Print screen instrument display

I am doing instrument control for 89441A VSA using a GPIB cable. I searched through the instrument drivers but found nothing that can be used. Is there any way to print screen whatever that is on the display and display it on the vi?

I don't have an Agilent 89441A, but I found the command reference manual here. It looks like TRACe[ATA] (the query form, which transfers trace data to your computer) may be what you're looking for.  Other commands that could be of interest are HCOPyATA?, HCOPy[:IMMediate], MMEMoryTORe:TRACe.  Good luck!

Could someone please explain in layman terms how I resolve this issue? Print screen does not operate in any web based windows. There is no problem with Print Screen when using Microsoft applications, e.g. Word.

  • Outlook doesn't display print screens images sent in my inbox from other people

    Hi,
I am using a MacBook Air. My professional Outlook never displays print screens images sent from time to time by other colleagues (they all use PC's with Windows OS), i instead have a little blue question mark icon.
Do i need to download a specific plugin to display those print screens? Could someone help me out with this please?
    Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, I have added the Page to the Workset, and also the IView to the Page.
If I set up a temporary workset, And assign the 2 objects to it (the IView and the Page), they appear as links at the top of my Portal. When I click the link assigned to the IView, the Inbox is shown. When I click the link assigned to the Page, it only shows a blank window instead of the Inbox.

  • How to Print Screen as a File on MacBook Pro Using Bootcamp 5.0 on Windows 8.1

I know print screen on a MBP is Shift + Fn + F11, but I want to print screen as a file. I tried Shift + Fn + F11 + Command but it doesn't work. Does Bootcamp support this feature?

In Windows, you can use a third-party application or a good solution would be to use the On-Screen keyboard included in Windows. That keyboard has got the Imp Pant key, that allows you to copy a screenshot of the whole display.
Then, open Paint and press Control and V keys to paste the screenshot. Finally, close Paint and save the screenshot as a file.
Note that third-party applications may offer you a faster way of doing that

  • How can I get a full print screen of a website

    Hi,
Is it possible to make a full printscreen of a webpage and insert this screenshot in Photoshop? I want to make a print screen of http://www.witshirtonline.nl and import the file into Photoshop so I can make some adjustments. Is this possible and if what is the best way to do this?
    Thanks alot

The Asset library does a pretty good job of hiding the full URL. An "asset" item is actually a folder. The folder contains the video and support files like preview thumbnails.
So, if you upload a video named butterfly.wmv to http://yourSite/sites/demo/Assets the path to the video would be http://yourSite/sites/demo/Assets/butterfly/butterfly.wmv. If the user changed the name while uploading the file to "Pretty bugs"
the URL would then be http://yourSite/sites/demo/Assets/Pretty%20Bugs/butterfly.wmv.
Probably the best way to explore these hidden folders and discover the "real" URL is to use SharePoint Designer 2013.
Launch SharePoint Designer and open your site.
In the Navigation area click "All Files". (If you don't see All Files then your administrators may have partially locked down SPD.)
In the list of files and folders click the Assets library.
Find and click your video (you will see the "Name" as entered in the file's properties, not the file name.)
Find the video file, right-click it and click Properties.
    Copy the Location.
If you just want to display the video in the page:
    Edit the page
    Click INSERT
    Click Web Part
From the Media and Content category select Media Web Part and click Add.
Edit the web part (click the web part's dropdown)
From the MEDIA ribbon click Change Media
Click From SharePoint and navigate to your assets library and pick a video

  • Photoshop Print Screen/Paste colors not working any more

System. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit with Adobe CS4
One thing I do all the time is this:
Have something like Windows Internet Explorer open on a web page.
I want a screen shot of Windows IE. So I press Ctrl-Alt-Print Screen.
Then I open Adobe Photoshop CS4 (11.0.2) and go File/New and accept all the defaults.
Then I press Ctrl-V to paste in the screen capture.
Pretty standard stuff and it used to work fine. But recently it stopped working. Now when I paste, the colors displayed in Photoshop for the screen capture are all off. However if I save the file as a GIF or something, and open the GIF outside of photoshop, it's all good.
I've tried all sorts of things to fix this. Nothing seems to work.
Anyone know what is really going on here? This seems to have happened after performing some Windows updates.

