Print jobs not going to queue

Situation - New Laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 connected to HP P1102W via existing wireless network. Printer works fine with other computers on network. New Laptop sees the printer and displays the same printer properties and preferences as displayed
on other networked computers.
No Print jobs reach the queue (Outlook, Word, Quicken, etc.).
Laptop is Dell Inspiron 5574 delivered 11/13/2014 and yes I have installed the latest drivers from HP.
Help.  Where do I go from here???

Like everything else, the request for Print Test Page did
not go to the queue
You now need to open a second window that shows the printer's queue at the very moment when you click the
Print Test Page butten. Can you see anything flashing past? Attaching a picture (using snippingtool.exe) would help.
You should also carry out these tests:
Turn off the printer.
Print a test page (as shown above).
Check the folder C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS. Can you see any files in there?
Open the Event Viewer eventvwr.exe and examine the System branch for error messages with the current date stamp.
Temporarily connect the printer to your PC with a USB cable, then print some test sheet.

  • Print Jobs not clearing "Deleting - Printed" message from Print Queue

    The jobs print fine but the message Deleting - Printed doesn't clear from the print queue.
    The two printers having the issue are HP Color LaserJet 3550s using the External HP JetDirect en3700 (J7942A-61033).
    Our Print Server is an HP BL25P running MS Server 2003 Enterprise Edition / SP2.  This issue started about two weeks ago only on these printers.  I downloaded the newest drive (dated 2007 version 61.63.461.41).
    I have deleted and recreated the printers on the Print server and installed the new driver.  Still having the same issue.  To clear the Print Queue we have to restart the Print Spooler Service on the Print Server.- this causes the "Deleting - Printed" jobs to print again which could be days / weeks after they were originally printed.
    We don't want to keep having to restart the Print Spooler.
    Any one having a similar issue and know off a fix.   I have tried everything I have so far found on the Web.
    Thank you.

  • Problem with Acrobat print job being stuck in queue

    I have Acrobat 7.0 Pro and I do a lot of print to Acrobat PDF 7.0 from web pages. When I go to print from Safari and pick the printer Acrobat PDF 7.0,
    the pages will process and bring the PDF up in Acrobat.
    However, if I then want to print another page, I have a problem. Many times, the previous print job has a status of printing in the queue even though it is complete.
    If I delete the job, the next job will complete.
    Something is not completing or deleting completed jobs in my queue.
    Any help would be great.

    Thank you for the response. This has always worked for me in the past. I can print a web page to acrobat, then even print another one and the next file (pdf) is created no problem. In the past, the print job has gone away as soon as the file was created.
    I will try the permissions fix and see what happens.
    Shane
    Hi there,
    With the page that has opened in Acrobat, do you save
    this document before you try to print the next
    document. I am thinking that maybe the spooler is
    expecting you to do something with the file that has
    printed before it releases it from the queue.
    I would also try running a Repair Disk Permissions.
    This is located in Applications > Utilities > Disk
    Utility. This can resolve permissions on files that
    may be stopping the spooler from finishing.

  • Print jobs not finishing

    More often than not, when I try to print a document, the printer does not finish the print job. Usually I can get the document printed, if I print one page at a time!! thanks for your help

