Print Mail PDF Email client

I just recently installed the new Office MAC 2008 (my problems seems to happen with any application) and decided to use the new Entourage as my default email client. When I'm in any application and go to Print>mail PDF a file my non-default (originally)email client keeps activating. How do I change my default email client to work when I Print>Mail PDF from within an application. Thanks Chris

The other way to configure this is to select the "Edit Menu..." item in the print dialog's PDF button/menu. A utility window will appear. You can add new items by hitting the plus button in the lower left of that window. His the plus button and then pick Entourage. This will add the alias to the PDF Services folder for you.

  • Print Mail PDF Attachments Automatically

    Hello All,
I have an eFax account that emails me a PDF attachment when I get a fax...
Is there any way that anyone can think of that I can open the PDF attachments and print them automatically...??
For billing purposes, I open and print them all anyway, so maybe some automation will make my day a little easier...
    Thanks for the input...

  • Thunderbird doesn't work as default email client when sharing pdf attachments. Works fine if Mail is the default client

With Tbird set as the default email client, whenever I try to email the pdf, a message pops up that the default client can't handle sending the attachment. It works all the time if the native Mac Mail software is the default client..
This forces me to save the pdf file, go to Tbird to send a message and then have to find the file in the folder structure to add as an attachment.

My PDF software is Adobe Acrobat. So what is wrong with your Thunderbird software I must ask!

  • How can I create a button to open email client and allow the user to e-mail pdf to a friend?

I need to find a way to let our members share our marketing pdf files with their friends as an email attachment. I can only seem to find a way to send a mailto to a specific address. I am thinking that the form is the only way to create that possibility, but would be open to any help even if not by a form.

Thanks you but I want the end user to be able to open my pdf file from my website and email it as an attachment to their family and friends. ( no specific email address assigned) I tried adding a empty mailto tag and it opens the email client, but no attachment. I don't think I am making my question understandable and maybe it is not possible to do this in Acrobat.

  • PDF Email Creation for Clients

Hi, I would like to create a PDF email form that I can then hand over to a client that only has the free acrobat reader. If I create a form with his email address, will he be able to view, save and print the completed/submitted forms?
I seem to be going back and forth on whether or not to scrap this idea and build him an HTML form on my website and then just add a PDF download link for the people that want to print and snail-mail.

I guess I just answered my own question. My solution will be to Enable Usage Rights and delete the "submit by email" button. Then my client will instruct them to save the file and return it in a reply email.

  • Mailing .pdf attachments to Presto Printer doesn't work with Firefox but does with IE, how can I fix this?

Since upgrading to 4.0.1 the email address [email protected] indicates that there is something wrong with any attachment in .pdf format. This happens when I send mail from my yahoo or aol mail accounts when using Mozilla. It does not occur if I'm using those mail accounts and Internet Explorer.
[email protected] lets you see what an email will look like when printed on a subscriber's Presto printer, which is a printer that is used without a computer, it periodically calls a toll-free number and looks for mail sent to that address. I believe anyone can send mail to [email protected] and will receive a reply back, so you could test tweeks to Mozilla that would resolve the problem. This issue started in September or October of 2010, was resolved by Presto at that time, but has not been resolved with the 4.0.1 version.

MS offers some advanced features only for its own IE browser and not for other browsers like Firefox.

  • Mail PDF / MIME:  Can't read PDF on IPHONE but works in Mac Mail Client...

OK. This is killing me. My office gets all of our inbound faxes through MYFAX.com as a PDF attachment to an e-mail.
They all arrive to my desktop mac mail with no problem. They have a regulat .pdf after the file name and I can view them with no problem. The same e-mail on my IPhone however shows the attachment as a MIME, so it can not be opened on the phone.
NO the e-mail is not password protected and NO it is not encrypted. The mac mail see's it just fine. The file name states .pdf and the icon shows a pdf.
In testing I dragged this attachment to my desktop and then back into a new email and sent it to myself. After doing that I can read it. Very weird. Any help would be great.

