Print from an acer netbook

Just purchased a HP 5515 printer - it has eprint enabled and prints great from my iPod, not so Blackberry! The printer is set up wirelessly. I also have an Acer Netbook which I was hoping to install this printer on - so far - it seems to install but I cannot print at all.  Anyone any ideas or do I give this one up!

Hello MollytheCat,
Sorry you are running into problems printing to 2 of your 3 devices Let's see if I can can help.
There can be many things that can cause your ePrint not to print from a mobile device (such as your Blackberry). Here is a link that can help you troubleshoot the issue:

To get your Acer netbook working, I would recommend using the HP Network Diagnostic Utility found at the following link:

Hi @neeter888   welcome to the HP Forums. I understand you are trying to set your HP printer up to print from your Chromebook.
Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer
Getting Started with Google Cloud Print
If you do not have a Windows or Mac computer, you can tell your printer to connect to your router from the front panel as follows:
    Connect to the wireless network
Press the Setup button on the printer control panel.
Press the Right Arrow button to select Network Settings, and then press the OK button.
Press the Right Arrow button to select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press the OK button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the network setup.
Here are several other ways to connect to your network if you need it:
Installing the Printer Software on a Wireless or Wired (Ethernet) Network
    I hope this helps

  • Printing from Windows 8

HP LaserJet P1102w will not print from new Acer Aspire e 15.  Receive "Thunking Spooler" crash.  I have searched and downloaded the driver thinking that will correct.  My printer has been added and is the default but when selecting Print receive the "thunking spooler" error.  How can I correct this?  Is this a Windows 8, Acer or HP problem?
The Acer Aspire E 15 brand is not listed as a brand when trying the "Device Detective". Thanks,

    Hi @RussianBlueMom1 ,
I see that you are experiencing issues when trying to print, that spooler is crashing. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Clear the Print Spooler Files and Enable the Spooler Service.
In Desktop mode, press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line.
    Type Services.msc.
Double-click Printer Spooler in the Services list.
    Click Stop and click OK.
Press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line.
Type in %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printer, right click on the document and left click to delete any print jobs.
Press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line.
Type in Services.msc. Double-click Printer Spooler in the Services list.
Click on Start. In the Startup Type list, make sure that Automatic is selected and click OK.
If there was any jobs stuck in the queue, after doing these steps, go back in the Print Queue and try deleting them again.
Go to the Startup screen, (tiles menu) type in Devices and Printers, select settings, click on Devices and Printers.
Right-click on the printer and then click See what's printing.
Click Printer and then click Cancel All Documents.
Click Yes to confirm the action.
If documents remain in the print queue, restart the computer.
If you are still having issues, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
If you are still having issues, run the System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • Unable to print from MacBookPro to printer in Windows network

    Hi,
I am trying to print from a MacBookPro on an HP printer connected to a desktop computer running Windows Vista.
    MacBookPro  - running Mac OS X 10.7.5; 2 GHz Intel Core 7; 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Windows desktop computer - Acer Aspire M1100 running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit; 2.1 GHz AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core
Printer - HP Deskjet F2210 All-in-one (printer, scanner), connected to Windows Desktop via USB (direct, not hub)
Wired/Wireless environment - Motorola SBG900 Cable Modem, to which the Windows Desktop is connected either wirelessly or via Ethernet cable
The printer will print documents when connected directly to MacBookPro via USB, but over the network, this is showing:
On MacBookPro: In the printer queue, the message shows, "Waiting for print job to complete..."
On the Windows Desktop: In the printer queue, the size of the document comes up as ...KB/...KB (in my case, 10.7 KB/13.8 KB) - won't change, number of pages "N/A"
On the printer front panel: blinking On/Off button light (blinking slowly, suggesting printer is still busy) - the printer will start to kick into action, but the only thing happening is that blinking light...
... and that's it! From there, there is no more progress (even after 10-20 minutes); you have to cancel the print job on both the MacBookPro and the Windows Desktop.
This is what I have tried already:
Making sure both machines are in the same network (check)
Making sure both are in the same subnet (check)
Deactivating Windows firewall and the firewall in the router/gateway (does not solve issue)
Logging in to Windows Desktop over Finder on the Mac using a user name that is the same on both machines (does not solve issue)
Deleting Keychain Access stored passwords in case they were incorrect (does not solve issue)
Making sure drivers for printer are up-to-date on both MacBookPro and Windows Desktop (check)
Deleting the printer from the MacBookPro and letting the system find it by itself when printer  connected directly via USB (does not solve issue)
I have also tried installing the printer as described in Apple Support article HT3049 (How to manually add a Windows shared printer.) It seems like there are two ways to add a printer, one is by using the "Windows" button in the "Add printer" window toolbar, the other is by using the "Advanced" button. Both did not help.
I exchanged the printer cartridges, since low ink levels apparently can also cause errors when printing in a network (read that somewhere here - but does not solve issue either.)
In order to see if the Windows version has something to do with it, I connected a Windows 7 laptop to the printer and tried to print from the MacBook wirelessly to it (no success there, either).
When printing first when we got the MacBookPro, I think it worked to print over the network, but for whatever reason, things won't budge at the moment. (I guess, it's a driver issue, but the drivers are up-to-date.) I must be doing something wrong, I just don't seem to be able to figure out what, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Can't print from windows to shared Canon MX340