    Hello @LMM2,
    I understand that you're experiencing issues when printing from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Officejet 6815 e-All-in-One Printer. I had previously worked with you on February 12th and we resolved this issue. I'm assuming that that the issue returned?
    If the Microsoft  HotFix is no longer allowing you to print multi-page print jobs can I please have you follow the steps below to manually add your printer on the TCP/IP network port, rather than the WSD port as the WSD port tends to be what causing the multi-page print issue.
    Step 1: Clear the Temp Files:
    Open your Start screen by selecting the Windows button on the bottom left of your computer, or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl button
    When the Start screen opens type Run
    Click on Run to launch the Run box
    In the Run box type %temp% and select OK
    When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard.Everything in this folder will now highlight.
    Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a Temp file still be used than you will automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.
    Close the Temp folder once it is emptied
    Right click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling Bin
    Step 2: Download Driver:
    Please click here to download your driver. Once the website opens select the Download button. Once the download is complete, if the install window opens please close it.
    Step 3: Gather IP Address:
    On the front panel of your printer please gather the IP Address.
    On the printer control panel touch Setup
    Touch Reports
    Touch Network Configuration Report
    When the Network Configuration Report opens please locate the IP Address. Keep this IP Address handy as we will need it for the next step.
    Step 4: Add Printer Manually:
    1. Open your Start screen by selecting the Windows icon on the bottom left of your Computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl button
    2. Type Run in the Start Screen. Click Run to launch the Run dialogue box.
    3. In the Run box type %temp% and select OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, locate the 7z... folder. It will not show the same 7z number sequence as the one in the image below.
    5. Click on this folder once to open it. Make sure it show OJ6810 files in it.
    6. Once the correct 7z folder is opened, please copy the file path at the top. Left click once on the right side of the file path bar. Everything will now highlight in the file path. Right click and Copy the file path. Close the window
    7. Reopen your Start screen and type Devices and Printers. Click on Devices and Printers to open it.
    8. Click on Add a Printer at the top. Select Add a Local Printer. (The picture below may look slightly different than your computer as my PC is Windows 7)
    9. Select 'Create a New Port' and select the Standard TCP/IP Port.
    10. Select 'Next' and then type in your printers IP Address that we gathered from the Network Configuration Report. Select Next again.
    11. If you're brought to a list of manufacturers and printers, select the Have Disk button on the bottom right.
    12. In the file path bar right click and paste in the file path we just copied. Select OK.
    13. Select your HP Officejet. Select Next.
    Now that your printer is added in you should be able to test printing. There will be 2 copies of your printer under Devices and Printers. The printer we just added should be your default. The older version of your printer will just stay there. If we delete the older copy of your printer than you will no longer be able to use your Printer Assistant Software or Scan. The older version will not interfere with printing.
    Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Flex Print Job not working with custom component

    Hi All,
    I have to print pages with header, body and footer. So the thought process was to create a custom component fro header, footer and body. Header component is based on Box, Body is a renderer (which will have fix value of items - and will decide the number of possible pages) and footer is again based on Box.
    But when i created a simple Custom component like this for header
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <mx:VBox  xmlns:fx=http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009
      xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
      xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx">
    <fx:Declarations>
    <!-- Place non-visual elements (e.g., services, value objects) here -->
    </fx:Declarations>
    <mx:HBox>      <mx:Label id="testLabel" text="Test Container"/>
    </mx:HBox>
    </mx:VBox>
    Then when i try to add this to FlexPrintJob, and save it as 'xps' to see the print output, i get error message that this file is in use or damaged.
        var myPrintJob:FlexPrintJob = new FlexPrintJob();
      if(!myPrintJob.start()){
          return;
    var header:Header = new Header();
    header.width = myPrintJob.pageWidth;
    header.visible = false;
    FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.addChild(panierPrintHeader);
    myPrintJob.addObject(header);
    myPrintJob.send();
    FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.removeChild(panierPrintHeader);
     But this does not work and i get the above mentioned exception. Now when i not use the custom component and just have a label or HBox or anything on stage before the print functionality is invoked, it works fine. And this too haapens only if you have a mxml component, i tried by creating a new Label component using actionscript and then provide the same to the printJob, which did not work either. I need help on this, else i will have to take print functionality to server side(Java) which has some business implications, the reason why i am spending time on flex for printing.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jigar
    Looks like custom component print is not working fine with flex or i am doing something terribly wrong.
    Looking forward for help.

    Is there nobody in flex community who can help on this....
    Looks like a toothless class that adobe actionscript team has provided, which is not liked across much

  • With a new iMac i can't print wirelessly to my existing HP or Epson printers.  They currently work thru wireless network with my windows desktop.  Both printers get the same error: printing job not accepted.  They appear ro be recognized by the Mac. Help!

