Printable Versions of NIWeek Schedules

I was having a lot of trouble printing the NIWeek schedules on 8.5" X 11" paper, so finally I resorted to altering them. Took a heckuva lotta time, so I thought someone else might get some use out of it.
The first is the PDF file at this URL, whose native size is 14" X 22":
http://www.ni.com/pdf/niweek/us/2005/session_guide.pdf
I tried about a gazillion things to get this to print on 8.5" X 11" paper, but I ended up using the "Crop" tool in Acrobat to crop out the relevant parts of each page and then recombine them all in a new document ["session_guide_LANDSCAPE.pdf"]. This new document will print fairly legibly on 8.5" X 11" paper IF YOU PRINT TO LANDSCAPE FORMAT!
The second document is the HTML file that lives at this address:
http://www.ni.com/niweek/session_guide.htm
I basically just cut out a bunch of crufty stuff within the HTML, and also relocated one of the CSS links to a local file ["niweek.css"], wherein I changed the line
#contentarea{font-family:Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:10px;width:552px;}
to read
#contentarea{font-family:Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:10px;width:600px;}
but you can play around with those numbers and your own specific printer. Anyway, the resulting file ["session_guide_PORTRAIT.htm"] should print pretty well on 8.5" X 11" paper if you print to [plain old-fashioned] portrait format.
All of this stuff is included in the attached "printable_docs.zip".

OK, I tried your link:
http://www.ni.com/devzone/libraries/appnotes.htm
That link [and subsequent links] clearly state "The documents listed on these pages are only the technical documents available in PDF format." There are then several ways to get to any particular document [by product line, by number, &c].
Let's take as an example the document that interested me, "AN154B LabVIEW Data Storage." No matter how I try to get there [by product line, by number], I am sent to an HTML file, NOT a PDF file.
What's worse is that in HTML format, this document won't fit on standard 8.5" X 11" paper - you have to switch to landscape mode just to print the stupid thing.
PS: If anyone gets this far, what I'd really like to find is an official, rock-solid, thi
s-is-the-final-word, PDF kind of a document that describes exactly what the "Waveform DataType" is, down to the level of 0's and 1's [or at least as close to 0's and 1's as is possible without giving away all of NI's intellectual property].
In the future, I'll be interested in other data types, but for the moment I'd be happy just to get some official documentation on "Waveform".
Thanks!

    Why not move your site to a new host and publish using one the two alternative methods...

  • How to open a "printable" version of a pdf file which has embedded a swf file?

    I've got a project that consist of a pdf file that has a swf inside, it's all managed by a .nav file, a navigator.
    The thing is, since the Flash Player is not a part of the pdf file (I think it was a part before), and it has to be downloaded and installed separately, I need to have an option for the users so they can access a more compact and printable version of what the pdf shows, but this time, not using the swf but the alternative, printable, version.
    I spent some time looking for this "printable version", but no luck so far, if anyone knows something about it, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks.

    I see, I didn't know the exact term of what it's called, I've read somewhere and some people refer to it as interactive statements, the project is made with Flash Builder and I use the asset placement plugin. I'm a long time as3 programmer, but I never used a swf file within a pdf.
    So, you are telling me that there is no way to have a default fallback option to show, let say, only text when the flash player isn't available?, because, a client of mine told me that he saw once a video showing Adobe featuring a "printable version" of the same pdf when that condition happened. He didn't send me the link or anything, I guess I just need to believe him on that one.
    Any help, documentation to read, or orientation would be appreciated.
    Edit.: forgot to say, mobile is not an issue/option here, this app or portfolio would play only in desktop.

