Print from my ipad 4

i am totally sick and tired of trying to connect my USELESS **bleep** HP printer to my ipad - what is this all about - a scam between you two (2) companies - just trying to rip us consumers off more than you already have???
My Printer is: (**bleep** useless) HP PHOTOSMART 5510 e-ALL-IN-ONE SERIES printer.
My ipad is: MD3688 / A iPad Wiifi
model: A 1430
as i state i am sick and tired of the deliberate convoluted way this is being done - i will buy Chinese or Korean next time as i am really fed up

  • Unable to print from my iPad to HP Photosmart 6520

I recently purchased this Photosmart 6520 printer so that I can print from my iPad.  I do not have a laptop that works in order to install the software that is included.  The salesperson who sold this printer to me said that I didn't need a computer in order to have this printer work w/ my iPad.
I've connected the printer to my wireless network, I've received the printer's e-mail address and enabled e-print.  On my printer it says that e-print is connected and On.
I've downloaded the eprint app on my IPad and connected it to my printer.  It recognizes my printer but when it goes to print it says "oops! we could not complete the job.  please try again. " "there was a problem during printing. please check your printer try again"
I'm getting all my jobs in the queue but none of them will print.  and when I go to my email or try to print a document from my ipad w/o using the HP e-print app its telling me that there are no airprinters found.
Please help me.  this is the 3rd printer i've bought trying to get it to print w/ my iPad and i'm not having any luck! what's wrong?  I'm not getting any errors on my printer.
I also did a wireless network test on my printer and it says no problems found.  I'm confused why isn't my iPad recognizing this airprinter?? and why can't I print.  All the print jobs say failed.

    Hi,
iOS Uses Bonjour services to communicate with the printer through the network, those relies on Multicasting.
Some routers shipped with Multicasting disabled by default and some does not support those protocols at all.
Please try printing using Wireless Direct and check for any difference, if the feature works without using the router that indicates the issue as router related and will allow us to better understand how to go further,
To set up a direct connection using Wireless Direct follow the steps below and try pritnign from your iPad:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03351623&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5169041&tmp...
Please let me know if the feature works while bypassing your router or not, as well be sure to clarify your router brand and model.

  • If I can print to a wireless printer from my Mac, wouldn't it seem like I could print from my iPad mi I and iPhone 5?

I cannot print from my iPhone5 nor my iPad mini, to a wireless HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m. I can print from my Mac book pro. Is it my settings or the printer that is not set up correctly?

First check to see if its airprint enabled, it will be listed in the first article link. If not, then there are other options listed below.

  • I cannot print from my iPad using airport express. My printer is not AirPrint compatible but is connected to airport express thru USB port. My laptop can print with no problem thru the express unit. My lap top is no a mac.

Good day, my iPad does not seem to pick up my printer. My printer is not AirPrint compatible but is connected to my airport express thru the USB port. My laptop which is windows type connects to the printer via airport express thru bonjour and this work well. My iPad does not pick up my printer thru the airport express. I have read about different software that you can download but this seems to be only if you are using a mac. I know my express is working fine as I can use airplay thru my iPad. Any ideas? I do not want to go to the expense of changing my printer, when there was no mention in the express details that your printer had to be AirPrint compatible or indeed wireless.

  • If I use my Airport Express to establish a network printer can I print from my IPad and iPhone?

I want to be able to print to a network printer with my IPad and IPhone with IOS 5.0.1.  Seems like there is a limited number of printers that can "AirPlay" from these devices.  I have an Airport Express and I know how to connect a printer and set it up as a network printer, my question is can I wirelessly print from my Ipad and iPhone then.  Seems too easy for what appears to be a limited set of new printers that have that have Thai function built in.

Printopia allows me to print from an iPad2 to any printer that is connected to the USB port of my AriPort Extreme.

  • How do I connect and print from my iPad/ iPhone to Photosmart Plus B210 without using eprint?

Help! I am new to installing stuff and using a forum- but I am rubbish and need help!
I can use eprint from my devices, but can I use air print or something like it? My old printer was always found by my phone, but this time with the hp it says 'no air printers found'.
I want to be able to just print from my ipad without having to email it!
    Please!

Hi there and welcome to the Forum. You should be able to print from your Apple device to your B210 using AirPrint as the printer is compatible with that feature. Take a look at this document for all the information you need to use AirPrint including steps you can take if you're getting a "No printers found" message on the iPad

  • How do I print from my iPad 3 using a Canon printer?

