Print settings dont match up with Photoshop Printer

I'm using a Toshiba e-studio 3055c and every time I try to print from Photoshop as a Letter size but when it get sent to the printer it shows up as Ledger size and jams the printer. I've done customer support with Toshiba and reinstalled drivers etc. This is something new. It wasn't doing this not too long ago and I haven't changed any of my settings. Is anyone else having this problem?

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the exact print settings or document sizes in PS. Chances are you have simply enabled an "auto-select tray" option or similar in the printer driver or even the printer's config menu itself...

Ok i converted all my vids using xilisoft
I got them on my ipod and im able to watch them
But the words dont match up with the video
    Its about a second off
I still see there mouth moving for a second or two
    what could be wrong

When the file was muxed back together, which is the process of rejoining the audio and video, one got behind. Usually caused by several things, slow processor, not enough memory, overloaded power supply or just a plain crappy encoder built into the software.

  • FC settings to match HDTV 1080p Photoshop document?

A Photoshop HDTV 1080p 1920x1080 document "looks" like it has the correct dimensions of a rectangular HDTV screen.
But when imported into FC and placed on the Canvas of a Sequence set to HD 1440 x 1080 the top and bottom margins of the Canvas extend beyond the dimensions of the Photoshop document by 240 pixels top and bottom...just a guess. ; )
What is necessary for the FC Canvas to match typical HD rectangular dimensions?
    I don't understand...1440x1080 is not even a 16:9 ratio, is it?
    Do I check/uncheck anamorphic 16:9 under Sequence > Settings...?
Do I check/uncheck "Correct for Aspect Ratio" under the Canvas settings?
How can I make the Canvas exactly match a 16:9 HDTV 1080p 1920x1080 Photoshop document??
    Thank you...new to FCP...very new

"So then you want a sequence setting that is 1920x1080 Square pixels"
A custom setting? Why are there no FCP default settings at what Photoshop considers the default HD resolution? Am I misinterpreting this?
HD(1280x1080)(16:9) is a FCP setting but...it is not even a 16:9 ratio? why is it listed as 16:9?
Should I use a custom setting of 1920x1080? Would I still check "anamorphic 16:9" and "correct aspect ratio"?
    thanks for your patience

  • Printing problems with CS3- Prints dont match what is on screen

My prints dont match what i am seeing on the screen when using CS3. I am using windows xp and printing on a epson 7800. I never had this problem before i started using CS3. I have calibrated my monitor.
I have the standard version of CS3 not the extended.
I read a arctical that CS3 prints darker then what is on your screen. The solution if you have CS3 extended is to increase lightness just before printing, but what if you dont have the extended version, what do you do?
I couldnt find this topic on the forum here. I am sure others must have had this problem too. What is my solution?
    Thanks in advance

There are a bunch of things that can affect the difference between what you see on screen and what you get in print. It is not enough to just look at calibration. Calibration is a starting point. Here are some things that may affect your result:
    * Your monitor type
    * Your PC type (laptops may not be best for image correction)
    * Your calibration device
    * The lighting in the area you work in
    * Choices made while calibrating
    * Proper setup for using the ICC profile (e.g., you aren't running conflicting software)
    * Proper color management setup
    * Smart choice in color space / working space selection
    * Sensible choices for any other color management changes (if any)
    * Careful use of on screen proofing settings
    * Sensible choice for color management in capture (on camera or with scanner)
    * Smart use of color profiling
    * Good choice of printing materials / inks (as applicable)
    * Good choice of equipment for printing
    * Proper maintenance of printing equipment
I'm probably missing a few there, but I'll work on it. The best scheme I think is to keep things as simple as possible. Especially if you are having trouble, eliminate variables. When you get things working as you expect, then you can try to get a little more fancy. However, every variable you add will come with drawbacks in one form or another. Freeagent seems to make some sense here...

  • Print colors dont match screen colors

New Envy 5530-   When I print an excel spreadsheet with cells that are highlighted using excel's standard colors the print colors dont match the screen colors... i.e. Yellow prints as Green,   Red prints more like Maroon,   and so on!   Is there a way to adjust the printer's colors to more closely match what I am seeing on the screen.    I am using new HP ink cartridges.

