  • Default Print Options when issuing output

    Dear Experts:
I came across a issue regarding print options when issuing output from the billing document.
my first question is, this default print options seems to be coming from my output record as for print immediately option. where does Recipient come from?
my second question is, is it possible that I make the "print immediately"  option default by user own settings in SU3?
    Thanks in advance.

The recipient normally is the person which is logged in, during the NAST-Entry is saved.
I know, there are several options available in the customizing, but I'm really not sure, so perhaps you can work through the official help located here:
Output Determination (SD-BF-OC) - SAP Library
The "print immediately"  option cannot be set to the user-parameters via customizing. I think you have to use a userexit in the messaging to put some lines in there to make this work, but also please work through the official documentation.
If you doesn't find a solution, I think this space match better for such a question:

  • With CS2 (Win XP), why am I not able to see a print option for 13x19" output?

I have printed smaller pages, 4x6 and 8x10 inch, with my CS2 to my HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer.  However, I am now ready to print 13 x 19" prints and there is not option in the printer setup in CS2 to select it.  I even converted 13x19 to 330mm x 483 mm and there isn't an option in milimeters either.  Can anyone help please?  David

Thanks for your response.  I hadn't mentioned I was using a B9180 icc profice and since the 9180 can print up to 13x19 inches you'd think there'd be an option to do so, so I'll recheck it.  Thanks again.

  • How to default the print options to the excel output

    Hi,
We have a requirement to default the print options in the output of the report and the output is of excel type.
Basically I need excel out put, which should be printed on Letter size paper and orientation should be landscape.
For this I created a RTF template keeping orientation as landscape. I've loaded the xml data and see the output in excel. But the problem come when view print preview. By default it shows the preview in portrait orientation and scaling set to 'Adjust to 100% normal size'. Because of this my report is not getting printed in a single page. Manually If I change the orientation to landscape and scaling to 'Fit to 1 page(s) wide by 1 tall', the report prints properly. so how to default these properties while generating the output itself?
    Thanks,
    Vijay

I got a work around for this. Instead of using RTF template, I used Microsoft Excel itself as template and did the formatting in excel.
    thanks,
    Vijay

  • Reports 3/6i HTML Output Print problem

    Hi!
I am using Reports 3 to generate HTML output but when I print this HTML output, it does not break at Oracle Reports Page break. It looks like the browser takes its default settings for margins. I am using IE 5.5.
    I tried the following options
    1. Using { page-break-after: always } option in 'After Page Value' of Report Escapes property (Report)
    2. Changing margin settings of browser, but was not able to change them to 0.
I want to print the HTML report with page breaks where Oracle marks as Page Break.
If possible, Please do write me at [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Praveen Kumar

    Praveen,
When you generate a HTML page in Reports, you are generating a single page document that is then intepretted by the browser. You are correct that when you then print this page from the browser then it will not necessarily break at the same point as the reports page breaks.
The only way to guarantee that you will get the same breaks is to use a different format. Most commonly people use PDF format when they want the printed page to match exactly what's on the screen. Alternatively you could include a link on the HTML rendition of the report that resubmits the report to the server but instructs the server to print the report directly.
    Hope this helps,
    Danny

  • Publish SWF Output Options Export HTML

I have a number of projects that display the Export HTML,
Output Option of Publish SWF as checked and disabled. When I
publish the project the htm file is not generated. All of these
projects have SCORM Reporting selected and should be producing the
swf file, htm file and scorm_support folder, but all I get is the
    swf file. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Raymond Sugel Sr

IThis is an aside but would be good for other newbies to
    know:
what I learned and maybe you already know this is that when I
published (having htm selected) it generated an output folder on
its own!!! Lorn behold my htm, swf, and a file named js (?), I
think was in that folder. I would have never gone looking for
another folder but happened to see that was where I had placed by
    1st cp project days earlier.

  • HTML DB Printer options

    Thanks Vikas,
I work with version 1.6. and I have a navigation bar entry name "Print Version". When I click on this entry because I put on Printer Friendly, a new window appears in front in a printer way. But, If a write on "OnClick Javascript'' window.print() , I want the printer options on this new page which I newly get the focus but the printer options is related to my first window; I do not want this.
Another question, Is it possible to combine many window.xxxxxx on "OnClick Javascript" ?
    Thank you. Bye.

Sorry, but I really dont understand what you are trying to say.
window.print() invokes your browser's builtin File/Print function, typically that would popup a dialog box with Printer options.
For me (Firefox, Windows 2003), it brings up (see screenshot)
    http://tinypic.com/eq7ebo.jpg
This has nothing to do with HTML DB.
The [Print] navigation bar in HTML DB would just redisplay the same page but pass in YES for the printer friendly mode (9th argument in f?p= syntax). This displays the target page using the "Printer Friendly" page template (if present in the theme you are using)
Another question, Is it possible to combine many window.xxxxxx on "OnClick Javascript" Instead of calling a bunch of Javascript functions inline, you can always put them in a function of your own and call that function. Is that what you mean by "combine"?

