Print headers in 10.4.4

I'm glad to see that Tiger has included info headers and footers on prints. It's really handy when printing web pages.
My problem is that the header is half cutoff. I know it's probably because of my printer's minimum margin being too large. But, is there a way to reposition the header so that it completely prints on each page? There is no problem with the footer position.
Right now, Epson has no updated MacIntel drivers for my R200. Currently using v.4.4.
I recall in an older version of Internet Explorer there was a preference panel (OS 9, I believe) which gave options for header/footer content and such. I'm wondering if there is a similar preference (or something) in Tiger which would allow me to change the header/footer.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

What you probably need to do is go to Page Setup, select your printer rather than the default Any Printer, and then save that as default.
Header/footer content is governed by the browser you are using. Check the preferences and application-specific Print settings you have to see what can be controlled.

  • Printing headers and footers

I cannot get my printer to print headers & footers.
    Using:
    WinXP Pro SP3
    HP Photosmart D7560
    Firefox v. 3.6.8
    All drivers are up-to-date

In 1.3 there was no such animal. I made a header and footer object (a one line JLabel) which was inserted into each page. I doubt anything like that was added to 1.4's printing capabilities.

  • Adjust print headers/footers in Safari. Not just on/off.

How does one adjust the print headers and footer for Safari like in Firefox?
For example I may want to include the wesite URL but not the date/time inforamtion. The only option I see now is an on/off option.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Safari for WIndows Printing Headers/Footers

Safari has always supported disabling headers and footers from html pages on the Mac, and every other browser allows it as well. I saw a post describing how to force them off by editing the plist file for safari from a windows machine, but seems to be a little much to do just to turn of the header/footer.
Is there any reason why this functionality never made it to any of the Safari windows versions? Or is it to be expected sometime soon.
Seems like a ridiculous thing to leave out

There is no "Print headers and footers" options under the File/Printers menu or anywhere else that I can find on my Safari running on Windows 7.  I am using Safari 5.1
I am helping/tech support for those who have Macs and need to print mailing labels from an online database program. The header and footer mess up the label printing. I am using Safari on Windows 7 to try an figure out what to tell my Mac users what to do. It sure would be nice if Safari on Windows and Safari on Macs had the same menu structure.

  • Exporting Crystal Report data to the Excel Print Headers

Hello everyone.  I am trying to do something with Excel headers that is a little more advanced than the usual.  I have multiple reports that are designed to export to Excel.  Normally I only export a report header.  However, I have a customer who wants a label to appear in each page header and footer in Excel. Here is the catch - they want the label to appear in the Excel print header and footer, not just on the main excel page.  The label contains an SBU marking, so there is a requirement that it gets printed on every page.
If you are not familiar with the print header, it is a separate section of an Excel document that appears when you print the excel document.  For this operation, I don't think I can use the built-in Crystal Export options.  I have tried to Export to Microsoft Excel and I can send the page header and footer to the Excel data sheet, but not to the print header/footer.
    Thanks for your help!
      - David

    Hi David,
I haven't worked with Excel's headers and footers but you are correct that Crystal can't export to those sections.  I have though had to make modifications to an Excel file after exporting and I believe you will need to do something similar to what I did.
After I exported the report to Excel, I had a program I wrote that opened the Excel file and modified it.  In my case I just had to encrypt it, zip it up and email it.  You may need to do something as well outside of Crystal and Excel.  Crystal doesn't export to an Excel template so automating it in Excel wouldn't work.
    Good luck,
    Brian

  • How to print Headers for Delimited Report?

    Hello,
I am able to generate a Delimited report. Report is running and saving to a specified folder as a ASCII file(.txt). I can open that file using Excel and every thing looks good. But the problem is with the headers, to the columns. I would like to print the Header to each column. Other wise we do not know which column is which. Any kind of feed back is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    EV

If you're using 6i Patchset 11, you might like to take a look at the "delimiteddata" command line option rather than using "delimited" output.
"delimiteddata" is driven from the data model and you can specify which columns you want to include and also define the column header values in the same fashion as the XML tags.
You should be able to get more details from Metalink.