I have a new Canon MX340 on my iMac with Snow Leopard. I'm able to print from this iMac and via sharing, all of the other Macs at home. What I can't do is print from my son's Windows XP netbook. Previously, I was sharing an old HP office jet with no problem, with the new Canon one of two things happens. I used Bonjour to install the printer on the XP side.
    - with Generic Postscript selected as the driver I get the following erros in the cups error_log file
    E [29/Aug/2010:17:08:37 -0600] [Job 920] No %%Pages: comment in header!
E [29/Aug/2010:17:08:37 -0600] [Job 920] Unable to open raster stream - : No such file or directory
    E [29/Aug/2010:17:08:37 -0600] [Job 920] No pages found!
E [29/Aug/2010:17:08:37 -0600] [Job 920] Job stopped due to filter errors; please consult the error_log file for details.
    - using the MX340 driver, I simply get a single blank page
I am able to print via a network connection (the MX340 has built in WiFi), but I'd like to know how to do with via the old method.
    Any ideas?
    THANKS!

The XP Netbook should use the Generic PS driver. I've never found the Canon driver on Windows to work correctly when printing to the Mac shared printer via Bonjour for Windows.
It is unusual you are getting this error. The Mac should be converting the incoming spool file to suit the MX340. Since the Generic PS is not working then you could try the Apple Color LaserWriter 12/600 when using the Bonjour Wizard. I've used this on XP to print to my MP980 shared off 10.6.4 and it worked fine for me.
Personally I would suggest you are better off with using the MX340 wireless. This will remove the reliance on the iMac being available just so that others can print.

  • Missing NWUSBCDFIL.SYS - Suddenly unable to use USB760 on ACER Netbook - Help!

I have been using USB760 modem on my Acer Netbook for over a year now and suddenly when I try to use it, an error comes up looking for the NWUSBCDFIL.SYS driver.  I can't find this driver anywhere but I see reference to it associated to Novatel broadband modems.  I looked on the USB760 using my other laptop (works just fine there) and can't find the driver on the USB.  I've searched my XP systems looking for this driver and can't find it.  Using search I found reference to this driver being corrupted or deleted by virus scanning program.
I can't find this driver on the Verizon site either.  Does anybody have a copy of this driver for XP?  Or tell me where I can get it?

I'm sorry, but you're mixing up your concepts and I suspect you didn't read my post very thoroughly either.
You CAN use normal debugging, since the session RUNS ON THE SERVER anyway, independently from where sqldev is installed, Solaris or not has nothing to do with this. Remote debugging is exactly the same as normal debugging, just that you hook into an existing session rather than creating a new one. Just try it! Only make sure no firewall is blocking traffic between the client and the DB.
And if you insist using remote debugging, as I said you only need the client's IP where sqldev is installed.
If still no go, give us a detailed, step by step description (IPs included) of the actions you take and how sqldev responds, to try to detect what's going wrong.

  • Got an Acer netbook which has linux operating system with Firefox 3.5 installed, the check for updates is greyed out, downloaded firefox 7 but will not install, we are constantly prompted by Firefox to update as 3.5 will no longer be supported

Basically acer netbook will not allow us to update Firefox from ver 3.5 to 7, check for updates box is greyed out, thanks for your help

    Hi James,
Many thanks for your reply, the machine was bought from Currys the 3.6 download warns you it will only be supported for a short time, and recommends downloading ver 7, I am unfamiliar with the workings of Linux but the machine has been good, there must be a solution, no problem if we have to pay for the upgrade. Many thanks for your help,

