Print Issue: Removing Color Bars

There are color bars and add compass like bullets on the outside of my document...Can anyone tell me how I can remove these when I print using Adobe Reader 9.0?  Thanks!!
Stacy

Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?  I've been trying to look for a print preview screen to see if I can remove them there...but haven't had luck (and have been acquiring many gray hairs in the process...no surprise).
Thanks again for your help!!

  • Printing issues with color mgmt on a HP 7180 photosmart printer - Can you help?

I've been have an ongoing issue with my Adobe Elements 6.0 and printing my pictures off a HP7180.  The colors don't match what I see on the monitor as well what's on my camera.  I can send the pictures to KodakEasyshare online and the pictures come back with the same colors as to what I see within my application and monitor.  I've run test pages off my printer and everything is good.  Help me, PLEASE.

I've tried printing from both the catalog and the editor screen and I've fooled around with the color mgmt.  The printing is still off.  The colors are vibrant from what I can see and when it prints it's not as sharp and the colors tend to be dull or maybe leaning towards more green/blue sometimes even more reddish - orange.  I've taken the liberty and reseted the printer to factory defaults on the hardware and on the pc...It's till giving me this problem.  What's amazing is I can print from Kodakgallery software, photoalbum 3.2 from adobe and the colors are some what true to color.  I can't get it to print right with elements.

  • What happened to adding crop, bleed, print marks and color bars to a document?

I can't seem to find them anywhere... are they gone?

You can create two types of trim marks in Illy CS6.
For either, select all the objects you want within the trim marks. One type  is available from the Object menu and creates a group of the marks based upon the bounding box and are offset just as the marks are when you create a PDF.
The second option is (again with the object(s) selected) is available from the effects menu. These are a live effect and change dimension as the art is resized. Using this option, Illy places marks around each and every object unless you group all the objects. Once ungrouped, the marks are removed. These marks are also aligned precisely on the objects' bounding box instead of being offset.

My G 85 all in one inkjet printer was working fine until it suddenly displayed "remove and check color cartridge". Now it won't print. I removed both the color and B/W cartridges and cleaned contacts on printer and on cartridges. After re-insertion same message. Removed color cartridge and installed a new color cartridge. Same message is displayed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Printing a color bars chart

    Hi,
I have photoshop cs5. I also have the Epson R1900 printer. I love this printer but if I don't print enough the heads get clogged. I wanted to see if anyone knows the RGB color codes or a site where I can download a color bar page that would represent all eight colors of my Epson printer. What I want to do is print a 8.5 x 11 page every few days that will use each of the printheads wherefore keeping the print heads from clogging. Untill a better solution comes along.
    Thanks,
    John Gerard

That's exactly my problem too! Running the head cleaner is way too expensive when you start adding up the .25% usage per cartridge x 8, per session, (each cartridge average best price: $13.50) and each session can easily involve 3 to 5 head cleaning attempts, (and that's if you're lucky!).
Anyway, I see a number of RGB test prints and I can shoot a few myself as well. The idea to use the R1900 cartridges as a test print is great! I think that would be sure to run each of the cartridge's print nozzles, which is the entire point.
Then I'll run that print once per week and I can avoid yet another massive loss of time, (if not ink), in a recent re-prime/nozzle-clean I had to do because I was away for two weeks. The technique is a combination of an on-line tutorial and the nozzle cleaner’s instructions:
First, I pressed the 'ink cartridge change' button to get the carrier in the ink changing position. once it's there and waiting, I unplug the printer from the wall, (very important). Then I placed a paper towel sheet, (it's important to use a paper towel brand that doesn't easily tear or have a lot of loose lint). I used "Bounty" Select-a-sheet and I used only one-half of a full size sheet. The "select-a-sheet" version has perforations permitting you to tear off a half sheet instead of a whole one.
Then, I folded the half sheet 3 times so that I had a strip that was now about 1" to 1.25" wide and 12" long, (the length of the sheet as supplied). I place that strip in the pathway of the cartridge carrier and then squirted the length of the entire strip with about 6ml of alcohol solution, (Windex mixed with alcohol is supposed to be even better).
I then gently slid the carrier over the paper towel strip and to get it started, I pressed down on the strip's edge nearest the carrier while pushing the carrier to the left. I pushed the carrier over to the left until I could see the end of the paper towel strip appear on the right side of the carrier. Then grasped both ends of the strip and gently pulled one end of the strip and then the other, (as if it were a belt), to wipe the bottom of the carrier.
Then I moved the carrier and strip together, back to the ink-changing position so that the lid of the carrier could open. I left the strip under the carrier for the remaining cleaning procedure.
I then extracted a small amount of ink from each cartridge with a syringe, (no needle, just the syringe), via the cartridges own ink port. That was to make sure I 'pulled' any clot from the cartridge that may have existed and to prime the cartridge in the process.
Finally, after doing that 8 times, I closed the carrier’s lid, (very important), and removed the paper towel strip from under it. I plugged the printer back in and after it settled to its “ready” state, I ran a head cleaning procedure.
I didn’t check the nozzle pattern first! I ran the head cleaning process first because I wanted to clean out any residual alcohol and surfaces before anything really had much time to dry. Then I ran the nozzle pattern check and I could now see the 8 cartridges were working.
They weren’t putting out ink correctly at this point but I didn’t expect them to. I ran another head cleaning twice in a row and then tested the nozzle pattern and “viola”, 100% passed!
I only used this procedure in extreme cases such as this one, where I had no nozzle pattern visible from any inks after the printer had been off an unused for an extended period of time. If I were to run the R1900’s head cleaning procedure to try and fix it, I would have likely hit the ink pad limit and then would have had that to deal with before I could continue.
The ‘auto-clean’ option for the ink head would have used an entire cartridge for each color and still may not have cleaned it well enough to get a good pattern test. I know this because I did exactly that about a year ago.
The printer was unused for a prolonged period of time and when I started it and tested the pattern, there was no pattern to see! I had at least 3 ink cartridges of each color in my stock supply so I ran the major head cleaner function over and over and literally used up a full ink cartridge of all 8 inks plus about another .25%!
This procedure I outlined above WILL work but you have to be methodical and it will take about an hour. A better way is to run a RGB test print once per week!

