Print layout not matching final print

Looking for help.
Epson 3880.
Lightroom 4.
Moutain Lion.
All current.
I am trying to print on 5x7 paper. I set the page setup to 5x7. I have the margins set to .2" on each side. The layout image inside Lr looks exactly how I want it to.
Then I print. I end up with a .125" margin on the left and top, and a .625" margin on the right and bottom.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hi ,
We really apologize for all the inconvenience which has caused you.
Firstly I would like you to check if the printer has got the most latest drivers installed or not.
If not go ahead and install the same.
Secondly while printing make sure you dont have centre the image and zoom to fit are not wrongly selected.
Also, you can try creating custome paper size and check with the same
In the meanwhile if these steps doesnt resolve your issues you can contact Adobe support by following the link below:

  • Acrobat ignores my PowerPoint Print Layout Notes Pages view and gives me regular slides PDF.

    I have written a presentation in PowerPoint in the usual PowerPoint slide view.  Now I want to print the presentation as a manual or booklet.
    For this I go to the Print File Print page.
    I select Print Layout > Notes Pages and click Print.
    Acrobat creates a PDF only of the Full Page Slides. It ignores my change of print layout before creating the PDF.
    I have tried printing to file (PostScript  *prn). The prn is the slides view.
    I could maybe create an image of every slide, and try pdfing it that way? But the file is 100 (slides) long.  Anyone see an easier way of doing this?
    Thanks in advance for any input,

    Based on your description, I assume you are running on a Windows system with both Office and Acrobat installed.
    There are three ways of producing PDF from PowerPoint in this situation.
    The first method is to use the Save as Adobe PDF / PDFMaker solution that doesn't involve printing at all. It produces the highest quality PDF of all three methods, but the options for this allow the notes only to come out as PDF annotations in a separate,hide-able layer, not as the full Notes Pages format, regardless of the current settings for displaying the PowerPoint file on screen. You can see the annotations in comments pane in the comments tool. This isn't what you want.
    The second method is to use the Microsoft Save as function and specify PDF instead of a .PPT or .PPTX file. If you press Options, one of the options is to publish the Notes Pages instead of just the Slides. That will give you what you want, but Microsoft's generated PDF is somewhat wonky, often generating invalid PDF with improper font references and other problems too numerous to get into here.
    The third method is to print to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance. The secret here is that under Settings, instead of selecting the default Print All Slides, you need to select Notes Pages. In other words, the print function ignores the view you currently have on the screen. The only problem with this approach is that the resultant PDF file is not nearly as high a quality as the PDF produced by Save as Adobe PDF, but it should probably be sufficient for your needs.
    That having been said, I will submit a request internally to “beef up” our Save as Adobe PDF to provide an option for the Notes Pages as an alternative to putting out the notes as annotations.
    Please advise if this solves your issue.

    I have protected pdf files. You can not copy things, but it is allowed to print. In the menu of the pdf it says you are allowed to print. I already printed lots of times the document. But today there is an error "The printer is not admittet to print these pdf". Its new. Theres no problem with the printer. I can print word documents, internet pages etc. But today I can not print anymore my pdf document, although printing is allowed and only copying is forbidden.
    How to solve the problem with the pdf?
    Thank you.

    Hi Hans,
    There seems to be other restrictions in the document that's not allowing it to print.
    Would it be possible to share the document with me so that I can have a look?

  • Colors in print preview not matching colors in soft proofing

    Hi There,
    Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
    I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. Please see attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors.
    I would appreciate if anybody could point me in the right direction in what is causing this difference. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    D.

    Here are some addtional details:
    PS 13.1.2
    Mac OS X 10.8.4
    12 GB Ram
    60 GB free disk space
    I printed the same photo from two other computers (MacBook and iMac) with different PS versions (CS4 and CS5). The prints turned out identical to the first one which matches the print preview color rendition on my main computer (MacPro) running CS6. Strangely the colors in print preview of CS5 on the iMac renders the colors identical to the soft proofing colors.

  • Monitor and printer colours not matching!

    Hi, when I print, the colours do not match my monitor! Using CS6.

    There's no easy answers here, you have to read up on color mangementnt, calibration and all that stuff. Start by reseting any color tweaks to factory defaults on your monitor and printer. Beyond that it's a topic peopel write books about and nobody can answer this in two simple sentences. Scour the print-centric forums for Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign for some posts from the past that offer basic guidance and research the topic on a more generic level with a web search.

