Print PDF, 5 different reports and send pdf to 5 emails to different people

Hey Forum experts.
Here's my question.
In Apex 3.0, I know that we can now print to pdf. Woohoo for that feature...
Can we print to pdf 5 different reports.
and then email those 5 different pdf outputs to 5 different emails?
Can it be done?
and then can it be done by having everything all called from one procedure or one method etc
Does anyone have an example of this ?

Sending emails can be done using Oracle XML Publisher / BI Publisher. We use that product for rendering report regions and report queries, for any more advanced printing needs, you will need to use the product directly.

I talked to one the experts, he asked me to use the following Adapter and BPEL activities to accomplish it.
DBAdapter --> {BPEL process} --> Java Embedding --> Email Activity.
Can someone please help me to pass the information retrieved by DBAdapter to Java Embedding and then to email import? I have created DBAdapter and Java Embedding. I don't know, how to retrieve the data read / sent by DBAdapter using Java Embedding. Also please help me to pass the xl attachment to Email Activity.

I would suggest something like:
DBAdapter --> Bpel Process --> File Adapter --> write file to location (you can write in csv which can be imported into xls)
Read Location --> FileAdapter --> Bpel Process --> Email Activity

Hi,
You cannot schedule and email a Discoverer report using standard Discoverer scheduling. You have to use a third party scheduler and Discoverer Desktop running on a windows PC.

1. The report item Image can be used to display the image which embedded in the report, stored in a database, stored on the report server, or stored elsewhere on the Web.
For example, you can embedded the PDF image in the report and stored as text in the report definition.
2.Reporting Services includes an e-mail delivery extension and a file share delivery extension which you can send report to user or group through e-mail or send the report to a shared location on your network.
If you want to send the report to FAX, you may try to create a custom delivery extension depend on your faxing software.

Hi,
There are Parameters DESTTYPE, DESFORMAT and DESNAME. You can set these parameters to get as you want.
1) Output in Excel File

Yes, you can create an email attachment without writing a file to disk. This feature was introduced in CF 8.0.1.

I have this exact problem. I have 3 email addresses on my mac and I can select one, and the email still be sent through another account and I won't know it until I get a reply for that email in one of the other accounts.

I need to make a pdf form that is fillable and send from ipad to email not tracked just the complete email. Can someone help me.

I have forms that I have created with submit buttons, that are filled out and sent complete to an email box. I would like to do the same only have my form filled out on an ipad and then have the submit button send the completed form the same way.
I don't want to gather the data, since i am doing this for another department. They want to track there own data via the Pdf's they receive. Is this possible?

Adobe Reader for iOS does support a Submit button.
(a) Button action to submit an entire PDF document via email
(b) JavaScript submitForm to Adobe FormsCentral
Do you use the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF form?
For option (a)
Add the "Submit a form" action to your Submit button.
Enter "mailto:" (including a colon) followed by email recipient(s). Please add a comma between two email addresses.
Example: [email protected], [email protected]
Select "PDF The complete document".
This particular type of PDF form will work with Adobe Reader desktop and mobile products (including Adobe Reader for iOS and Android).
In Adobe Reader for iOS, a user can do the following steps to submit the particular type of PDF form.
Fill out the PDF form.
Tap the Submit button in the PDF form.
Select "Share Original Document" or "Share Flattened Copy" from the Share File dialog.
Adobe Reader for iOS will automatically fill in the email address(es) that you specified when you created the PDF form.
Tap the Send button in the upper right corner.
Adobe Reader for iOS will send the PDF form as an email attachment via Apple Mail (the default mail app for iOS).

Printing pdf files from emails

I am unable to print some pdf files from email attachments... The comment box says that I have not selcted pages to print but I have in the print box and I can't see a way to do so in the file itself...Any suggestions

I think you'd have to change the paper stock attributes on the printer, commit that with Adobe Reader quit, and then run Reader. There is no possibility of passing this as a parameter. I don't think even Acrobat Pro has this capability, it's entirely in the hands of Windows. (Note that Reader is unsupported outside an interactive session).

I've used this FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 for sending email, but I can't use it for executing and sending an standard report (MB5B) by email, how can I do?.

You can use
SUBMIT submitable TO SAP-SPOOL
                    SPOOL PARAMETERS print_parameters
                    WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
                                        AND RETURN.
Here submitable is the name of the program for MB5B transaction.
This will create an entry in table TSP01.
u can read the entry and use the FM for sending email.