I just got the new iPad 3 and I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I hope this is possible, but I was trying to print from my iPad 3 using my Canon MP640r printer. I understand that it's not a Mac printer and there are only certain printers that are automatically compatible, but I figured with all of the capabilities of the iPad that somebody must have figured out a way of doing this.
This wouldn't be the end of the world for me but I would really like to get my iPad to print from my Canon MP640r as it would be the icing on the cake and make my life a lot easier.
    Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much, that worked like a charm.
    I appreciate it a lot.

  • Can you print from an iPad 2 using 3G in a home with no computer or wifi by using an iPhone 5 hot spot connection if the printer has been set up in another place with live wifi? I know this question is loaded but my dad lives in a rural area

Can you print from an iPad 2 using 3G in a home with no other computer or wifi by using an iPhone 5 hot spot connection if the printer has been set up in another place with live wifi? I know this question is loaded but my dad lives in a rural area and is wanting a printer to use occasionally. He doesn't want to deal with a computer and I keep his iPad updated for him at my home.  Please shed some light on this for us PLEASE. Thanks

In that case, it should be possible. I haven't tried this directly, but I believe it should work.
You'll need to get an actual AirPrint compatible Printer.
Check here for a list of Printers you can choose from.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
Once you have the compatible printer, using the Hotspot feature from the iPhone he'll have to create the Wifi bubble form the iPhone, and connect the Printer to that Wifi network.
Then connect the iPad to that same Wifi network provided by the iPhone. When all that is done, the printer should appear in any of the Apps that can Print under the Action Arrow button.
For instance in email, pressing the action arrow should show a Print option. In there the printer should appear.
Alternatively you can simply buy a wireless router and setup the network through there even if there is no internet attached.  Connect the wireless printer to the router network, and connect the iPad or iPhone to that same wifi network to print.

    No.
Printopia (running on your Mac) connects the iPad to your printer.

  • Why can't I print from my ipad?

I've had my iPad for almost a year now and I like it a lot. It looks very good, it performs very well even though I'm far from reaching my goal of only taking my ipad to school, nothing else.
One important reason why this won't be the case for quite a while still is that I can't print from the iPad.
Let me explain. I make quite a number of worksheets. Being a teacher this is one of the things you do so that the students have something to write on and do exercises. Over the years there have been many of these and my initial thought was to put them all on the iPad and print them when needed. But imagine my surprise when I found out that printing from an iPad seems to be near impossible.
Other colleagues of mine got themselves cheap EEPCs and they work fine. They can access the local printer easily printing whatever they wish. But I can't do that! Unless my school buys a new Air-thingy printer from HP I just won't print there! And that just *****.
I've bought a sleek and expensive machine that is so sophisticated - that I can't use it the way I want to. And that isn't even ******** about the file system that seems to be equally messed up.
My question is, why can't I print from the iPad? Printing had been announced many times before the launch of iOS 4 and then, all of a sudden, nothing more. How can this be? Why do I have to buy additional software - which is not really cheap and far from certain to work at all - just to be able to print a few pages?
Please help me understand this, as I see it, major flaw of the iPad and iOS 5.

    Thanks guys,
I seem to have understood by now.
    To sum it up:
    - I can print with the iPad directly if the printer is Airprint compatible.
    - I can print via a number of more or less working apps.
I've downloaded some HP software for my iPad and even seem to be able to access it from some other apps, that is except Apples Pages app. Sigh! So whenever I have to make changes in my documents, I still can't print.
GoodReader on the other hand lets me send my documents to the HP app, but the app/HP won't let me print microsoft docs unless I register and send my documents over to HP where the printing prep is being made, then they send it back to me/my printer. Anyway GoodReader blows my layout apart, so I must change it on the iPad, but when I do …
    It's a big catch.
You must realize that printing really isn't that comfortable and that as a spoiled old Mac user I might be excused for wishing something more workable.
The truth seems to be that I've got to carry all those docs on a USB-stick, move them over to the Windows-machine at our school and print from there - which is what I do on a daily basis already.
All those workarounds that may or may not work (check out user comments on those printing apps!) are so annoying that my overall question remains pretty much the same.
But I could also rephrase the question: Why can't I print from the so-called best tablet office app even if I am equipped with all the apps I apparently need?
Please understand that this is not Apple-bashing in any way. This is a real problem for me in my everyday life. I won't be persuading my school to buy AirPrint printers just because of my little problem and I honestly don't want to spend more money on printing apps that seem never to even have gone through beta testing.
Still, thanks for you efforts. I guess I'll just have to wait for Microsoft Office for iPad to get that big problem solved.

    Hi,
Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:

If YES, you can use this to fix/setup:
    iPad: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
    iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/
