Print Page Information Outside the Bleed? CS3

Is there any way to print page information outside of the bleed? I know I don't need to have this on the page. But, it makes me feel more comfortable being easily able to check my pagination information (the documents I'm printing don't have page numbers on them).
CS3 prints page information right across the bleed. So, I have to leave it off with any documents which do bleed.

Sorry for being such a noob. But, it's not working for me. I add a slug to the page and I place a text box inside it with the page number special character. But, that character doesn't display a page number. Instead, it says "PB" for pasteboard. Only when I move the box onto the page does it display the page number.
Will I have to manually enter each page number or is there some automatic way to do this?

Can I customize the "page information" in the "marks and bleeds"?

I'd like to customize this information with the designers name included and when and who made changes to the document. I do not want to include a slug to the page. Is any of this possible?

Not possible. That's what slugs were designed for.

Why Does Illustrator CS2 print Page Information Backwards & Garbled?

We just upgraded my comptuer & had to reinstall my CS2 suite. Im using Windows XP and my problem is occuring in Illustrator CS2.
When I check off the "Page Information" box in the Marks & Bleeds printing preference it previews onscreen as it should print. However when I print, the page information prints backwards & the characters are all overlapping so its all garbled and illegible.
Does anyone have a clue how to correct this? I've not been able find anything in my searches.
Prior to my upgrade, this was never a problem.

Neither CorelDRAW nor Adobe Illustrator are PDF file editors. The only PDF files that CorelDRAW can reliably and successfully open, edit, and/or print are PDF files created directly by CorelDRAW. Likewise, the only PDF files that Adobe Illustrator can reliable and successfully open, edit, and/or print are PDF files saved directly from the same or later version of Adobe Illustrator, assuming the “retain editability” option was specified.
The only safe program to open and print all PDF files from is Adobe Acrobat. Alternatively, a PDF file may be safely printed from a print system that natively RIPs PDF.
The fact that your “printer” is attempting to print your PDF files via CorelDRAW or even Adobe Illustrator demonstrates that your “printer” is very sorely lacking in knowledge of PDF workflow. I most strongly recommend that you find a better-educated “printer” with reliable workflows.

How do I print an image outside the paper or canvas area?

I have a gradient image I want to print outside the paper size or outside the canvas area. I have tried changing the document and print setup and nothing works. When I print, the page there is a white border around the entire page. Can anyone provide some suggestions?

As you suggested, I changed the values in the bleed (several times per image 1); however, it still prints inside the page showing a white border around the image (view image 2). Any additional suggestions?

Perhaps you have set the margins so tight to the edge of the paper that you have gotten into the non-printing area for your printer. Most printers have a dead zone.
What are your margin settings?

In which portal30 table can I find the displayname of a page? I can find the pagename and other information about the page, but not the displayname, and thats what I need.

I am looking for display_name, not the name of the page. In the table wwpob_page$ is under column NAME only NAME of the page, but not display_name. I see only TITLE_ID column, which probably shows at the DISPLAY_NAME of the page. does anyone know to which table? I can not find any constraints about TITLE_ID in the WWPOB_PAGE$ table.

For printing: Is it possible to organize the address book in columns to save space in printed page? Otherwise the right half of the page remains empty.

In the old Outlook Express it was possible to organize the address book printed page in double columns so you don't need to waist half of the page leaving empty areas. I can't find the way to do it in thunderbird. Thanks for your help.

Dynamic page information from the portal database?

Is it possible to get information about existing dynamic pages from the portal database? We're upgrading our portal from 9.0.4 to 10.1.4 and because we will be running the new version on a different platform, we can't run any upgrade scripts and need to build again from scratch. I was hoping I could pull dynamic page information from a portal view or table into a spreadsheet, to save our developers having to click into each dynamic page application in the old version to get the pl/sql code to copy and paste into the new version. The generated dynamic page packages just have api calls, so it may be possible that there's an api to do this. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it? Thanks.

How do you adjust the page margins on an Officejet 6700 premium All in One printer. I just bought and set up.
Setup and install went well and every thing seems to be working. I have looked in the set up software and have yet
to find any thing on setting page margins. The issue arose when I printed an email and the right edge of it did not

As I understand it this has a lot to do with the originators message and format (an example here of users with similar issues). It appears html in the messages can cause this and things like scale to fit may not help. Are you able to export the email and open within word or similar program for printing?

I select a page for printing and the print page shows only the frame data and this is all that it prints.

Can I print page information (i.e. the file name) on my printout in Reader XI?

I can do it in Acrobat Pro, but I don't see any way to do so in Reader.

If you open the PDF in a browser (like Firefox or Chrome) the file path, including the file name, will print at the top of the printout. I'm unaware of a way to do it with Reader, but someone else may know how.

Smartform : Print PAGE 2 at the last

Hi,
I have FIRST-PAGE and SECOND-PAGE.
FIRST-PAGE has all billing related data (usually 10 pages long) and
SECOND-PAGE has some left over Billing Info plus Total and other Info,which are not part of FIRST PAGE(Some windows are same as FIRST PAGE and there are some additional windows as well).
I want the SECOND PAGE to be printed always in the END as a last page.
How do I achieve this?

I tried that but that was not helpful because my SECOND_PAGE has continuing MAIN WINDOW too. I want the records to flow onto the SECOND_PAGE.
Let me tell you, what exactly we have done.
There are two pages.
i) FIRST_PAGE
ii) SECOND_PAGE
Both pages have same windows (second copied from first page), Second page has 5 additional windows stating Total, Few lines on terms etc.
I want the SECOND_PAGE to be printed as a last page because the Total and Condition text need to be on the last page only.
Now, with your suggestion, I tried to put COMMAND in first page with condition -> SFSY-PAGE = SFSY-FORMPAGES -> Go to SECOND_PAGE. But it did not work. I put the COMMAND in MAIN WINDOW and then after I put it in last window. Still no luck.
Let me know if anybody needs any more information.

HP 2605dtn prints page half of the page (verticle) is cyan

I had about 500 pages left in a cartridge and it went through the toner quickly (streaking whole pages).
The black plastic inside the printer that moves the paper gets covers in cyan.
I bought all new HP cartridges and it still streaks cyan.

Might have been a spooling issue. I changed the printer settings -> advanced to "print directly to the printer" which appears to have solved the issue. Cheers

Cannot run a page from outside the context of an unbounded taskflow

JDeveloper 11.1.2.1
I have a JSF page placed on one and only one unbounded taskflow (adfc-config.xml).
When I want to run that page from the application navigator or from the design editor I got an alert that I have to select a starting activity out of two choices. Both choices point to the same unbounded taskflow. The file adfc-config.xml exists only ones in my application.
Why JDeveloper offers these choices although the context is set by the only one taskflow ?
