Print to multifunction printers from ebs

Dear all,
we run ebs 11.5.10.2 on Windows and we would like to install multifunction printers. We would like ebs users to logon to multifunction printers in order to print reports from ebs. The question is that since printing is be done via one database user, multifunction printers wouldn't know which is the user, therefore users couldn't receive their printouts. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this?
Kind regards,
George

Hi,
Normally Outlook rules only print via the default printer, selecting the printers is beyond the control of Outlook build-in rules.
If you have a rule written via a script, I suggest you post the question and the script to MSDN forum, in which you can get script specific support:

  • Can't Print to Epson Printers from Photoshop

Hey everyone - for some reason I am unable to print from Photoshop CS6 to two different Epson printers - an Epson 9800 and an Epson 7880. I have tried to print from three different computers (OS 10.6 and OS 10.8) and have also tried three different USB cables. Each time I get the same results - the computer acts like it sends the data to the printer, but the printer never prints anything. I am not getting any error messages. I am attepting to print a 3960x2160, 720 DPI RGB TIF image. I tried printing from Preview as a test but that didn't work either.
This is a new problem as I have been printing to these printers for years with no issues.
I have tried reinstalling drivers, turning the computer and printers on and off, cleared my caches and repaired permissions, but so far no luck.
However there is ONE situation in which I am able to print - if I save the image as PDF and print it from from Acrobat, specifically with "Acrobat Color Management" selected, it WILL print. If I try to print from Acrobat with "Printer Manages Colors" selected, it will not print.
This is really driving me mad and I would love to find a solution. Major thanks to anyone who can help!

Success! I have no idea what the issue here is but I tried printing a completely different file as a test, and lo, that file prints fine. The other file does not. Since the file I'm trying to print is a rasterized Illustrator file, I just rasterized it again so I'm working with a new file, and it prints! I am so pleased.

  • Automatically print to different printers from outlook

I apparently have a unique situation that I can't seem to find any information on. I need to find a way to print emails to any one of the 65 different printers installed on my work computer as soon as they come in. The printer that the email gets printed
to is determined by something specific in the body of the email. I setup a rule that would run a script I created that would change my default printer to the printer I need the emailed printed to and then forward the email to another folder that triggered
another rule to print it. Unfortunately, Outlook 2013 requires my to click on file and print before it actually changes the printer to the one specified in the script.
    Please help!
    Thanks!

  • Problems printing to network printers from Mac OS X 10.6.2

I have three network printers connected to my Mac by IPAddress. When I send any print job except a PDF to any of the printers I get 20 copies of my document. This is true no matter what application I am trying to print from, including printing a test page from the printer settings. I have reset the printing system by [Control] clicking in the Printers list box. I have tried different drivers, including the Generic print driver. All printers HP printers. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue on my WRT610N V2. I am using iMac Intel running 10.6.2. Error -36 prompted when copying files to the USB share disk from the Finder. Working fine when on PC running XP.
Another issue is DDNS can't report the router IP to DynDNS.com although it status that the update is successful and completed. After updated, the router's IP is still different to the IP shown on the DynDNS.com. I need to type the IP manually to the DynDNS.com
Hope the new firmware would fix these problems.
    Thanks

  • Print to fax in Tiger - Multifunction printers

Does anyone know where I can find a list of multifunction printers that work 100% on a Mac? And I mean that I can print, scan, and fax using Macs...
    Anyone?

    Hi, Richard.
Apple once had a list of specific devices, but it has been replaced by this page as most All-In-One devices are Mac OS X compatible.
One would presume that those sold via the Apple Online Store (link to such on the previously-cited page) would be compatible. That may help you choose.
I recommend taking a slightly different approach: find a set of printers you like and that meet your requirements, then check with the manufacturers re: Mac OS X compatibility.
If you then get your choices narrowed down to a couple of devices, post back here asking for feedback from users of those devices w.r.t. print, scan, and fax functions.
    Good luck!

    Hi,
I would suggest you to uninstall Adobe Reader using the cleaner tool and then re-install the latest version.
Adobe Cleaner Tool:- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs.

    Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

  • Calling a xml publisher report from Ebs - question

    Hi,
I know how to call a xml report from ebs using concurrent manager. But i want to open it from a form in application.
    My situation is this:
There is a form in the payables modelue, where i search for all the invoices.
There is also a button action in this form wich take the id of the row in wich it is my position and open a rtf raport with this id.
What i need to do is to call my xml report in this button . To pass my raport the id of the row in wich i am and open my report with paramateres.
Can this be done? Has anyone tried this before?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards

    Hi,
You can use FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST for submitting the report. The syntax is as follows:
    function FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST
    (application IN varchar2 default NULL,
    program IN varchar2 default NULL,
    description IN varchar2 default NULL,
    start_time IN varchar2 default NULL,
    sub_request IN boolean default FALSE
    argument1,
    argument2, ..., argument99,
    argument100) return number;
Here is the code that I used for submitting XML Report Publisher from within my Oracle Report's AfterReport trigger. The parameters are explained.
    a:=FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO', 'XDOREPPB','Varun XML Report Printing', NULL, FALSE, :P_CONC_REQUEST_ID , 'MYONT','MY_PREPACK_XML','en-US' ,'N', 'RTF', :p_output_format,NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL,

  • Print to different printers by page size

Hi, i have a problem,  i need to print documents that have inside a lot of  different size pages(a4,A3,a1,A2,A0, a4x3 e.t.c.). Is it possible automaticly somehow to redirect a4,A3 pages to one printer and a1,A2,A0, a4x3 e.t.c. to other while printing whole file. I think this function will be useful in next acrobat version.
something like this, dewading A3 to two A4 not needed
    to acrobat team:
Did you thought about function that can make templates to printer like it made in AUTOCAD ? (*.pc3 files). It will be usefull when printer driver is not possible to save alot of page size formats. Autodesk fix this problem by making templates(like virtual printers) through that is possible to print, and in that is possible to save alot of page size formats that don't have original printer driver. It will be great if acrobat could use AUTOCAD *.pc3 templates to print through.

  • Print to multiple printers

    Hi,
Could any one of you please tell me how to send the same page to multiple printers automatically ( without manual selection).
    Regards,
    Sandhya.

    Hi,
Am calling a standard program thru func module to which am sending the printer name to options parameter of open_form thru a BAdi.
My requirement is to get the receiving printers from custom table based on condition and then send the same form (page) to all those printers. How can I do this. FYI, RQ*31 is the print program .
    Thanks,
    Sandy.

How do I print an e mail from an I pad

The Print button (described in the Adobe Reader Help file) prints to AirPrint printers. Here's a list:
A List of Printers with AirPrint (updated Nov. 2013)
Otherwise, you can pay for an app like PrinterPro from Readdle if your printer is not AirPrint-enabled.

  • How can I print grocery store receipts from an iPad?

I run a natural food grocery store and am considering using iPads as our checkout device. (We currently use iMacs, which are nearly 5 years old now.) I think I could set up a nice system using FileMaker Go. I have done quite a bit of searching, and I don't see a clear answer as to how and whether I could print receipts on an industrial-quality receipt printer, wireless or otherwise, from the iPad. I'm not interested in anything that has a slow response time or requires printing through a separate computer (otherwise, I'll stick with using iMacs!). The receipts must be printed quickly and on the spot.
Apple's Camera Connection Kit appears to be a straightforward way to get a USB port onto the iPad, and I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) I could get multiple USB ports by attaching a self-powered hub to that port. So that should take care of the input devices, namely the barcode scanners and credit card swipes.
But it sounds like printing requires an additional application or a driver. I don't even have an iPad to test yet. Can anyone clue me in?

You cannot connect a USB hub to an iPad and you cannot connect just any USB device to an iPad via the Camera Connection Kit. The only supported printing from an iPad is using AirPrint which is supported by only a few printers, which won't meet your printing requirements.
I suggest sticking with iMacs, although I don't know why you don't use a standard cash register system.

  • I can print a test page from my Mac to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 but nothing else will print

Hi - I just recently had a hard drive crash and had to revert to an old Time Machine backup on my new hard drive to get my Mac back.  Since getting back up and running I have been unable to get my Officejet Pro 8600 back online.  My computer is wired to the wireless router but the printer is running wireless.  My computer can see the printer just fine and I can even print a "Print Quality Diagnostic" report from my Mac to the printer from the HP utility.  But nothing else will print.  The firmware is up to date.  I have tried resetting the printing system multiple times, rebooting the machine, etc... Nothing works.  Any help would be appreciated.
If it helps, we were using a different printer the last time the time machine was backed up, so when we used that backup the old printer was showing, but I reset the printing system, so it shouldn't matter.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello @Ryan221,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see your hard drive recently crashed and now you are not longer able to print to your HP Officejet Pro 8600. I see you have reset the printing system with no success. Let's try a different approach:
    Scrub/ Uninstall
    • Open the Applications folder > HP or Hewlett Packard folder > HP Uninstaller
    • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
    • * Only do this step if you do not have any other HP Printers. Hold down Control, Option and Command, While holding the three buttons down,
    • Click uninstall.
    Reset Printing System
    1. Click the Apple icon (   ), and then click System Preferences.
    2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan  dialog box opens.
    3. Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
    4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
    5. Type the correct Name and Password.
    6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol..
    Repair Disk Permissions
1.On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
    2.Double-click Disk Utility.
3.Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4.Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
5.Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
Restart the printer. Now you can download and install the printer software and install it. Click on the link below to begin the download and follow the on screen instructions:
HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver - Mac OS X 10.6, OS X 10.7, OS X 10.8
I hope this helps, please let me know the outcome!
