Unable to print or print preview with limited financial license

Hello Friends,
I am working with a rev 9 Business One client who has a limited financial license. He connects to B1 through RDP. When he attempts to print or print preview he gets the message "You are not permitted to perform this action." and the button "Authorize by another user". Which we can do to print (example, the A/R Aging report).
I have searched the Authorizations and found nothing related to printing.
Any thoughts appreciated.

A print preview is not offered by the current HP software as older software versions provided.
A preview is only available if the application you are printing from include a such, it is not provided by the printer driver itself.

This noon I could print preview with no problems, now when I print preview, I get the menu bar but bleow that is black

I always do a print preview to find out how many "real" pages there are so that I can determine what need to be printed 2-sided. Print preview worked fine between 11 AM and 1 PM. Later this afternoon I did a property search by neighborhood on the cook county (Illinois) assessor's website and tried to print the results. In print preview, I accessed the Setup and changed all margins to 0.5 and portrait orientation. The screen below the print preview menu went black. After a re-start of my XP laptop, starting FireFox and doing a print preview yields the same results. Clicking on "setup" gives me another black window that is wider than my laptop screen.
What's going on and how do I fix this?

Try to reset the related print prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.

Printing problem with DocFlavor.SERVICE_FORMATTED RENDERABLE_IMAGE

Does anyone use javax.print for printing ?
I wanted to print the content of a JPanel, so a created a RenderableImage implementation, but my problem is that my EPSON Stylus Color C60 seems to not support this DocFlavor !
So I had to use a PRINTABLE, that is not a good thing since it is the same as java.awt.print.Printable : you should trick and workaround with scaled AffineTransform and disabled double-buffering when asking for the print.
So if anyone succeed in using javax.print to print BufferedImage, please tell me (tutorial,....)

I've worked hard to print a complex Gantt chart using both javax.print and java.awt.print packages. As I've to use only Postscript printers, I've implemented Printable and Pageable interfaces instead of RenderableImage. However, the results has been very good, including the zoom feature implemented using the Graphics2D' scale method.

Mac with Lion OX, in print preview with PDF, only page 1 comes correctly, the rest misses some portion rest not

I have iMac desktop with Lion OS. I am using Firefox 6 web browser. Previously with Snowleopard OS I did not have any problems with printing, With Lion OS print commands have changed and when I click preview in PDF format for printing a web page, only page 1 of the document shows correctly. In second page, the text does not show all of the document and few lines at the boundary is missing and the font is different from page 1. I tried using Google Chrome browser and this does not have this problem. If I do not find a solution I may be forced to move to Google Chrome. I will really appreciate a response. Thanks.

Why not reconstruct the pages in InDesign they way you want the double pages to appear. There may even be an imposition script available that will do the trick. You could then output to pdf all the pages you want the full spread on. Leave the original to create the pages you wanted left as is.
You can ask in the ID forum about an imposition script. I know there was one with CS4, there may have been one with CS3.

Printing preview with adobe pro or acrobat reader

When I print a document I generally use the Preview button to check what the document looks like.
Is it normal that with Adobe Pro or Reader the Preview buttons returns the following comment "preview is not supported".

Yes, that seems like the expected behavior - I am not exactly sure why Adobe does this, but it happens here too.
If it's important, you could ask on the Adobe site or send feedback to Apple asking why this occurs.

Print Preview with in the browsers

Is it possible that we view the pdf Print with in the browsers instead of a seprate file. If yes how?

Hello Syed,
navigate to the print tab of report definition page. There is an option called content disposition.
At the moment I think you have selected Attachement and that's why the browser shows the open/save-dialog.
Select Inline and you should get the behaviour you want.

I am not able to print or to do a print preview with firefox 5. The problem happens with my Xerox Laser printer and also with Bullzip PDF printer. All prints are white with the printer and empty with the PDF printer.

I have a Phaser 6280DN and Bullzip (PDF virtual printer). They work perfectly with firefox 4 and with other application on my notebook running Windows Vista. But I am not able to print with firefox 5. All prints are white or empty. My notebook is a Dell Vostro 1710 with 3GB RAM and 500GB HD.

Purchase contract print preview is displaying items with DEL_IND='X'

We are using SRM Server 5.5 and have a situation described below
A purchasing contract is created with, for example, 2 items with status as 'Held' . In change mode, the one item is deleted and the purchasing contract is Released.
When the button 'Output Preview' is pressed, the system displays the print preview with both the irems although one item is deleted.
I am trying to find SAP notes for this but I didn't find any relavent note.
I found one note for not displaying 'Inactive' status items however not found anything for excluding deleted items from print preview.
Appreciate your inputs on this.

Yes, you are correct we are using custom developed smart form and not SAP Standard. We will be updating the smartform for adding the condition of u201Cselect items with deletion indicator=u2019Blanku2019.
However we are interested in the standard solution that SAP has provided to cover this. I don't see this condition in SAP standard smart form so this must have been covered through some program code.
Does anybody have idea on this.

Problem with window.close() and print preview in IE

Hi all,
In IE, when window.close() or self.close() is executed, the window is closing perfectly. But when after opening a print preview window from file menu in IE and after closing the print preview with [X] button, then the window.close() is not working. Is there any solution to close the window even after closing the print preview window? here is the sample code.

Canon printer / unable to print a brcode / print preview ..

