I have a very big problem
I have a project that the engine of this project is HP Laser ( 2055 )
As you know :
In the laser jet we have 2 input ( tray 1 ( manual )   & tray 2 ( in caste ))
I have 10 page on one time for print ( 10 page printing continually ( a letter in 10 page ))

But I want page no. 1 printing from tray 1
Page 2,3 printing from tray 2
Page   4,5 printing from tray 1
Page 6 printing from tray 2
Page 7,8,9   printing from page 1
And page 10 printing from tray 2
10 page is 1 document and printing should be in one time

I would like inform you that
1      -     There are a software that I can do this program
The name of this software is trayselector
And you can download the free software from the bellow address

but this software is working on Microsoft word
and it isn't useful for me because
My software language is JAVA .
2     -   in the printer setup ( printer driver )
You can set printing the first page in tray 1 and other page printing on tray 2 (only )
It is not usefully for me too
Because I need use different tray on different time for different page . (PLEASE SEE RED )

If you are printing directly from a Java app you will probably need to embed tray selection codes as described in this post.

Help - Print first page from different tray

Hi,
I print seveal booklets and with my old printer (1200) was able to print the first page from the second tray. That is to have the cover page in a different color and weight paper.
How do I do this with collated printing with my new Officejet 8500 Pro all in one printer. The option does not appear in the print options as it did for the driver for for the old 1200 printer.
I am currently using Vista is this option available with windows 7.
I will be glad for any help you can give me.

Smartform printing all pages from 2 trays

Hello all,
can we print Smartforms from 2 diffrent trays we have a tray selection option in smartform but is there a way we can print all the pages from tray 1 as well as tray2?
for example if i have 3 pages i want to print all 3 pages from tray1 as well as tray 2.

You will have to send the form to the printer 2 times to print from different trays. I seriously doubt it would be possible to do it otherwise, but you might want to check in the forum specific to forms.

Printing check 2copies from different trays

while printing check, client asking for another one copy for accounting purpose . but they asked to print one copy with check paper from Tray1 and another one with bond paper from Tray2 . but I couldnt take printout in the sametime 2copies from different trays.please advice in your client place how your managing in this scenario.

Multiple Pages from Different Paper Trays of a Printer

Hi, I just get a request for cheque printout with remittance advice list (background printing in F110). Because they got preprinted cheque paper, the check number / check detail will only be on the botton of first page, the following pages only contain the continued remittance advice list. So for the first page of all cheques, I'd like take the paper from tray1, and other pages (if there is second even following pages) are from tray 2.
How can I control in propram or by other way easily?!

If You go to SPAD for a particular Printer in the in the Tray Info Tab u You can specify the Paper formats thats needs to be attached to every Tray of the Printer from Tray1 to tray4...

When printing multiple pages from an internet email or webpage, only the first page is properly fitted on the page. All subsequent pages are cut off on the right side. What's the fix?

I have set the print settings to "Ignore scaling and Fit to Page" and it seems to work only for the first page of a multi-page webpage or email chain. Nothing I've done seems to fix it. I've set the print settings to 90% scale in page set-up in order to print FedEx online waybills properly, but I can't seem to solve the other problems.

Doc: I've had a similar experience, and here are the details, investigation, and a workaround. My printer is a Brother MFC-645CN, and I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a 2010 iMac quad i5 connected to the printer over my ethernet LAN. Are you using a Brother printer?
Firefox has shown this kind of nasty issue for the past six months or so. It seems to be related to the imaging algorithms in Preview when dealing with Firefox (now at v.12) and the Brother printer -- the screwy second page (and beyond) show up skewed and up-sized when doing a print preview also. No such problem seen in Safari or anything else. I am not currently using any other Mozilla apps on this Mac besides Firefox.
A few months ago I tested printing from my administrator account and a different user account. Firefox printing was completely normal and as expected. When I went back to my main user account, back came the funky second page.I went through extensive troubleshooting to try to chase it down, systematically removing and replacing apps and preferences and many other Library files related to printing, Brother drivers, Firefox, and Preview. Nothing helped. Solution was to migrate my user files to an account where the printing problem wasn't happening. I deleted the problem user account.
Everything was fine for about three weeks, and then with no warning, printing was back to the bad second page, just as before. I am stumped, and I'll let smarter people try to figure it out. I use Firefox a lot, and it's possible that some add-on setting is interfering, or a web page I visited turned the printing funky again. I just don't know.
Also checked on a Mac G4 running Leopard (10.5.8) and Firefox 3.6.28. No printing/preview problems there.
Now, for the work-around I am currently using -- print each page separately, one at a time. Page 1, then page 2, etc. Preview and printing looks completely normal. Hope this works for you until the bug is located and squashed for good.