  • Printing issue of report output

    Hi Friends,
I am trying to print a report having one record but getting printed two pages instead of one.
The first page contains the output data and second page contains 'Data statistics and number of records' which can be accomodated in same page but it takes another new page.
Do you have any idea how to print it in a single page ?
    Thanks and regards,
    BABA

Thanks every one for quick response!
I developped a report to display output in ALV GRID screen.
Select the 'LIST' from menu and then choose 'Print' option, it creates a spool  after providing 'output device'.
Then goto transaction 'SP02' select the spool and choose the icon for 'Print directly'.
Then it print the list(Though it has one record) in first page and 'data statistics and Number of records' in second screen.
My requirement is to print the data of second page in first page though it has sufficient space instead of second page.
    Thanks and regards,
    BABA

  • How to set print option for a Billing document using T-code VF02

    Hi All,
Please suggest me the way to set print option for a Billing document for T-code VF02 and please let me know how to get print preview for any particular Billing document?
    regards
    Anand.

    Enter the billing documents detail
    Goto Goto> Header>Output.
Check the status for your output type in this screen.
If it is green then come back to the VF03 screen.Enter the billing document number.
Click on Billing document-->Issue output to.
Press (CtrlShiftF1) or click on the icon beside "Print options".
Here you can see the print preview.
If the status is red then click on the processing log. Here you will get the error messages.
If the status is in yellow colour, then click on the "Further Data" button
Set "Dispatch time" as "4 Send immediately (when saving the application)"
Before the print preview option you should make sure you have added correct output type to the relevant billing document. To do that, go to transaction VF02.

Set PDF Writer as "Default Printer" (Right click & select "Set as Default Printer")
Then normal way, print the billing from SAP.
It'll automatically send to your PDF writer. You can save it to the path you want,

  • Tabs in HTML output

We have a very large RoboHelp for Word project (24 source
files, 2500 topics). Do to Vista issues we are converting from
    WinHelp to HTML output.
In the Word source files, allignment (within lines) is
controlled by left Tabs. The WinHlep output is fine. It appears the
the tabs (as well as multiple spaces) are ignored in the
HTMLoutput. A review of the HTML spurce code reveals that tabs are
    coverted to &nbsp on compilation.
    What are my options?

    > I do suppose there is always the option of continuing to
author using RoboHelp for Word. After all, you may use this
    > to produce HTML Help and WebHelp outputs too. But if you
are creating HTML outputs you may as well be using a
    > tool created to work with such files, no?
With all due respect, Rick (and much is indeed due in the
right contexts) this doesn't help the original poster. The tabs
issue is as you point out a quirk of the HTML world, and the only
benefit of moving to an HTML editor in that respect is to make it
apparent up front that tabs can't be handled sensibly. As you say,
get used to it - if you are using HTML-based output, you can't line
things up with tabs. You can use tables, but that's a major editing
operation with 2500 topics whatever tool you are using to write the
help. I suppose the dignity of the problem depends on how important
the lining up is in the final output.
I may be reactionary, but I stick to Robohelp for Word even
when I am generating Webhelp format. Sure, there are drawbacks, but
IMHO Word offers a vastly superior authoring environment to
one-topic-at-a-time HTML editors. The HTML editor might be a tool
created to work with HTML files, but that doesn't automatically
mean it's a good tool for the job.

  • Image not displayed in html output used webservice to store in a location

    hi
we have used webservices to store the pdf and html outputs but the problem is when we are seeing the preview in the bi publisher we can see the image in pdf and html but when we run through webservices and see the output files that are stored in some location image in the html output is not displayed but in the pdf we can see the image.
i have used the direct insertion image option in the header section. is the problem because i have used the direct insertion.
can you give the idea how to import logo from an external location so that we can check the if it is problem with direct insertion or problem with the webservice as we are storing the output files outside the catlog but it may not be wrong because in pdf we can see the image.
I am not having any idea how to solve thsi issue..
Sorry to bother you with these many questions
    Thanks in Advance
    Have a Nice day.

Please state which BI Publisher version you are using.
In case it is 10g then please always test the application with the latest patch first!.
BTW today there is been a new patch 11846804 released for 10.1.3.4.1 (March 2011).

If I were to guess, I'd guess that your filename is invalid. How about removing all special characters (spaces, brackets, etc.) from the device name. Also, make sure your form was compiled for HTML.
I haven't actually used the HTML driver, but these are general things you should do if you have trouble with any Central driver.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

    Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..
    Flash Embed Options:
In the Print Option, it looks disabled:
The required/desired output is as follows:
We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.
