Print the html files in one click
Hi All,
I have peculiar requirement in my project.
I am generating the o/p of my robohelp in html files (webhelp). There are number of topics in it.
Now i want the user of this help pages should be able to print the complete help on one click of button or link.
Is this possible? If yes, please let me know the steps to implement it.

I'm doubtful you can make that happen. I think the best you can probably do is to create a PDF version of the entire help system. Then add that back in as a Baggage File. Create a link to the Baggage File that your user may click to open the PDF and they may print from there.

Hi. The only save options for a full html type file on Firefox is as "web page, complete" and as I say when saving with Firefox the program is saving the usual yellow folder with links and artwork files etc, but is saving 2 copies of the HTML file where on of these files is empty, won't open and gets locked to the destination it was saved to. This empty file can't be moved, and can't be deleted. When this is attempted it gives message "cannot delete (or "move" if this is the case) : Cannot read from the source file or disc."
To overcome this I now use Internet Explorer, dut prefer not to. I have also deleted Firefox from my system and re-installed it, but this did not help. How can I stop this doubling of saved files? and how can I delete the ones that are now fixed to my desktop? can you lease help?You said, ''Would like to sort this one out...any clues?''

How can i get rid of the print dialog box when using api to print an html file
i am using the systemshell.vi provided by labview the VI is working fine but it will open a dialog box for printer selection and properties. i would like to hide that dialog box and have it print to the default printer with the default properties
ShellExec is part of lvwutil and merely calls a function in Shell32.dll. There is nothing about the function call that controls the display of the printer dialog. I think that what shell32.dll does when it prints (just like right clicking on the file) is print the file according to what is defined about that file type in Windows Folder Options. On my Win2K system, the print application is defined as "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\msohtmed.exe" /p %1. If I remove the /p, then Word starts up and in order to print, I get a printer dialog when choosing Print from the File menu. So it seems like the printer dialog is entirely dependant on the application that does the printing. I get no dialog when I use the VI to print a .txt file. I
nstead of using shell32, you might want to try some ActiveX method or property of an application like Internet Explorer that can open and print an html file. -
Save - PDF - Print (Scripting to do in one click)
Hi, have a workflow question for you script-writing gods.
Is it possible to create a script that will automate the process of saving a document, then saving a PDF of that document, then printing that document out?
Right now my manual process is:
Save the file
Save the PDF (I have a custom preset PDF setting I use based on Smallest File Size, but with Crop Marks on, Information on, Document Bleed on)
Then I print the document out (I use 1 of 3 possible presets, custom made based on the document.)
If I need to set up 3 different scripts depending on the print out, that's fine, it would still simplify the process down to one click.
I haven't done any scripting before, so I haven't a clue where to begin or if any of the above information is enough to get something started.
Would love to hear any helpful feedback to get me started, at least.

Change the Export PDF Preset and Print Preset names to the ones you are using. -
How do i set it to fit to screen to print the entire file?
How do i set it to fit to screen to print the entire file? I have a file that is smaller than 8.5x11 but it says it's larger and clipping will occur and when I print it, it does not fit the paper. Ive even clicked the box that says Scale to Fit Paper Size and it's still giving me that message and cutting info off.
I also need to be able to size it by percentage so I can adjust it to fit into a pre made form Im working with.First, I am new to this forum and I was told by Adobe that I would get help from Adobe as well as other users here, so that's why I posted. But nobody asked me for basic info about image dimensions and printing sizes. I never claimed to be an expert, just a basic user of PS, which is why Im asking for help. I've used this program for my basic needs which is probably 1/1000th of what PS is capable of, but it's what I've used and I've always had success doing what I needed to do with it. If you can help, I very much appreciate it but if you just want to slam me and say you don't believe what I say, then that's not really helpful. Since nobody else responded to this post with any offers for help, the info you seek is below. If you have any thoughts on how to help, I greatly appreciate it.
Im not sure how the image dimensions apply to my question at all but here they are: 3300x2550 with a 300 dpi resolution.
Im simply trying to get the program to allow me to fit the image to the paper Im printing and adjust it as necessary to make it fit a partially pre-printed form I need for work and in every PS version I've used that I can recall, it allowed that. It certainly allowed it, using the same printers Im using now, in CS5.
Also, you mentioned that the printer driver handles this but I can do this in every other program I have on this computer with the same printers, from Numbers (it's a Mac) to Preview to Mac Mail so why wouldn't it do the same thing in PS? That's what Im trying to find out here and with most software, I can pick up a phone or get on a one-on-one chat and get help, but apparently not with PS and since it's not a cheap program, I expected more. I never needed to call for help before using this new version, so that's something I need to consider.

Merge print multiple image files on one page
Hello,
A Windows 7 end user seeks for a technical support from me. She tries to merge print multiple image files (JPEG) by using the following steps :-
1) highlight more than 1 files
2) [Right-click] then Choose [Print]
3) she could print the multiple images on ONE page successfully when she initially bought/used this Win7 computer , but recently (these 2 months) she got the error : pop up a few dialogue windows saying "Insufficient memory"
4) I helped her to close all other applications software and found no high CPU/memory processes and also asked for help from hardware manufacturer and got NO virtual memory and physical memory full error by running a utility tool provided.
The hardware config :-
- Windows 7 Prof Service Pack 1 64 bit
- 4GB memory
- i5 Intel CPU
Anyone can help me to fix the issues for my end user ?

