Print Layout cause a crash on Invoice

Hello experts
After upgrading to 8.81 , I experience a crash on all clients, all stations,
This happens when i try to produce al doc, print or preview a new/old A/R INVOICE.
The crash state: Sap buisness one must close due to inefficient memory. then i press OK and everything closes.
It happens on a specific 8 layouts that all contain a common denominator which they are all in foreign currency.
When i change the layot to System, the problem disappears.
My Local currency Layots are all working flawlessly also.
I have tryed to take the System layot for the foreign currency and edit it again and save it, but problem still there.
Please Help me figure this issue out
Thanks
Dror
Israel

Let's say I'm going back to an INVOICE i preduced a week ago.
Now, I want to print it, so i choose a Layout before print.. on the Pencil icon.
If i choose any of the Foriegn layouts - SBO crashes.
if i choose A/R INVOICE (SYSTEM) whice comes originally with SBO. the document print out or can be previewed with no problems.
I have to assume there are some fields that are uniqe to the foriegn layouts which got defected after the upgrade.

  • Incoming Excise Invoice - Print Layout Design

    Dear all,
How to prepare the Incoming Excise Invoice Print Layout Design.
            That Excise is Dealers Invoice.
For Ex: 'X' is the one material , this has defined in material master as Inventory , Purchase and Sales item and its Excisable material.
Ths 'X' material purchase from the vendor and selling to the customer.
At the time sales for incoming excise invoice, in that invoice should include the what is purchases of that material and what is sales?
This information how to bring the Print Layout Design at Incoming Excise Invoice.
             Please guide to me

At first you have to check the Excisable in Item master for doing excise transactions.
Incoming Excise Invoice can be generated after doing Goods Receipt Transactions.
From Copy to Option Goto >> Incoming Excise Invoice >> the invoice form will be opened
From here you can select the PLD icon and design the layout you need.

  • Print Layout Designer \Custom Reports

    Hello All,
Is there a way to set a custom report as default in the Print Layout Designer for A/R Invoice in SAP B1 ?
Thank you and Best wishes and Happiness in the New Year 2009.
    Ben

    Hello All,
Thank you for your answer but I would like to be more exact in my question  because I already know how to set a  Print Layout as default in a screen of SAP B1 like A/R Invoice by the way that Parlati has mentioned :
    1. Open a blank AR Invoice (e.g. service or item type)
    2. Click on Menu >> Tools >> Print Layout Designer... or pen icon on toolbar
    3. With The Document Type selected - choose template and click on Set as Default
But I usually use the Query Manager Tool of SAP B1 to create new queries and reports and I use the Print Layout Designer to setup the layout of these reports. These reports are printed normally via the print preview Icon of the toolbar. But now I would like to know how can I set one of these Reports as default in A/R Invoice screen of SAP. Because it's a one of my customized Invoices.
Is there a way to do this?
    Thank you.
    Ben.

  • Edit Print Layout Crashing SAP 2007

    Good Day,
I have a client that when trying to edit a layout it is causing SAP to crash.
It is the Goods Receipt PO layout, he opens the GRPO, clicks the pencil, then when trying to edit the layout, SAP just crashes with no error messages and no log files.
All other layouts are able to open and be edited.
Its just this specific layout that it is happening on, it is not a system print layout.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Dario

    The explanation would be:
The problem could be due to many reasons. For example:
    - If they selected a table by using Alt+Click in old PLD, that is not supported by SAP.
    - Some other hidden problems may not be found from old version but it can be caught in new version etc.

  • AR Invoice Print Layout

The client I am busy at has a certain requirement which I tought I got right on their print layout.
They work with both the AR Inv and the AR Down Payment Inv.
The requirement is as follows. If a client has done any down payments, they want his downpayment details to show in the final AR inv. This part i got right, but this only works if the AR down payment inv was done as an item invoice. it it was done as a service down payment inv, they can apply it to the final AR invoice, but I cannot seem to get the details to show on the print layout. Which fields must i use?
    Please help.