After all those sdn searching and googling i still not in the correct way
Barcode is not getting displayed in either print preview or in print output .
1. SAPSCRIPT-BARCODETEST - (so10) standard text is displaying barcode in atleast in print preview .
2. *In smartform *is displaying barcode in print preview .
3. In sap scripts unable to get print preview . (Wt am lookin for )
4. Printer device / output types is perfect .
If i could atleast see a print preview with barcode that would atleast solve ma issue ..
Tried with several sdn ways .and . tired of installing barode s/ws and barcode.dll
Printer is canon IR 3570 ..

does the canon IR 3570 support barcodes (or through your .dll or whatever)?
If so, did you correctly define your barcode in SAPScript as a character format? Did you choose/insert the barcode name in the barcode field? In the layout, do you have the character format and barcode field?. In the example below, a barcode B3, described of 3of9 would output the barcode in the ITEM_LINE element:

Page printing issue with smartform PO

Hi Super-Techies,
I have created a z print program for my purchase order smartform. But the issue I am facing now is that when i try to view the purchase order from transaction me23n -> print preview ( with 15 items). I am getting output as a single page with 10 items on it. The rest 5 items are not being displayed. I mean the page is not getting printed from 2nd page onwards.
What could be the issue??? Can anyone suggest me.

Hi,
As said above, I have used table instead of template and the data is flowinf to next pages.
BUt now the issue is that in the last page suppose if there are only 5 items, than the window border prints after 5 items. It is not good while print preview as there is a blank space created in form (for the rest 5 items which are not being used).
I want to fix the main window border irrespective of the line items.
Whats advice on this issue.

2010 Excel print preview moves checkboxes

Good day, we have recently received new Sony Vaio's with 64x arch and 2010 microsoft office 64x. In some of my excel workbooks i have check boxes that when checked shade the corresponding cell, in office 2007 it worked great. But now when I select
multiple tabs to view in print preview(with a ricoh printer as the default printer), the checkboxes in SOME of worksheets move to the left and up, and changes the layout on each worksheet after you exit the print preview, (the check boxes move to the left
and get smaller),basically ruining the document and if I do a print preview with Adobe PDF as the printer it does not ruin the layout.
Can anyone help with this issue. Ricoh has had me change to lanier drivers and still nothing has helped yet.

I have the same problem.
I tried all of the suggestions above (unhide objects, repair, hot fix and printer drivers) and these did not work.
The only way to fix the problem for me was to move back to Excel 2007 (with service pack 2).
This fixed all the problems I was having. I have provided some detail below about the problem and what steps I took to analyse and fix in the hope that this may help resolve the problem in Excel 2010.
Background:
I have a spreadsheet originally created in Excel 2002.
It contains a number of List Boxes, Scroll Bars and Drop Down boxes.
On upgrading to Excel 2010 and converting the file to an .xlsm I encountered a number of problems with these controls, including the problem described above.
Note, I upgraded straight to 2010 not via 2007.
My development system is Vista, Office 2010 and a Cannon MP830 printer.
The problem:
As described above if I do a print or print preview the controls get smaller and move left.
Each time I repeat the print or print preview the size gets smaller and the controls move further left.
I also have two controls that move significantly upwards (as they are well down the sheet), suggesting that the movement is actually proportionally up and left (each time I do a print or print preview).
I tried the suggested fixes above (unhide objects, repair, hot fix and printer drivers).
None of these fixed the problem.
Observations:
1) This problem only happens if I print or print preview with more than one worksheet selected.
If I print or print preview with a single worksheet, the problem does not occur.
2)
I tested the same spreadsheet in Excel 2007 on a different machine (running XP 2002 SP3 and a different printer) and the problem did not occur.
3)
I tested the spreadsheet on a different system running Excel 2010 (XP 2002 SP3) with a different printer and the problem still occurred.
4)
I removed Office 2010 from my development machine and installed Office 2007 and this fixed all problems (see other problems below).
I also needed to install service pack 2 for Office 2007 as 2007 had a known problem handling .xlsm files containing macros.
Without SP2 the spreadsheet stopped working totally as the macros were disabled by Excel.
SP2 fixed this problem.
The above clearly suggests that this is an Excel 2010 problem, is not a problem in 2007 and does not seem to be OS or Printer dependent.
Other problems:
Just to complete the story, the other problems I had with controls after upgrading to 2010 are:
1) Some of the Scroll bars and Drop Down Boxes gained a shadow.
This did not happen to all just some. I could find no way to remove the shadow and had to delete the control and create fresh controls.
The controls did not have a shadow in the 2002 version.
2)
When selecting an item from within a list box, the border of the list box moves slightly (like a nudge).
It returns to its original position but the move looks strange.
This movement does not happen if the zoom for the sheet is set at 100% but any other zoom shows the movement.
I have not been able to fix this other than to keep the zoom at 100% (a work around).
This problem does not occur in Excel 2007.
I hope this helps with the analysis, understanding and resolution of the problem as I am struck and will have to revert to 2007 if this problem cannot be resolved in 2010 (and
will need to advise my clients to stay away from 2010).

Dump in PO print preview

Hi Experts!
When i see the print preview with the standard output type NEU it works fine.
But when i use some Z message type it will show the preview.
When i press back button after the PO preview and come back to message type pop-up screen(In case of multiple message type).
At the pop-up screen if i press any button it will give the short dump.
if i use single message type attached. it will give the dump at the back button itself at the preview screen.
Error description -