  • Officejet Pro 8625 Photo print colors not matching monitor!

    I just purchased this Officejet Pro 8625 yesterday and while I love many of it's features, I noticed that when printing photos the prints come out very dark and even a bit 'muddy" ie they not only do not match what I see on my Samsung monitor, but they are not really even close. I have used an HP officejet 7310xi for many years...and photos printed from that have been nearly always true to the original photo files/monitor appearance.
    I have already run all the printing tests, and they all actually look fine other than Test #1 from the Print Diagnostic page...so calibrated the linefeed. The print heads are clean, etc. I spent over an hour on the phone with tech support early this morning and no resolution...so I am at a loss here as to why the color is so off. The tech told me that the ink cartridges that come with the printer might be the issue, but I don't understand why that would be the case if it's authentic HP ink.
    I am using good glossy photo paper and have tried several settings, and printing from both within Photoshop Elements 11 with the RGB color settings, and from PSP 9, as well as without going through any editing program. Nothing has helped.
    Before I give up and return this printer (because while I need it for faxing and other functions, I also need photo prints that at least come close to what my monitor shows), I'm hoping someone here might have some ideas.
    The tech and I did download the most recent drivers/software from the HP website as the software on the included cd was actually not the most recent.
    Thank you!

    My suggestion about using the onboard USB is to rule out both the USB & WiFi ports.
    If printing from the 8625 USB port produces the same results then you may have a defective printer.
    Have you also tried printing a sample image that is not yours? (using the O/S image program)

  • How do I connect a Lexmark x6570 printer to my iMac wirelessly?  The basic user guides are not helping me and the add printer is not finding my printer...

    How do you connect a lexmark x6570 printer to an iMac wirelessly?  The basic user manuals are not helpful as the printer is not showing up when using the add printer function.  I my printer is working fine wirelessly with my windows laptop so it appears to be functioning fine.  This is my first time using an Apple at home...
    Thank you.

    I am using a Mac with this router. Any ideas how I can set it up to print wireless. Im not a tech person so this gets confusing for me sometimes.
    Thanks!

  • Type 4 printer driver shows color is available when printer is not a color printer

    I am working on migrating to a new Windows Server 2012 print server.  I am trying to use the new version 4 printer drivers whenever possible.  I have noticed an interesting thing.  Here is an example.  When I added a new printer, an HP
    LaserJet P3005 black and white printer using the HP LaserJet P3004/P3005 PCL6 Class Driver, under "features" it reports Color as "Yes."  Now the printer is not color and I have noticed this on all of the other class 4 drivers for black
    and white printers.  Am I missing something or is this supposed to be this way?  The printers do print fine, I just wanted to know why this is showing up like this.

    Really a question for HP since it is their software.
    BUT:  A class driver can be used for a wide range of devices.  If the core class driver HP added for the P3005 is also used by devices that support color then the driver itself DOES support color even when the device does not.   There
    are a couple ways HP could code around this.  I do see that HP's PS version of the P3005 does not have a color option in Printing Defaults.
    I have seen this type of issue from other vendors on previous operating systems, it's not just HP nor anything specific to class drivers although a class driver would expose this when the software to constrain the feature has not been added by the vendor.

  • HP Photosmart 5514 e-All-in-One Printer - B111h not responding to print requests on Windows 8

    Hello there,
    Recently, I've been having these problems where the Printer is not responding for my requests to print on my HP Windows 8 Laptop for a PDF File. I had a message where it said that "Printer is in error state" but didn't get that message after I tried printing again. Now my printer is not responding to any print requests though the touch screen still works and is saying that the wireless is still working. If anyone could help me that would be great!
    Thank you for your time.

    I see that you are having a problem printing from Windows 8.
    See if you can print a self-test page or Printer status report from the printer itself. This will test the hardware functionality for the printer. If it does print, then it's a connection issue. If it does not print out, then we will need to try to deal with the hardware problems of the printer.
    Run the print and scan doctor and check the results.