With one of these received messages open with the Mail.app on your Mac, at the menu bar go to View > Message and select Long Headers.
Copy and paste here what is available in the *Content Type* line for this message.
MIME is the industry standard used by email clients to encode/decode message attachments and when there is an attachment file type not recognized properly by the receiving email client for whatever reason, MIME attachment is shown instead. The Content Type included/provided with the long message headers for the received message with the Mail.app may provide a clue.

  • Why does email hypertext in PDF open web browser window in addition to email client?

Using FrameMaker 10, I created the following hypertext: message URL mailto:[email protected] I then printed to PDF. When I click the link in the PDF it opens an email client message window (what I want) but also opens a web browser window with mailto:[email protected] in the address bar (what I don't want). Why would it open both? I don't know if this is a Frame issue (more likely), an Acrobat issue (less likely), or a browser issue (not likely). I hope I'm just missing something easy here.

Should have given the following info earlier...running Win 7 64-bit with Outlook 2010 and Acrobat X Pro. That being said the path to verify "mailto" is different but it is set up fine. Same with Acrobat X Pro...settings are fine.
Also, in reply to Harry28586 this is happening with Firefox, not IE (I should have mentioned that as well).
I've found plenty of threads searching online regarding issues with email links in Acrobat on Win 7 machines with Outlook...many suggest editing the registry. I have no problem doing that but this is a work laptop and we have a don't-fix-it-yourself policy. So I'll keep looking. Thanks for all the suggestions.

  • Mail and email attachement : .pdf - .pdfpdf or .doc - .docc

    Hello,
I have been using Mail since I bought my Mac but I have a recurrent problem.
When I send a Mail with email attachement, it duplicates the extension. For instance : .doc become .docc, or .pdf become .pdfpdf.
I tried some manipulations such as : Check or not : "Mask File Extension" in "File Information", and :"Send email attachement Windows compatible" in Mail : the results are the same.
The last straw ? When I try with Gmail or Orange in Safari, the attachements work well and my contacts can read them.
    I don't understand.
    I will appreciate any answer.
    Thanks
    (Sorry for my English )

Are you sure it is Mail sending them wrong and not their email client mangling them when they arrive?
It is apparently Mail's fault. It has to do with sending attachments with accented characters. While this a poor workaround for you, don't use accented characters in attachment names until Apple fixes it. Or add a message to your email to save the attachment and fix the extension. If they do that, it will open just fine.

  • What is the shortcut to "print" and then email the PDF

I email pages that I have "printed" out all the time.
But it takes three steps to do this
    1. Command P to "print" the page
    2. Then move the mouse to the PDF button on the bottom left
    3. Then scroll down to the "Mail PDF" option
Would it not be wonderful to be able to do this in a single click.
    Please can someone help.
    Thank you

  • Print Option Mail PDF

Selecting the Mail PDF option in Print brings up the attachment 'Loading ...... (..kb). If this is sent the recepient can't open the file. Why does Mail read 'Loading the file?' and what can be done to correct.
If the file is saved as a PDF file and then attached to a Mail email there are no problems.

    No, no Adobe Reader here.
I did find an interesting workaround:
Make an alias to the Mail application
Put the alias in ~/Library/PDF Services
    Give it a catchy name
It then shows up in the print dialog's PDF menu (along with the "Mail PDF" workflow) and performs essentially the same function, but without the annoying fail. A side effect (a bonus to me, for arcane reasons) is that the mail message defaults to plain text -- the standard workflow creates a rich text document.

  • Why can I not print a PDF from an email?

Why can I not print a PDF from an email any longer?

Can you explain in better detail?
Is it when you open the file attachment and attempt to Print?
Is it right-mouse clicking and attempting to Print?
Is it when you print the email itself and expect the attachment to Print?

  • Print to pdf and then email...

I frequently print a document to pdf and then email it as an attachment.  The print dialog box allows me to save as pdf or email as pdf.  I would like a print plugin that does both actions - allows me to name and save the pdf to a specified location and then adds it as an attachment to a new email.  Any ideas?

Create a Print Plug in Automator, such as the below, which does exactly as you want. When you set it up, make sure you click the Options that I clicked and this will allow you to name the PDF, and save it wherever you want to.
I named my Print Plugin "PDF File & Email"