I can't print multiple pages from a website using the site's print button or 'file - print' and if I try to save as a PDF, it still only saves the first page and then cuts off.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Firefox version 3.6.8. When I'm on a website and try to print the info on the site, whether I use the site's own 'print' option, or I go to the Firefox toolbar and try to use 'File->Print', only 1 page prints out - it just cuts off mid-page. If I try to save as a PDF instead, the same thing happens in exactly the same spot - it saves as a 1-page PDF and cuts off in the middle of the page. I've already tried all of the suggestions here https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Printing+a+web+page?s=printing&as=s and the suggestions here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages and nothing has worked.

I have the same problem... not being able to print website 'Print' pages. I have read carefully the above link and have followed the reset directions in about:config, but I still cannot print in Firefox. Both Google Chrome and IE work perfectly every time. I have verified that the correct printer is selected and that the margins are in order (0.5 all around happen to be what mine are set for). I have resorted to use the Firefox Add On "View this Page in IE" whenever I need to print something. Works like a charm, but come on... it should work in Firefox too! I know there is some setting or something, but the Problems_printing_web_pages link had nothing there that worked for me.

In Firefox, when I try to print a long (more than 1 page) article, I only get the first page. I do not have this problem when using Internet Explorer. Is there some setting I should adjust? Would appreciate help - I prefer Firefox.

In adobe reader, I can't print from different trays?

Using Adobe Reader, I can't print from different trays on my Lexmark x954 printer. I've tried reinstalling the print driver (latest version) and reinstalling Adobe Reader with no luck. I can see the trays and even select them in the print dialog box in adobe but when I print I am unable to print from the correct trays. It always prints from tray 3 of my printer no matter what tray and type of paper I choose in adobe. Any suggestions?
I've also noticed a problem printing through Preview. I can select different trays using preview but the print time is extremely slow. It seems like it has to re-download the pdf page each time it goes to print. So a 100 page print job takes 20-30 minutes to complete which means other have to wait for my job to complete so it really slows our office down.

Scanning multiple pages from print book into computer

How to scan multiple pages from print book into computer? Someone supplied a link to this question, but I got stuck at step 1: Where is "HP Director software"? In other directions, it says to open the "HP Scan window," but that option is not available to me when I follow the directions. I have an HP 2159m computer, HP Photosmart Plus all-in-one, Windows 7, and use Firefox, if that's any help.

I have a similar problem:
I am using an HP Officejet 6310xi via its TWAIN interface. Regardless of which application invokes TWAIN (whether Irfanview, Thumbs Plus, or something else), the scanner dialog closes after transferring each scanned image. To scan the next page requires re-starting the scanner, beginning with a whole new preview and re-entering all my scan settings. This is only an issue with the HP scanner, not with my Cannon CanoScan LIDE 100, Visioneer OneTouch 8920, or any other scanner, each of whose scanner dialogs stay open for scan after scan. Can anyone help me make the HP scanner dialog stay open for multiple pages?
Note: Based on a suggestion on another site I set my scan preferences to include "Prompt for Additional Scans from Glass" as follows, but it did not help.
I am experienced at scanning, but I find it extremely frustrating that the HP scan dialog closes, forgetting its settings, after each page.

I need to print multiple pages on a single page from a PDF (ie: pages 1 and 2 onto a single page, pages 3 and 4 on a single page etc.)