    Hi Satish,
I have a similar problem and I would like to know more about the solution you proposed, that is to say, the use of the transaction notification to update a UDF.
I only know how to use them to check data and block a transaction and I that would be a great help for me to get to know it.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Invoice Print Layout

    Hello,
I would like to have our customer order number on our print layout.
Once I copy the Database field from the order layout to the invoice layout it doesn't work properly.
Does someone has any experience with this how I can enable this on my invoice.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    With kind regards,
    Jason Soentpiet

    Hi
What do you mean by copy database field ?
    Let's first do:
1.Where in this field you are storing data?
-In common practice ,it is stored at Bp reference no .
If it is in sales order screen, then it is copied to Invoice .
    Now in PLD ,
You have to go to use table OINV  and find BP reference no .
    to do that :
Click on Database field from tool bar
On your left hand corner -properties - select table oINv  and find Bp reference no .
Your problem will be solved .
    Thank you

  • Print Layout Designer - inconsistent output

    Hi,
We have received consistent compaint from our client that the output of Print Layout Designer are inconsistent.
Eg: The same PLD template is used for An invoice print out from 2 different workstation.  However, workstation A display the format properly, workstation B will have missing lines between boxes or the alignment is not displayed properly.
We have also recently encountered the problem that our client export the invoice to Acrobat and then print it.  However, it displays properly for workstation with  Acrobat version 8, 9, but missing lines for version 7.
Another scenario could be the form is displayed properly on the screen, but the physical print out to a printer is not consistent.
We really appreciate some share of thoughts here.  Is switching to other report writer, eg: Crystal Report, the only option?
Edited by: Shwu Hua Gan on Aug 10, 2008 2:57 AM

    Gordon,
    Thanks for replying.
This is what happen to our client.
The font size of the customised PLD SAP Invoice is size 5.  In order to preview the layout, they have to preview in PDF, once they are happy with the details and then print.
In some workstations, there are Adobe Reader version 8 or 9.  In a couple of workstations, there are Adobe Acrobat version 9.
Let's say, there are 2 fields with the following properties:
    Field A, Left = 0, Width = 10.
    Field B, Left = 10, Width = 10.
Adobe Acrobat version 9 display the border of the field properly.  However, those with Adobe Reader 8 / 9 will see gaps between fields.
    If we change them as follows the field the gap;
    Field A, Left = 0, Width = 10.
    Field B, Left = 9, Width = 11,
Then those with Adobe Acrobat version 9 is missing the border for because Field A overlaps with Field B.  But Adobe Reader 8/9 will print fine.  It also works fine if user click 'Print Preview' as normal and then click 'Print'
Does anyone knows whether this inconsistencies is caused by
    - printer drivers; or
    - Adobe; or
    - SAP Business One.

How can I fix this. This is coming from the System template and we havent change anything.
    Could you please help me.
    Thanks
    Sanjaya

    Hi
I solved the problem. But the issue was when i ran the dunning wizard the layouts messed up. For example if I had a dunning letter with 3 lines (overdue documents). The last line would copy itself 4-6 times (it would show the last document 4-6times so the total lines in the dunning letter would be 7-9 lines). But I solve the issue. Somehow the attention person (which I got from the contact persons (ocrp) and not from the document contact person (oinv) ) did the issue. When i switch it to the oinv the issue was gone.

  • Default Query Print Layout problem

    Hello:
        I have a query below SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription], sum(T0.[Quantity]) as 'Quantity' FROM INV1 T0 WHERE month(T0.[DocDate]) =month([%0]) AND  year(T0.[DocDate]) = year([%0]) and T0.[ItemCode] IS NOT NULL GROUP BY T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription] ORDER By T0.[ItemCode].
Which basically output monthly inventory invoiced qty. It works fine. However when I try ti link to the default system print layout and try to print. The column 'quantity' become very small and cut off most of the number. How do I make it bigger? I have been trying to modify it for quiet a while now. Nothing seems to work. I think it's length is preset base on the column lenth in the table! If that's the case how do I make it wider?
Also the default layout for user query are pretty weired. I think it's dynamically allocating spaces depends on number of column. But what happens when you do functions such as sum, avg..etc. There is no present length. So they just disregard it?
Any help will be appreciated.. Thank You
    Sincerely Yours
    Bo Peng

    Hi Bo,
I am asuming that u are not yet familiar with how to work with PLD (Print Layout Designer). I would suggest that u see some tutorials from the following link and then try to change that default layout according to ur own requirements

  • Query Print Layout / Query Manager

Hopefully some one here can help me out ...
I have created a handful of Query Print Layouts.  How or is there a way when I make a change to the underlying query, to reassociate it with the report?  Now when I change the query,  I have to create a new report.  I am currently on SAP B1 2007 PL11.  When I upgraded from PL06 to PL11,  the queries handle prompted dates differently, causing me to have to make a simple syntax change to my query which does not change the data being passed to the report.
    Thanks in advance
    Dana

