    When I try and print an "Approach Plate, or Departure" from ForeFlight to my Epson Stylus NX430 using AirPrint the image is resized. How can I print without it resizing. I want to have the plate print in the original size so I can use it. Is this an Apple, Epson, or Foreflight Issue? I just purchased the printer so I can return it and get a different model or brand. I spoke to Epson and the suggestions given did not resolve the issue. I have cut the paper down to the size of the plate roughly 5.5x8 and it still try's to print at 8.5x11. I have also requested help through ForeFlights Tech help but have yet to receive an answer.
    Please help!

  • Why do my resized images print out original size?

    i understand how to resize images (somewhat). however, when i print them, they are printing as original size. what do i have to do to correct this? i have searched the web in vain, am just not finding info. everything is about resizing only. i am using picture manager. have also tried with paint and photo gallery or something. no one in this house is very computer saavy, PLEASE HELP!!!

    Thankyou for your response! Still in need of help!
               I am making a craft project. I have resized my image exactly how i want it to be to fit my project base. (No standard sizes work). I made the image smaller, to fit exactly on my base (a heart). I saw there were even templates with a heart, but have not figured that out yet. I used the percentage button to resize my image, with the ratio set to keep the dimensions correct. I saved the resized image. Then I opened it and printed it. It was smaller, but still not right, not how I have it on the screen and not the right size. It is too big for my heart and wouldn't work. I know it must be something simple, some little step I am missing. I need to know how to tell the printer the new size. I am using picture manager. I have a HP Photosmart Plus B210 series printer. I have picture manager, paint, hp photo viewer, windows photo viewer, media center, photo gallery. I don't understand why resizing, saving, then opening that file, still did not work. It still printed out (smaller than original but) not the size I needed. I also edited the image and saved it with a new size, and my editing changes.
           This is truly driving me insane! I have spent hours and hours trying to figure it out for myself, as well as searching the web, and asking for help from different forums. (Not to mention wasting lots of ink!??!!!!)
                                                         I Truly would appreciate any help,
                                                                          SINCERELY,

  • Report images in Report Viewer are shown in original size

    I have a strange problem with embedded report images. I have inserted few images to report and set their size to FitProprtional. When I run the report in BIDS (VS 2008)  the rendered image is shown as it is supposed. When I install the report to CRM
    2013 Online environment and run the report the report viewer shows the images in original size. But when the report is exported to PDF or Word the images are displayed the size I want them to be shown. Good thing is that the reports are ment to be used as
    printed, but it is quite annoying to the users when they preview the reports in report viewer.
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Any ideas to this?

  • I cant print custom sizes in photoshop CS3. Please help

    I am on my Imac G4 using mac os x 10.4.11. I know that it is not my printer that is the problem. I have been told that I should upgrade to 10.5.x, I have also purchased a new CS3 because I dont have the original copy so I cant reinstall it. The trouble that I am having is that when I try to print custom sizes, the printer defaults back to 8.5x11. Only in photoshop does it do this. Has anyone else had this problem or know what I can do to fix it? I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time. I will check back until this is resolved.

    Russell,
    Because your screen shots (they look like you actually shot them with a camera! ) don't show the whole Print Preview panel, I'm not sure at what stage you're losing the paper size, but it's pretty clear that by the time you invoke the printer driver, it's royally screwed up.
    At this point I would:
    • delete the printer from your printer list (in the Printer Setup Utility),
    • re-install a fresh copy of the latest printer driver from the Epson site,
    • then add the printer back in.
    This is the kind of consistency you should be seeing (Command Click on each thumbnail to open the full-size image in a new web browser tab) [NOTE: this is CS4 running in Tiger 10.4.11):

  • PDF's printing the size of postage stamp

    Recently when I try to print a pdf from any program on any printer, an 8.5X11 document will print the size of a postage stamp in the upper right or left hand corner. Settings in printer drivers look fine and print preview looks fine, but actual print is very, very tiny. This has been happening for the last 3 weeks, but pdf's were printing properly before this. I have not made any changes to my computer or to either of our 2 printers. One other person in our office is having problems with this, but everyone else is printing pdf's just fine. Could there have been an issue with an update?