In addition to above suggestions, this issue can also be caused by corrupted user registry key.
Please test the issue in new user accout.
If the issue doesn't happen under new user profile, I suggest you repair corrupted user profile:

Multiple images of the same file on one page
How do I create multiple images of the same file on one page? For example, I've got an image that I could fit 6 of on one page, and would like to print it that way instead of printing it on 6 individual pieces of paper.
Are you attempting to do this in Adobe Workspaces? Or are you looking for software that will do it?
If the former, you could insert the image into a Buzzword document six times. Not exactly elegant, but it might do the trick. -
HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus will not print the attached file in the e-mail
Dear support team,
I have installed the software and setup HP eprint according the manual respectively the advices in HP-Connected however if I send an e-mail to [edited by Moderator] the printer 8600 PRO PLUS will not print the attached file in this case a PDF. But the text inside the e-mail will printed.
Any recommends?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that the attachment to an email sent to your Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer’s ePrint email address did not print.
After the PDF didn’t print, did you log into your HP Connected account? I’m curious as to what HP Connected indicated about the print job. I have included the ePrint Job Did Not Print document. It has several causes and solutions as to why the PDF didn’t print.

How to display the HTML File Titles instead of File Names
Hello All,
I want to display the HTML file titles instead of File names in the Search Results. I've tried to give this command in the 'Visible Properties' in the 'SearchResourceRenderer' as:-
Visible Properties: rnd:displayTitle
However this is not working for me. If anyone has an idea of what to pass here or any other alternative to display the Titles.

1) Standard Layout Set used: SearchResultLayoutSet
2) Create a new layout set using ADVANCED COPY
3) Change properties as you require
4) Next modify the search OTH file to reflect this newly created Layout Set (under KM > root > etc > oth > search.oth edit xml file property rndLaoutSet from SearchResultLayoutSet to MyCustomSearchResultLayoutSet)
5) Check in the document to complete the editing process if Edit Locally is used!
6) Lastly, activate the OTH file by
Setting Debugging settings via Debugging Settings
Performing a normal search
Clicking Rendering information and then following link OTH Overview click on Reload
7) Reload above reloads the OTH file and performing search again will yield the desired result
8) To turn off the Rendering Information link remove the user id from Debugging Settings.

Files created in DW with slices, how can I email the html files to someone

I was wondering if someone could help me please? I created my first website in DW CS4. I used Illustrator to create it, added slices, then did the rest in DW. My site is not live yet - I have not yet uploaded the files to the web host. However, I need to email the .html file to someone so that they can see what I have created so far for the site. But when I attach the .html files, the person I send them to cannot view them - when they open the file it is just a bunch of placeholders where the slices are and you can't see the web page at all. I am a newbie to web design so this is probably quite an ignoramus question. I appreciate any help anyone can give me!!The best practice is to upload the site to a TEST folder on your remote server for debugging purposes. (yourdomain.com/TEST/index.html)
Then send your client an email with the URL so they can see the site. When you're done testing & debugging, remove the TEST folder from remote server.

How do i change the HTML file names for existing index

How do i change my existing HTML file names for indexes. The Html file name is disabled when we click on properties.
Ex: Index Keywork : Architecture
Old HTML Page/URL =: Architecture.htm
I want to change Old HTML Page/URL =: Architecture.htm to architecture_new.htm
Please find the screenshot attached.That's because you are looking at the Properties and that is not how you create index entries.
Highlight the Index keyword ("Paste" in this example). It shows below what is already linked. If you delete that, the keyword will be displayed in bold to show no keyword is attached. You can add further keywords by dragging them from the Topic List.

How to mail the html file using javamail????
hi
i have captured the output of a jsp page in a html file....
now i wish to send it in the mail ( *** not as an attachment)
ie
i wish the output of the jsp ie the html file to be displayed in
the message box (ie text area) ..... and then when recieved by the
receipient it shoud be displayed in the message area....
is there any way to do this ........well as said by my fellow poster googling could have given you quick results.

EA Could Not Find The .html File Associated With...
After naming folder names, I now get the "EA could not find the .html file associated with..." message when I open the .edge file. When I open the .an file, I have all elements and the timeline are gone! How can I restore it? Surely, it is just a question of changing a path, or? Please help. Thanks!
From the File > Open menu, browse to the that same folder (the newly renamed one), and select the .html file.

Where is the bookmarks stored?
I Install the Firefox once again since I upgrade my computer.
And I try to move the bookmarks from the old computer to the new one.
But I can't find anyone of them.
Is there any folder just like "favourite" to store the html file?
I really want to find out the bookmarks because actually i can't remember all the website that are important to me~ URGENT!!!~THANKS~You can move file named places.sqlite from your old profile to the new one. It contains bookmarks and browsing history.

If you don't care about saving your current bookmarks, you can skip creating new profile (Firefox does it by itself at first run anyway).
I'd might suggest you to install addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/|Xmarks Bookmark and Password Sync]. It is a free web service which synchronizes bookmarks and (optionally) passwords with central server, and then to other computers, if you installed it on more. You may treat is as a backup too.
