Print invitation on 5 x 7

I created an invitation in word formated for 5 x 7 paper, but i can on put the paper in the center

Hi,
This is from its manual, page #34:
Tips for selecting and using print media
For the best results, observe the following guidelines:
• Always use media that conforms to the device specifications. For more
information, see Understand specifications for supported media.
• Load only one type of media at a time into a tray. If you place a special media on
top of a plain media, then you may end up with a paper jam or an incorrect print.
• For Tray 1 and Tray 2, load media print-side down, aligned against the back of the
tray. Center the media in the input tray and adjust the paper-width guides. Tray 2 is
available with some models. For more information, see Load media.
• Tray 2 is designed to hold only plain paper. Tray 2 does not automatically detect
paper sizes. In the printer driver, you must select the paper size from the print
options.
Regards.

  • Printing invitations

I'm trying to print invitations on 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 cardstock with my Officejet Pro 8600.  I can't get the printer to recognize my card size.

    Hi Tom41,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issues trying to print invitations.
I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
If the print size isn't listed in the drop down from the printer preferences you would normally setup a custom size.
The print driver doesn't have the custom feature.
You could install the Deskjet 9800 as a generic driver which you would have different features available to you.
    Making custom size prints.
Depending what operating system you are using. Here are the steps for Windows 7.
On the computer, go to start, devices and printers, select add printer.
Follow the steps, select HP and Deskjet 9800 from the list.
Set this one as the default printer.
Try setting the custom size and test it.
Please let me know what operating system you are using.

  • Printing invitations on HP photosmart 7510

I have invitations to print on my HP photosmart 7510 but there is no option for custom paper size or anywhere I can select the card stock size 5.25 x 7.75. When I load the paper in the main tray and print it gives me an error message that the paper size is a mismatch and if I keep pressing ok it will print but not in the center.
I have spent so many hours researching this with no solution. Help would be so appreciated. Many thanks!

Generally speaking newer drivers have stream-lined paper options, however you ususally can go back to an alternate driver which gives you thos options back. Check this link and see if it resolves your issues :

  • I am trying to print invitations on a 6 x 12 paper.

I want to have the wording twice on this sheet of paper then I'll cut the paper in half for two invitations.
I keep setting everything up, but the printer still prints this off center on the 6" wide paper.   It prints as if to center
on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper.   How can I get it to print centered on the 6" paper?

Have you tried using a different paper size in the application you are using. For instance you can select
A5 which is 5.83 X 8.27. This will tell the printer that you have a different size paper and it should adjust. Also there is a customer option and you can tell it exactly what size you have. You may have to play with it to find the right one. The option is under page layout or setup depending on the application.

  • Printing invitations 2 to a page

I'm trying to use note cards with the Avery template 8315. How do I set up pages to recognize that type of paper? I need to print front and back on the cards.
I am a relatively new Mac user converted from the pc world so some of this software is new to me. I'm using a Canon IP4200 printer.

I tried downloading the Avery template from the web page. It is in doc format but it might be an old version of Word. Pages had difficulty with it, and even Open Office struggled.
You will need to set a custom paper size. Dimensions should be on the Avery box.
    • Open the Inspector and click on the blank white tab to the far left.
    • Click on the page setup button.
    • From the 'Settings' pulldown menu select "custom paper size."
    • Enter the dimensions of the paper.
    Next create your grids
    • Make sure Show Layout is selected in the view menu. you should see horizontal and vertical rulers.
    • Click anywhere on rulers and without releasing the mouse drag down into the document. A blue grid line will follow your mouse and you can place this in your document.
    • Measure the Avery templates to see where you need to place the grid lines.
    • Save this document as a template.

  • Printing invitations

I have a HP Photosmart 2610. I'm trying to figure out how to print 5x7 cardstock. It just keeps printing off center or not at all. I need help with the settings I think.