  • Version Management for Scheduling Agreement

    Hi Experts,
    We have activated Version Management for Scheduling Agreement - LP. When we create a Scheduling Agreement, it is generating zero version but 'Net Order Value' is showing as zero in versions tab. We have also addressed fields 'NETPR' and 'NETWR' for document type - LP, in Set up Change displays.
    Can any one please suggest a solution for this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Printable version

    Hi All,
    I want to put a feature of printable version on my webpage can any one of u pls tell me how can this be .. done using jsp ..
    Thanks in Advance

    It depends on what the difference is between the normal version and the printable one.
    If the normal has menus and stuff like that that you don't want to printable version then include the content and the menus separatedly.
    Then you can have separate JSP that will be called by a "print" button, that will open an alternative verion that only includes the content of the current page but not the menus...
    Else it can be the same JSP that accepts a parameter and displays some things or others (and maybe even different formatting) depending on whether you are on normal or print version...
    Hope that makes sense..

  • Printable version of my portlet page (can't use jasper)

    I am developing a portlet and I need to show a window (preferably a popup) with content in a printable form (no colors, Portal heading etc).
    My App is running as a part of Sun Portal 7 deployed on Sun One Web Server 6. I can't use JasperReports, because I am not allowed to modify server.policy.
    The data I will be printing are quite simple. How can I show them in a printable format? I can use HTML or MS Excel format only (yeah, but you know...).
    Is there a way how to achieve this? I was thinking about making a servlet and passing the data to it. But a Portlet version would be great :)

    That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

  • Which file to download 11.2.0.2.0 compatible version of Oracle Scheduler Ag

    Hi, I'm trying to install Oracle Scheduler Agent on Linux x86-64 and following these instructions:
    http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/SchedulerAgentInstallation_11gR2.php
    My database is version 11.2.0.2.0 on a Linux CentOS x86-64 server. Can someone point me to where the file I need to download for installing Oracle Scheduler Agent, compatible with 11.2.0.2.0 database?
    If I had 11.2.0.1.0, I think I would go here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linx8664soft-100572.html
    and download file: linux.x64_11gR2_client.zip.
    However, there doesn't seem to be a similar file available for 11.2.0.2.0. Should I just use the 11.2.0.1.0 file here? Or, should I be looking somewhere else?

    11.2.0.2 and 11.2.0.3 are only available at the support site for Oracle (https://support.oracle.com), access to which requires a paid support contract with Oracle - it is not free.

  • All project tasks appear when I view a schedule in PWA but the schedule is blank in MS Project Professional

    We have a project in our Project Server 2010 environment and it was being managed for a period of time without any issues.  Recently, a user has gone into PWA and edited the schedule in PWA by deleting all the tasks and re-creating a new set of tasks.
    He has saved and published the project from within PWA.
    However, although the schedule can be viewed and edited from within PWA, if we try to open it in MS Project, the schedule is blank.  ie. there are no tasks displayed.  It is the correct project as the project name appears at the top of the MS Project
    window.
    I have tried saving and publishing the schedule via PWA but I still get a blank scehdule when I open it in MS Project Professional.
    I have also cleared the cache in case there was something happening there but no change.
    Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this and how to resolve it?
    PS. I am not technical so if you have a technical solution, can you please explain it in as non-technical terms as possible?
    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi Paul
    As I mentioned in my post, when I open the scheudle in MS Project, there are no tasks displayed.  ie. the schedule is totally blank.  So although it could be opened, I was reluctant to publish it via MS Project.  I did delete the MS Project
    cache as well as the IE Browser history, cookies etc but no effect.
    This is now a mute point as I decided to restore an earlier version of the schedule from the backups and it now seems to have been resolved.  The schedule is appearing in both PWA and MS Project and they are in synch with each other.
    I have put this down to a random corruption that somehow crept into the schedule.
    Thanks for your response anyway.

  • BI4.1 SP3 unparseable date error while scheduling

    Hi,
    We currently updated BI4.0 sp4 to BI4.1 sp3 on our test environment.
    Im getting "Unparseable date" error only with scheduling on reports with a date prompt on BI4.1 SP3. On refreshing reports with date prompts without error.
    The same report with date prompt scheduled on BI4.0 SP4 version. It schedules without error.
    Could anyone help on this.

