Printables & Print Apps

Hi all,
So, I just purchased a HP Photosmart 6520 series printer today and I noticed they provide free printables. When I tried to access the apps by pressing the "Get More" option, it gives me a page that says something along the lines of "go to hpeprintcenter" (something like that). I went to the link and logged in, it says that ePrintCenter is now HP Connected, so it brought me to my manage page on hpconnected.com. I went to my device, and it didn't really show any options about the print apps and what to do/manage/etc. I tried clicking the Printables tab at the top, but I don't know if it's a Safari problem or not. It gives me this:
I'm really looking forward to adding some print apps to my printer, does anyone know how to fix this?

IMHO, HP should correct the security certificate issues present on this, and other pages that report the same error!

Print apps

I loved the idea of these printer apps, was so looking forward to scheduling them for after work. Apparently all the ones that are on my printer are not available in Canada. This is the message i get when i try to open the apps under "Manage my apps"
We were unable to schedule this printable. This printable may not support scheduling on your printer or in your country.
What exactly does this mean, why can't i see these apps??

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you would like to know more about the Printables available on your Officejet 8610 printer.
Not all Printables are the same in every country/region. “Some Printables are relevant worldwide, but other Printables are useful to users only in particular countries/regions. For example, a Printables for a grocery store chain in the United States would not be useful to our customers in Europe. When you set up your printer, you identified the country/region it is in. Your HP account shows you Printables relevant to your specified country/region. To browse or select Printables from another country/region, select a different country/region using the selector at the bottom of HP website.” This information can be found in the Getting Started with Printables and Print Apps document in the FAQ section.
Notwithstanding the above, to better assist you, would you please supply some additional information?
Do you get the same message about accessing the Printables from your HP ePrintCenter account? I was able to add my printer, and add an app to my Officejet from HP’s ePrintCenter when it was set to Canada/English. At this time, HP Connected has only been rolled out to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Spain.
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
Have you enabled web services on the printer?
Are you using Windows 7 as indicated above? whatsmyos.com

Scheduled Print App Cancellation?

I recently purchased an HP Officejet Pro 8600. It comes with scheduled print apps. I signed up for NBC News app, and now I cannot delete it. Any suggestions?

Printer app (hp aio remote)

When I want to print from the app I choose photos
and the I get all my photos but I get the oldest ones
first and I have to scroll all the way to the bottom
to get the newest photos. I have ca 3000 photos
so it's boring to have to scoll down every time.
In the photo file on ipad/iphone you get
the newest photoes first.
Is it possible to get the newest photos first in
the Printer app (hp aio remote)?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you would like to change the sort order of your photos in the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app.
There currently is not a way to change the sort order. I have included the HP ePrintCenter Submit New Idea page if you choose to submit your idea.

Aio remote print app challenge

I am unable to use the Aio remote print app with either of hp printers which are e-print enabled to get the app to allow me to print more than 10 copies at a time and make the copies double sided.
Would someone please help?

Welcome to the HP Support forums.   I understand that you have encountered a difficultly when using the HP AiO Printer Remote app.
To better assist you would you please provide some clarifying information:
1)       What make/model/product numbers of HP printers do you have? Guide to finding your product number
2)      Are you trying to print 10 copies of a double-sided document that is stored on the device? Or are you trying to make 10 copies of a document that is on the printer?
3)      What is the size of the document that you are trying to print? I’m wondering if the size of the file might be the issue.

How do I add/remove print apps on my printer?

The way you add apps to your printer varies depending on the model.
I. On the following printers, use the "Get More" icon on the device to add additional print apps directly on the device: When you select the "Get More" icon on your printer front panel display, you will see a list of available apps for your pinter, and you can select and add apps to your printer from there:
HP Photosmart c309n-s
HP Photosmart Premium C310 series
HP Photosmart eAll-in-One Printer D410 series
To remove apps on these printers, select the "Get More" icon, and then select the "Manage Apps" button (at the top-left of the Touchsmart Web Apps" screen that appears). That will open the "Manage My Favorites" screen where you can remove apps by selecting the "X" on the app icons.
Any configuration required for print apps (e.g., entering Zip Code) on these devices will be prompted for when you run the print app.
II. On the HP eStation (with the removable tablet display).
Add apps: Select the tab (with the upwards arrow on it) at the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer. Then select the Add Apps option at the bottom of the screen to view available print apps.
Delete apps: Select the tab (with the upwards arrow on it) at the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer. Scroll down to display the Print Apps section. Select the Delete option and then select the app you wish to delete.
III. On other web-connected printers, if you select the "Get More" icon it will provide you the web site address for HP ePrintCenter - www.hpeprintcenter.com. You go there to add new apps, view apps on your printer, and setup/remove apps from your printer.
For those devices, to add more print apps:
Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and log into your account. If you don't have an account yet, create an account and add your printer. Information on doing that can be found here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile/Add-your-printer-to-your-HP-ePrintCenter-accou...
Select the "Get More Print Apps" link in the Print Apps section (below the ePrint section).
Select the icon of the print app you want to install, and then on the print app detail page select the "Add to Printer" button. If the print app requires setup, after adding it you will see a "Setup" button which you should select to configure the print app so it is ready to use.
To remove apps on these printers, select the "My Apps" link to display the apps installed on your device. Hold your mouse over the print app you would like to remove and a red X will appear, select the red X to remove the app.
As soon as you add or remove the print app from the HP ePrintCenter it will be removed/added on your printer...select the "Apps" icon to see all currently installed apps on your printer.
Note: Not all print apps are supported on all printers, and apps may be limited to cetain countries or languages. If you don't see a print app you are looking for when you access the "Get More Print Apps" link, that app is not currently available for your printer. We are regularly working on creating new apps and extend the printers on which existing apps are available, and you will see a star notification icons on the Get More icon on your printer when new apps are available.

