Print Wizard won't come up

I manage an IT Dept. I know this is a simple setting, but alas, I am new to OSX. We recently bought 2 new Intel Powerbooks w/ dual cores.
I have a user with jpg files on her desktop. When she opens a jpg, the app that is default is the previewer.
She is complaining that when she tries to print the picture from here, the PRINT WIZARD that used to come up is not anymore.
She wants it because it lets her easily print several pics on 1 page, and what not.
I wasn't even aware that OSX had wizard-type tools like the MS WinXP does. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she was referring to her old PC when she tells me that it is "missing."
Can someone clarify this for me? Does OSX have a print wizard? What setting can I flip on to make the wizard come up every time she prints a picture?

Every app has a Print Dialog which is located in the app's File menu and allows you to make printing choices based on what may be available with each individual app. Usually the choices are in pulldown menus located in the top pane of the Print Dialog and the lower portion of the Print Dialog changes to reflect the options available. Many similar settings and choices are available in the Page Setup Dialog also located in the apps File menu.

EPSON Artisan 1430 Printer Settings won't come up in Photoshop CS5.

I have installed the latest drivers on my MAC tower. The Printer Settings button is active (blue). When I click on it, the button goes down and then comes up, the PRINT button blinks once, but the Printer Settings dialog box never comes up. The printer worked fine with CS2.

When you say "print utility" do you mean a utility provided by Epson? If so, this won't work. See "AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express: Can't use USB printer utilities while printer sharing".

I downloaded Firefix, but the wizard won't come up so I can install it. Help please? I have Windows 7.

The window for the download popped up, and I clicked Run. After is finished downloading all 8.something MB of the file, I think a window for the Fireffox setup wizard or installation wizard or whatever it's called was supposed to pop up so I could install Firefix, but it never did. I am currently using Internet Explorer on Windows 7. Can you please tell me what to do to install and use Firefix?

Locate the setup file on your hard drive. If you can't, try downloading and running it again.

I have an iP4500, which I assume is quite similar to your model.
I had to reset the printing system to get things printing again. Only takes a few minutes and no problems at all since I did it a week ago or so.
Plug the printer into the USB port on the Express and restart the printer.
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock) and then open Print and Fax
Right-Click in the printer area on the left and select Reset Printing System
Then click the + (plus) button at the bottom of the printer list to install the printer again.

Ink black won't come out printing my tax filing.

I was gonna plan to do tax filing and needed to print out but ink black won't come out... i have to clean cartidige with tissue paper with alcohol... but won't working... black ink appers half plently of more ink inside. What I am going to do with that?

Please start with the steps within this Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Deskjet 3050A (J611) All-in-One Printer Series document.
If that doesn't seem to do the trick you may want to try cleaning the cartridge contacts, but make sure to just use water. Alcohol will dry out the contacts and may cause further problems in the future.
If that still doesn't work, that black cartridge may need to be replaced. To see if it's eligible for replacement, contact our technical support team via phone and inquire.

toner won't come out LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425. It's stuck inside.

I am sure it is stuck on the right side. Odds are also that it is an aftermarket toner and not an hp original. That said it will not be easy to remove. You will have to do a google search for the service manual. The right side cover needs to come off and it is not easy since the back, top and control panel need to come off. Once you have the right side cover off you will see a big while gear behind the metal plate that holds the gear assembly to the right side. You need to turn that gear by hand a little and it should free up the toner to come out. When you remove the toner you will see a sort of bell housing metal piece that hangs on the right side of the toner. That assembly fits down the right side and locks into the mech that turns the toner drum. If that piece has defect it gets stuck. Good Luck. First thing I would try is to unplug the printer, then plug the printer back in and let it come to ready and open the door to see if the toner now comes out. Sometimes turning the printer off and then back on will turn that gear by itself and free that piece.

