Print PDFs from Website Without Header

Is there a way to print PDFs in safari from websites where it does not inclue the header and footer informaition with the website URL, time etc?

In Safari when you hint "Print" it opens up the print dialog. On the bottom you have the point "Print headers and footers." If you don't see the extended print options click on the arrow in the upper right corner.

  • Cannot print PDF from websites

We have about 50 PCs. We regulalry download documents from websites and print them out. But on one PC we are having problems. We can download the document and view it on screen. The problem PC does not have a local printer. Instead it is connected to two printers shared through the main server: a HP 4250 and a HP4014. We cannot print these downloaded PDFs to either printer. When we attempt to print the confirmation "bubble" does not appear about the tasktray, but he printer icon does appear. When I open the printer window it briefly dispalys a 1 for the number of print jobs. When I look at the list of jobs it says the job is spooling, then it deletes and disappears. If I view the queue from another PC it shows the job spooling and then disappearing. If I store the PDF locally it will print no problem. We have a couple of printers shared from PCs. I can print from the affected PC straight from websites to these printers no problem. Some of the documents we want to print do not have a save option. Instead we print to a virtual PDF printer, save locally, then open with Adobe Reader and it prints no problem. I have tried reinstalling the network printers, but doesn't fix the problem. We are running 10.1.4 on the affected PC. Any help would be much apprecited.

Some more information would be useful:
What application are you using to print, Preview, Adobe Reader, Acrobat, or something else?
What happens when you try to print? Can you not select it from the File menu? Does something go wrong with the Print dialog box? Is it something that happens afterwards?

  • Print PDF from web without opening A.R.

Hi, I'm looking for a way to print PDF documents (generated in Crystal Reports 11 on a IIS web server in PDF / ASP.NET Framework 2.0) on client's machines and printers (without opening an Acrobat Reader, but with print options dialog).
Is it possible to make this issue using Adobe Acrobat SDK?

For security reasons (eg. so that malicious web servers can't just start your printer a printing...), it is IMPOSSIBLE for the document to NOT show...
Any document that is on the web can be saved on the client's machine - that's the beauty (or not?) of the web and the protocols involved. If you wish to prevent misuse - be sure to use DRM.

  • Print PDFs from website

I want to make a webpage where you can look at a yearbook (of
10 pages A4 which I have in PDF) by scrolling down (or maybe click
to next page) and where you can print the whole yearbook on
    clicking on a "print"-button.
Does someone can give me tips how to do that best? Do I make
JPG-files from the PDF, but then how do I print them in 10 pages ?
Or can I open the PDF-online and print it (without having to
    download it?)
    thanks for any tips/suggestions.

You cannot. Any local action requires that the files being
    acted on are
    placed locally somewhere.
Sorry - I don't know the other answer.

  • Printing PDF from Report Region - Header Details

    Hi,
I've searched around for a while but was unable to find an answer to my query.
I have a simple report region, which i added a "Print" link to the bottom of - this brings up a formatted PDF version of the report which can be printed out, i'm just using the default PDF layout.
When it comes to adding a header and footer the PDF still functions ok, but when i try to add any page items it all stops working.
I basically need the time and date to appear at the top of the report, i created a hidden field just using the PL/SQL command "SYSDATE" which does return the correct value. But when i try to add this to the header or footer in the format "This document was printed on &P1_DATE", the PDF doesn't work, and when i try to download it, IE says the filesize is 0b.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, either something i've done wrong or if there is a better method,
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the reply Scott,
The PDF does download when I put a fullstop after the name of the item. Unfortunatly now the PDF displays as if the item "P1_DATE" is empty, i.e. it says "This document was printed on ",
I've made P1_DATE visible and it definitly displays a date, yet the exported PDF displays nothing where P1_DATE is referenced,
    Just to confirm:
    The Item is called P1_DATE
The references i've tried are &P1_DATE. and &P1_DATE
the date is populated by the code SYSDATE
    Thanks again,
    Iain.

Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.

  • I have installed Lion and have problems to print PDF from prewiev.

I have installed Lion and have problems to print PDF from prewiev. When trying to print Prewiev locks. Anyone out there with the same problem?

    Hello David and Nicole
I just installed Lion on my iMac, which was purchased in 2007, and I cannot print from Preview; it keeps locking up and not responding. So, I have to force quit Preview. I have been sending error reports to Apple. I suggest everyone who has this problem, send error reports!
I can print from other applications, like Pages, with my Canon Laserjet. I do not think it is a printer issue becasue I can print in other application.
I took your advice and installed Adobe reader. Now I can print pdf's.
    Thanks

  • Exporting a PDF from keynote without losing hyperlinks

exporting a PDF from keynote without losing hyperlinks
anyone have any ideas why it doesn't export the hyperlinks to the PDF?
i only have PDF reader on my machine, not the full PDF creator

Or, better than that, export the PDF from InDesign as PDF/X-4!
By default, Acrobat and Reader use overprint preview when displaying PDF/X-4 files. Plus you have the benefit of full color management and not having transparency ruined by premature flattening.
One other note. Other than for the fairly common practice of overprinting black text over colors to avoid halo effects due to registration, one should be exceptionally careful in using overprint. Trapping, the other good, justifiable use for overprint is really best performed by the RIP. Most modern RIPs provide for automatic trapping. Overprint should absolutely not be used as a “poor man's transparency,” especially in conjuction with spot colors. With the advent of real transparency in the Adobe imaging model and hence in Illustrator, InDesign, and PDF, there is no good reason to use overprint hacks anymore to simulate transparency.

