Print presentasion without Print button on printout

We want print presentation and eliminate Pint button from printout.
We tried many ways:
1) We put in presentation initialization method a statement setVisible: false and print.this. Unfortunately a button still visible on printout.
2) We wrote a new method for a Print button: setVisible:false, print.this. Again a button is visible in the printout.
3) We make a presentation without buttons at all and tried to put print statement in initialization method. Now we lose a control of the buttons and cannot terminate a presentation.
4) We make a presentation without buttons at all and tried to put print statement in initialization method and immediately cancel a presentation with submit(). Again we lose a control of the presentation.
May be some of you can give us a helping hand.

Change printer settings without printing?

To create a new template one has to go through the "Printer..." dialog to change the paper size. Unfortunately, the only way to actually SAVE the new settings is to click OK, which causes Lightroom to print the current image. In all other programs, the "Printer..." dialog is used only to adjust settings. In Lightroom it seems to serve as a "Print" dialog as well. On Windows this violates long-standing UI function guidelines embodied by pretty much all other software.
A concrete example:
I needed to create a new template to print on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. To do so, I created a new template while in an existing template for 8x10. This copies the settings to the new template, but one cannot adjust the cell size to anything larger than 8x10. So I went to the "Printer...:" dialog to change the paper size. However, when clicking OK on the "Printer..." dialog, to save the new paper size, Lightroom starts printing the current image.
What should happen is that the settings are saved and no printing starts. Printing should occur only when I click on "Print".
Unless I've missed something and there's a way to change paper size, color profile, paper type, etc. (all the things you can change on the printer driver's dialog) from within Lightroom without invoking "Printer..."?

Jim, you have provided no detail at all.
I can change paper size without printing on my Mac with epson printers. I can even change paper size with o printer attached.
Let us know what your are doing with what set up....

How can I get printer handle without printer name?

I want to block printing by hooking. so I hook startdoc.
Unfortunately, If I block the specific printer, I should get printer handle
I know how to get printer handle from printer name. but I don't know printer name
I have known only printer hdc and document name.

Print frame without print dialog box

I want to thank everybody for the print swf file on the
raisingaimee site, but my question goes a bit further. I'm working
on a new quiz project and would like the results page to
automatically print out when the user reviews the quiz. OR when the
user clicks a button (say, continue or something similar) that the
review frame will automatically print to the default printer

How do I lift a picture in a document to print it without printing the entire document, and when I ask it to print at 400%, how do I get it to tell me how many pages there are and what is on them

I have a pix of a quilt in a document. I would like to print the page of the document at 400% to enable me to see the quilt better. When I go to effects and put in my percent, it prints the entire document and will not allow me to move to other pages. It says its p1 of 1. I am taking a class for making this quilt. I need this pix for the class.

File disappears from print queue without printing Epson 3800

I'm trying to print from photoshop on my Epson 3800 using the rear feed with art paper. I have printed successfully in the last week. Print job goes to queue, processes, then disappears as if the printer has done the job, printer is silent, no error messages at all. I can run a nozzle check via the computer through the disk utility which tells me it's connected fine. I have tried restarting, updating the driver, removing and then adding it back to my computer's printer list, trying to print different files, resetting the printing system

Yes I did Eric, but still did not work. I have solved the problem though! I thought I'd post it here to help anyone else that has the same issue... it was not enough for me to update the driver, I actually had to go and completely trash the whole driver, empty the trash and then reinstall it. Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.
If you are experiencing an intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.
Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the router. Objects such as refrigerators, microwaves, or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless transmission.
Move any device that emits radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. Such devices can interfere with wireless signals.

How to Print a interactive report without action button and search bar

Hello every one....
I am working on printing an interactive report. If there are 20 columns in that report i need to select some columns for printing. For this purpose i used actions button which is in the search bar of the interactive report. But i do not want to get that Actions button and search bar to get printed in the printing page. Can any one give a solution to sort out my problem

Crystal report print directly without crystal viewer

HI !
In my addon i use Crystal Report. What would be the code i need to add if i want to print directly instead of having to go thru the crystal viewer.
The crystal viewer gives me lots of problems with painting the screen when i move the form and it allways opens in the task bar. I cant seem to control the window sizes of the viewer either so unless it's easyer to fix those problem i need help to go and print direct without the viewer....

it seems that if the default print IE setting does not print background images then checkboxes and radio buttons do not appear in the printout?
Is there anyway around this besides changing the IE setting?

5)Select "Print Background colors and images"

Take heart. We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s). A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics. Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
"View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages. If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:

Hi Crushed,
Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

How can i print an email without printing the attachment?

I just got my new macbook pro retina display. I am using Mac mail and want to know how I can print an email without printing the attachement. Any suggestions and solutions would be appreciated.

Thank you for your suggestion. But when I receive an email that has an attachment (shown by paperclip symbol) The email opens and shows the attachment(jpg picture) at the end of the email so when I go to print - the email pops up with the picture already opened inside the body of the email. Can not figure out why this happens in mac mail. when i used outlook in windows only email would show. in order to see attachment you had to click on paperclip and only then would the attachment (picture apprear).

I can no longer print wirelessly without switching on Wireless setting on printer

My network is a Mac running OSX 10.5, HP Deskjet 3050 connected by USB to the Mac and a Dell laptop running Windows Vista. Previously the PC printed wirelessly but that stopped suddenly. I uninstalled the HP drivers on both computers, downloaded and installed the newest versions for both then ran the HP printer wizard.
Yes, I can print from both computers but I'd like to get it back the way it was without one more device in my house generating or demanding microwaves.

So you want to go from a wirelessly networked printer to a print sharing across different operating systems? Why? It will just stop working again. It is a very unreliable way to print.
There are not significantly more or fewer microwaves in your system with the printer connected wirelessly. If you are really worried about that you should shut down your wireless router, which is the source of the transmissions, and buy a wired router and string Ethernet cables throughout your home.
