Print iCal in 10.4

When I switched to 10.4, iCal no longer printed the same way. It used to print a block around the event and it would be in the color you choose when you printed the weekly view. Now it just prints a color bar on the left. You can't see color of the events as blocks and it is just not visual enough. Why did they chanbge that? Is there any hope of getting them to fix it?

Have you figured a way around this--it drives me crazy.

Print ical weekly view with fewer hours

When I print iCal in a weekly view, It prints 24 hours. Obviously that isn't necessary. How can I get it to print only 12 hours or the hours I have on my schedule?

I was able to figure it out. Apparently I had the times in wrong for an event and it went from pm one day to am the next day, hence prining 24hr. When I corrected this is solved my problem. Thanks for your patience.

I'd also like to see this.
Ideally it would be paired with an SDK extension to allow us to build custom export modules for the various printing services out there. But at a minimum it should support writing to PDF for books that can be viewed online, and writing to JPEGs (one per page) to provide "lowest common denominator" support for the book printing services currently out there.

I want to print iCal with Mondays in the left hand side column. My calendar prints with Tuesday in the left hand column even though it displays Mondays in the left hand column when in normal use.

Printing iCal To Do Items

Hi All.
Are there options for printing iCal To Do Items?
I am printing 2 calendars per page so that I can write on them and share the calendar with colleagues. I am also syncing certain projects with certain individual calendars. So I am hoping to be able to print out this additional information (the To Do Items) along with the individual calendars.

the only solutions i have found:
to print ONLY the ToDo items without a due date:
In ICal, go to File, then Print, under View -choose List and select Date, etcc and, then, under Options, deselect everything but ToDo
to print all the ToDo items:
select the top ToDo, go to Edit, Select All, Copy, and open Text Edit (or presumably some other word software), Paste, Print

Printing iCal weekly list view

Experimenting with a trial version of Missing Sync to sync my Palm with iCal. Is it possible to delete the notes that appear under each event when I print the weekly list view? I print out 8 days and I want to keep it to one page. Eliminating the notes would help. Or is it possible to add the time frame to each event in the week view so you can more easily see the begin and end time for each event?
Is the Missing Sync program worth it or should I just use the sync program that came with iCal?

Print iCal calendar and display location

When I print a calendar in month view, I need to see the location and it's not there. Does anyone know how to get location to print on month view printed calendars?
I'm using iCal v3.0.6.

Are you found of the Month View look. Because you can print in list view and add more days. How many days you can print on a page depends on the details and how many events you have. But it will give you your location information. I will continue to look into it but that is what I've found so far.

Print ical to filofax?

Does anyone know of a way in which I can print out my ical calendars, preferably "week to a view" on Filofax size paper i.e. 7cm wide by 10cm tall?

Please can you help? I know how to print the 'List' view from ICAL to show to dos but it seems very limited.
I really need to see the to dos in the order shown in ICAL, i.e. if I sort them by priority or by calendar this should be how they print, but they seem to show in a random order? Also the priority does not show on the printout which I want to be able to see.
I would prefer to just print my to dos with little or no calendar info. If I choose to show no all day or timed events, none of the to dos with due dates show on the printout. If I just show a couple of days worth of calendar only the to dos with due dates in this period show on the print, when I want to see them all. Also to dos with due dates that are past do not show. All a bit frustrating. I've started duplicating any to dos where I want an alarm as an event and then also having the to do without a due date so it shows when printed.

Print iCal --- filofax size/format

While iCal is very useful when I'm in the office, often I'm on the road and don't have the computer with me. Is it possible to print the information in iCal so that it is formatted to fit the filox personal sized pages? I also have Pages and wonder if it can be a specialized template through that.

Work in any convenient size, within the work area, and adapt size to the actual purposes including printing.

Print iCal Calendar - ? Portrait View

Is there a way to print my iCal Calendar in Portrait View other than saving it as a .pdf file & then printing?
I cannot find the Portrait - Landscape options when printing in iCal.

I haven't figured it out either - kind of makes it worthless to print if you can't see the details, only the header. and you can't iSync the details to a phone or PDA either. huge miss on apple's part if we're not missing something....

The good news ICAL now shows up on my MAC ---year, after years!!

Safari is bad at printing - it is a complex webpage after all and Apple have not setup the print styling correctly for the page, you can continue to fight the issue or look at alternatives to achieve your aim.
Post a bug report to http://apple.com/feedback/ but then you have to wait & hope Apple fix it, who knows when or if that will ever happen.
Do you have these calendars setup in the Mac Calendars application? You must be 'subscribed' to these calendars in iCloud if they are from other users - simply subscribe to them in the Mac calendars application too.

The PDF output is great and that would also print well. It has, list, week & day views too.

I couldn't believe that my version of iCal (1.5.5 with Panther) can print a calendar, but cannot print the Event Notes from the "info" pane, with the calendar...

Presumably, a calendar user would use the Event Notes (in the "info" pane) to record important detail about an event: the doctor's office address and phone(s), the conference call number and passcode, and such...

Trying to print ical

Hi, I am trying to print one month to send to volunteers so they can circle shifts they can work during a 10 day festival. Problem is, when I put the times in I can only do it with the ALL DAY option otherwise when I print just the iCal it not only prints what is I wrote on the calendar heading, but also the start time. I only need times, and in order of earliest time to latest.
Also, why is my iCal printing out purple rather than in black when I click on Black and White?
If anyone has any idea what I am talking about I would love some help.

Beth, I read your post several times, and I am still confused.
it not only prints what is I wrote on the calendar heading, but also the start time.
Is the problem that it is giving you times, or that it is giving you the calendar heading?
I only need times, and in order of earliest time to latest.
But it gives the times, in time sequence.
Please try restating the problem, with maybe an example or two.

Printing Ical Server Calenders

I'm trying to print the calender that I see on the Ical Server webpage. Is there anyway to print the week or month view so that it prints the way I see it. Right now it prints one column with time and without any borders or background. The events are listed sporadically which makes the printed copy unusable. Is there anyway to change this. I believe it could be a style sheet problem?
I'm sure if I use ical it would print fine however I'm using the web calendar and would like to print from safari or firefox.