I am trying to add headers to my pdfs and have them print them out on my laser. I am supplying mags w/Pdfx1a's and need to add our agency name and Issue for which the ad is running to the pdf. However-the headers will not print unless they are within the crop area of the ad-which obviously I dont want. Is there some margin setting that I can change? • Printing headers on all pages

In mail i know that it prints the email header on the top of the first page...but is there a way to specify a header (or footer) for the pages that would include information such as subject, from, and (most importantly) page X of Y???
I cannot seem to figure this out directly in mail, my only workaround would be to export as PDF, add the footer, and then print...but that takes too much effort

Nope, no way to do that that I've ever seen or heard of. It's really unnecessary, anyway.

  • Printing Headers in Workbooks

    Hi All,
I have a peculiar problem in the BI Workbooks. I have some header information which is based on what I enter in the input Selection screen at run time. viz Name of the report/ Company Code/ Cost center/ Date and time of Report etc. When I do a Print Preview for taking a Print this Header Information does not appear. Could anyone let me know if this can be preset in the Workbook settings . Any help is appreciated - Navin

  • Printing w/o headers and footers in OSX10.5

I am trying to print from Firefox (or any other browser) without the header and footer. I have seen posts from other places saying to use the 'Page SetUp' to adjust margins, remove headers/footers etc, but in OSX10.5 those options are not available. Any help??

Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums
Look just to the right of the printer name in the print dialogue box and click on the little black triangle there - this will open a larger dialogue box that includes more options - in Safari print background and print headers and footers are there - the exact options depend on the software you are printing from

  • Printing webpages headers & footers

Safari will not print headers or footers when a webpage is printed.
My G4 Mac uses Panther OS X 10.3.9, which uses Safari most recent update of 1.3.1. Safari does list Help on this subject, but it is Safari 2.0. I've tried the directions, but it does not work.
It is necessary to have the headers & footers listed (it gives the date and the website). Without that option, I am ready to return to Explorer.
Can anyone help find an answer to this problem?
    Betts

I just noticed I myself confused the title of two utilities in my post linking to the shareware utility Safari Extender. I accidentally called it Safari Enhancer, which is an excellent free utility that does other useful things than Safari Extender does. It sounds from your last post, that you have Safari Extender, which is the one you needed for the problem you had.
I am sorry to have caused this confusion. But I am very glad to hear that you have an answer to your problems.

  • Safari 4 - print dialog box - headers and footers

In Safari 4 (winxp), the ability to disable printing of headers and footers is missing.
This feature has been standard in all mac versions (and is there in Safari 4/mac).
PLEASE Apple, we ned to not print headers and footers at our option.
    Is there a workaround?
    Thanks.

Well the quick and dirty way to do that is editing the com.apple.Safari.plist [in %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\Preferences] and adding the boolean option "PrintHeadersAndFooters" set to false.
I did it by copying the plist file under OSX and editing by using the property list editor.
I think that this isn't the "right way" but it worked for me...

  • Default print size on Safari

Print on Safari set to A4 and I must reset each time ... other applications are ok, how can set US letter as default??

    Hi,
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. Relaunch Safari. Try US letter.
If it works for you, try deselecting: Print  headers and footers

  • Is it possible to print JTable and custom JPanel on the same page?

    Hello everybody!
I have a custom panel extending JPanel and implementing Printable.
I am using paint() method to draw some graphics on it's content pane. I would like to print it, but first I would like to add a JTable at the bottom of my panel. Printing just the panel goes well. No problems with that.
I was also able to add a JTable to the bottom of JFrame, which contains my panel.
But how can I print those two components on one page?

Hi, thanks for your answer, but I thought about that earlier and that doesn't work as well... or mybe I'm doing something wrong. Here is the sample code:

                        job.print(attributes);
              } catch (PrinterException e) {
                   JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this, e);
    }UPDATE:
I've managed to get this to work, by calling 2 methods inside the outer frame's print method (lines 78 and 79)
    Those two methods are:
    rp.paint(g2D);
reportTable.paint(g2D);but still it is not the way I would like it to be.
First of all both the ReportPanel and ReportTable graphics are printed with the upper-left corner located in the upper-left corner of the JFrame and the first one is covering the second.
Secondly, I would like to rather implemet the robust JTable's print method somehow, because it has some neat features like multipage printing, headers & footers. But I have no idea how to add my own graphics to the JTables print method, so they will appear above the JTable. Maybe someone knows the answer?
    Thanks a lot
    UPDATE2:
I was googling nearly all day in search of an answer, but with no success. I don't think it's possible to print JTable using it's print() method together with other components, so I will have to think of something else i guess...