  • Is/was there ever a way to create a printable PDF in Captivate?

    I have seen these Cp created online CBTs and in the upper left hand corner is a button that you can click on which says "Printable Version".
    This printable version is a PDF w/o the animation produced in Cp. Each slide prints as a separate page.
    I am using Cp 6 with the patch.
    Also, the PDF is searchable (you can search for key words).
    How did/does a person do this?

    The PDF that I have seen is just like the Cp project (the size was not distorted and was not done in MS Word.) It was an exact replica of the Cp project just w/o the animation. Each slide from the Cp project was a separate PDF slide (right now Cp outputs a PDF but it is considered one slide and you cannot print it or search it).
    Can CutePDF do this?

  • The object with id number 'nnnnn' cannot be deleted, modified or scheduled

    I am getting this exception in the following scenario, and I'm not sure why, or what is the best way to get around it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I am writing a program to install report modifications to a BOE repository.  This is my first foray into the BOE SDK, so I'm still quite green.  The basic steps that my program takes are:
    - Look for an existing version of the report (based on title);
    - If it exists, move it to an Archive folder within BOE;
    - Create the new version of the report in the folder that the old version was in;
    - Copy all report options that would not likely be part of the change (scheduling info, security info, format, etc., etc., etc.);
    - Call infoStore.CommitBatch() to commit everything to the CMS.
    Is it during the CommitBatch() that I get the exception in this post's subject.  The ID number referenced is that of the new version of the report.  I assume that the issue is that the SDK is trying to schedule an instance of the new version (although at this point, I am not looking to do that), and it doesn't recognize that the new version exists yet, even though creating it is part of the batch being committed.  (Scheduling will be added later, if the old version had any scheduled instances.)  At this point, my goal is copying the default scheduling information from the old version to the new version.
    I'll start wading through the documentation and forum posts, but there's a whole slew of information, so that might take some serious time.  If someone could point me in a direction, that would be most helpful.  I guess what I'm looking for is the answer to "What causes the SDK to schedule an instance of a report?"
    Also, I was hoping to do all of the changes to the CMS, and then atomically commit everything in one shot, so either none or all changes make it to the CMS, including scheduling new instances of new versions of the report.  This exception leads me to believe that I will not be able to accomplish this task.  Is that correct?  If so, do you have an opinion on the approach of creating a second InfoObjects collection with the instances to be scheduled, and follow the CommitBatch() of the objects that are changeing by a separate CommitBatch() of the scheduling instances?
    Thanks for the help,
    Carl

    This is the logic that creates the InfoObject:
    // create new report version in BOE from file passed in
    InfoObject newver = mainrpts.Add(infostore.PluginManager.get_PluginInfo("CrystalEnterprise.Report"));
    Report rpt = (Report)newver;
    rpt.Files.Add(reportFileName, 1, null);
    rpt.Title = baseReportName;
    rpt.ParentID = installToFolderId;
    Then there is ~260 lines of code to move values from the old version of the report to the new version.  I can post any relavant section that you suggest (but feel 260 lines is a bit long to include here).
    As an aside, I just ran across the sample programs that schedule instances, which pointed me to the infostore.Schedule() method.  I am currently NOT calling that method in my program anywhere...  (That also leads me to believe that a second InfoObjects collection will be needed for scheduling the new versions of the report.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
    Thanks for the help,
    Carl

  • Send Scheduling Agreements as EDI to thirdparty

    Hello,
    We are trying to automate the process of sending the updated scheduling agreements if there are any differences in the validity range of the items. For this I need to trigger an EDI output from the program. I can directly call the routine RSNASTED routine after updating NAST entries but is there any standard way to trigger an EDI from the program ?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Jurgen,
    I have changed the Scheduling Agreement via BAPI_PO_CHANGE and it created another version for the scheduling agreement. Now we want to trigger an output type for this changed agreement which in turn generates the IDOC which needs to be sent for third party system.
