al of the sudden it told me that flash could only be used in desktop mode and kicked me into desktoop mode. I have adobe flash version11,8,800,97 installed. please help I would really like to know if there is something wrong.

I have the same problem. I was using Google Chrome without any problems until two days ago, when suddenly a bar started popping up accross the top of the page saying "Adobe Flash Player only works on the desktop" and give me the options "Relaunch Chrome" or "Don't ask again." It can be very frustrating to have to relaunch chrome, especially if you're in the middle of streaming, or downloading, or halfway through something extremely long (and usually boring in my line of work) and it starts you back at the beginning because you have to relaunch. Is there anyway to make Adobe work in the Windows 8 mode again and not just on the desktop? I have Adobe Flash Player version 11,8,800,97 and Google Chrome version 29.0.1547.66 m. Thanks.

Print landscape report in character mode

Hi!
It seems that I should change xxx.prt file in DESFORMAT parameter to match different kinds of printers in order to print landscape report in character mode.
Our customers are international wide. How can I do to make this setting meet every customer for printing reports in landscape style?
We will run the reports on Unix on the middle tier and customers read them in browser.

Hi,
This sounds like a similar problem that I had (and still having). It was (is) a Bug. Go to metalink.oracle.com and reference this bug#1413754. See if this is your problem as well. My only work around was change the format of the file instead of using character mode I am now using PDF. Which is working fine for me.

Is it not possible to print Flash embedded in PDF as you see it on screen?

I have this problem to which I cannot find a solution. I posted my question to another mailing list but I didn't get a reaction.
It is about printing a PDF which contains Flash movies. Actually zooming is an issue too, but printing is more important.
I have attached a sample file. When opened with Adobe Reader 9.1, the first page looks OK. The charts on the
second page are wider than the page width, so that's OK too.
Zoom in; you will observe that the Flash charts will not get resized right away. To
see the effect of zooming, set the page display to "single page", page
forward/backward.
Print the file, the size of the printed Flash charts is much smaller than what is
displayed.
Am I missing something, or isn't printing PDF with embedded Flash movies 100% supported?

i was just using my iphone 4s normally and it just froze randomly. i held down the power and home button like i usually do, because my phone freezes up on me somewhat often. i saw a "connect to itunes" screen that i have never seen before, and once i connected it to itunes, it said that it was in recovery mode and the only way i could use it is to restore it. problem: i don't want to lose everything on my phone! everytime i've tried to back it up something crashes so i've never been able to back it up, so if i restore it i've lost all my pictures for good. is there a way to get it out of recovery mode without restoring it? please help!

Canon 6D will not focus or flash in "Live View" mode.

My Canon 6D will not focus or flash in "Live View" mode. I have a canon 430ex II and a E-ttl flash connected with a sync cord for E-ttl function. The camera does simulate shutter action, but no photo is taken. How can I over-come this problem.
Once in a while, after trying to take several photos it will start working, but usually not.

It sounds like the AF Method is set to Quick Mode. When the camera is set for Live View Shooting, there are different AF Methods that can be set. In Quick Mode, the camera uses its dedicated AF sensor to focus when you press the shutter button down halfway.
The image on the LCD will be interrupted while the camera tries to focus because the shutter closes and the mirror drops back over the image sensor. This may look as though the camera is taking a picture, but it is not, it is only focusing. No flash is fired during this process either. Continue to hold the shutter button halfway until focus is achieved, at which point the image will return to the LCD. Then you can press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture. The flash will fire and an image will be recorded.

A similar issue affects our Phaser 7300. We attempt to print landscape from iCal and it chops off the edge - the calendar is moved about an inch too far to fit onto the paper. I've tried making a PDF as well and it does the same thing printing via Preview. Even if I select portrait. However it prints fine to our Samsung B/W. Both printers are networked. And in every instance it appears fine in the print preview. I've also tried printing the PDF from Acrobat and it does the same thing. Whatever the problem is, it is originating in iCal.

Is there a way to print a pdf to a pdf without changing your default printer?

With the recent Adobe update (current version Adobe Pro XI Pro (1637-0001) 11.0.00), there were some changes that have caused a program my company uses to distort all or part of a pdf once it has been imported. We have found a work around. However, the work around is now becoming time consuming with the amount of files we deal with on a daily basis. Is there a way to print a pdf to a pdf without changing the default printer to the Adobe printer? (this is our work around solution).

For what you are trying to do, probably not. You have to open Acrobat and go to the print menu to select the Adobe PDF printer if it is not the default. The only possibility that I can think of (you will have to try it to tell if that is the case) is to drag the PDF to the Adobe PDF printer and see if it prints. This used to work, but I just tried it in Win7 and it did not do the job.

Is there any wat to print attachments in a PDF Portfolio without opening each attachment individually?

We have a large PDF Portfolio with many attachments and would like to print those items all at once without opening every single attachment. I would think think that this is possible considering I took the files from outlook 2003 and you are able to print an email and its attachments in that program. If anyone knows how to do this, I would appreciate the help.

Portfolios only support the printing of PDF files (more specifically, PDF files whose security permissions allow printing). You can print all PDF files in a Portfolio without opening them all simply by opening the Portfolio and clicking on the print button in the Portfolio toolbar. If desired, you can also limit it to a selection of PDF files.
Unfortunately non-PDF files will need to be opened and printed individually from their respective apps.
