Print Preview in routing does not show text

Good morning all...
We have a user who is attempting to preview their print job, and currently the print preview function in the routings does not show the standard text. It displays the page number but nothing else.
I am trying to obtain more information from the user now, but was wondering if this is something that anyone else may have run into. I will be updating this message with more details as I obtain them.

Print Preview in RFx does not show new Adobe Interactive Form

Hello Experts,
I am trying to assign a standard Adobe Interactive form as the output form for SRM RFQ. I have carried out the following steps in customising under "Define Actions for Document Output".
- Selected bid invitation Action Profile = BBP_PD_BID
- Go to "Processing Types"
- Create a new Processing Type called "External Communication"
- Set the following values to the new processing type:
     - Form Name = BBP_BID_INV_ADB
     - Form Type = P PDF-Based Forms
     - Format = BBP_BID_INV_ADB_MAI
     - Personalization Type = 5 - Recipeient Variable Replacement
- Save Changes
My problem is that when I go to into the BID (RFx) and click "Print Preview" it picks up the standard Smartform, not the new Adobe form I have added as required.
Please can you advise of any additional config settings or other steps required to ensure that the Adobe Form is called when I click "Print Preview"?
We are on SRM 7.0.

Print & Preview of iBook does not show titles and comments.

iphoto used is 6.0.6 (322) I Don't know if this is a 10.4.11 or 10.4.4 problem.
problem: iBook prints contain pictures but not title or comments using Epson C60 or HP 1530 printers. Titles and comments are not visible in "preview" but picture is ok. Mac used is an intel Core Duo with system 10.4.4.
However, prints are ok, i.e., have title, comment, picture using the same HP 1530 or an Epson Stylus Photo 1250 on a Pwr PC G4 with system 10.4.11.
The Intel is the preferred unit.

Shared printer from a pc does not show up on my printer list.

I have a macbook air and the shared printer from a pc does not show up on my printer list. I know it's available on the network as I have a another pc that has access to it. The Mac did find it at one time but it has since disappeared. Appreciate help.

Problem situation described: -------------------------------------------------
My test project (I designed it for learning Cocoa) contains three classes:
“TextController” has a “retrieveAndDisplayText”-method.
“TextReader” has a “readTextFromFile”-method.
“DisplayText” has a “displayText”-method.
“MainMenu.xib” reveals a window with a NSTextField “shortText” and six NSButtons. Initially, “shortText” is set within “awakeFromNib” by the “setStringValue:”-method to the value “Press a button on the left.” which is correctly displayed in the NSTextField “shortText”.
Until now, of the six buttons only one button is activated (“Overview-Button”) which is connected to the “retrieveAndDisplayText”-method of “TextController” which invokes two jobs:
• First job: “TextController” sends a message to “textReader” (an instance of “TextReader”) to let him read a “rtf-text” from a file (dummy content: “Overview comprises five Parts: blabla”). The read “rtf-text” is returned and assigned to the instance variable “textRetrieved”.
• Second job: “TextController” sends a “displayText:argument”-method to “textDisplayer” (an instance of “DisplayText”) with “textRetrieved” as argument.
The ”displayText:textToDisplay”-method of “DisplayText” (resp. its instance “displayText”) receives correctly the content of “textToDisplay” (i.e. rtf-text: “Overview comprises five Parts: blabla”) which as a proof is logged correctly to the console.
Next, the content of “textToDisplay” is sent to the NSTextField “shortText” by means of the “setAttributedStringValue:textToDisplay”-method.
Problem encountered: NSTextField “shortText” does not display “textToDisplay” (i.e. rtf-text: “Overview comprises five Parts: blabla”). Logging “shortText” to the console says “shortText” is (null).
Complier does not complain: no warning, no error message, i.e. all seems to be correct. Where is the bug?

