Print multiple photos with captions

I cannot find a way to print 4-6 photos with captions. Instructions say to click on More Options on bottom of dialog box. when i click on that, only color management is an option. This is after selecting Picture package. please help.

PS Elements 6 with Windows XP sp2. I tried the organizer but would go with either one that works. What I want to do is print between 3-6 photos on a plain white piece of paper, enlarged to fit the page with captions under each photo. I have used Word to do this but thought an all in one would be better. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Printing photos with captions

In a photo album I've put a caption into the Description box of each picture. I haven't been able to figure out how to print the photos with the caption beneath each picture. I can make a web page with the text in the Description box beneath each picture so surely there is a way to do it with printing. My goal is to print the sheets of a simple photo album -- two 4x6 pictures per sheet with the Description text below each picture. Can you help?

If you want the captions beneath the photo then use the Contact Sheet theme in the Customize section of the print window. In the Settings page you can check the Comments box to have the comments printed under each photo.
You'll have the option as to how many columns to have per page which determine how many photos will be per page.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

How do I print multiple photos onone page

Create a new blank document the size of your paper and then copy the photos you want to print into it. They'll each come in on a new layer and you can move them wherever you want, rotating if wanted, to make best use of the paper.

  • PSE 9 Problem Printing Multiple Photos

I am unable to properly print multiple photos in V9. For example if I select a single photo and select my paper size as 81/2x11 and try to print 5 copies of the photo in 3 1/2 x 5 size - the preview screen only shows a single photo and it shows it will only use one page. If I print it, the photo is printed one time on 5 pages. I have included a screen shot. The same thing happens if I print multiple copies of multiple photos. I know there is an option under more options to only print one photo per page but it is not selected. Even if it was selected the preview should show that 4 pages would print. I have duplicated this on more then one computer. This is a serious bug and makes printing from PSE useless. This started after I installed a recent upgrade.

I would like to add my experience with printing.  As per the previous comments I have also used Elements since the first version and have undergone many upgrades, so believe I am qualified to make these observations.  I have always used Elements to manage printing for our art and photographic business and have never had any issue and very little waste, very important when the paper and inks cost so much.
It would seem that the printing from Editor works much as I would expect.
Printing from Organiser does not work as it should.  I have always used this for printing greeting cards and other multiple print options and would expect to set for individual prints to a specific size with a number of copies per page.
    Observations of print problems:
Only one image per image selected appears in the preview window.
The preview window does not update to indicate multiple pages  will be printed where more than one page worth is chosen.
Only one image is printed per page.
Images requested print one to a page, so in my case three pages for one image 'Use each photo' set to three.
In the 'More Options' is a tick box to select one image per page, this is not selected.
At this stage popped up a message stating Organiser is unable to print and will skip this page.  The printer then prints 3 blank pages this being the number selected.
I am pleased to say that returning to PSE7 to check my facts I find it does exactly what I would expect, the preview page fills up with the number of images selected to print.
I would like to know if Adobe will be pursuing this issue as I have no use for PSE9 if it can't print as per previous versions.

  • IPhoto How to print multiple photos per page.

How do I print multiple photos on one page using iPhoto 10.5.1?

You've done it in the past - but not with iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x
with iPhoto '11 version 9.5.1 (there is no version 10.5.1) the only way to print multiple photos per page is as I explained - and going back to a [revious is not an option as previous versions will not run under OS X 10.9.3 and previous versions can not read the library after it is upgraded to version 9.5.x
the way you do it is
For now a work around is to duplicate the photo in iPhoto (this does not increase disk storeage requirements) and print multiple copies at once
To print 4 you must make 3 duplicates and select them and print all four

  • Print multiple photos on one sheet in Photoshop Elements 11

I want to print multiple photos on one sheet in Photoshop Elements 11
I am using Mac OS10 10.7.5  I am using Photo shop Elements 11.  Could you please help me?  New to photoshop elements.  Thanks.  Jodie

Well, you can start with File>Picture Package. If that doesn't offer a layout that works, create a new file (file>new>blank file) the size of your paper at the  resolution you want, then copy paste your pictures into it and use the Move tool to position them.

  • Printing multiple photos without border

This forum itself illustrates something is wrong. There is no category or listing for 'Printing'.
I want to print multiple photos on a single vertical A4 sized page, without borders.
I can't do that easily. I have done it before, but keep forgetting the work-around that I had to develop each time I've done it.
I want to resize the photos to get them on the page.
I can't do that easily. I have done it before, but keep forgetting the work-around that I had to develop each time I've done it.
In older versions of iPhoto, there were several options for printing, including something called 'N-up'. Click on that, and select how many photos per page, and then print.
This version of iPhoto has no such option. It is very very very difficult to print six or four or nine or eight or even two large photos on a single vertical A4 page, and there is no excuse for that. I can get something that with Simple Border or Contact Sheet, but most of the page is empty white wasted space.
How can I resize the photos to get several on a Simple Border layout? Why is this so very difficult to do?
    Frustrated, Isshi.

    Never mind.

  • Printing multiple photos on single A4 page

With my previous version of iPhoto, there was an 'N-up' printing option that allowed printing 2, 4, 6, or 9 photos on one A4 sheet, without borders. That was perfect for printing A4 sheets for a hard copy photo album. With iPhoto '09, there is no N-up function.
How can I print six (as large as possible, with no borders or text) photos on one A4 page?
Thank you for your assistance, Isshi.

it is not possible as far as I have determined to print n-up with no white space between photos with iPhoto '09
To print n-up select the photos and click print, select the printer, paper size and print size (you will have to experiment to find what you want for this)(note that is the size is not the same ratio - typically 4:3 for point and shoot digital cameras and 3:2 for DSLRs - as the photos you must either crop the photos to the correct ratio prior to printing or the computer will crop for you - often not where you would choose)
Then click customize and click on the setting button in the tool bar at the bottom - select print multiple photos per page - the preview will reflect what will print
If you are happy click print again, select any printer specific options and click print to print the page

  • I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong.  How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?

I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong.  How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?

If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter.  If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in?  iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time.  If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.
    Let me know the results.

  • How can I print multiple photos on the same page from iPhoto?

I want to print multiple pictures on one paper. How can I do that from iPhoto? If I select multiple photos they are printed on separate pages.

Select the photos and click print - select the printer, paper size and print size (be sure that they will physically fit on the paper) and click customize - on the resulting page click on the settings icon - the gear looking thingy at the bottom - and in the selection window set print multiple photos on a page - the preview should reflect this change - and click print again to continue

Do you want to print several different photos per page or multiples of the same photo?
If you want to print several different photos, select them all at once and press command-P for "Print".  Pick the Custom Layout and adjust the photo size suitably.
If you want multiples of the same photo, duplicate the photo several times and select all copies at once, then press command-P.