I'm sorry, but there is no quick and easy solution. From your description it very much sounds like not a single piece of your equipment is calibrated, hence no matter where you print, your colors go awry. That would not change with InDesign or any other program you had in mind. They, too, require proper calibration to give correct colors. Somewhere on the Support pages there is a color management primer document, I suggest you read that. Then by all means do a proper calibration of your monitor and your local printer. Get yourself a Colormunki or similar device and use the included templates to run the calibration process. I'm sure you can borrow one from a print agency as a test, but if you are doing this regularly, you really should consider buying one for permanent use and re-calibration. If thats too expensive, construct your own calibration template with areas of solid color(Cyan,Magenta,Yellow,Red,Blue,Green,Black,75%Grey,50%Grey,25%Grey,White, a greyscale gradient) and eyeball it. Your local printer is definitely doing all its stuff based on Windows' RGB settings, so letting PS manage color will not do any good. It's all in the printer driver. And no offense: Accurate color presentation on a 89 USD all-in-one office printer is probably something completely impossible. Of course when you let stuff print professionally, CMYK as working mode may be necessary, but depending on where you let it print and what method they use (Laser? Digital offset printing? High performance inkjet?), their entire workflow may simply be based on a standardized sRGB profile as well. On the GotPrint page they state that documents must be provided in CMYK, yet they provide no downloadable color profiles, which already is not so good. Therefore you can only use the standard CMYK profiles in PS and hope for the best. Other providers may have better information on that. Well, anyway, you have a lot of work before you, it's just not going to be a 5 minute solution....

  • Problem with Photoshop Elements Printing

I have been using Photoshop Elements for a couple of years now and know it pretty well.  Today while attempting to print, a strange problem came up:  After going through the protocol to make a print, just before the image prints PE does a very fast auto correction that basically ruins all the color correction I have made on the image.  How do I disable this function?

Hi and thanks for your reply. I checked the settings under "Print", "More Options", then "Color Management" and it only has "Print Space", none of the three options that you said I should have.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

Check your color management by clicking More Options in the print dialog There are basically three options:1) Printer Manages Color2) Elements Manages color3) No color Management Make sure everything is consistent e.g. if you choose Elements manages color make sure color management is switched off in the print driver.

  • I have Mac os10 yosemite and with photoshop elements 13 I cannot get a menu from Print to change the type of paper.  Where is that menu  The one that comes up only alows for paper size not type

After clicking print the menu that comes up does not allow for a change in paper type.  Where can I change the paper type. OS 10.10 Yosemite with Photoshop Elements 13.  I have a windows computer with the same program and the print menu has a paper settings option but not on the the mac.  What gives.  Is the Elements 13 not compatible with the OS 10 Yosemite?  Thanks for any help

If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.

I believe that the problem is connected to the profiles. I know that a problem exists with the combination of computer OS, printer and PS CS4 which is addressed on luminouslandscape.com
    http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/solving.shtml
This work around allows for printing without a profile but does not allow for printing with a custom profile assigned.
I can print the exact same file with the settings I normally use using CS3 and it prints perfectly. I know it is also not the file itself, the same
happens with any file sent to the printer using PS CS4.
Of interest as well, Illustrator 4, Indesign 4 all also print without a problem.
So now what exactly is your problem? Not being able to print from PSCS4 or double profiling when you do print?

  • I wanted to start a Digital Printing business please help with Photoshop

Hi I wanted to start a digital printing business please help me with photoshop.
I've never used the program before and dont know how to design either. I got the trial edition of the photoshop extended and do I need to take some form of lessons or how do I start learning photo shop to do things like Banners, posters, signage, digital printing in other words...

Before you invest any money in a startup business you MUST make sure you are able to compete with the competition. What you are saying is a bit like - I want to start a bakery but I cant cook and don't know how to use an oven - this might sound negative but try imagine the taste of the cakes....
If you really want to enter into the market your best bet would be to hire a designer/someone who knows about printing/profiling etc as printing can be complex, especially when you bump into technical problems.....You can always learn along side him/her. I don't want to put you off so GO FOR IT!!, but it is tough out there at the moment.

