Print prob: system cannot print the last number of columns of the report

Hi, im having trouble printing my report with more than the standard screen size. i want to print the report in a specific font size, so i created a customized page format. however, it does not print the succeeding columns of the report. what should i do? thanks

Received answer directly from SQL*Plus Development:
"sqlplus does not have a limit on the number of columns it displays."
They created a table with more than 256 columns with data and had no problem retrieving the data.

Error: "The system cannot find the file specified" when trying to print to PDF w/ Acrobat 9.5

I get an Error: "The system cannot find the file specified" when trying to print to PDF w/ Acrobat 9.5 using Windows 7. This just started happening after upgrading to MS 2013 suite and also installed Adobe Reader at that same time.
I had problems in the past when Reader was installed with Acrobat, so I uninstalled Reader, but the problem still seems to occur.

Follow the steps below and check if that resolve the issue:
1. Open Mcafee software, from the Virus and Spyware Protection section click on Schedule and run scans. Click on Real time scanning and then on Turn Off. select till I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the Turn Off button.
Now try reinstalling the HP Software and check if the installation goes as expected.
If the issue persists run the following tool:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/datfileremover/installdatfileclean.exe
And then run the installation file and check for any difference

Cannot print the report on Window 7 64 bit

Hi all,
I try to print the report using Print icon on Crystal Report Viewer but it does not print out and no error display. Any idea how to fix it? Is it a bug when print on Window 7 64 bit OS? Thanks.

DPM Backups Fail on File Server, (ID 2033 Details: The System Cannot Find the File Spedcified (0x80070002)

I've found a few treads and posts related to this error, but none of the answers seem to work. I have DPM 2010 U7 server backing up my file server (Server 2008 R2). The backup of the D: Drive(which hosts all shares) is failing with the following error:
Affected area: D:\Occurred since: 4/23/2014 11:15:26 AMDescription: The replica of Volume D:\ on XXXXX.XXX.XX is inconsistent with the protected data source. All protection activities for data source will fail until the replica is synchronized with consistency check. You can recover data from existing recovery points, but new recovery points cannot be created until the replica is consistent. For SharePoint farm, recovery points will continue getting created with the databases that are consistent. To backup inconsistent databases, run a consistency check on the farm. I've ran SFC /SCANNOW on both servers, rebooted. Ran chckdsk /f on the D: on the file server, rebooted again. Still having the same issue. The BMR and System State backups run just fine, along with the backup of the C:
I am getting the following error on the file server for volsnap.
The shadow copies of volume D: were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time. Consider reducing the IO load on the system or choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied.
Which caused me to try moving the shadow copy storage to the C:, but then it just fails with the following error. Which makes since as the C drive is 136GB, while the D drive is 27TB.
The shadow copies of volume D: were aborted because the shadow copy storage failed to grow.
Lastly I deleted the entire replica and recreated the protection, with no luck. I tried to just slowly create the replica by adding one small parts at a time, currently its failing while trying to backup ~300GB.
I've checked the VSS Writiers on the file server, everything looks correct. Here is the print out.

It is strange that the issue still exists after recreating backup.
Please try again to clear all replica, and specifically, move the folder involved in this error to another location such as Drive C and see if issue still exists.
Meanwhile please test if Windows Server Backup works or not.

This is only a simple sales receipt application that uses dgv and textboxes to push its data to dataset to the crystal report, a simple one but there are instances that it is very slow.
But I'm having trouble implementing this using SSRS, since I'm only new to this one, wherein I created the report using report wizard, with two button options inside the form for print preview or direct print selection. Actually, it is very easy to implement
with print preview because it uses reportviewer. My problem is that how can I print the report directly without using a reportviewer?

Outlook 2010 - sending mail with attachment - "The system cannot find the file specified"

Hi forum Fellows,
I have the following failure scenario:
1. A user receives an e-mail with an attachment.
2. The user opens the attachment --> Forwards the mail and writes something in the body of the e-mail
3. For whatever reason the user leaves the e-mail and works on something else --> the user comes back to the e-mail an hour or more later.
4. The user then wants to send the e-mail but gets the following error message: "The system cannot find the file specified"
5. The effect is that the user cannot send the e-mail.....
------------------------------ TROUBLESHOOTING -----------------------
- I can see that when the user opens an attachment this attachment is saved in the OutlookTemp folder. Actually, there is a difference between opening the attachment before or after clicking forward on the e-mail.
---- Before: Two files is written to the OutlookTemp folder. For example if the attachment name is FileX.pdf - there will be a FileX.pdf but also a FileX (2).pdf in the folder (if OutlookTemp is empty/do not contain a file with the name FileX.pdf already)
---- After: Only one file is written to OutlookTemp. That is FileX.pdf
- Running Process Monitor when trying to forward the e-mail I can see that Outlook is calling a file that is not in the OutlookTemp folder anymore.
**** To me this is the heart of the issue. For some reason, when a user has an e-mail with an attachment open for an extended period of time (not sure on exactly how long is necessary), files in the OutlookTemp folder is deleted - files that Outlook is depending
on to be there.
- Going with a totally clean OutlookTemp folder does not help.

- The question now is: Is this by design? Can it be fixed by some Outlook 2010 patch? Or perhaps a group policy/registry setting as a workaround.

