Print only comments with replies
I just reviewed a 96-page pdf with hundreds of comments, and replied to about 30-50% of the comments. My replies are mixed in with the comments that have no replies. I'd like to print only the comments that have a reply for a conference call tomorrow. Is there a way to do this? From the Comment List, under Print Comments, it seems to only give you the option to print comments. I am using Acrobat Pro 9 on Windows Vista x64.
Unfortunately there isn't a way to filter the comments by reply but you could hide the other comments and then choose "only the comments currently showing" in the comment summary dialog.

Print only sheets with comments
How can I select and print only sheets with comments. If I have a plan set that is 300 pages long and I make comments on random pages and want to select and print just those pages, how can I do that without manually searching through the document and writing them down them printing them. The comment summary options don't help because I want to print the sheets as they are, without adding the little numbers next to them like it does. Thanks for the help!
Marcus:
There's no direct way to do what you want to do but there are a couple of workaround that can work.
1 - create a book with the Yearbook theme. That will allow you to have a page of multiple photos and text underneath. Do a Print to PDF. Open the pfd file with Preview and print the individual pages you need.
2 - create a gallery with the built in html layout or use BetterHTMLExport or Galerie to create a thumbnail page with comments. Galerie and BetterHTMLExport both have much nicer themes and layouts for you to control. Then open the gallery in Safari and print the thumbnail page.

Can you print only pages with a specific master page designation?
I'm laying out a fairly large technical book using InDesign CS4 and need to print proofs of pages that use a specific custom master page. Rather than scrolling through the Page window and writing down page numbers that use that specific master, i'd like to have a quick way of doing it. If anyone knows of a way to do this by either script or other means, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

How to print only pages with selected checkboxes
Hi
Here is what I've got:
- a PDF with 101 pages
- page 1 is a form
- end-user fills in his logo (image-field)
- this is placed on all the following pages
- end-user fills in price of all 100 products and
- decides if he wants this item (page) to be printed by checking a check-box
- end-user hits a buton and voila; only the checked items print-out
Problem is with this last item; I can not get it right.
I implemented a script (see below) but it does not work.
Maybe because I am so not used to this, I putted it in the wrong place?
I know the script works without a Print-Dialog-Box; I could always first present a message or so with instructions or what the pressed button is about to do.
Please help? Thank you very much
if (getField("Check Box1").value !== "Off") {
print({
bUI: false,
nStart : 1, nEnd : 1});
if (getField("Check Box2").value !== "Off") {
print({
bUI: false,
nStart : 2, nEnd : 2});
if (getField("Check Box3").value !== "Off") {
print({
bUI: false,
nStart : 3, nEnd : 3});You may try writing the following script at "pre-print" event with Javascript as scripting language,
if(CheckBox1.rawValue == false)
CheckBox1.relevant = "-print";
And so an so forth for every other CheckBox<no.> .
Ensure to save your form as “Dynamic XML Form”.

Cant Print anything from firefox window !! says hp smartprint is incompatible with firefox 14.0.1
this is the first im new to this firefox thingHi,
You may print from Firefox using the standard print dialog (File > Print or by clicking the CTRL + P keys).
The HP Smart Print only compatible with Internet Explore 6 - 9 as you may find listed below:
Smart Print works on Windows XP SP3, Vista and Win 7 and currently supports only Internet Explorer 6.0 and above.

How can I view all comments in a Pages doc and print the doc with comments?
It seems that we can no longer view comments in the margin of a document. It is also not possible to print the document with comments visible. Anyone else having this problem? Pages 09 Help does not even offer an up-to-date explanation. "Show Comments" only shows color shading. The option “Show Comments and Changes Pane" does not even exist. How can I get the comments to print???
You will have to wait for Apple to fix this deficiency in a forthcoming update to Pages v5. Or, you could use Pages ’09 v4.3, if originally installed before the v5 upgrade, and located in /Applications/iWork '09.
Otherwise, use another solution (e.g. Office for Mac 2011, LibreOffice). -
Adobe's instructions for Acrobat X Pro say that to print the document with connector lines on the same page, I should go from the menu to "Print With Comments Summary." I'm using version 10.1.7 and that option doesn't show up. My menu bar looks like this:
and my print dialog box looks like this:
And if I go to Commenting under Preferences I get this:
I don't see any of the comment printing options Adobe refers to in their instructions. Am I looking in the wrong place for the option to print comments on the same page as the document? Or is there some reason this is not available?Hey Dan,
With this call:
DAQmxErrChk ( DAQmxCreateDOChan( taskhandle, "Dev1/PFI0:7","", DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines ) );
You're trying to write to the PFI lines, which are part of port 1. Only the 8 lines on port 0 "Dev1/port0" support clocked/correlated DIO, port 1 only supports static/SW timed DIO (which is what you are using) and counter timer opperations. To do buffered output, check out the Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk shipping example at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Digital\Generate Values\Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk
when you use this, you'll need to specify an external clock - M-Series DIO does not have its own timing engine so it has to get its clock signal from somewhere else. Most just use an onboard counter to generate a clocking signal, so the Dig-Pulse Train Cont example under counters can be combined with this.
Most of this is covered in the M-Series user manual, though I realize its not exactly lite reading
Hope this gets you started,
Andrew S

