Print Preview in Web UI giving errors

Hi
I have created a service contract quote in Web UI and have released the same. An action to create the print output has been created and attached to the transaction.
A smartform has been developed to show the output as a PDF. This smartform is working fine in SAP GUI. We are able to see the output in SAP GUI.
But in Web UI, when I schedule this print action, the same is scheduled successfully. But when I hit the print preview button another window opens up with the error "Error occurs in Smart Form'.
I am not sure why this error is coming. Please help in case you have any inputs on how to fix this issue.

I would suspect this is a hardware issue. The rollers are probably having issues picking up the relatively smooth thick media. You might have better results be cleaning the paper pickup rollers with a damp paper towel. Also make sure the paper is snugly loaded and the paper guides have been correctly positioned.

Running Firefox 8.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.7.2 & can't print preview of web pages.

I have a MAC desktop running OS 10.7.2 and Firefox 8.0.1. and can't print preview of web pages. On my PC, it's there just fine. (Firefox 8.0 on Windows XP). What can be done to get print preview of web pages for the Mac? Thanks. C Baher

Print Preview in web report problem

After Clicking Print buttonn on the web report, i select Print Preview from IE Explorer and here the variable values passed to the print function in web template, are getting displayed and actually it is part of URL , getting displayed in the Print Preview.
any ideas ..
i have already cleared the value of title and footer in page setup.
and this is a junk data in the header in the print preview
it will be something like this,
User%20ID:%xyz%20printed%20 etc...
actually i am passing below values to the print function,
&P_FOOTER_RIGHT='+SYUSER + '&P_HEADER_LEFT='+REPTXTLG +
'&P_FOOTER_LEFT=' +INFOCUBE

Do you use a field for coloring a column or cell?
If the coding is not too large it could be helpfull to post the coding as well.

Chinese Fonts are coming ZUNK when i do print preview from web UI

Hello All,
I have a smartform which includes a standard text which is maintained in Chinese language. This smartform would be called from web UI -> activities -> Fax -> print preview.
when i do print preview of any activity, everything is coming correct except chinese text, it is coming as zunk characters.
i have created a standard text ( through Tcode - SO10 ) in CHINESE When i call it in my Smartforms it is displaying like boxes ( garbage ) .
But when seen in SO10 in Chinese login language the text is maintained properly in Chinese
Please let me know wat is missed out or is there any settings which should be enabled.
how would i do Character set enabled for chinese language?

Hi Sagar,
Yes that's a problem for Cyrillic fonts , I suppose you are using two action definitions : one for ES and one for EN print.
For Spanish you have to use a smart style which supports the ISO Cyrillic characters and that will then open up correctly for Spanish users.

I would like to restrict PO Preview option in Web browser for users who has SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE Role only. Kindly let me know that how I can restrict the PO Preview option with popup message like 'Authorization is not given to see the PO Print Preview'.

You can just revoke the authorization. This would remove the prining option for the user, rather than providing a message.
I guess this should be
Authorization Object - BBP_PD_PO
Activity (ACTVT) - 04
Note: The necesary object in the Object Class - BBP.

Unable to Print From from Web-Based Sites, Error Occurred in script.

When I try to print, I keep getting an error from a script running too long when I try to print anything web-based. I can print documents on my computer wirelessly, but not web-based (i.e.., financial statements). What is causing these errors from web sites? It is frustrating continually getting an error message. I have an HP 65000A Plus wireless CN557A#B1H, all in one printer and using Windows Vista Home edition operating system.
When I hit print, an error message comes up saying;
"An error has occurred in the script on this page"
Line:2053
Error: Invalid procedure call or argument
At the bottom, it asks " do you want to continue running scripts on this page?".
Any help would be appreciated. As mentioned, it is very frustrating.

I have the same exact problem as SandyStill. It tries to print, ejects plain paper and nothing pending in the printer. I am running a Dell XP Pro, Adobe Reader 8.1.2, RAM-1G, and an HPDJ 6940 printer. Tried tech support with HP to no avail because everything else prints fine.
I've even tried some of the suggestions of another thread using the Microsoft Utility to remove Adobe and then download it again with no success.
Does anyone have a solution?