Hello Red Baron,
Although not a complete answer, the way to treat attachments in emails require some discipline:
1. Never open an attachment directly from the email (and NEVER edit it from there). Always save it in a known location as the desktop or (better) in a designated document folder. Then you can proceed as usual, like editing the contents, printing, forwarding
the new version etc.
2. Directly forwarding the attachment is ok, along with additional text in the body of the email.
3. Having any (unsaved) document open for several hours should
never occur. What if there is a power outage?
Bottom line is thus Discipline. This is regardless of Operating System (which might handle temporary files differently).
These are the rules I teach my customers and they never leave any document unsaved for hours ...

Exporting ReportDocument fills up memory, then throws "The system cannot find the file specified"

When exporting a perfectly viable ReportDocument to pdf like this:

A similar problem seems to be discussed here: CR2008 - "The system cannot find the path specified", but the difference is there's no errors in my formula's. The report gets displayed and printed out fine. It's just the exporting that does not work. Any ideas about how to fix this?

You cannot export using MemoryStream - you have to use IOStream.

Error "The system cannot find the path specified" after upgrading to R2

Hi guys,
I upgrade from SP1 CU3 to R2 and since then I can not display images, I get the error:
Failed to run the action: Instalar Windows y Configuration Manager.
The system cannot find the path specified. (Error: 80070003; Source: Windows)
just finished restart after applying the operating system. I installed all the updates, I delete and add the pxe point and nothing. The fact is that I have other tasks to capture using the same step and works fine. The hardware is a Virtual Machine
de vmware.
If anyone has ever happened or can help would be grateful. Sorry for my English.

There is a workaround:
Wait until you get to the point where you select the task sequence
Hit “F8” to open the command prompt
Type “diskpart” and hit return
Type “select disk 0” and hit return
Type “list volume” and see if the CD/DVD drive has a drive letter of C:\ or D:\. If it does move to step 6, otherwise close the command prompt and begin the staging otherwise.
Type “select volume X” (where X is the volume number of the CD/DVD drive) and hit return
Type “assign letter=e” and hit return (if the E:\ is already taken up use the next available letter)
Type “list volume” and hit return to ensure the new drive letter is active
Close down the command prompt and begin staging

Error message "The system cannot find the file specified." when reinstalling C3180 drivers

Hello,
I experienced scanning problems with my C3180 and the error message indicated several solutions, including to reinstall the driver.
I worked my way through the list of fixes to this option. I uninstalled the drivers, downloaded
File name:
AIO_CDA_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe [1/1, 290.27M]
from www.hp.com/support and attempted to install.
Just after the accept licensing screen, the system begins a screen with four steps, the first of which is Checking System. Shortly after starting this, I receive the error message "The system cannot find the file specified.". The file name may be in the message header, but I cannot determine it due to the path length. It is off the displayed screen. (see screen image capture)
Closing the pop-up error message or clicking OK terminates the installation.
I am re-installing on a Dell Latitude E6510, running Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit. The printer was connected via USB, but I have disconnected for this stage of the install.
I appreciate any assistance/advice you can offer.

i have a jsp with the codes as follows:

the dev server is running on P drive.
tried installing tomcat 4.0 on my com and the code runs well.
could there be other sources tt i miss out causing the error?

Most probably the server has a different path setup from you.
Instead of hardcoding the full file path into your app, you should have the following
ServletContext application = getServletConfig().getServletContext();
String fileName = application.getRealPath("/account.xml");
File f = new File(fileName);The method ServletContext.getRealPath takes a WEBSITE relative link, and turns it into a real location on disk.
This makes your code completely independant of what machine it is installed on.

[COMException (0x80004005): The system cannot find the path specified.

VS2008 and Crystal reports on 2003 Server running IIF.
When I try to use the buttons, Print or Export to PDF, we get the following error:
A little background, we have move all the crystal reports to what we call a report loader where the loader treverses the SQL tables and inserts the correct connection string to the SQL data server. Before doing the move, the Export worked but the printing did not work.
After the change now neither Export or Print works. Sames error message.

You do not say which version of Crystal Reports you are using, so the registry key may be different for whichever version you have.

PrintOutputController::ExportEx - The system cannot find the path specified

I just converted our code from using an older Crystal Reports API for creating PDFs and print jobs (ExportToDisk() and PrintToPrinter()) to using the RAS methods. Now, when calling PrintOutputController::ExportEx(), occassionally the code generates an exception.
Our log file contains the following lines:

We're running Crystal Reports 2008 SP4 on a Windows 2003 server (virtual server).

The only thing I can suggest is to try to add some additional logging to your application to see if you can see a pattern of which report/parameters are being used when this error is thrown.

HI All,I have joined this forum recently. I found this forum so helpful. I have one query which is: I am using crystal report 10 with Dot Net 1.1, I have created one web report which consists of 19 pages. Once i press the print button on the report after previewing it shows me the error reporting screen of windows. I have checked in event viewer it gives me the following error detail:The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Microsoft Internet Explorer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: iexplore.exe, 6.0.2800.1106, printcontrol.dll, 10.0.0.533, 0003bb45. Can any one helps me as i am totally stuck in that. Thanks in advance.

Try the following if your printer is a network printer
1. Add Printers - select Local Printer
2. In the Add Printer wizard, select "create a new port" option and select "TCP/IP" as type
3. Write the IP address of the network printer in the "Add standard TCP/IP Printer Port wizard". The port name becomes IP_<ip addr>. Click Next.
4. Select the printer and printer type in "Add Printer" wizard.
5. Select a driver and Write a printer name. This completes the setup. Use this printer name to print from Oracle reports.

"REP-1849: Failed while printing"
Reports Server is not installed on my machine.
On shared printer, it has no problems.
Platform is Win2000. Report Builder 6.0.8.11.3