    Adobe Reader X; printer driver shows document size as 8.5X11 and the print preview appears to fill the 8.5X11 space. Document and paper size both set at 8.5X11. Also verify portrait/landscape is set properly - print 100% - print actual size - choose paper source by pdf page size - output size same as original size - uncheck shrink to fit...

  • Get multiple jpegs in a single file at original size

    I apologize because I'm sure this is stupid easy, but I can't seem to find the answer on google.  I have several jpegs I want to place on a single 81/2 x 11 page at their original size.  When I drag them onto a new 8/12 x 11 document they print larger.

    Good day!
    What are the pixel dimensions and resolutions of the original images (Image > Image Size) and the newly created file?

  • When I print a pdf file, the first page is dramatically  reduced in size while remainder pages print correct size. How do I fix this pro blem?

    recently, when printing pdf files, the first page prints out as 1/10 or 1/20th original size while rest of document prints correctly.
    I have no idea how this happened or why and I have no idea how to fix. I cannot get the first page of any pdf doocument to
    print correctly and thus, I am virtually unable to print pdf files.

    Sometimes if a .pdf is smaller than actual 8 1/2 x 11 or bigger, you'll either get way too much of the image and it's cut off, or the image is too small. You should also try to do this in the print driver window: Properties -> Advanced -> Image Options -> Disable "PostScript pass-through"

  • How do i save a file in its original size?

    Photoshop automatically scales my large files to 8-12% giving me lower print quality.

    Thank you so much for all of your time and info!
    I changed the Image Options-Quality to 12 (the maximum, it was automatically set at 10) and chose baseline standard instead of baseline optimized. This results in a 17 MB file (still less than the 18MB file, but I'll take it). I have tried all sorts of combinations and still haven't gotten the original size.
    You mentioned color profile and now I'm having all sorts of problems with that. When I uncheck "embed color profile: ProPhoto RGB" The color in the new file is totally different. The original says the color format is sRGB. When I change the profile in PS to sRGB, it looks much different than the original, it looks the same as if I uncheck ProPhoto RGB. I want to make copies of the pictures onto a disc and then give them to different family members to print. Most of them will send it to Costco or somewhere like that to print, but I'm worried that if I save it in TIFF or ProPhoto RGB that not everybody will be able to open the files on their computers.
    What is the best way to ensure that the photo prints as closely as possible to what I see on my screen?
    I have included snapshots of the same image saved multiple different ways. The first image on the left is the original. You can see in the little thumb nail to difference in colors between the different color profiles. When I uncheck embed color profile ProPhotoRGB, it shows now color profile on the file info. When I change the color profile to sRGB in Photoshop it looks totally different from the original which says is also sRGB.
    On a side note, I use Light Room for all that I can and I don't have any of these problems. I just import and export on its automatic presets and everything stays the same.

  • Large Print Job Size with Alpha Blending

    A while ago, I wrote some java code to print portions of a graph (from JGraph). In the original design, I painted directly to the Graphics object in the Printable.print method. However, the resulting print job size was around 50MBs per page (which is unacceptable when tens of pages are spooled). Nevertheless, the results were perfect. A second attempt to reduce the print size rendered the output to a BufferedImage before drawing to the Graphics object. The print jobs were now ~500KBs per page, but were pixelated. Because of time constraints we used the latter method.
    Recently, I revisited this problem and discovered the large print size is due to a color using alpha blending. Having transparent pieces is important, but I'd like to improve the print quality. Does anyone know how to "flatten" or otherwise reduce the print size?
    Thanks in advance.