    Dana,
This is the short-coming of the Query PLD.  Once you change the Query, you will need to redo the template all over again.
Therefore, it is a good practise to always finalize the query and then design the layout.
Re-assigning the revised query to QPLD is not possible

  • Query Print Layout

    Hi
I am designing Print Layout for Query Based report in that i have a parameter for generating report which is date range parameter
Now When we designed PLD for Query based report we are getting display of parameter as
    A/R Invoice Posting Date  xx/yy/zz
A/R Invoice Posting Date pp/qq/rr             note (this is just ex )
now i am ok with display of A/R Invoice now can we adjust in PLD so that we can Display
A/R Invoice From  Posting Date  xx/yy/zz
A/R Invoice To      Posting Date pp/qq/rr
can we add those fields of from date and too posting date

    Hi,
It not possible to edit yr parameter, when u r passing a value...
SAP don't support that editable view.
    else
create UDT > emp and UDF > dt (date to) give description like "From Posting Date"
    just bit code
    declare @dt datetime
    declare @df datetime
    set @dt= (select @emp.U_dt  from @emp  where U_dt=[%0])
    set @df= (select @emp.U_dt  from @emp  where U_dt=[%1])
pass @dt n @df value in SAP query
    That only d way

  • Query Print Layout - Incoming Payment

    Hi All,
I have done the query print layout for incoming payment. but it cannot show the correct A/R invoice: document number. When I only make the payment for 1 invoice it seems to be correct, but when I choose 2 invoices to be paid, then the A/R invoice: document number for the second row is wrong ( if follows the first row).
    Below is the query:
    SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.DocCur, T0.DocTotal,
    T0.DocTotalFC, T1.DocNum, T1.CardCode, T1.CardName,
    T1.DocDate, T1.Comments,T1.TrsfrRef as 'Cheque No',
    T2.BankCode' 'T2.AcctNum as 'Bank Code' , T0.Address , T3.Phone1 , T3.CntctPrsn , T0.PaidToDate, T0.PaidFc , T4.AppliedSys , T4.AppliedFc
    FROM [dbo].[OINV]  T0 INNER JOIN ORCT T1
    ON T0.ReceiptNum = T1.DocEntry LEFT JOIN RCT1 T2
    ON T1.DocNum = T2.DocNum LEFT JOIN RCT2 T4
    ON T4.DocNum = T2.DocNum LEFT JOIN OCRD T3
    ON T1.CardCode = T3.CardCode
    WHERE T1.DocNum = [%0]
    ORDER BY T1.DocNum
the fields that i want to display in repetitive area are: A/R invoice: Document date , A/R invoice: document number, Amount that they have paid ( partial payment / full payment) i used this database: Incoming payment - a/r invoice: paid, outstanding amount i used formula ( total document - paid to date), and document currency
Thank you! hope you can help.
    Pauline

    Pauline,
I've tested your query in B1 2007A SP00 PL30 and works fine. I even created PLD for the query and I can see 2 invoice paid by one incoming payment.

  • Get credit memos to print on Dunning Level - All Print layout

    Greetings,
I am wondering why credit memos do not show on the dunning level - all print layout.  If I click on the edit icon it lists credit memos within here and it looks like they should print, yet when I run the wizard and I have a customer with a credit memo on their account it does not show on the statement printout.  Any ideas?
The only clue is on the dunning recommendation report all outstanding invoices get flagged to dunning level 1 whereas the credit memo stays at level 0.
Thanks for any help you can give.
    Aaron

The reason behind - might be an outstanding functions need to be developed later or a bug.  Only if the link is there, you may print them out.  This is a fixed PLD that you don't have any controls.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Print Layout Designer - Different Variable No for Different Currencies

    Hi Experts,
I will need your support once again.I just noticed that the Withholding tax field on the Invoice print layout displays only when the transaction is in Local currency, while trying to trouble shoot this issue, I discovered that the Variable Number for the withholding Tax field for transactions in Local currency differ from that of USD transactions.
I need this field to display irrespective of the currency, how can I achieve this? Can I get a comon variable number for that field ?
Any info will be highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Chike,
The answer is no.  You can not change them because they hold different values. If you want to use one PLD to print both LC and FC, you have to use many formula fields to do so.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