You might have already tried the following, but let me know if any of this information helps.  I took it from the printer's User Guide.
    Load postcards or Hagaki cards
You can load postcards or Hagaki cards into the main input tray of your HP all-in-one,
or into an optional rear input tray. (In Japan, this accessory is called the
Hagaki Tray with Auto Two-sided Print Accessory. Elsewhere, it is called the
HP Auto Two-sided Print Accessory with Small Paper Tray.)
For the best results, set the paper type and size before printing or copying.
For more information, see the onscreen HP Image Zone Help.
To load postcards or Hagaki cards in the main input tray
    1 Remove the output tray.
2 Remove all paper from the input tray.
3 Insert the stack of cards into the far right side of the input tray with the short edge
forward and the print side down. Slide the stack of cards forward until it stops.
Tip For more help on loading postcards or Hagaki cards, refer to the icons
engraved in the base of the input tray for loading photo paper (indicated by
    paper and camera icons).
4  Slide the paper-length and paper-width guides inward against the stack of cards
until they stop.  Do not overload the input tray; make sure the stack of cards fits within the input tray
and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.
    5 Replace the output tray.
To load postcards or Hagaki cards in the optional rear tray
➔ The HP Auto Two-sided Print Accessory with Small Paper Tray and the
Hagaki Tray with Auto Two-sided Print Accessory are available for this product.
For information on loading paper in either of these accessories, read and follow the
instructions that came with the accessory.

  • How to print custom invitation size on Deskjet 1050 J410?

I have a HP Deskjet 1050 J410. I am trying to print invitations on 5.5x7.5 cardstock. I went to change the paper size and I don't have that option for my size paper. Is there a way for me to input the size or maybe update my printer?

Please read this post then provide some details.   What operating system? What program are you printing from?
It does not appear that the J410 allows custom paper size, at least in the Windows 7 version, but O**bleep**u hagaki is 7.87" x 5.83" which may be close enough.  I would suggest using plain paper cut to your size for test pieces, fiddle a bit with the right/left and top/bottom margins to get the desired results.  [OK, the naughty word filter does not like the name, but pick the one as shown in the picture below :-)]

  • How do I print multiple images from one pdf?

I am printing invitations, the image size is 6x6 and I'm printing on 12x18 paper.  Is there a fast/easy way in acrobat to place this mage multiple times?
I have seen people at the print shop do something similar, but I have no idea what they're doing.

Duplicate the image several times as new pages and then select "Multiple pages per sheet" under Page Scaling in the Print dialog.

  • Change labels in print menu from address book

I am trying to print invitation labels from my address book for a personal party. I would like to change the labels in the print menu to add "and guest" or "and family". I called Mac support but they couldn't help me. Does anyone know how to manipulate the the guest names in the print menu to make it "party friendly" versus "business version"? Thanks!
    macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Welcome to the Discussions Jenp13,
NO, you can't edit any data in the print menu in OSX. There are several programs that you can use that will interface with or accept data from Address Book. From searching sites like Apple's Made4Mac page or checking out macupdate you can find many.
PearLabelizer is free and Mail Factory and HomePrint Labels are other options that I came across. Most are able to d/l and try for free before purchase, so check out a few and make sure it fits your need before buying.

  • Photosmart D5160 won't print A7 envelopes

I am trying to print A7 envelopes and have created a custom paper size to match 5.25 x 7.25 since there are lots of other envelope options but not A7.  I do not understand how the printer can print 5x7 photos but not an envelope to send them...anyway.  When choosing my custom size and indicating it should pull from the main tray, it starts the print job and then goes to the photo tray to pull the paper.  The photo tray does not accommodate anything larger than a 5 x 7 photo paper, at least mine does not....can you tell me how to work around this issue? My custom setting: Paper source:  Main TrayPaper size: 5.25 x 7.25   (I even tried alternating to 7.25 x 5.25)  Please help me, I am printing invitations and envelopes for my son's wedding and bought this printer specifically for the task never imagining I could not print a simple envelope. Lilly