  • New HP envy 5530 won't print from my computer

I just installed my HP envy 5530 through a wireless connection. It will not print anything from my computer. It shows it is printing but then the printer doesn't do anything. I can print from my andriod phone though. I have tried using the HP print and scan doctor. It says everything is fine. When I try to print a test page it doens't do anything- it will print an internal test page though. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software (I also removed all old HP software)- that didn't help. I also tried turning off my firewalls- also didn't help. Not sure what else to do.
I have windows 8.1 and an acer computer. I have had wireless printers before (HP) and never had a problem.
    Thanks for your help.
    Tara

    Hi usmc_roque,
    Thank you for your reply.
    I would suggest the following:
    - Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
    - Remove USB cable.
    - Reboot PC.
    - Download and re-install the software. HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers . click the next button next to the Operating System type. (Make sure to choose Windows XP), scroll down, and click on Driver - Product Installation Software (1), then click on the blue download button next to HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers to download the driver.
Try this as the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows, is only compatible with Windows 7, and up to Windows 8.1.
    Hi dwneylonsr,
    Thank you for your response.
I would suggest to power off the PC, then the printer. Unplug the power to your router for 30 seconds, plug the router back in. Then turn back on the printer, then the PC. After that try to Uninstall the Printer Software, and re-install again. HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Hope this information helps, and have a good day.

  • F380 all in one printing from MS Publisher 2003 & Windows XP

I am having trouble printing from Publisher 2003 only when I use the multiple per page with the numberering or merge function to print labels 3 or 5 to the page.
The function works as the printer icon pops up and it shows a number of pages to print but there is no printing action. I thought it may be a switch or toggle on the printer setup. I have looked at the printer features "Poster Printing" which I have disabled. Not sure if that is the problem or even how to use it.
    Need help.

You got a Win 7 Sony laptop that can print over the network and a Win 7 Acer that can't.  In that case I would compare settings and look for differences.  Click on Device and Printers and then Printer properties.  Compare the settings on the ports tab and correct if needed.  Also look for differences in firewall configurations.  Is network configured as public on the problem computer and private on the one that works?

  • 'Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate'

    hi,
How can i run the "Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate" standard program without runing the spwaned program called 'Dunning Letter Generate'.I mean i want to run the 'Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate'(execution method: report) independently.
I need to pass the parameters to the 'Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate' directly instead of passing to the spwaned program ''Dunning Letter Generate".
    Thanks
    Devender

    Hi Gareth,
New parameters to be add are:
    Tier : <xxxx>
    Service Segment: <xxxxx>
    Account Manager: <xxxx>
Location where I am picking these 3:
    navigation:select any AR responsibility
    customer->standard(query with any customer)->customer address
we have enabled 'site use information' dff in customer address window, from this dff we are taking these 3 parameters.
reason to add these 3 parameters:
we cant treat all the customers same. so we need to send some smooth(no harsh) dunning letters to some of our most trusted customers. so how can we identify gud customers in the list.
so we have enabled site use information dff. those customers who is have values for these 3 parameters. will be treated as v good and reguler customers for us. so for them we can send other dunning letters.
note*: this is to identify the customers like reguler customers, non requler customers.
bez in spwaned program we have parameters like 1.customer low 2.customer high. thats it .so it is very difficult to find out the nature of customer.
pls advice me on this..to proceed further..
    Thanks

  • I can't print web pages since a recent upgrade to 4.01. The print command works but the page comes out empty. right now a copy the link to IE and print from there. HELP!

When printing from the mozilla 4.01 browser the printer spits out blank pages. It seems like it happened after downloading and running mozilla 4.01 browser.
I have to copy the link to IE (boo!) to print the coupon or page on my printer.
    Why?

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

  • How can I print from the icon in FF5?

I have been unable to print from any of the icons in FF5. This has only occurred in the past few days. The only way I can print is to "Select" on the page, and then "Print Selection" on the print screen. I can print from IE by using the icons.
This is also true with my Yahoo email.

In Mac OS X, right-clicking the document's icon brings up a similar menu, but documents are printed from the application, not from the OS. The application is launched, the document opened, and the document sent to the printer, bypassing only the Print dialogue.
The same route may be triggered by dragging and dropping the file's icon onto the printer's icon in the Dock.

  • I can no longer print from a website. I can from other browsers but not Mozilla. Help

I used to be able to print any time I needed to. Then the print became so small I could not read it. Then the pages I printed from the website, printed blank pages. I contacted Thunderbird because this was first noted on email when I tried to print something from a website, they told me it was a Mozilla problem. So I then tried to print straight from the website and got the same thing. Nothing. The page is completely blank when printed.

These suggestions are not the problem and I have contacted HP and they have run all the diagnostics and they say the problem is not with the printer or the software. All other browsers print, just not Mozilla