  • Bar code printing issue in sapscript

    hi guys,
there is an issue to capture bar code with special symbol in sapscript.
please advise what can be done here to solve the problem. Thanks.
    zebra code in sapscript:
    ^BY2,3.0^FO36,66^B3N,N,56,N,N^FR^FD>:15[]=/\+|-79{}-02<30#$%^@?^FS
    value capture through scanner:
    15/+-79-0230
    zebra code in sapscript:
    BY2,3.0FO36,222B3N,N,56,N,NFRFD>:K7R161884B-FC16(DC>501)FS
    value capture through scanner:
    K7R161884B-FC16DC501

    hi!!!!!!!!!!!
to print barcodes in sapscripts you have to do following steps..
    1.choose Character format options
    2. Then choose change mode.
    3. provide a name say C1 in character format option and then press enter.
4.provide description for that character format say C1.
5.you can find barcode option.place the cursor in that one and press F4 then it will display the list of barcodes available.
6.choose one of them say BC_MSIC.
Now you have created a character format say C1 with the Barcode properties.
    Exmaple:
If you want to print the price in barcode format which is in ITAB-Netwr, you have to give the syntax in the script editor like ....
    <C1>&ITAB-NETWR&</>
then it will prints barcode in your output....

  • Help me solve color and dark print issue with a new monitor recommendation!

I know, I hate "surveys" too. I'm thinking of attacking my color and dark printing issues w\LR and CS4, by investing in a new monitor. I currently have an 20' early edition Apple Cinema Display. The monitor is the last hardware (software) item in my current upgrade cycle. From those folks who are NOT having color or print problems, what displays are you using (or would recommend)? Ah, and price is an issue. Apologies in advance to those who think this is not appropriate use of the Forum.

Monitor calibration is the first port of call. Sometimes changing one item in a system is enough to show up a colour management issue. You suggest that the monitor is the last item in your upgrade cycle, what all have you changed? Computer, printer? There may also be a setting you have failed to set when you installed the new software, eg. have you remembered to set relative colorimetric with the black point compensation box ticked, disable colour management in your printer driver and put an appropriate colour profile for your monitor onto the new computer? You also need the correct profile for your printer/paper combination set up in Photoshop.
If you haven't calibrated your monitor, that on its own will give you poor prints, but all the other bits are needed also.

  • Color print issues

I installed new color cartridges in my printer today (HP Photosmart 6520) and the color is not printing at all.  I have cleaned the print heads 3 times - still no color.  I also checked to make sure the print in gray scale is turned off.  Is it possible these new cartridges are defective?

How do I fix this problem ... the printer says remove and check color cartridge.  I have done this many times.  No change it still says the same thing.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?  Is the cartridge an HP or a third party?

  • Color Printing issue on Canon MP600 Printer and Mavericks upgrade

I realize that some people have been having problems scanning with the new upgrade on their printer, however, I am have trouble printing in color with the new Mavericks upgrade. Black and white is fine, but if there is any logo or color fonts, they are distorted. How do I go about fixing this?