I cant' print using firefox. print preview won't display, won't print, printing dialog box won't display, etc

Seems like since I updated to firefox 5 I can't print web pages, print preview won't work. I click on the print option under file and nothing displays or prints.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

FYI, for Black not printing on OJ 6500 ...
If the printer is out of warranty it may be worth following the suggestion in this post re. soaking the Printhead. Note it's important to switch the printer off at the Power button rather than just plugging out at the wall (as otherwise the Printhead won't get capped properly and may dry out)

How to invoke print wizard and its operation

hi experts, good morning to all :) i had ah requirement like,if we press ctrl+p in keyboard you get print wizard it will enable to you print the doc.
something like this i need in adf. by hitting the Print wizard have to be invoke. here i have no idea :( whether it is possible or not?
i get into printpagebehaviour. but it doest meets my requirements.

Desktop won't come up after update

Hello,
After today's update, my desktop won't come up anymore. When I enter my password in the login box, the sad face comes up telling me: “Oh no. Something has gone wrong. Log out try again”
The first time when rebooted after the update, my desktop came up, but very slowly. And I noticed right away that my gtk themes and icons were not rendered properly. Then, I rebooted again and now my desktop won't come up.
I dont remember all my updates but for sure 'xorg-server' and 'xorg-server-common' were among them. I dont know this is any use.
During update I didn't have any error message.
My system:
AMD dual core 2.6
Memory: 6 gb
Video: Radeon HD 3600 (using open source driver)
Desktop: Gnome 3.2

HP Deskjet 5740 Printer acts like it's printing, but blank pages come out.

I have an HP Deskjet 5740 printer. It has worked until recently and now when I try to print it won't out of any applications. It acts like it's printing, but pages come out blank. When I do a test it works or when I try on my work mac it works as well. So I know it's not a printer problem or USB cord. I have tried to reinstall the driver and also to "repair disk permissions," but to no avail. Thanks for your help!

Take out one of the cartridges and make sure you pulled off the tape covering the head and pin hole. I haven't dealt with Epson printers for a while but I remember buying cartridges for one of my printers that the tape always seemed to peel off leaving the hole plugged.
If this isn't the problem then it boils down to two things: bad cartridges or printer problems. Different printers are susceptible to two different problems; dried ink in the ink lines and air bubbles. You can try cleaning again and again, using the power cleaning mode if Epson offers that. This wastes ink but you have little choice if you want to resurrect the printer. If this doesn't work try returning the cartridges for a refund and see if that works.
Three simple rules tend to keep inkjet printer problems at bay: print something at least once a week. This will keep the ink from drying out. When the printer tells you ink has run out get a new cartridge. This will reduce the chances of getting an air bubble in the line. Buy ink only from reputable vendors and don't fill your own.

Cannot open Print Wizard using Smilebox

My HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One will not print my Smilebox creations. I am using Windows 7 32-bit. I have used Smilebox for several years and suddenly (in February 2012) I am unable to print. I receive the message that tells me Smilebox is unable to start the Windows Print Wizard. I have contacted Smilebox, but they tell me the problem is not with the program but with the printer. This does not happen with any other program.

Hi - Try installing the printer driver that comes with Win7. Go into Start, Devices and Printers, Add a Printer, scroll to HP and choose the officeJet 6300 series, choose Next and follow the instructions. Once installed, go into Smilebox and try printing with the officeJet 6300 series selected. Hopefully this will provide a good workaround for you.
If that doesn't work, click Start, Devices and Printers, right click on the 6300 and choose Printer Properties. From there, click the Advanced tab and choose "Print directly to the printer". Click Apply and OK. From there try printing again.

LaserJet Pro 400M401n menu screen won't come on

Sounds like an issue with the formatter or display itself. Since the printer is only 3 months old it still should be under warranty. Call hp customer care to have them get it going and if they can not they will offer options of sending a repair person or sending you a replacement printer.

My LaserJet Pro 400M401n menu screen won't come on. I've tried unplugging the printer, the computer, and rebooting the computer. The power button on the printer shows that it's on, however, the menu screen itself remains gray. Our MAC shows that the printer is "offline." We've had the printer for about 3 months and have used it without any problems in the past 2 weeks. Help?!?!