    I've looked at many threads and tried suggestions from this site with no success.    Neither printer (HP 1010 and Epson Artisan 810) are Airprint supported.  in checking the printers via the imac in System Preferences the printer 'kind' is listed as Airprint.  I've tried to change with no success.   So yes- I need some experts help and suggestions!

    Hello HappyHips,
    It sounds like you are getting this error message when trying to print to a Wi-Fi printer. I want to recommend the troubleshooting in this article named:
    Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3147
    Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
    Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
    Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
    Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
    Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
    If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
    Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
    If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again.  Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
    Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    My printer was working wirelessly fine the other day, now it won't work. The laptop I am using is a HP and it will give the message that it is validating the printer, so I press Print and then it says "job successful sent" but nothing prints. When I check the print que there are no jobs waiting to be printed. What must I do to get it working again? I need my printer! Help..

    Welcome to the forums kg6192
    I saw your post about your Officejet 8600 no longer printing wireless. I will help you the best I can with this! Please let me know which operating system you are running on your computer.
    In the meantime, try Resetting the Printer and restarting your computer and trying the print again.
    Also try printing from another program to see if prints will work from elsewhere.
    Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help.

  • HELP !  Print jobs getting stuck in Queue

    Hello:
    I am using a HP Deskjet 5550 with two Mac's - an iMac G3 Classic and an iMac G5
    Tiger. I have the printer connected to both Mac's. I am using the USB connection for the G3 and the Serial - USB connection for the G5.
    I have no problem printing from the G3, but the 5 is getting me frustrated!
    The printer prints a few pages and then the rest of the printing gets stuck &
    stopped in the Queue. I am using the 2.7.1 driver from the Tiger install DVD,
    but I have also tried the drivers from the HP download page.
    I have also tried doing a Reset of the printer system. This problem does seem
    to be intermitten but it is far worse most of the time then better.
    I have looked at the HP Support site, but there is nothing I have found for
    this problem. I have also tried using the Printer Sharing on the G5 (Tiger).
    Any input/suggestions/ideads most greatley appreciated.

    Did it ever work?  How did you install the printer?  Did you follow these directions on page 12?  How did it go?
    Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Print job not working on Mac-Intel.

    We're having trouble getting a text field to print on the
    Mac-Intel machines. It prints fine from Windows machines and
    Mac-PowerPC. Any ideas? We just get a black box printed out on
    Mac-Intel but things work fine on the PCs.

    Jao, I tried it but no luck. As John recommended, I also uninstalled Lightroom, deleted the preference file as well as the print templates per your suggestion and reinstalled the latest Lightroom 1.3.1. Still no luck with using the left panel in the Library module.
    One thing I just noticed was that if I open a very small catalog of ~200 images, everything appears to work fine. It looks like a problem with working with my 12,000 image catalog which always worked well before I upgraded my iMac to OS X Leopard. By the way, I've got the preferences setup to always check the integrity of the catalog at the start of every session. Everything is supposedly good.
    Anyhow, thoughts and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I hate the thought of reimporting all my images and losing all my metadata in the process. Thanks.

  • Print Jobs not coming out!!!

    Hi,
    Where I work we have to print items from the APC website for deliveries, every time a new version of java comes out you have to update as the company updates and prints wont come out. The last update 7.51 was realeased and the same day they upgraded to that
    version. I have tried on 7 45 and 7 51 and when printing it says that it has completed but wont come out the printer. The printer is networked. If when sending to the printer you send it to the document server you can then print the document off. But it just
    seems annoying that you cant just select print and let it come out. The printer is a ricoh aficio mpc4501 - and the file says it wants to come out on a5 even though it is a4.
    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Which function of the Java? Did all domain computer come across this issue or just one specific computer?
    If you bypass the APC website, how is the result?
    Try delete the printer and uninstall the corresponding driver, then re-install it for test.
    In addition, let us know the exact error message if there is.

  • Print Job remains in queue even though it prints OK?