    I've run into this same problem and I can't figure a way around it. I mocked up a simple class to test the difference in sizes of print jobs that are printing a display with translucent colors and those that don't and the difference seems a little extreme. Here's my code:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.print.*;
    public class SimpleTest implements Printable {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        PrinterJob job = PrinterJob.getPrinterJob();
        job.setPrintable(new SimpleTest());
        if(job.printDialog()) {
          try {
            job.print();
          catch(Exception e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
      public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int pageIndex)
          throws PrinterException {
        if(pageIndex >= 10) {
          return Printable.NO_SUCH_PAGE;
        g.setColor(new Color(0f, 1f, 0f, 0.5f));
        g.drawRect(25, 25, 300, 300);
        return Printable.PAGE_EXISTS;
    }On the call to g.setColor, if I set the alpha argument to 1f, the print job size is 64 KB. However, if I set the alpha argument to 0.5f, the print job size bumps up to 239 MB. That's close to 3000x larger!
    So, is there a way around this? I tried changing the PrintQuality and PrinterResolution attributes but neither seemed to have any effect. Maybe I did something wrong? I used the following to change the PrintQuality:
    PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
    aset.add(PrintQuality.DRAFT);
    if(job.printDialog(aset)) {Is that the right way to do it? If so, what other options do I have?
    Thanks,
    David

  • Document not printing full size

    I am a new pages user, and I am creating a magazine for an english class. Two out of four of my articles do not print full size, even though the paper size is set up and everything else seems to be full size. When I look at print preview, the article is shrunk down and I have no idea how to go about fixing this.

    Kurt,
    I'm not implying it's a bug. I recognize that it's a "feature." But I'd like to be able to print my doc without having to first turn the Comments feature off. It would make a good Preference selection. But I also like your idea about the warning.

  • ID CS5.5 Mac - Trouble printing custom size 13x21 transparency

    I am trying to print a positive transparency for a screen print. The document is 13x21. I have a 13 wide transparency roll from which I have cut a 21" piece. I'm printing to an EPSON 1400.
    I cannot get the file to output to this szie. It cuts off the image within in 8.5x11 boundary every time.
    I have:
    - set a custom size in the print dialog
    - clicked Page Setup in the print dialog and set the custom size there as well, ignoring the warning about it not being the ID print dialog
    - the preview in the dialog will look perfectly oriented to the correct size in the little thumbnail
    - I have tried everything I can think of to try and get the output sizes in sync and correct
    - I switched to PDF to try that, fail again
    Is there anyone that can help with some step by step of a process that will work?
    Adobe ID CS5.5, EPSON Stylus Photo 1400, Mac Lion 10.7.5
    I just can't comprehend how this could be so difficult and unintuitive. Any insight would be freaking wonderul.

    Wow! Sudden serendipitous conclusion to this insanely frustrating issue.
    I had found information that the EPSON 1400 should be able to print 44" long output by default. I was searching specifically to find folks that had printed large or panoramic imagery and stumbled onto a UK photography site where a person has mentioned he'd written software that would allow this printer to even print beyond 44". That sounded great.
    BUT, the last post on the thread a guy mentioned how he was able to print up to 44" to an EPSON 1400 with ease. The solution, he said, was that the WIDTH of the print area in the page setup must be LESS THAN 13". Why? No explanation.
    So I reset my custom size to 12.5x21 inches and BAM! First attempt from InDesign printed successfully. I can work with the margin.
    Anyway, in case anyone else runs into this issue this works. Here is a link to the 2009 post that mentions this as well as info regarding printing longer than 44".
    This one is solved.

  • How to save photos in original size with iPhoto?

    I import my DSLM pictures (4000x3000) per camera connection kit to iPad. I would like to edit the pictures (in Photo Stream) with Photos and iPhotos, but both apps automatically reduce the picture size  to my iPad resolution when saving - which is
    not so brilliant. Now the manual says that this should happen in original size (!). So, please tell me how to do thsi?

    DPI - Dots Per Inch - is meaningless for digital photos until you print them. Then to have a 300 dpi photo you need 300 dots (pixels) per inch of printed photo - so a photo to be printed at 1" x 1" needs to be 300 pixels x 300 pixels - one to be printed at 4" x 6" needs to be 1200 pixels x 1800 pixels -- once to be printed at 20" x 30" needs to be 6000 pixels x 9000 pixels.
    See The Myth of DPI for additional information.
