Print Que starts, idles and stops with USB printers

I'm trying to print to a HP C3150 USB printer from a G4 laptop with 10.4.9. I print any file, it starts, idles and stops. It also does this with my Dymo 330. I reset the print que several times, repaired the disk permissions, reboot everything and reinstalled my USB printers with the most current drivers available and it still does the same thing. I am able to print to network printers via ethernet without problems. I grabbed current text from Console Utilty application to see if anyone has a solution:

  Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Two generic things to try:
Download the 10.4.9 Combo updater from Apple and re-update with that.
Reset Printing System, a menu choice in Printer Setup; then restart the Mac and re-Add the printer(s).
If these don't work, we're talking reinstall OS X using the Archive & Install option in the installer.

  • If I have manually set "Start Time" and "Stop Time" for songs, and my hard drive is backed up in Time Machine, when files/songs are transferred on new hard drive, will my "Start Time" "Stop Time" options be there?

    My Macbook Pro will be going in for reimaging and my hard drive will be wiped, I want to know if all my iTunes preferences will be copied if I have backed them up on Time Machine. Specifically, if I have set certain "Start Time" and "Stop Time" for my songs, and I copy my iTunes library, will these "Start Time" and "Stop Time" options remain or will I have to manually set them one by one once again? I need a reply ASAP! Thanks so much!

    As far as I'm aware the start & stop times are stored in the library database, not the media files. If you backup/restore/transfer the whole library then the settings are included. If you create a complete copy of your iTunes folder on another drive you can connect to that copy by holding down option/alt as you start iTunes so you can check that everything is working properly before you send the Macbook away.

  • Control DC Motor (start and stop) with LabView

    I never used Lab View before. For a project, we have to use Lab View to make a small dc motor (HP:1/2, RPM 1725) start, and stop. I have no idea how to do this. Any advice/help anyone? Any tutorial or vi. would help!

    Hi there,
    Search for “H-bridge” for a common DC motor control circuit, the input terminals from the bridge can be controlled using any DAQ device with digital output lines from LabVIEW. For example: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-17062

    any example or material.
    i shall be very grateful to u
    thanks

    Hi,
    It depends on what type of driver you are using, and how that driver communicates with you printer.
    There are lost of different ways LabVIEW can interface with external hardware, either using all libary function node, ActiveX, .NET, etc.  It all depends on what type of driver you are using.

  • Iphoto starts when iphone connected with usb to Macbook

    After I upgraded to Yoesmite, I have a problem with Iphoto and Iphone. Iphoto starts whenever my Iphone is connected with USB to my MacbookPro.
    I often use USB connection so that my Iphone is charged while working outside my home. So it is quite annoying that Iphoto starts up everey time I connect mye Iphone with USB. I want to work and is not interested in Iphoto to clutter up my work and memory usage.
    What can I do to prevent Iphoto from loading.

    Yes all you have to do is open iPhoto on Macbook & select iPhoto Menu Preferences>Connecting Camera opens: "select" NO Application.
    Now if you want to send photos from your iPhone & you have iCloud-photos sync turned off, you'll have to open iPhotos & re-select iPhotos
    in Preferences again.

  • HT1338 I updated my MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and now it is starting slow and opening with some of the programs. How can I fix the problem?

    I updated my MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and now it is slow in starting up and loads a number of probrams. How can I fix the problem?

    Have you tried starting in Safe Mode and see if the slowness still occurs?
    Restart holding the "shift" key.
    (Expect it to take longer to start this way because it runs a directory check first.)
    If this works look in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items and delete any third party login items (-), you can always add them back with the (+). Also look in /Library/Startup Items. Nothing is put in that folder by default, so anything in there is yours.
    Reboot normally and test.

  • How to generate a waveform (with changeable update rate and sample) with USB 6008

    Apologize about my awful English.
    In Tradition DAQ I can set different update rate with "AO Start" vi.
    Transform into USB-6008 device things turn into quite different.
    I don't know which vi I can setup update rate.
    Is there any example for this.
    THX a lot!

    Hello D.
    To use the USB-6008, you need to download DAQmx Base driver from the web at http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/CE3686A8D5B0CEDC86256FFD007C9C4A?opendocument&node=132070_US .
    The driver will install with example programs that you can access by going to Start->Pograms->National Instruments->DAQmxBase->Examples. You new to have LabVIEW 7.x to use this driver.

    hi
    I wrote a script that stops and start oracle. the connection to the db was done : sqlplus "as sysdba".
    The script works fine if oracle user runs it. however, I need another user to run this script also. The script does not run with this user even though I added it to the oracle group.
    any idea please?

    try the -c option with the su like this:
    su - oracle "-c scriptyouwrote.sh"
    greetings

  • Could not Set Xmonad to Work Starts and Stops With a Black Screen

    Folks I've installed xmonad here. So I edited 2 files:
    cat .xinitrc
    #exec startkde
    #exec ck-launch-session gnome-session
    # set the cursor
    xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr
    # set German keyboard layout
    setxkbmap -layout br
    exec ck-launch-session xmonad
    exec xmonad
    and
    cat .xmonad/xmonad.hs
    import XMonad
    main = do
    xmonad $ defaultConfig
    { terminal = myTerminal
    , modMask = myModMask
    , borderWidth = myBorderWidth
    -- yes, these are functions; just very simple ones
    -- -- that accept no input and return static values
    myTerminal = "urxvt"
    myModMask = mod4Mask -- Win key or Super_L
    myBorderWidth = 3
    Thou when I start xmonad all I get is a black screen. What am I missing?

    Three options:
    1. Call AppleCare.
    2. Go to an Apple Store.
    3. Go to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP)
