Print Preview of PO before saving .

Dear Experts ,
Is it possible to view a print preview of a PO after  just checking the PO & before saving it ??
If yes pls let me know how ?
Regards
Anis

Hi Anis,
yes, you can view a PO in print preview in ME21N before saving it but the following are pre-requisities:
1 - There are valid messages defined for the PO - check by clicking on 'Messages' at the top of the screen. So long as there is a message defined, you can display, if not, add the output type that you would like to use (NEU for example).
2 - The output type must be pointing correctly to a printer or valid e-mail address (for e-mail outputs)
3 - You must have access to transaction ME9F in authorisations - although you are not navigating to ME9F, you will still need the access
If these things are OK, click on print preview and you will get an image of what the printed document will look like.

  • Print Preview gone!

I have updated my system to OS X Maverick and have lost the ability to "print preview" my files before saving. I frequently save files as jpeg files, as well as pdf. I have found that many of our flyers print better when saved as a jpeg but since the print preview option has been eliminated, I cannot save anything as a jpeg. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the Export Dialog in Preview:
There is no Print Preview as the PDF Services “Open PDF in Preview” does the same thing.
Save As now does what you’d expect it to do in that it saves a copy with another name.
Export will allow you to convert a document into something else.
There is something broken on their system if a PDF doesn’t print as it is displayed. That is the whole purpose of PDF.

  • Print Preview Invoice Before Save

    Hello,
We have a requirement to preview the invoice print in transaction VF01, before the actual SAVE. This scenario is to present the opportunity to the user to back out of saving the invoice if something is incorrect.

  • Prin preview of item text before saving PO

    Hello,
when I create a PO I can use the print preview of the PO before actually creating/saving the PO. However if I do this I can't see the item text. The item text is only visible in the print preview after the PO is saved.
Do you know if it is possible to change this so I can see the item text before saving in teh print preview?
    Thanks
    Sofia

You need to take ABAPer help and see the Print pre-view parameters maintained for the Script/Smartform for the PO Output Type you are using..
If possible try to include the Item text into those parameters..
As far as I know only for MEDRUCK script, we can see the print pre-view..

    Hi Crushed,
Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

  • Images turn greyscale when saving Postscript/PDF or Print Preview but text remains in colour?

It is in colour, until I turn on Overprint preview, or try to save the booklet as a Postscript or PDF file.
In print preview or when doing any of the above things, it goes to greyscale but the text and rectangles remain in colour?
The images have been placed from Photoshop as eps files and were duatone in PS.
    Please help.

As both the engineering resource at Adobe most involved with end-to-end PDF print publishing workflows and having served at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo last year as an Industry Research Professor teaching students about modern, reliable workflows as well as variable data publishing with PDF, I find this thread fascinating.
Obviously, you can force fit PostScript for output, albeit very inconveniently and with the possibility of problems and artifacts due to the device-dependent nature of PostScript (along with flattened transparency, lack of ICC color management, and inconsistencies in spot color handling).
However, unless the university assignment was specifically to demonstrate to you how difficult and problematic PostScript-based workflows were over a dozen years ago, I am absolutely appalled that any accredited university or professional school program in design / graphic arts / publishing / printing would have you use PostScript workflows in any way.
Other than hacking around with the possibility of doing output that varies based on external variables as the job is being RIPed, I know of absolutely no advantages of PostScript over PDF in this arena and obviously a boatload of disadvantages.
As I have written many times in the past, I wouldn't advocate that publishers with extensive collections of EPS-based content do wholesale conversions of same, but for new content or when content needs revision, PDF is definitely the replacement for EPS or PostScript in any flavor.

  • Change paper size before selecting print preview

I want to change Paper Size prior to selecting Print Preview. That is not possible in Firefox. Can Paper Size options be added to Page Setup and/or Print Preview? Please fix.

You might be able to set that thru your Printer Preferences, so look there from within Firefox first. {Ctrl + P} then hit the Properties button, on the Paper Tab you should be able to set the Paper Size.
If not, give this a try:
type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
    Pref Name = print.printer_your_printer_name.print_paper_height - 11.00
    and print.printer_your_printer_name.print_paper_width - 8.50
Is that what you see? If you see those "Letter" measurements, try re-setting the main pref, and let Firefox reacquire the info from your OS.
    in about:config
    Preference name = print.print_printer
Right-Click and select Reset, then restart Firefox.

