Print preview in abap list format

Dear All
I am facing a problem with the print preview.
When i am clicking on print preview button the system is displaying the output in a abap list format.
but when i m taking the print it is coming correctly.
The out put format is different in the print preview where as when i am taking the output it is coming correctly.
Pls help me out on this.

and also the printout shows only the ABAP content.
Pl. advise on how to view the print preview in a graphical format and not in the ABAP list format and pl. let me know the setting to print the spool in the graphical format.

Hi,
this problem is not only related to warehouse. even the print preview spool for GR/GI slip in t-code SP01 shows as ABAP list and not as graphical screen.
my question is why does the system shows the print preview for spool as an ABAP list instead of graphical view.

Printing Date Book without "list" format - Palm TX

I have an old Palm TX and am trying to print a day just as it shows in my Palm software-with all the times down the left hand side of the screen. But everytime I print, it just prints it in "list format". Is there any way to print other than in "list format"? I even tried to Export it to Excel or Word and all it would export to was a DBA document - what the heck is that? PLEASE HELP!! I have friends and family visiting for the next 10 days and I wanted to print out each day with everyone's schedule but NOT in a list format.

DBA stands for Datebook Archive. So you can create a backup of your data. As for your issue is when you pick the date in the Print option. This setting set up the items to print in List view only. If you need to print the calendar you can trick your PC to think its a certain day and use the Day option when printing. This should get the result you need.

ABAP List formats to cater for both A4 and Letter environments

We have an environment where now both Letter and A4 stationery is used. Where can we get ABAP list formats for the Letter stationery and should we define them separately e.g. X_65_80 and X_65_80_LTR?
Secondly what is the transaction path for copying and modifying ABAP list formats?

You cann;t change the font size thru report.
Go for either Script/smartform for the same.

Printing a simple abap-list in panel-format (DIN A4)

i have a simple abap-list. when i print it, the list will be printed in landscape-format. how can i change it? i have to print it in panel-format.

Hi Marcel,
I think you have to click on the "Full Administration" button t see the option for "Page Formats"...
Also go to transaction SPAD,
in Devices / Servers tab press Output devices button
Double click on the device type of your printer
Press button Formats
and here you get a list of all formats for your printer

Printing Japanese characters: ABAP List

Dear all,
How to setup so that my ABAP list can show japanese characters on printers?
We can see it on screen but could not print on printer.
I setup a printer type of HP1160.
When In print out from let's MS word to this printer, japanese characters display well.
BUt it doen't when outpting from SAP.
Please help.

How about checking printer configuration in SAP using transaction SPAD? Is correct format, characters, codepages are defined?

ABAP list report wont print on Z device type with Z format

Our developer have created a report which outputs data in ABAP list format and the standard format would not fit. We have since created a custom format and copied a device type in to custom device type. So we now have a custom format and custom device type. However when we print, it spools correctly and shows as green but the report wont print. The only thing that gets printed is
"Sort criteria AscdgDescndSubtotalGRAND TOTAL : X X PROJ" "
The abap list format is Z_100_500. Basically the report has 450 columns and hence we created this format.
I am not sure what this means. I have been advised by SAP to follow instruction on note 17895 - Adapting print list formats for customers however i cant fully comprehend point 5 of the note and I believe this is why it wont print. Has anyone adapted ABAP list using this note. Can you please let me know how i should go about printer initialisation mentioned in the noted.
We have checked everything however dont seem to get around the issue. Any ideas will be appreciated

How to edit Format type"X_65_255" of HP Laser printer when print out the same preview in abap list?
Example:
I want print as below:
     Title of abap list:                 AAAAAAAAAAAA --> size 15
    body of abap list:
                                           colum1   column2   columm3 ---> size 10
                                            s1          cccc          bbbb    -
> size 10

As I can see, all the escapes defined in "Printer initialization" are in
\e\0xqw\0xer0x\tz
form, where qw, er, tz are hexa decimal interpretation of escapes from printer manual.
I am confused where did You find annotation such as

ABAP list printing on device I2SWIN

we have defined output device (printer) with device type I2SWIN for printing on users frontend computers via SAPlpd. Settings of I2SWIN device type is default:
SAPlpd/SAPWIN driver 3.0
Do not use printer driver for ABAP list print
Character set 1406 Printer I2SWIN ISO 8859-2 (MS Windows Latin-2)
We can print ABAP lists on this device. We define formats and set margins and orientation in this formats. But these settings are ignored during printing. If we change in I2SWIN setting Printer driver to "Printer driver for SWIN printing using SAPLP/Windows", then margins are accepted and printed, but there are wrong characters in print output (not in requested code page).
Could anybody help us how to set print to accept margins in ABAP lists and also have print output with good code page.

O.K., we use margin settings according SAP Note 21738 and all works fine.

Trying to print ABAP List in Unix

I am new to SAP and I am trying to print using unix as my host spooler. I am printing to a Xerox machine connected to a print server. I am just trying to print the test ABAP list you get when you go into SPAD and select Utilities/ouput devices then select ABAP List. When I print this I get nothing but ABCD and a bunch of numbers. I am trying to figure if the ABAP list is supposed to be that way or if something is wrong with my driver.

What device type did you specify in the SPAD Output Device definition? You need to make sure you select a device type which is compatible with the printer. If the printer supports postscript printer language, then you need to select the 'Post2' or 'postscpt' device types. If the printer support PCL, then test with 'hplj4' device type. Most likely the currently selected device type is not compatible with the printer and therefore creates a print file which the printer cannot interpret.

Pick list print preview

Hi all,
How can I view the print preview of pick list output type EK00?
When I get to the Picking output from VT02N, it only shows me the status of the output generated.
But I can't see the print preview.
Also can I generate Ek00 output for a delivery manually?

Display in Abap List

Pl follow the below steps,
1. If you print via access methods U/S and use SAPlpd, replace SAPlpd with SAPSprint (note 894444).
2. If you print via access methods 'F', switch to access method 'G'.
3. Download device type THSWINU that is attached to this note.
4. Import the device type using report RSTXSCRP and assign it to package SPOO.
5. Assign the device type to your output devices that formerly used THSAPWIN.

ME23N Print Preview problem

When I click on button Print Preview in transaction ME23N it get a screen with an ABAP List in place of sapscript form preview.
Until the last week it was normal, someone know what happened? There´s someplace where I configure this?

I already check SPRO. It seems normal.
Like I´ve said, until last week it was normal. Now it is previewing the ABAP list and not only to one user and one ambient.
Just like you said, looks that someone changed the settings. But I don´t know what specific setting.

F.18 - Print Preview

Hi Gurus,
I am using f.18 to get vendor balance confirmation printouts. Now the problem is that when i execute f.18 for multiple vendor the system is showing seperate seperate print preview for every vendor but the client wants all the vendors to be including in the same print preview.

Dear Mani,
If you want to view the print preview of the list of all the vendors, please select and enter the required vendors From and To vendors
And, don't select the Individual Vendors in further selections.