I too was having the same issue where I was unable to print in color on my MP600 with Mavericks. It printed incorrect font, colors and distorted the size and placement on page .  I followed the above instructions to download the MP600R via the Canon UK website and it has solved my problem.
If anyone is as computer illiterate as I seem to be: After downloading the MP600R driver and installing it, I went to System Preferences>Printers and Scanners> delete the printer currently listed>add a new printer and select the MP600R from the list of software to choose.
I have yet to delete any software/driver files related to the old printer, so I was able to correct the problem simply by downloading the new driver, deleting the current printer, and adding a "new" printer selecting the MP600R.
So happy it is now resolved as this has been driving me crazy for months!

  • XP pro-64bit issue printing to a color laserjet cp3800dn

    Need help troubleshooting this issue:
User is unsuccessful in printing to a Color LaserJet cp3800dn directly from an IP address.
I've tried to install the 64bit version of the driver - that didn't work
The version of XP is SP3.
Fortunately the user can print to this printer as a network shared resource. But when I tried to assign printer by IP address--because user wants to configure double-sided printing--i get the message "local downlevel document" failed to print. And I would have to cancel it from the print que.
I've tried to change the printer configuration to "print directly to printer" but seem to dislike that option because it freezes after selecting that option and try to print.
I've also tried to restart the computer once after installing HP printer drives and after making modifications to printer preferences, no luck.
Anyone encountered this issue before and have suggestions?

Phillip -- that did seem to work. Thanks!
One thing of note, after sleuthing it out a bit more, I realized that this happened after I was prompted by Apple's Software update to update the driver to version 1.1.1 (I think that was the number). that update seems to have broken Acrobat, so returning to the one on the Adobe site restores the functionality.
Perhaps this will be an alert to others not to install the Apple driver when prompted, though it's easy to let that slip by.

  • Color (onscreen/print) issues after update to 10.4.9

I am on the hunt for any new information - I haven't found it yet. I am convinced that one printer profile has gone haywire after the OSX 10.4.9 update. I can no longer use it accurately to onscreen proof nor application manage print in Aperture. The other printer profiles seem to be working. Using PSE4 I get the same preview and print results - major yellow/orange colorcast. My other two printers are working ok.
I understand proofing may/will present a shift in lightness, contrast, etc. and you can create an Aperture version to make adjustments for that profile. But I am experiencing a major shift that is difficult to adjust in the overall image.
Has anyone experienced "all of a sudden" icc profile / onscreen proofing / printer issues after the update (FYI ColorSync was updated in that)? I have tried just about everything except un/reinstalling Aperture.

Did you find out anything about this? I'm having exactly the same problems with Aperture and 10.4.9. Onscreen proofing is completely useless for all profiles supplied by HP (I have a B9180 printer). It might of course be an issue with these particular profiles, but odd thing is that it's only the screen rendering that looks wrong (yellow or reddish cast) while the prints looks just great.

  • Bad photo prints on HP Color LaserJet CP5225dn Printer

    Hey all,
Having an issue outputting photos on my new HP Color LaserJet P5225dn printer from Adobe products. Am curious if anyone else might have run across the same issue and possibly found a solution. Here's the background information...
    Running Windows 8.1 Pro.
HP Envy Phoenix w/Intel core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
    32 GB RAM
    2TB Raid 0 HD
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 640
Spyder-profiled HP Pavilion 25xi monitors (dual setup)
Running Adobe Creative Cloud (latest builds--issue present in prior versions, too).
Using HP Universal Print Driver PS (latest version--only option on Windows 8), but have tried PCL 4 and 5 drivers as well.
When printing from Adobe products, any photo seems to print without the yellow color. Color swatches and vector files print correctly. This issue seems to only apply to raster images--greens print blue, browns print purple, oranges print magenta. I have had HP support out to examine hardware of printer and everything checks out.
I have tried every combination of ICC profile, paper setting imaginable. Have tried printing as CMYK and RGB. Have reset preferences in Adobe software. Color issues are present in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and the images print consistently off in all products (is purple in INDD is also purple in PSD, etc.). I have reset printer to defaults. I have tried removing color management and printing. I have tried printer diagnostics. I have tried having the printer manage color. I have tried having the application manage color. Everything prints consistently wrong.
I've updated video drivers, searched for ICC profiles specific to the printer, recalibrated monitors, no dice. Funny thing is that when you take that same file and send it to another printer, it prints accurately.
Any ideas for troubleshooting are much appreciated. Any solutions would be fantastic.
    Matt

Yeah, tried printing from PDF and image issues persist. I'm not sure what's going on if everything checks out from hardware standpoint. Appreciate your suggestions though.