When i preview my templates its giving error

I'm doing reporting using PSQUERY and XML Publisher.
I have to upload a template before generating a report in XML Publiser.
I have created a template using word plugin downloaded. It got successfully installed as Addin Office 2007. when i'm running my report from PIA it is generatig output but when i'm trying to preview it from Office2007(MS Word) its giving strange errors.....

When i load the sample data and preview the report.
Its saying cannot find path C:\PROGRA~1\Oracle\XML
I have identified that this path is pointing to XML Publisher Desktop folder and it's unable to read the folder name, so i have reinstalled the application and changed the folder name to XMLPublisherDesktop which doesnt have any spaces in folder name.
After changing the folder name,It's letting me run the report template from Peoplesoft front end from Query report viewer, but still its not allowing me to preview the template from word application.

Text to the right is cut off on print/preview of web pages

I' still like to print out information from your web site about hot topics (like your recent articles about BPEL), so a long flight will get more interesting..
However the text to the right is cut off when printing (using IE6 on WinXP). It seems that the formatting requires a minimum width.
I would also prefer to see the "print view" link at the top of an article and not at the bottom.

Stefan....this problem sometimes occurs with articles containing wide code samples. Can you please provide the specific problem URLs?
We are aware that the "Print View" functionality is less visible than it could be; unfortunately, moving it to the top of the page isn't as straightforward as it seems. We're working on it.

SAP CRM 7.0 Print Preview Functionality.

We are using the SAP CRM 7.0 system. But i am not able to get the functionality of print preview (webclient) whenever i am trying to print a Application Form that uses an SAPscript.
Can any one please help me on this issue.
It seems the system generates the error when "call dialog DISPLAY_OTF".
I get the following message in my print preview box:

I want to print preview an service order true transcation CRM_IU.
Then logged on to the webclient i open an service order then i click on the print preview button.
After this is select the option confirmation_letter (this is an application form with sapscript).
--> when i put breakpoints in the Function module: DISPLAY_OTF.
on the following points:
call function 'WS_QUERY' --> i get sy-subrc return 1? is this normal for print preview?
after that the system generates the message when the following is done:
      call dialog 'DISPLAY_OTF'                "ABAP-List-Preview
           exporting otf itcpp 0
           importing itcpp.

thanx for your support , here i need to know one thing that i had gone to MN06 to display the cond. record , here for the output type i m using in P.O
Given below different key comb. are maintained for same p.o , but as p.o was created then in message tab the first combination of fax was displayed and for this combi when clicking on print preview the message came for " Error in open _form " .
1) P doc type / P. org./ Vendor = Medium = 2 ( fax) / Date / time = 1 , is maintained
2) P Doc. Type / P.org / Pgrp = Medium = 1 / date/ time = 1 is maintained.
3) P Doc. Type / P.org =         Medium = 1 / date/ time = 1 is maintained
4)P org.                        =         Medium = 1 / date/ time = 3 is maintained
Here my querry is that as medium = 1 ( print output ) is also maintain then why Other comb, were not triggered , why only Comb. for medium -=2 ( fax ) was trigered , and after that as i changed the medium to 1 , i m able to see print preview , why ?
why i m not able to see p prwe for medium 2 ?

hi all,
i am seeing the print preview in tcode recpa520, giving company code,f8,press print preview. i am seeing the invoice print preview,i want to find the output type,application type,form name for this.in this tcode there i no messages option to see the output type.
recpa520 is tcode for invoice correspondence. can any body help me how to find the script name,output type,application type for this.

Hi Siva,
 Can you tell me please, wheather its a "Z" driver program or Standard driver program.
 After execution of the program/transaction code go for systems> then for Status> then you can find the program name. You can go into that and search for the Open_form. Before Open form set the BreakPoint there you can find the form name which will pass during run time through variable.
 other option is that go for NACE transaction and see for routine, for example If it is invoice then it will be Billing. select your that area and click on Output type button. there you can see the output types You can go in that and see for program and form name, then you can confirm the output type.

Can any one tell me from where i can see the print preview option with out giving the check print every time.

Hi,
In the Output Control block in FBZ5, check the Test printout Option, An overview list will be generated, click on that, it will take you to spool requese, there when u click on the document under Type, u can see the preview..
But the spool request created should be deleted manually if you dont want to take the printout, if you want the printout u can print it from the spool itself..