  • I bypassed my server and print directly to my printer via TC/IP but for some pages I get printing that looks like Greek. If I go to print preview first it is okay. I did not have this problem before.

The above is the best I can do.

There is an unresolved Bug in Firefox that can cause that to occur. If it doesn't happen when you print from the Print Preview window, you'll have to print from the Preview window every time you print from Firefox - until that Bug is fixed. That is a regression that appeared when Firefox 3 was being developed - and was reported almost 3 years ago - the developers haven't come up with a fix for it yet.

  • Why does Print Preview of a .eml file recursively open the same .eml file? I can't print it.

Hello. I saved an email from my IMAP account locally to file as offlineemail.eml. When I try to open the .eml file later in Thunderbird, it opens up ok, no problem. When I do Print Preview just before sending it to my printer, two windows pop up. In the background is the first window, the Preview itself. However, it only shows "about:blank" in the Preview body. In the foreground, a window with Title: Opening offlineemail.eml. Body: You have chosen to open: offlineemail.eml which is: eml document (27.9 KB) from: /tmp. What should Thunderbird do with this file? [Radio button] Open with [dropdown] Thunderbird (default); [Radio button] Save file; [Checkbox unchecked] Do this automatically for files like this from now on. [Push buttons] Cancel Ok. The Ok button remains greyed out until I click one of the radio buttons. I click Open with Thunderbird, the Ok button is now active, and I click Ok. Here, the same email opens up just fine again in a separate Thunderbird window. I do a Print Preview, and this whole paragraph of steps is repeated. I never see the preview. Any ideas why this would be? My Thunderbird version: 31.3.0. My OS: linux openSUSE 13.1"Bottle". File manager: Thunar 1.6.3 for the XFCE desktop.

Here's the Audit Space Usage for the original 5 MB file. It shows the images taking up the majority of the space, as expected:

  • PO print preview displays incorrect setting in decimal places

    Dear Experts
Please help me on the following condition.
I have a problem in print preview of a PO. It displays the incorrect setting for decimal place in currency.
It shows USD 1.404,00 whereby the amount should be USD 1,404.00
This only happens to a certain vendor that is doing PO for the first time from that country
    Example:
I'm creating a PO for vendor 123. Vendor 123 is located in country A. No PO has been created for any
vendor in country A before. When I saved my PO, in print preview, the decimal setting is not correct.
But when I'm creating another PO, for vendor 234. Vendor 234 is located in country B. There have been
several POs created for vendors in country B before. When I saved my PO, in print preview, the decimal
    setting is correct.
Both vendor 123 and vendor 234 is using currency of USD.
Is there any other setting with the vendor master in regard with the currency decimal setting for each
country for the vendor? Or something that I've missed out?
    Diagnosis:
I've checked with the user profiles->default-> decimal notation. It displays 1,234,567.89 correctly
I've also run OY04, but the decimal setting is correct.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Syukri

this has nothing to do with print preview, it is just basic country setting (OY01) how a quantity and value is written on a PO to a vendor is country xyz.
German uses to comma to seperate decimals, while USA uses the point to seperate decimals
this would be the German version 1.404,00, and this the US version:: 1,404.00
so if an American sends a PO to a German vendor, then the document will show 1.404,00 so that the German can understand that he wants 1404. (and not 1000 times less)

  • ME21N User Exit to automatically display the print preview

    Hi All
Does anyone know of way to invoke the Purchase Order Print Preview Option <u>automatically</u> once the user selects the save button as part of the ME21N transaction ?
This is required so that the end user must perform a visual check on the PO just before the purchase order is saved.
We are already the standard print preview button working in ME21N.
    Thanks
    Donnacha

    Hi Donnacha!
Pravat pinned out the main problem: when you want to display something before saving, then it's anything else but not the printout of the PO. The printout goes for the saved values - but you require a display before saving. So you have to develop a complete own display (which can be done of course).