    Hello All,
    I am trying to help a friend of mine setup wireless printing from her Macbook. Unfortunately I don’t know very much about Macs and OSX but I am a quick learner
    The setup:
    Virgin Media Cable Modem -> connected (RJ45) to a Wireless Linksys Cable Modem -> connected (RJ45) to a Belkin USB Hub.
    From the USB hub I have two printers connected:
    1 x HP Deskjet
    1 x Samsung ML-2240 Laserjet
    Both these printers install to the Macbook perfectly as default USB devices (wirelessly) via the USB Hub. They also appear correctly in the Belkin USB Hub software console.
    The HP printer works perfectly every time it is used, no issues whatsoever. The Samsung printer prints ok the first time but the print jobs do not disappear from the print queue on the Macbook, the print job doesn’t appear to complete even though it has actually printed without any issue.
    The problem this causes is that after the first print job has been printed it is not possible to print again. Even if I delete the print job from the queue manually I cannot still not print a second time. The only way I can get the printer to print again is to unplug and then plug back in the USB cable that is connected to the USB Hub. When I unplug the cable the print job disappears from the queue on the Macbook. I can then reconnect the USB cable and connect to the printer and it will print again.
    I have made sure that I have the latest firmware on the Macbook which is running 10.5.* OSX. I have also installed the latest Firmware and Drivers on the Samsung Printer and the USB Hub.
    Is there a different way to setup the print queue that you think may help? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I spent 5 hours on this yesterday and it still isn’t working
    Thanks
    M

    It should bring up the Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) 1.3.11 manual if you're running 10.5.8 (hint; 10.5 is meaningless). Since it doesn't, I suggest doing an Archive & Install installation, followed by running Software Update.

  • HP 6110 All-in-one no longer prints...print jobs sit in queue

    My printer worked fine last week and now I went to print somethign and it just sits in queue.  I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, running the HP Diagnostic (which says everything seems fine) but nothing prints.   Any ideas on how to get this working again?  I also tried to print on my other laptop and that doesn't work either - so it's not an issue with this particular computer.

    Printing a Configuration Report.Hi JoyD,
    Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
    I understand the print job stays in the queue and won't print for hours later.
    I will be happy to help you.
    I would power cycle everything.
    Turn the printer and computer off.
    Disconnect the power cable on the router for 10 seconds, then reconnect the power cable again.
    Turn the computer on, then the printer.
    Try printing again.
    I would setup a static IP for the printer to see if this will resolve the issue.

    Print a configuration page from the printer for this information needed. Select Method one.

  • Print jobs keep holding in print queue

    Just installed a new HP6600 enabled with wi-fi.  First print test was perfect. Subsequent print jobs keep going to "Hold" in queue. How do I prevent print jobs going to "HOLD".
    It prevents another print job from starting unless I manually deleted the job from the queue.

    Thanks Jamieson.  I really appreciate your assistance.  I uninstalled the printer software per suggestion #1 and then re-entered my printer and all seems to be working fine now.

  • Print jobs won't automatically drop from the print queue after printing

    I just bought an Envy 7640.  When printing multiple documents, the first print job hangs in the queue after it prints, which prevents subsequent jobs from printing.  The first job continues to show a status of Printing after it prints the job.  I have to manually go into the queue and cancel the finished job before the next job in the queue will print. Having to clear the queue manually each time a print job finishes is not an acceptable fix to the problem.  How can I get the printer to automatically delete the print job after it prints like it's supposed to do?

    Thank you for your reply.  The steps that you sent are for print jobs that you cannot delete from the queue.  I also found those instructions earlier, however, it doesn't apply to the problem I'm having with my printer. I don't have a problem deleting print jobs from the queue.  As my previous post stated, when I print multiple documents, the first document prints but it stays in the queue with a status of Printing.  Because it stays in the queue with the Printing status, it prevents the second and subsequent documents from printing. My problem is that I have to go to the queue after every single job prints and delete it from the queue to allow the next document to print.  It's ridiculous to have to delete every job from the queue after it prints.  The printer should automatically delete the job after it prints it, and then print the next job in the queue. How can I make the printer delete a job automatically after it prints it??  Can you please give me a resolution to this problem? Thank you.