Waiting on my iPad...been looking @ some printing apps....has anybody set up wireless printing with a iPad using a Kodak esp aio wireless printer....trying to save the time testing out the apps....thanks for the help peeps.....ciao

Print Apps won't print with C510a eStation. Prints thin line at top of page.

My C510a eStation printer will not print using the Print Apps. It just prints a thin line at top of page. Everything works fine until I print.
All other print functions work. It prints from computer via WiFi. It prints when I send an email to it. It copies via the Zeen. It just won't print using the Print Apps.
Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution?
12/23/2010 3:00PM. I just got off the phone with an HP engineer. She said that the eStation is still in the TESTING phase and to call to report problems so they can improve the product. (I would have thought the product would have been fully tested before being released to the public!)
She had me reset the Zeen display by holding down the volume keys while powering up. This erased everything that had been done on the Zeen by me and resulted in no HOME screens, which will have to be set up by me. The only app at the bottom of the blank home page was Yahoo!. Even the printer app was missing. I had to move it from the app tray to the home page. Now, I have to spend hours, again, setting up the Zeen.
After the reset, the printer apps seem to work now. The Zeen will copy using the printer app. My computer still seems able to print and scan to/from the eStation.
The eStation C510a eStation printer and Zeen display are very exciting. However, they are not for someone not willing to spend the time to get it to work properly. If you have a cell phone, be prepared to use up a lot of minutes while on support.
The HP engineer said that it will soon have a new release of Android operating on the Zeen which will allow it to be faster.

I have decided to return this printer to the store as it just has too many problems. HP has essentially told me they will not issue updates to solve the problems. I hate this, as I really loved the product.

Looking for HP printer App/Icon to save on desktop

Hi - I am presently using Windows 8.1 operating system. In a previous version of Windows, I had installed a HP app/icon for printing photos and saved it on my desktop screen, the app looked like a picture of a "small HP printer" and it was very convenient when I wanted to print single photos on photo paper. After selecting my options on that printer app such as choosing a 2x3 or 4x6 size etc., I could select a photo and drag it to the printer app and it would automatically send a request to my printer to print that size photo. Now that I've installed the later version of Windows - (8.1), that printer app has disappeared from my desktop and I can't find out where to download it again. I do have a program installed called "HP Photo Creations" but that program only shows options to select 4x6 or 5x7 sizes etc., it does not give me the option to print a single 2x3 size photo. Anyone know where I could possibly download that small HP printer app/icon? I hope it's still available and can work on Windows 8.1, it really was soooo convenient.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are wondering if an app you used to have is still available for Windows 8.1.
The app you mention in your post predates my time with HP and I had to do some digging around. I was able to find out that at one time an app similar to the one you mentioned did exist, but no one I worked with was able to remember the name of it or how it worked. It appears that it is no longer available.

Officejet pro 8000 and HP Home & Biz print app

I have an Officejet Pro 8000 wireless that, according to HP's list, is compatible with the HP Home & Biz print app for the iPad 2. However, the app does not find any printers on the wifi network. I am running Win 7 and the printer is shared and works fine with printing wirelessly from the computer. I followed the steps in the app to auto find any printer connected to the wifi, but it does not find anything at all. The way I understand the app, it allows non-eprint capable printers to print using the app. Am I missing something?

As you have mentioned the printer is shared from Windows 7, is the printer connected to the PC by USB?
In order to use the HP ePrint Home & Biz, the printer must be connected to your router by ethernet cable and then the up should detect it.
Please make sure both the iPad and the printer connected to your network.
Follow the steps below to access the printer EWS page:

Once locating the printer IP address, type it into Safari.

Printer App!!!! Please!!!

I know this has been asked before.....but, RIM will you ever have an app to print from the PlayBook to a wireless/network/bluetooth printer?!?! Cortado does not seem interested in building an app for the PlayBook although their mobile app works great on phones. I's a major necessity!!
Need BB and T-Mobile to kiss and makeup!!!

I appreciate the feedback, but I am familiar with the app. Its a very basic printer app, but you cannot print, pictures, .pdf, emails etc. It also needs a computer to work with, instead of being able to send it right to the printer. If I have to keep a computer on just to print from my PB, I could just send the file via email to my computer and print it from there. No app would be necessary.

You do not have to understand it for it to be so.
You can try asking Kodak, as they make the app.