So how do I set up a "good custom monitor profile"?
This is why people calibrate and profile their monitors. If you had a calibrator this wouldn't be a problem (and they're not that expensive).
What you need is a profile that accurately describes the behavior of your particular monitor. Chances are the Dell profile does that better than sRGB, and a custom profile from a calibrator would be even better. Then Photoshop, which is color managed, will use that profile to display the image - but Internet Explorer, which is not (or not fully) color managed, will not use the profile.
So there will be a difference between the two right there, and Photoshop will be right, and IE wrong.
The way this works is similar to any other profile conversion, like when you convert a document from, say, Adobe RGB to sRGB. Photoshop converts from the document profile to the monitor profile, on the fly, as it displays the image. This way it compensates for the peculiarities of your monitor and what you see is what the file "really" looks like.
So you can see what happens if your document profile is sRGB, and your monitor profile is sRGB: nothing happens. No profile conversion, no color management. This way Photoshop behaves exactly as Internet Explorer does. Everything you see on-screen, color managed or not color managed, will match. But it won't be right. One way to simulate this (with a good monitor profile) is to proof to Monitor RGB.
As for the screenshot: when you paste that into a new document, the RGB numbers will refer to the monitor profile, not the document profile. This is why you assign the monitor profile to make it look like the original. Then you convert that to sRGB (or Adobe RGB etc) to bring it into a standard color space.

  • How do I load a print screen image into a picture indicator?

    Hi,
I am trying to load a printscreen image into a picture indicator without first saving it. I am currently doing it by acquiring and saving a print screen image, then reloading and displaying the bitmap file. This works, but it is not elegant and the colors are displayed wrong. (The SnapView.vi is from the G Toolbox for LabVIEW) Thanks for your help.

    Hello –
When you push the print screen button in your keyboard, the image is send (temporarily stored) to the clipboard.
You could call the Windows API to recover that image and send it to an indicator in the front panel. This Example Program can show you how to make Windows API calls; I think you might find it useful to get started in programming your application.
    Hope this helps.

  • HP copier/printer/scanner/fax all-in-one The print screen on machine is lit but blank.

HP laserjet 8600 All-in-one. My print screen on machine is lit but blank. Unable to access prompts to operate. At times it will display home, right and left arrows and ? when touching those prompts it shifts  from right to left but goes blank when touching other prompts
I am unable to print a copy because prompts don't appear on screen other than those mentioned.
I can print only from my computer

Hi there klf, welcome to the forums
I understand your display screen is blank on your printer. I would like for you to confirm which 8600 model you have and I will look into this for you.
In the meantime try a power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • Can I know the caller number on M127fn printer screen?

Hello, I configured my fax in printer m127fn to receive both voice calls and fax transmissions (Fax/Tel). When someone is calling, the printer screen show this message (Incoming voice call, Pick up headset) without showing the caller number whether on printer screen or the phone screen itself. My question is can I configure the printer to show up the number of the voice caller? Thank you.

    Hey @MI99,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you would like your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn to display the phone number of who is calling on the display of the printer, rather than just showing 'Incoming Voice call, Pick Up Headset'. This option should work just fine if you subscribe to a Caller ID service from your phone company. As long as you have that Caller ID service on the phone line that the fax and phone share than your HP Laserjet fax machine should display the phone numbers much like a telephone would.
Please let me know if this clears up any confusion.  Have a nice day!

  • Scan options on printer screen

I have Windows 7 with a HP Photosmart c6180 AiO. I use Microsoft Office 2003 and used to get a scan menu on my printer screen. For some reason, it disappeared and I want to scan documents to a RTF. How do I get my my menu back? I did updates, and reinstalled the drivers and software. I'm lost. Please help!

