"Print Selection" not available?

Am I missing something? Can you print just a "text selection" in Safari instead of a whole web page. This seems possible with other browsers, but not Safari?
Any insight would be appreciated.

"Print Selection" is currently not available as a direct command in Safari.
There is however a kludge solution available.
Click on Safari>Services>TextEdit>New Window Containing Selection
You can then print/save the selection in TextEdit. If you have another word processing program in the Services menu, it can be used in lieu of TextEdit.

[Solved]"foomatic-rip" for printer "Z22" not available

I found CUPS drivers for the lexmark Z22 here: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_print … exmark-Z22 and I installed the printer successfully but I get this in the status field: "Paused: Filter "foomatic-rip" for printer "Z22" not available: No such file or directory". I checked AUR and there's no foomatic-rip package.

foomatic-filters itself might even be enough in your case

If print program not available??????

if print program is not available for a particular form .what are the different options.for example rvinvoice01 is a script form .if it doesn't have a print program then how we will print the invoice from vf02?????????????

The standard program for VF02 is "rlb_invoice" you can use this and write your piece of code (Select quieries) within "FORM ENTRY". Do data declaration in the data declaration part.
This need to be put in NACE transaction so use the standard Smartform or create your own.

IPhoto printing service not available in Australia?

Has anyone heard any news as to why the iPhoto printing service is not available in Australia? It's very disappointing as this was a great selling point to me, I just presumed that it may take time to set up, but still nothing...
I can still print calenders, cards & prints off my home printer of course, but it's not the same as professional printing. It seems a shame as the software costs the same for everyone, but we have features that we can't use.
Does anyone know why this is?

No comment on why Apple has not made this service available themselves in Australia, but there are a number of other options. For the ultimate in convenience and excellent quality, you can use digitaldavinci.com.au. They have an iPhoto plugin which will let you send books, cards and calendars to them. So this is pretty much the same as the Apple service anyway, although I think - but haven't checked myself - that the price is a bit higher.
Alternatively, I have had very good results sending a PDF of a book to myreflections.com.au. This is obviously not quite as convenient, but the quality is still very good and the price even better.
So there are definitely printing options available from iPhoto, especially for books, not so much for prints, and at least one option I know of for calendars and cards. I haven't used the calendar or card service though, just the book printing service from both DDV and MyReflections.

Printer options not available to networked computers

Hello. Here at the office we have a network with a mix or PCs and Macs. We have an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 printer and an Epson Stylus C63. They are connected to my iMac running Mac OS X 10.4.10 and shared with the other Macs. I can access all the printer features, including "Print Settings" where you choose the print quality and the option to print only using black ink. All the other computers can't access this Print Settings, the option is simply not available for them in the print menu. So everyone has to print in color, and they can't choose better quality printing.
I tried connecting the printer to another Mac, and the same thing happened. The computer with the printer connected directly via USB is able to choose the different print settings but the ones connected via network cannot.
Is there anything I should check in the Sharing preferences, should I reinstall drivers in the networked Macs, or do anything special?

To get the same settings appearing on the client Mac's that appear on the Mac sharing the printer, the same version of driver needs to be installed on all Mac's.
Usually the sharing of an Intel (Universal Binary) driver to a PPC Mac wouldn't be a problem, as the driver has been written to run on both platforms. However, I believe from information provided by Matt Broughton previously, that the Epson UB drivers only work for Intels.
I believe your comment about using Rosetta may be a workaround, but I don't know how you can force the Intel to share the driver using it. I don't think that setting the Printer Setup Utility to open using Rosetta will do it, as it is the Print Dialog Extensions (PDEs) that make the options appear, but it may be worth trying...

Canon printer update not available

Software update appears to find new Canon mfp (MX870) software but when it asks to install it, I get a dialog box saying the "software is not available at this time". This hase been happening for the last 2-months or so. Running 27" iMac with OS 10.8.2.

Thanks for the response. I found another thread that didn't come up in a search for my problem, but recommended try to delete the Canon folder from the Library. i did that and it seems like that worked. I've bookmarked your link though for future reference.

Right-click PRINT option not available in explorer WIN7

On 1 Win7 machine, in explorer, right-click has Print available, when selecting a PDF. On another machine, it does not.
What provides that command in the context menu? How to add it?
Both 64-bit.
I have Reader X 10.1.0 installed.
There is also another difference. On status bar on pc with working printing option I see Adobe Acrobat document, On another machine: PDF-file. Different icons.

I forgot to write that I do not have map C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements with ContextMenu64.dll, only C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0 on both pc's.

Macbook wireless print function not available on 4620

Wireless 4620 Printer worked fine until today, now cannot connect to either of my Macbook pros running OS10.9.
On MBP#1 I downloaded new drivers, reset printing environment, and added new printer, but it shows up (and can be added) only as a scanner. The printer is no longer available wirelessly to scan or print , but does both connected by USB.
On MBP#2 with OS10.9, it shows up as printer in add printer pref panel, and I can "print" to the printer wirelessly. (the job goes through the Queue and disappears from Queue window and dock icon) but the job never prints.
I tried connecting using the HP wireless wizard on MBP1. When prompted, I can select HP Setup wireless in my network panel, but the software times out as it tries to connect.
What now? A new printer?

Standrad smartform and standard print program not available in ECC 6.0

I have a requirement like, I need to change the logo of the standrad smartform based on the company code.
The standard smartform name is '/SMBUSE/US_MMGR3'.
I have searched for the above form in ECC 6.0 and could not find one.
is the issue because of installation or configuration?
Please let me know what need to be installed or configured. so that I can give directions to the respective basis / functional guys.

No standard smartform's were available because SAP Best Practises was not installed in the system.
If standard smarforms are not installed then in this case we need to need to download the forms and upload them in our system.
We need to copy paste the standard print program's as well.

Mac osx 10.8.1 update printer driver not available

We are getting a message asking to update the printer (HP Laserjet 1320). If we accept it searches for the update and returns the message "...unavailable".
OK, so how do stop that message window from popping up?

Normally I do not shut down my iMac - rather I just let it sleep as per System Preferences > Energy Saver settings. This morning I did a complete shut down and then restarted and the problem has gone away again. Then I did a bunch of testing by launching all the usual applications I might have run since updating to 10.8.2 to see if one of these triggers the problem. After each new application launch I turned on the printer to see if the problem would occur (and then shut down the printer before the next application launch.) So far I haven't found what triggers this but once triggered it seems to then occur with each printer start (until I shut down the iMac again I guess.) I will have to keep a close watch on what I launch for a while to see what I have missed.

HP 7520 CD printing is not available with Windows 8.1

The HP 7520 has a CD/DVD printing feature ... with always worked fine from HP Solution Center. HP does not seem to supply ANY software for Windows 8.1 that supports this feature. I cannot use the CD/DVD feature on my printer any more.

I understand that you are trying to use Solution Center with your HP Photosmart 7520. Unfortunately, Solution Center is not compatible with this printer. Output Device Selections Not Available?

Finally have upgraded to a DLT 7000 and now - in DVD Studio Pro 3.0.2 under the General Tab - I am not getting any destination options for outputting.
Any clues? I am using a Atto SCSI card and with Atto have already determined the drive IS being recognized by my computer - just NOT DVD Studio Pro.

Never mind.
Here's the answer if anyone ever needs it.
The out put device selection is under Advanced Formatting.
I was told it would be in the "General" Tab, so I was just looking at the inspector.
Upon opening up Advanced Format - the DLT Drive magically appeared. Just like Lucky Charms.
