Print XML-PDF report in 40 langauges

Hi
i am having the below requirement
I need to print the 'statement generation program' in 40 diffrent languages
For that i had the all the country specific lables in custem staging table ,I needs to call those conditionally and print them in pdf.
The issue i am facing is for Germany and other countries i can't able to print the german data currectly in pdf ,
even in the xml its not generating properly .... but if i see the xml source its looking currectly
I am using '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>'
.Because if am using UTF8 its not yet all generating XML with german data
Can any one help me on this .........

I presume you have gone through the debugging process of testing your template locally first to get the expected result.....
If yes, this note might probably be helpful "Changing Output Format to RTF or Excel in XML Publisher Request Does Not Display Output Correctly (Doc ID 404512.1)"

Print a PDF report having a field(column table) with a HTML code

hello every one,
I have a table where a column(varchar2) have HTML code inside it.
Because all my reports are in PDF format, how can I print this column, when I print in PDF I see all HTML tag and it isn't formatted.
Have Anyone same problem, could I convert in PDf before I print it?

You need to set "Contains HTML tags" to YES, so that the HTML code is formated in the report.
It is a property of the field.

Printing large PDF Report - OBIEE installed in UNIX environment

Dear Experts,
OBIEE is installed in UNIX Environment. Tired to print large PDF (eg: 50 pages), but it throws - Fatal Error.
So searched in forum and got an suggestion from the below link:

XML-PDF report just like Purchase order report.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question.
In isupplier portal > open a PO> printable view > opens PO summary with header and lines in PDF format.
Can someone give me steps to generate this basedon custom tables, from custom OAF page ?
I have tried using integration of oaf- BI integration : I did get success in generating pdf document on button click , but after opening 5-6 various documents...it gets corrupted and doesnt open it anymore.
Can someone guide me how to do it the way oracle has done in isupplier portal ?

Please share the code then we can dig into it.
Sometimes I saw when we tries to open the PDF it says it is corrupt and can not open but when you run same code on server it works fine, so please check your code after placing it on server.
When you run the same code for other output types, the it will display exception detail in the file, you can this as well.

DBI do not think it is possible -- Please confirm with your printer vendor if your printer support PDF printing first.

Unable to print PDF reports on laser printer?

Our requirement is to print the PDF reports directly on the laser printer after submitting through concurrent requests. We have configured the local printer attached to the user, installed printer as network printer on IBM AIX server and configured the printer configuration in ERP instance. Whenever, we print garbage is printing. Then came across this metalink document (How To Print XML Publisher PDF Reports From The Concurrent Manager [ID 338990.1]). According this document, i have downloaded PDF converter 'xpdf' through this link http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf.
As far as i know, extracting the xpdf.tar file itself will install this software. Modified and un-commented this line pasta_pdf.cfg file with 'preprocess=pdftops {infile} {outfile}' command. Still the printer is printing garbage.
How to verify that XPDF is installed properly or not?

I think that means tool is either not installed or not in path:-
"The Xpdf language support packages include CMap files, text encodings, and various other configuration information necessary or useful for specific character sets. (They do not include any fonts.) Any or all of these can be installed by simply unpacking the tar file and adding a few lines to your xpdfrc configuration file (see the README file inside each package for details).
have you seen what needs to be changed in xpdfrc configuration file?

I'm not really an expert at printing, but it's not clear to me exactly what you're trying to achieve.
Do you have a printer that can print raw pdf, if such a thing exists?
Or are you expecting something like a printer filter to convert the pdf to postscript or PCL, and to print that? If this is the case, "man lpfilter" and/or google for it.

Problem with Direct printing of PDF with Barcodes in R12

We are facing a problem in direct printing in EBS R12 with xml pdf reports which contains some barcode fonts. We are using fonts from IDAutomation for barcodes. Printing from request output is working fine. But when it is printed directly everything get printed other than the barcodes. Did anybody face this problem before and fixed it?

Output from XML Publisher comes out correctly. The barcodes are stripped off during pdftops conversion. Any idea?

Control the page height and page width of pdf report using pasta_pdf.cfg

I've followed the note: 338990.1 (how to print publisher PDF reports via the concurrent manager) in metalink to print a PDF REPORT. Everything work fine except the page height and page width is used as default (8X11). Is there anyway that i can custom page height and page width size such as: legal (8.5X14).

i think that can be down from the printing direver/styles/prt files when you added the printer at your apps system check the follwoign for more info.

Problem: Bar Codes Font Embed in PDF Report

Hi folks.
I'm having a few problems with Reports 9i.
Fact: Oracle 9iAS Release 2 with Red Hat Linux 7.3
I'm trying to print a PDF report that uses a Type 1 Barcode Font (X317349A) using the new PDF EMBED feature of Reports Server 9i.
Following the doc:210318.1 of Metalink i did the following things:
- Put the X317349A.afm, X317349A.pfa and X317349A.pfb in the $ORACLE_HOME/reports/samples/demo
- Put the myreport.rdf in the $ORACLE_HOME/reports/samples/demo.
- Put the the following line in section [ PDF:Embed ] of uifont.ali file:
X317349A = "X317349A.afm X317349A.pfa"
This fonts works with a sequence of "w" and "n" to form the bar code, and acrobat reader is showing just w and n sequence instead of the bar codes.
Does anybody have a suggestion of what else can i do??

Hello,
First, generate an output with DESFORMAT=HTML and check the font name used in the output.
Then, check that the file QUICASB_.TTF exists in a directory of REPORTS_PATH (take care to the case sensitivity on UNIX)
Check that the file uifont.ali is ok (use the utilty mfontchk)
Check the "precedence" in the file uifont.ali
See the comment in the file uifont.ali itself :

I want to print PDF attachments to a XML Publisher PDF report. How can I do it?
For eg. We have an iRecruitment vacancy IRC1309 for which the applicants upload pdf resumes. We want to print applicant resumes to a single PDF file for review.

Iam able to read blod data from fnd_lob table and also able to see junk data in xml output. Once rft template is generated then it is coming as blank. It does stream lob data. Can you please provide xsl fo statement to read.