Print multiple pages with dynamic data from same movieclip

like much of us i have a problem with printjob.
I have a printjob routine, that starts a new job, then
handles the following in a loop for printing multiple pages:
1. update content for every page in a sprite. every loop it's
the same sprite. the sprite is visible on stage
2. addPage to Printjob
after that sends the printjob to the printer
Now the Problem:
On Windows it runs perfectly. On Mac only the last page was
printed. the other pages before are empty (white).
Has anyone a idea?

Her's my code. As you can see i try to print a table on
multiple pages. In every loop i only show the rows for the actually
printing page:

the printview function only updates the content in the sprite
that will be printet on every page.
it generates the rows of a table that will be printed on the
actual page and return if all rows are printed (true or false)
this is a very slim function. there is no time overflow or
sth. like this.

Trouble Printing Multiple Pages in Quick Succession - LaserJet P4015x - Networked Printer

Hi,
We are currently experiencing problems printing multiple pages in quick succession. We use a bespoke Microsoft Access Database to run our Sales Order Processing. As part of this software we print 3 part invoices, credit notes etc on different coloured paper. We do this by printing to different printer trays. Originally we tried automating the printer tray configuration through VBA code using one report and changing the print tray as part of the print process but were having problems with Microsoft Access freezing. As result we have resorted to printing 3 different reports straight after each other (using VBA code) but with each report specified to print from a different tray.
We are current using tray 2 (500 sheet feeder - standard A4 paper), tray 3 (500 sheet feeder - standard A4 paper) & tray 4 (500 sheet feeder - standard A4 paper).
The current setup does print a copy from each tray and does give us what we want apart from the whole print process being very slow.
The first page comes out from tray 2 at the normal speed you would expect from a network printer but then we start to have issues.
Sometimes the second page from tray 3 will come out quickly but the third page (from tray 4) will be very slow or both pages 2 & 3 will be slow to print. There seems to be no pattern as to why these are slow. To make matters even worse sometimes it will print correctly and all three pages come out in very quick succession (although rarely).
We are using modern PC's (running Windows XP SP 3 with 2GB RAM & 160GB HDD) and the print command is definately being sent to the printer in quick succession - as far as I can tell. I have tried to setting the printers to print through the server and setting them up to print directly to the printer using the built in print server in P4015x.
The printers are networked to a Windows SBS 2008 server with quad core processors and 16GB RAM. The server is only used as a file and print server and is not under heavy load.
I will also point out that I have tried printing to another HP printer (4250dtn) and it has exactly the same problems.
I have removed advanced printing features from the printer driver setup on the client PC's but it does not seem to make any difference. I have also tried printing directly to the printer rather than spooling.
I have updated the drivers to the latest one on the HP website and still no change.
I would appreciate any ideas any one might have to sort the problem out.

I'm doing the exact same thing: three print outs in succession to a specific tray on a network shared printer and occasionally getting a MS Access printing error 2212 counldn't print you object. Printer setup is saved with the reports one for each printer tray.
I'm printing from bespoke MS Access 2002 application using runtime to HP LJ 4100 on Citrix terminal server session.
Any info you have would be appreciated.

Hp deskjet 960c won't print multiple pages

I am using Mac OS 10.5.8 with a hp deskjet 960c. Over the past few weeks the printer no longer prints documents with multiple pages from Preview or Excel. It will print the first page from these two programs but stops there. It still prints multiple page documents from Word and Acrobat Reader. I have no issues when using a different printer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer multiple times. Any ideas?

Same problem with HP6940. USB connection.
Also reinstalled drivers.
HP4050N has no problems on network.

I have converted a report from oracle 6i to 9i, didnt change anything but when i printed the report on a dot matrix printer the next pages tend to move one line up... all my frames are fix what should i do??? help...

I understand you are experiencing issues with multiple pages. I would like to help, but I have a few questions before we get started.
Are you having issues feeding multiple pages from the paper tray, or the feeder?
Are you able to make a multi-page copy?
Do you get any errors, like out of paper?
In the meantime, I'd recommend a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