  • Print pdf from ValueLine

Ver 11 says plug-in doesn't work; Ver 10 worked fine
Further information:  tried to print pdf from this site; error message says can't do plug-in.   Just downloaded fresh Ver. 11 today and accepted conditions.  Help, please!

I'm using Win.7.1, trying to download Acrobat Reader 11, reaching it from
    AOL 9.7 .  I can't download online pdfs from multiple on-line resources
(e.g., ValueLine and your own Adobe site).  After I've de-installed the  Reader
11 and started fresh, here's what I see:  The installation file  appears in
my AOL download file.  My Norton Internet Security says its  safe, and I
double click on it.  (I never get to the warning dialog -  presumably because
Norton has already vetted the install file.) When I go back  to the download
file, open it and click on Finish, the installation file  disappears.  I
never get to step 3 of the installation.  I don't have  a functioning Reader
    XI, either.

  • HELP! Why can't I print PDFs from my applications?

For over a year I've used Adobe Pro to "print" PDFs from AutoCAD LT (a drafting program). This allows me to perform design/drafting services for long distance clients and email them PDF "prints" of drawings for them to review, print, and use. It has worked beautifully...until this week. Now whenever I go to print a PDF from AutoCAD (or even other Windows applicacations like Word) it gives me an error telling me to change the Advanced printer preferences to "print directly to printer". When I go into the Adobe printer preferences and select this option. and return to print the PDF, selecting the print command causes AutoCAD to hang indefinitely and eventually crash when I try to cancel the print command. This behavor is the same inside other Windows applications like Word. So I've concluded that the issue is inside Adobe or my computer's Adobe "printer" settings. I've spent 5-6 hours unistalling a reinstalling Adobe several times in hopes to get back to whatever settings that worked before...to no success.
The last piece to the puzzles is that I was on vacation last week. Instead of the desktop computer in my office that I typically use, I took my old laptop. I only have one license of Adobe Pro. Even though I hadn't used it for months on the laptop, it worked fine creating PDFs from AutoCAD. My question is: did using Adobe on my laptop deactivate the Adobe loaded on my desktop? And if so, why hasn't deactivating and uninstalling the Adobe Pro on my laptop, and unistalling/reinstalling/activating the Adobe Pro on my desktop, fixed the problem?
I'm at my wits' end...any feedback/advice would be much appreciated!

In WORD (Sorry I don't have Autocad), can you go to the FILE>Print and print to the Adobe PDF printer with no problem? If not, can you select print-to-file and then open the file in Distiller to complete the conversion? If the latter works, it sounds like you may have disabled AcroTray, a necessary part of the printing process.

  • Unable to view/print pdf from Banks website.

I am unable to view/print pdf files from banks website, a white blank screen appears.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe multiple times.  I'm running Windows Explorer 9 and Adobe Reader XI.  I am able to view/print these files from a different computer and save them to a flash drive.  I am then able to open the files on my computer directly from the flash drive.  I am thinking maybe I have a setting enabled/disabled somewhere??

Thank you for your response.  Please be patient with my ignorance--I am not a power user.
1)I do not know what you mean when you direct me to open the PDFs within Reader.  I typically do open PDFs that are already stored in my files on my computer, but I don't know how do vies/download pdfs that I need to view or download from the Web from within Reader.  Can you please tell me the steps involved?
    2)  Do you happen to know whether this is a new development with Chrome?  I have been using both Chrome and Adobe Reader seamlessly for several years with no issues.

  • Unable to create PDF from website

I am suddenly unable to create a PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro from a website without a gray overlay and an error message telling me the browser needs to be updated.  I'm attaching a pic of the error.  Is there a way to update the browser in Acrobat?  I have installed all available updates for my Acrobat version I can find.  I have also updated IE and receive the same error.

The best I can tell is that it deals with Acrobat using an IE type interface. It did not have the background problem with AA8, but indeed it showed up in AA9. I do not have AAX to test that. Your options are to use PDF Maker from IE or other browser. From IE it worked without the background issue. The layout was different, but some scaling and such might resolve that issue. Printing seems to offer a better view. You likely only need a print, so I would suggest using the print function in your browser. The HTML of the site seems to recommend using a different browser than IE, so you might try FireFox.

  • Creating PDF from HTML without background

    Hi,
I want to create a PDF from a html-page. I tried several ways without success to get a PDF without a background (white). I need a transparent background to add different backgrounds for different pages in Acrobat X Pro.  I use an iMac with OSX 10.10.2, Safari 8.0.4 and have the MasterCollection 6 installed. I tried:
    - print page -> create PDF Result: white background which hides added background
    - print page -> save as Adobe-PDF Result: white background which hides added background
    - in Acrobat: create PDF from web Result: white background which hides added background
In all cases it doesn't matter if I select "print background" or not. And it doesn't change if I add in the CSS for the web a body {background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0)} or body {background-color:transparent}.
How can I create a PDF with no or transparent background?

    Hi Manoj
If your application generate a static html page, you can open those html files with Reports 9i and add a dynamic data sections which would be fetch the data in your html pages with Report servcies. However you can only run those modified pages as a jsp and show the output to browser window.
    Thanks
    Rohit