    Hello grandpakingfish,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the scan option no longer being available on the printers display screen.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • HT1171 When you do a 'print screen', where does the image go?

    Using Windows 7 in Bootcamp.
When i use the shortcut to do a print screen, i cannot find the image nor does it seem to be stored in the clipboard.
    Any ideas where this goes?

My Mac Pro has a Mac aluminum keyboard. I found the F14 key to be equivalet to PrtScn key on PC.
Your Windows BootCamp control panel interface has keyboard help.
In PC jargon, pressing PrtScn copies what is displayed on Monitor to clip-board. Unlike Lion/Leopard's
user friendly equivalent, it does not create an incremental .png to desktop for you. If you open Paint
accessory there is a Paste function that will show clip board and you then can save it as zzz.jpg to
    desktop etc.
Because this is a tedious process, I have code to do what Lion/Leopard does, so that after pressing
PtrScn; when (PasteScr.Vbs) executed, will place Picture(NN).Jpg on desktop, incrementing NN thus
saving need to go through Paint. The code is Vbs script and you can use it by copying text between,
== lines then pasting the copy to a new text document somewhere on your C:\ drive. Then, after saving,
rename it to, for example, PasteScr.Vbs
You can make a shortcut to this on Desktop to use whenever you have pressed PrtScn.
This works in Vista & Windows 7 and should work in XP.
I have found that in Windows 7 64 Bit, on occasion PrtScn does not go to clipboard and results in a white
Picture(NN).Jpg. If this happens, repeat the Prt & Paste process.
This could be improved if pressing PrtScn could be invoked in the VBS but I don not know how to do that.

Where did you get that information from? It's not correct... unless you're writing about MS-DOS xD

Sorry, I don't have any proof to show you but it is from my experience. You may have a different experience but let's not debate on who's right or wrong since the issue is not which one is right or which one is wrong. Let's just leave that decision to the OP to decide. That is you do yours and I'll do mine.

  • Controling wavefrom graphs and instrument display.

    Hello,
I'm tring to control an old Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) using VISA.
I manage to read and write and present the date - but not to see the OSA display screen!  I will explain:
The OSA sweep over some spectrum range continuously - the display actually shows a video.
when the sweep ends it store the data in an array - which I read and show on a wavefrom graph.  This is where the OSA display and my waveform link breaks.
for example if I input a command to change the scale of the y-axis or to insert a marker, the OSA display is changed but not my waveform.  I could not find any other way to read the data.
from your exprience - such instruments (mine is 20 years old) offer a way to read the entire screen data somehow?
if not, how can I control my waveform graph through my program - for example define the y scale to be the same as that of the instrument?

    MY OSA is HP70951A.
I have programming manual of similar item for which most commands work - no driver is available, I've search.
I have a cluster of x0, dx and Y and I read the data correctly -  so far so good, but I do not see the instrument display at is.
for example: I could place a marker on my instrument display - but I wouldn't see it in my computer since I read only the y-axis data.
you can say - so read the marker as well, but what is the point - In theory I can seat in front of my computer screen and add marker on my waveform alone without the instrument. same as changing the y scale division - it will be changed on the instrument display or computer display seperatly.
I don't know if I'm asking too much....or this is how it should be since this is the first time I write a driver with labview.
    P.S
I also ask about program control on waveform display in another forum - it is not so trivial for example to change the scaling based on input values in the program comapre to do it with some mouse click.  there are many properites node which are not well explained.

    Hi
Pressing PRTSC button copies the screen shot of the display in the Systray.
Then you can use the CTRL + V key combiantion to past this printscreen in Word or other image editig software.
    Does it work for you?
How the PRTSC is marked on the button? Is it marked grey?
If yes, then this means that you will need to press FN + PRTSC to print the screen