  • HELP- Printing Problem with Photoshop CS4

    Hello Everyone,
I just bought the PHOTOSHOP CS4, and I am having problem when it prints. The image is not clear, it has dots (pixels). This computer where I installed this program is brand new. I have previously worked with Photoshop CS2 and never had an issue but was force to buy this new one because the computer that I bought has Windows Vista and CS2 is not compatible. I thought maybe the problem was my printer but is not I have a Brother HL-5140 (black and white). I have connected my old computer with the printer and the images print perfectly fine. I have printed photos and it prints clear. But this only happens with Photoshop CS4. It prints dots, can someone please help me. Is driving me crazy.

Really I'd be willing to bet it's your driver under Vista.
I have the same problem using Vista and a older HP LaserJet, under XP and CS2 it prints well. Under Vista it's a bunch of dithered pixelated dots.
They want you to buy a newer printer.

I haven't heard of anyone else with those specific symptoms.
But another poster has had problems with his Canon 9900 not printing (but no blank page).
The first thing to do is make sure you are using the Canon drivers and not the GutenPrint/GimpPrint drivers.
After that, you probably need to check with Canon.

There is nothing wrong with the printer or drivers. Something is wrong with Photoshop CC.   The error box says:

Hello charlottedk, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are having cartridge and printhead problems.  I would like to try and assist.
I would suggest performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend following the steps in this document on an 'Incompatible Print Cartridge' or 'Print Cartridge Problem' Message Displays on the Computer or P...

  • How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?

How can I obtain a version of Print Studio Pro that works with Photoshop Elements 13 (64 bit)?  The advertising refers to Print Studio Pro 2 but all I find available to download is version 1.35.

Thanks - I did notice that the 2 was a superscript on one site but on another (I think the one for the Pro-10 printer) it was definitely a 2 in line with the rest of the text and separated by a space (at least on my browser).  At any rate, I suspected something of the kind and will simply use Photoshop Elements 11 when I want a pattern print until the change is made.
If you have an inside line to Canon you might also suggest some changes to their Image Garden program, specifically its handling of DVD label projects.  It has several themes and within each theme several layouts.  As far as they go these are fine but they do not give nearly enough flexibility.   The boxes for insertion of images are useful as is the simple procedure for rescaling the image so it is cropped in varying ways while staying within the fixed box.  However, it should be possible (a) to relocate the boxes on the page and (b) to resize and reshape the boxes - probably by a control which would become available by right-clicking on the box.  For example, there are times when the user might want to include a full 16 x 9 frame shot as one of the images, and in general the aspect ratios of the provided boxes do not permit this.
I have over the years preferred to use Word for this purpose after setting up masks to expose just the printable area of the DVD or Blu-ray disc, setting up the margins so that the center of the disc is in the horizontal center of the page, and finally introducing text and pictures and adjusting the font size of blank lines above the disc to line everything up properly in the vertical direction.  A typical layout might involve one large picture, located so the center hole and the curved outer edge do not block anything important, or two pictures side by side, or four pictures centered vertically (to minimize the effect of the outer edge of the disc) but possibly of different widths (so as to make both close-ups and wide scenes optimal on the same disc label).  The text then goes above and below the pictures.  All of this works perfectly so I probably wouldn't use Image Garden very often for this purpose, but the inability to resize and relocate the boxes must be very limiting for others as well.
Some of the layouts have image locations severely reduced by the edge of the disc.
As I said ... if you have an inside line to Canon .. but if not, please excuse the length of this post!

  • Printing Problems with Photoshop CS4

I am having problems printing with Photoshop CS4.  When I go to print, I get a very small version of my created document.  If the image is 8"x5", it prints 1"x2" in the upper left corner.  I read other forum answers that said"delete the fax/printer" so it won't delete to the fax machine, but that doesn't work for me.  Any suggestions to fix this?
    Thanks.

    dumasmar,
Doesn't sound like a Photoshop issue.
What do the iPrint people tell you?  I had never heard of iPrint before, had to Google them.
    Incidentally, it's Photoshop not PhotoShop.

  • I can't print with Photoshop cs6.

I can't print with Photoshop (CS6). My printer (HP iP6700D) works correct with every program, except Photoshop. When I choose File>Print, there appears only an error-message. And the command-line turns into grey.

In the meanwhile I detected the problem. I made a new user account in windows and now it works correctly. So it isn't a photoshop problem but probably a register error. I have to find out furtherThanks for your reaction.