  • Hp photosmart plus printer will not copy or print in black ink

    HP Photo Smart Plus will not print black.  I can get other colors to print. I have used print Doctor to diagnose and
    could not find a problem. I did get printer to print black and all colors on test page. When printing  I do not get a error message other than a red x.  I have also tried a different ink cartidge  with no results.

    Hi Dee54321,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I see you are not able to print in black ink on your HP Photosmart Plus B210a.
    I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
    Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
    If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. I highly recommend you call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • Java print DocAttributes not setting to printer.

    Hi,
    I have written below sample program to print document in landscape mode. But it is not setting the attributes to printer. Please verify the code and help me on this.
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.print.*;
    import javax.print.attribute.*;

             String abc = "<html><body>sfsdafsdfsafds</body></html>";
             InputStream bs = new ByteArrayInputStream(abc.getBytes());
             DocFlavor flavor = DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.AUTOSENSE;

             DocAttributeSet das = new HashDocAttributeSet();

                       das.add(OrientationRequested.LANDSCAPE);
                        if (pservices.length > 0) {

                        DocPrintJob pj = pservices[0].createPrintJob();
              try {
              Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(bs, flavor, null);
              pj.print(doc, aset1);

              System.err.println(e);
              } catch(Exception ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
    }Thanks,

    updating the drivers did not help at all. It cleared out the print queue, but adding another item did not print it off. I rechecked the printer itself and redid the wifi settings and password. All appears to be alive and kicking and seeing each other.
    Any suggestions?

  • Gnome 3 reports a network printer as "not connected",but prints fine

    Hi,
    I got the same problem mentioned here as "Other issue": https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=119248
    When I print on my network printer it always says "printer is not connected" at first (popup in gnome shell) but then it prints fine.
    I think it has something to do with CUPS or some settings of the network card (inside the Kyocera FS-1020D) -> I have disabled the whole apple things like Bonjour etcpp.
    In the mentioned thread there are several perople reporting this issue - did anyone solve it?

    bones wrote:No such warning when I logged into other desktop environments.
    That's intresting .. maybe it is a gnome bug? I am also using Gnome 3.2.

  • The printer that comes up when i hit print is not my default printer

    I can print from my documents or desktop but when I open firefox and try to print it opens a print window with a fax as my printer. I can hit the down arrow and see my printer but it will not allow me to select it. My default is the correct printer

    I would suggest to the Firefox team that the next build should recognize the system's default printer. Scrap this "last used" nonsense.
    I used an HP 832C until it quit functioning properly, and bought a new Brother laser printer. I did not remove the 832C from my system, for I thought I might be able to get it repaired and back on line. It is a color printer, I have lots of ink for it, the Brother is black-and-white.
    As with the OP, I was printing successfully from everywhere else outside of Firefox, the Brother was doing its job.
    I bought something online, and had the option to "Print this page" and have a printed copy of my transaction. Nothing.
    Windows 7 Control Panel's Devices and Printers, and there were no jobs awaiting printing in the Brother. So I looked at the disconnected HP 832C. There sat two jobs in the print queue.
    There was no option to visit the File menu from the "Print this page pop-up to where I could go down and select my printer. Fortunately, Walmart sent me an email that I could print after selecting the proper printer.
    I am supposed to believe that after I have set the system default printer, all my '''good''' software is going to honor that choice.
    My solution was to uninstall the HP printer, which I did not want to do. Perhaps had I known that Firefox was now going to respect my Brother, having used it once, removal of the HP was unnecessary.
    So once again. I say scrap this “last used” nonsense and use whatever the system has been set to (unless there is an option to override the default that I can opt in to).
    My two cents' worth.

    I have installed adobe reader XI.. In the printing options my new printer is not shown.. all the old printers are available.. i can print in MS office, paint etc.. but the printer is not seen in Adobe Reader XI

    No way for us to know for sure (without similar product/issues) but the
    HP Support site suggests that with the current Mavericks OS X 10.9.x
    their drivers should be available through Apple Software Updates:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mac-Printing-and-Scanning/HP-Product-Support-using- Apple-Software-Updates-for-new-OS-X/td-p/3086229
    However that may be limited to certain models of printers or scanners that
    already had been known to be working under OS X as of that date in a
    prior OS X (such as 10.8.5, 10.7.5, 10.6.8, etc) with earlier product support.

    PS: edit to add... there was a Gutenprint driver reference for T65 Printer here:
