Print Preview final adjustments
In CS4 when I went to print using the printer to manage color,[ with a preview ] I had the ability to make changes to brightness contrast ...also to make color changes before printing [ the last step ] in CS5 I seem to have lost the function ... the support team have given me a solution but at their last step the file has a psp extension and I can not open the file as required has anyone encountered the problem and have a solution

To reinforce what the others have said, try to get into this mindset:
1. Calibrate your monitors so that what you see when editing is as close as possible to what you will get when printing.
2. Use a print workflow that consistently gives you a print that looks like what you saw on the screen.
As you can imagine, these things are kind of co-dependent.
The above is not always an easy thing to accomplish, but once you achieve it you can print with confidence, and that can save you a lot of time and resources.

CS5 Print preview window heavly inconsistant with left margin
I can adjust my images to look fine in the print window display with the paper size I select. However the printed image does not accurately track what is shown in the preview.
It does not matter if I print borderless or with border.
I suppose it is a minor quibble in that moving the preview image left margin to the right (positive values) by small amounts the print out actually moves it to the left by that small amount. At first I thought this might be random paper alignment errors but the behavior is too consistent. But as I continued my tests I could not significantly/consistently shift the image to the right until a movement finally happened between 1/2 and 6/10ths of an inch. Only then did I get the actual 6/10th white border on the left side of the printout.
What the heck am I doing wong? Is this a bug? The old print preview was so much better as it gave a WYSIWYG output. Now it seems to be a crap shoot whether your border adjustments match your desired shift.
This is too blatant of an error to be a bug, so what am I overlooking? There seems to be some kind of rasterization of the movement going on I don't know about. That's a bit surprising, in that I've found HP in general to support their released hardware better than most when a new OS is released.
But it's not unheard of. Manufacturers don't benefit measurably by supporting old hardware, though it's a no-brainer that doing so builds brand loyalty. In fact, I'm sure there are marketeers in these companies that actually believe forcing you to buy a new device is a Good Thing. The printer is not supposed to be a consumable!
Scanners are more often devices that fall into this trap. Over time I've thrown away two perfectly working scanners (one Canon and one Mustek) because they weren't supported by their manufacturer upon release of a new version of Windows. On the other hand, my little, cheap HP 932c printer is still perfectly supported in Windows 7, even though I bought it back in the days of XP. Perhaps it has something to do with numbers of units sold.
Anyway, best of luck getting things worked out. I'm very sorry to hear that HP may be going the way of the other manufacturers.

As you said it is urgent to deliver the report, i will suggest you temporary solution while i debug the program.
In the FM "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY", use layout to generate your sorted report for now as shown following:
<b>DATA: G_VARIANT LIKE DISVARIANT.</b>
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
EXPORTING
I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM = SY-REPID
IS_LAYOUT = I_LAYOUT
IT_FIELDCAT = RT_FIELDCAT
IT_EVENTS = I_EVENT
IT_SORT = L_SORT
<b>is_variant = g_variant</b>
TABLES
T_OUTTAB = ITAB.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
ENDIF.
Where g_variant is your custom layout which you will make as default for output.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need more details.
In the mean time, i will look in to the program.
Regards,
Vicky

Follow below Steps:
1) Double Check your program and smartform names where you are attached in nace transaction.
2)check your templates and tables having formatting issues.
3)Finally create dummy of your smartform. then delete one by one window in smartform check it and trace out in which window error is existing.
even i faced same problem.
in my case i gave wrong line and column numbers under the template node texts. it won't show the error in smart form but while executing transaction out put could not issued.
Thanks,

Needing a 'print preview' capability for HP Officejet Pro 8600 (model N911a)
Please provide a 'print preivew' capability via the HP 'print window' for the 8600 Pro.
I purchased this machine in early April 2014 after the prior printer (photosmart 410) 'threw-up' ink inside the printer. The software with that Photosmart 410, prior (and perhaps some current) HP printers provide a 'print preview' capability.
I have several systems (some Windows Vista; some Win-7). All are current with maintenace (including HP S/W & drivers).
The printer is ethernet-cable connected to a 'switch' and in-turn ethernet-cable connected to a wireless router. Some PCs are also ethernet-cable connected; others are wireless connected.
The ability to do a 'print preview' via the HP S/W is not available on any system (i.e. via the 'print' window or subsequent windows, like 'Properties' or 'Advanced').
While some applications have a print preview capability, not all do. Having that capability via the printer 'window (i.e via HP provide S/W) is necessary - it is useful to make sure formating is proper, allows for subsequent changes if needed, and provides the abiloity to see and select the printing of only some pages.
This issue and request has been raised several times - going back to 2012. Just do a search on the Forum using keywords '8600' and 'preview'. The following are a couple instances:

JimHi DragonflyFairy,
I understand you would like to know how to get the print preview when printing from the internet.
Depending on what browser you are using, you should have the option to do the print preview.
I have provided 3 different browsers with how to get to the print preview.
Internet Explorer: Go to file, print preview and make your adjustments.
Google Chrome: Go to the icon in the top right corner and click the icon with the 3 lines, click print, make your changes.
Firefox: Click on the tab Firefox dropdown and select print, print preview. Change your settings.
If you are missing the print preview, take a peek at these documents to see if it will help.

Wrong pricing in PO print preview
Hi,
I have one scenario where sales tax/VAT needs to be calculated on gross price before discount. The calculation schema has been created properly and in PO in the tab page 'conditions' it is being calculated properly. We have a Z-condn type for calculation of discount after sales tax. But in PO print preview discount is being calculated before sales tax, so the final price is coming incorrect.
Can you tell me how to correct the print preview. Any changes need to be done in PO script?
We are using a modified form of ZMEDRUCK
Regds
AmitavaHi
IF you are using a customized form then obviously you need to modify your form accordingly and capture the costs. Please check your logic fo deterning the tax previously and how you ahve changed it now... just add that logic, the problem will be resolved
Thanks & Regards

To replace standard smartform by a custom form, to be used in PRINT PREVIEW
Hi,
I have a requirement in CRM 2007 webUI. If we try to create a sales order, then we have a toolbar option button with title "PRINT PREVIEW". It uses the custom smart form "CRM_ORDER_CONFIRMATION_01.
I have to replace this standard form by a Z custom form. This form has soem additional data required for business needs.
Field technical details of the button is :
1. Component Name- BT115H_SLSO
2. View - SOHOverview
3. Context Node - THTMLB
4. Attribute- BUTTON_8
5. Role key - BP_POW_USR
6. Comp. Usage - CUBT Sales Order
7. Object Type - BT115_SLSO
Please reply as soon as possible. To figure this out you need to do the following:
First determine the action profile for the transaction in question in the IMG.
CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types
Display the detials of the transaction and you will see the action profile. Next copy that action profile by using transaction SPPFCADM. Then in the action defintion for the print action, replace the standard smartform definition with your z-form.
Finally go back into the transaction definition and assign the z-profile to your transaction type. Please note you should only do this with "z-transactions".
I'm not going to go into further detail as this is basic CRM configuration and is valid for all releases. Please look at the best practices guides, or do a search in the CRM General and Framework forum for further information on how to do the configuration steps.
Take care,

Print Preview in InDesign?
Sorry, I thought this would be simple to find by searching, but it appears that each page with an answer on it has Print Preview at the bottom, so I'm getting a huge number of unrelated hits! I'm converting publications from Ventura Publisher 10 to InDesign CS4 on Windows XP. I'm used to using Print Preview in Ventura to view the placement of the page within the paper size and confirm everything is the way I want it before printing. I'm not needing to view color separations.
For example, my page size for the printed publication is smaller than 8-1/2 x 11, but I'm also printing a postscript file to an 8-1/2 x 11 page size, then distilling a pdf version that is converted to a fax tiff image and transmitted by our fax service bureau to our subscribers. When I do this, I need to determine an exact percentage enlargement that will bring the content as close to the margins as possible, since the fax adds a header and shrinks it back down. In Ventura, I can open print preview and tweak it, seeing in real time how my changes will print, quickly tweaking to bring images or text that are cut off back onto the page by changing the scaling or position of the content on the printed page size. I can't see a way to do that in InDesign. It's taking a lot more time since I can't eyeball it first before printing to file and making the pdf to test the change.
Am I just not getting how to do this? I see the Preview Window under print, but it isn't showing me the exact placement of the elements on the page, so I can see what's getting cut off and where, just the overall size of the enlarged area.
Thanks -- NancyI'm sorry, I think I have not been very clear. This document has two purposes. I have a page setup to be printed on a press. It's not 8-1/2 x 11, because it has to be setup smaller for the press. It is perfect for that purpose. To get a file I can feed to my fax broadcast system, I just need a postscript print file, the same file, that is now printed to a media size of 8-1/2 x 11, as large as possible to fill the space, with slightly different settings as to position on page, grayscale instead of color, etc. I am trying to avoid creating a separate document, or making changes to this document, because it isn't really necessary. This document is perfect for its purpose of creating the printed page; I just need a print file of it that's scaled a little larger to fit an 8-1/2 x 11 page so I can now run it through my fax system.
The final output is not the problem. I can find the correct scale and position and fix it in the Print Preset and I am done forever. My frustration is that to find the correct settings in InDesign, during this testing phase, I have to keep printing, creating the pdf, to just see what if changing the scaling by 1% will now move, for example, the page number back on the page so it will be in the pdf for the fax. In Ventura, I would hit print preview, use a hand to move the page on the media until it was in position, and set it up in print setup so it could be attached to a script and print the same way each time. But I could see it visually prior to printing, and that's all I was trying to do in InDesign.
It's true I'm having to move my creaky brain a new direction, and I'll look at your suggestions again. Thank you both for reading and responding to my original message. From your responses, I take it that the answer to my actual original question is, no, there is no print preview in InDesign that lets you view the actual image of the page on the media, and how it changes when different Print > Setup > Options are selected. The only way to really view it is to change the publication, so you show a page size that is the media size, and move the elements of the page and enlarge them to fit where you want them on the page. -
Cannot print preview a excel document Via DMS
Hi,
When we go to CV02n/CV03n and click on 'Originals' Tab and double click the excel document, we can see the excel document within DMS. If we click the Microsoft Office button and go to Print we do not see the 'print preview' highlighted.
Is there any setting in Micrsoft or DMS
Thanks and regards
Shahnawaz MohammedHi Shahnawaz,
SAP DMS standard features not supporting preview function. You can use page set up to make adjustments.

Can't print preview or print in Excel or PowerPoint
Gosh, I've been so busy fighting wireless networking issues with Leopard, it wasn't until today that I finally had a need to print an Excel spreadsheet and much to my slowly building frustration with Leopard, that too is a no-go in Leopard. In either Excel or PowerPoint, using "print preview" yields only blank pages and if you attempt to print the document, you get precisely the same, just blank pages.. Such is not the case in either Word or Entourage... Those both print ok... What I also find somewhat ironic is if I dump those same Excel spreadsheets into Parallels under Windows XP and the pc version of Excel, I can print the documents with no problem... Ouch... On my mac I'm running the most current version of Office (11.3.9) and my printer is a Brother PrinterMFC5440CN. I've encountered this same printing issue on both of my macs, a MacBook Pro and a G4, both running Mac OS X 10.5.1... Anyone have any possible solutions??? thanks... bob...
Hi Robert,
Just wondering if you sorted out this problem? I am new to Macs and recently bought an iMac after being a PC and Windows user for years. I have never had problems with printing but very frustratingly do now with the Mac. I have an Epson R265 and can print from photoshop, entourage, excel but not from word.
If you had any success with this problem could you let me know.
thanks very much

'Print Preview' in Me22n/23n and thru ME9F and PROCESSING STATUS
Hi ,
We are taking print of Purchase Order thru "Print Preview" button available in ME22N / ME23N.
Although the print out is perfect but system is not changing the processing STATUS of message 'output type'.The status remains YELLOW ( processing program has not started yet).
While If I take the print of same purchase order thru ME9F , we are getting the same Print and the status of output type also gets changed to Green " Processed Sucessfully".
Could u pls let me know what is issue at my end.
Regards
ShreyDear,
The system always creates a new version when the purchasing document has reached a final state.
This means one of the following processing states:
● Active
If you do not use the document release functionality
● Release completed
If you use the document release functionality
For a new version of a purchasing document to be created, all messages must have also been transmitted.
No new versions are generated for purchase orders that are on hold.
Not every change to an external purchasing document results in a new version. The following changes lead to a new version:
● All print-relevant changes
You define which changes are print-relevant in Customizing for Purchasing under Messages ® Fields Relevant to Printouts of Changes.
● Changes in document assignment
● Changes in address
Address changes result in a new version only if the field ADRC-NAME1 has been defined as a field that is relevant to printouts of changes.
● Changes to master conditions
Changes in master conditions result in a new version only if the field EKPO-NETPR has been defined as a field that is relevant to printouts of changes.
Version Data
You will find the version data:
● In the item details on the Versions tab page in Enjoy purchase requisitions (ME51N, ME52N, ME53N)
● In the header data on the Versions tab page of Enjoy purchase orders (ME21N, ME22N, ME23N)
● Under Header ® Versions in RFQs, conventional purchase orders (ME21, ME22, ME23), contracts, and scheduling agreements.
There you can maintain version data (e.g. reason for change) and complete the version. In addition, the Value change field shows you whether and to what extent the value of a requisition or external purchasing document item has changed in comparison with the previous version.
You can display the change documents for one or more versions by selecting the relevant versions and choosing Display Changes.
Please check accordingly.

Hi
In me23n screen we hv a print preview button. When we select the button we can able to see the print preview.
In that preint preview screen we hv a print icon. Here it is in active mode. So the end users are able to take print from selecting the icon without release of PO.
How to stop this or how to de activate the print icon. Is this the way to do this??
Pls confirm..
VijayHi
Check your release strategy, before final release, PO will not be printed. If still problem is there check with your developer whether he activated print from print preview (date element TDNOPRINT) in print program.
Thanks