Preview thumbnails (CR2) does not show in import dialog box

When I import files from my camera ("Import photos from device..."), i don't see preview thumbnails of CR2-files so that I can choose which pictures to import. I can only see gray boxes. JPG thumbnails show.
I tried to download and install the Canon RAW codecs for Vista (http://www.canon-europe.com/vista/eos/raw_codec/), but it didn't help.
Appreciate all help with this problem.

the RAW Codecs for Vista have no effect on Lightroom which should handle and preview files from a 400D without any issues . There may be a problem caused by the fact that you are downloading via your camera rather than from the card. I would suggest using a card reader rather than downloading from your camera.

When a mail is printed, the pdf version does not show "t" and letters next to it. WHY?

my guess is their is either something wrong with the PDF creator or the font in question is corrupted on the hard disk.

Are you referring to the "Skin" as in the playback controls for the FLV itself? Or the overall playback controls for Captivate?
I suppose the logical step to take is to determine if your issue lies with Captivate generically or only this project. My guess is that it's only this project.
To easily confirm things, create a new blank project and publish that. See if it behaves as one might expect. If so, your Captivate project has an issue that you need to address. If not, you may need to reinstall Captivate.

ME23n , Does not shows the values correctly in print preview

Hi,
When viewing a PO using ME23n , it does not shows the values correctly in the print preview.
For example;
This is the vendor & its address. (check attached image img1.jpg)

COLOMBO-04
When displaying the print preview, it shows only some parts of the above address
Shows only; (check attached image img2.jpg)

These values are getting from a table called LFA1. I have checked that table & in that table all the values exists correctly.
I have noted issue is with, having only a single word. (If address or name having only a single word, that is without spaces, it will not going to show in the print preview) -
In the above example, it is not showing Number-122/A and COLOMBO-04 (Its a single word. No spaces there)
If its like --> Number - 122/A & COLOMBO - 04 , then it will display in the print preview correctly (where there are spaces after - mark)

If its having more than one word, then it will display correctly in the print preview. As below;

If its 2 or more words, it shows correctly.

It turns out that this problem went away after the program crashed. Everything seems to be working well now.

Preview does not show any postscript files

Preview does not show any .ps files in Mac OS 10.4.3. I get an error message "PostScript Conversion Error" when Preview tries to convert the ps file into pdf.
(I print online banking invoices to postscript using the print option "save as file", because the pdf option isn't always available as a file format.)
How can I view my ps files?
(this is a cross-post from the print/fax forum, as no one answered my question there)

Thanks for the tip. I downloaded Ghostscript, installed it but can't find it once installed and nothing has changed.
I did however find out that only my online banking PostScript files are unreadable. Other PS files I create with my Canon printer menu are automatically converted into PDF by Preview without a problem. So it must have something to do with the document header or whatever of the online banking files.

White swatch does not show on PDF or print-outs...

I've been noticing this glitch with the white swatch option more and more:
When I apply it to objects, it appears in the file, but when I generate a PDF it vanishes, and of course does not show on the print-out either.
Also, it won't show up on the print-out directly output from Illustrator.
Anyone seen this issue?
When I change the color to anything else but white, the graphics show up again.

If you turn on Overprint Preview in Illustrator, does it also disappear?
Overprint may be turned on, check the Attributes pallet, and uncheck Overprint Fill and/or Overprint Stroke.

When printing an AutoCAD-exported PDF file, the paper version has lines that screen does not show

Hello,
We were contacted by our customer, a landscape architectural company that uses our product, M-Color, (http://m-color.com) to plot AutoCAD drawings with required preferences and effects.
However, they provided us with a sample PDF files, that contain examples of scanned drawings, that have some "ghost lines" at the drawings that the screen does not show.
We tracked the issue and it appears to be an issue with Adobe Reader pringing. We tried many versions from 8.0 version onwards to the latest versions available in public, all represent the same issue.
This may be an issue of the original drawing having some line that was not marked ending at some point.
The zip file within the link below has three PDF files, two from the company that brought this issue to our awareness and the one with name "scanstation" is printed by me, and then scanned with markings to explain the issue.
Any ideas what would be the best solution to solve this issue?