Issue printing combined document with comment summary.
I am having an issue generating the correct output for printing a comment summary with connector lines. I started off with three duplicate documents, all of which had been commented on by different individuals. The documents and comments were combined and I attempted to print the comment summary with connector lines. I noticed that at the bottom of the first page, where there should have been a comment, there was only the name of the person who had commented and then the standard line "Comments continued on next page" but the person's comment was not there on page 2. Its as if only their response is being cut off but you can still see their name, along with the date and time of the comment.
I sent the issue over to someone I know who has Adobe Acrobat Pro X and they did not have the same issue. I am not able to upgrade to V.X yet so if there's anyway to correct this or if I am doing something wrong, could someone please respond and let me know? I combine documents and print with comment summaries on a regular basis.
Thank youHi Alejandro,
thanks a lot for your reply, but I am afraid this does not have anything to do with that.
I have checked the option that you mention and it was checked. Besides, I am using now Web Intelligence Rich Client, so that option should not be a problem.
I don't really know what it is, it seems to be a bug or maybe the alert are not supposed to be printed.
I would appreciate any idea that could help.
Thanks a lot -

My Page has data more than one page, it has verticle scroll bar to view all data .
I used window.print() to print the data of webpage, but it prints only first page and left the remaining information.
This works fine with Internet Explorer 6+ and Google Chrome.Does the entire webpage appear in Print Preview? <br />
File > Print Preview -
My web page has a select tag and cfselect tags and when I print the page with a different option other than the originally selected option the print for both types of select tags reverts back to the original selection and ignores the new selection. This happens in IE9 and .cfm files but not when the page is printed in IE8 or IE7 modes (tried in the F12 Developer Tools.) It also needs to be a .cfm file. FireFox printed the pages correctly for any combination.
This was done on a Dell and ThinkCentre computers under Windows 7. Also, I was able to reproduce the same problem on an different university web site where a selection box would revert back to the original selection for printing on a .cfm page and would print properly on a .PHP page at the same site.
For my site, I used a print button which calls print() and right clicked and chose print and got the same results no matter which method was used. I only had the right click method on the third party web site.
I know this is probably a bit narrow an issue but, any help would be appreciated.It appears that it is probably an IE9 bug.
I simplified the problem by turning the page source taken from the brouser of the original .cfm into an html file and found that it would still print improperly.
When I eliminated the various parts of the file I found that it would print correctly only when I removed the first line, the "DOC type" line.
The page will print the newly selected option but then I lose the style sheet.
If it does not work in an HTML file it must be IE. It is not the .cfm. The reason that it did not work for .cfm files, is that they always have a "DOC type" statement.
I have put the issue into an MSDN forum in addition to the one mentioned previously. -

Adobe acrobat only prints first page with airport express
I got my printer (HP PSC1315) to work with airport express using one of the solutions described in these forums. Printing is fine except when trying to print pdf files with adobe acrobat, in which case only the first page of the document prints. Preview has no trouble printing pdfs. Anyone else experience this? Is there a solution?
Thanks,
Kevin
PS- my version of acrobat is acrobat pro 7.0.5Figured it out.
Adobe Acrobat/Reader is apparently very picky about printer drivers.
I had to have the users delete their mapped network printers from their Printers & Faxes window.
Then I opened the registry and went to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3
I deleted the drivers for the printer(s) the customer had mapped (e.g. Xerox 6360DN, .. etc.)
I rebooted the computer
I had the customer logon and remap their printer.
That resolved the issue.
