Printed Card

I received my printed cards and there is a printing error on a few cards (I've only found 3 so far of 100). It's a white mark in the photograph. I can't find anything on the printed pieces website. Will apple send me replacements?

You should have received an email confirmation of your order. Use the "report a problem" link in that mail.

I just purchased the Officejet Pro 8600 and cannot print card stock.  I read another HP troubleshooting page and tried to run 100 copies of blank paper through to "calibrate" the printer as suggested by HP technical support.   There was a suggestion to disconnect the tray 2 paper tray but I also don't a tray 2.  Any suggestions?  I print card stock regularly.

  • How do I set up my HP 7520 to print card stock off Avery 8859 design???

Trying to print business cards after designing on Avery 8859 card stock design.  HP 7520 All in one will only print a test page of thumbnails of the business cards even though it shows the correct size, etc. for the 8859 paper.
How do I set the printer for card stock, etc. as Avery describes, and what is going wrong??  I have wasted many hours, and lots of paper, and still NO BUSINESS CARDS!!!

    Hi @klmrazek,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you are wondering how to set up your HP 7520 to print card stock off Avery 8859 design? I am sorry for the frustration, but happy to look into this for you!
From what I can find, the card size you are using is 2" x 3 1/2". This is an unsupported paper size with this particular printer. According to your printer specifications, here are the supported card stock sizes:
    Card type
    Card size
    3 x 5 in Index
    76.2 x 127 mm (3 x 5 in)
    4 x 6 in Index
    101.6 x 152 mm (4 x 6 in)
    5 x 8 in Index
    127 x 203.2 mm (5 x 8 in)
However, you might be able to get around this by assigning an alternate driver, by going through this post, How to Assign Alternate Print Drivers in Different Versions of Windows, by @Shane_R. Then try a custom size print by going through this guide, Create Custom Paper Sizes in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X.
Otherwise, I would suggest a different size of paper, within your supported sizes using the chart provided. Or you can also try contacting Avery Support, in case they may have additional software or drivers that you can try.
Hope this information is helpful, and have a good day!

  • Printing cards and labels on Photosmart C4580 printer

I couldn't find my particular problem using the search so I'm hoping for some answers here. I have a Photosmart C4580 printer connected to a Toshiba laptop running Vista with all the current updates. My problem is that I can't seem to get it to print on business card stock or addrress label stock. Here's the issue:
I use Word to create business cards to print onto business card stock. The instructions that came with the card stock say to do a test page on regular paper first to verify placement, which I do - everything looks perfect so I put a page of card stock in the feeder. The printer grabs the page and prints with the image offset towards the top of the page by about 1/4" so that the top of the card is above the edge of the cards. As the cards are repeated down the page, it shifts down slightly so that by the time it gets to the bottom of the page it's almost on the card, but still overlaps the top edge slightly. Printing onto regular paper works perfectly every time.
A similar thing happens printing address labels - again using Word to create the labels for either Avery 5267 or Avery 8161 label stock. On regular paper everything looks perfect, but feed a sheet of label stock in and the text is offest toward the top of the page. The last time I needed labels I was able to get it to print properly by printing one label at a time, then refeeding the page and printing the next one, then repeating until each label on the page was printed. When you're printing several pages of labels that takes a lot of time!
Is there something I need to do to get this printer to print cards and labels?

Review the following link which has the specifications regarding paper handling. If you have a card stock which is supported try cleaning the paper pickup rollers.

  • Printing cards from iphoto 9.2.3 Macbook 10.6.8

    Hello,
Since updating to iphoto 9.2.3. I have gained a lot more choice of card templates. However, no matter how I try, I can no longer print the cards successfully. I use settings for A4 paper and have tried several different ways to do this but borders on the template etc. are never printed centrally unless set in landscape format and even then titles inserted at the bottom of a card are often partially missed off. I have even tried printing from preview or Adobe to no avail. Even though it shows correctly on screen, when printed it isn't correct. Also, I do like to print cards in portrait sometimes. I have had no problems with my previous iphoto and so am disappointed and have wasted a lot of ink and paper. If anyone has had this experience I would be pleased to hear about it.
    Thank you

    Greetings,
The log suggests there is something wrong with the media browser on the computer.
Download and install the 10.6.7 combo update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1361
If the issue persists after installing the combo update then reinstall iPhoto:
1.) Remove the following to the trash:
    /Applications/iPhoto
    /Library/ApplicationSupport/iPhoto
/Library/Receipts/iPhoto -- there may be many iPhoto files here there may be none.  If you find any here remove them.
2.) Reinstall iPhoto from the iLife 11 install disk, or from the App store, or from the disks that came with your computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3415
3.) Run all your software updates after reinstalling.
    Cheers.

  • How can I enable bluetooth printing on HP BT printer card?

I have an HP Deskjet 460 and wanted to use the HP Bluetooth Printer Card with it. So I set it up per instructions (I think) but I haven't figured out how to make it discoverable to my USB bluetooth dongle.
I've tried the dongle in both my laptop and desktop and in both instances the computers recognized the 'bluetooth radio device' and verified it is working okay, but in neither case can the computer 'discover' the bluetooth-enabled printer so they can connect.
I was hoping to find better instructions from HP but was unable to so I'm trying this forum instead.
    Thank you.

    Hi Pete4750,
There are only two possible solutions, that I can think of:
    1) Find an older computer with Windows XP on it so that you can install software and use the Printer Toolbox to enable the bluetooth.
    2) You can try installing the Windows XP software that includes the Printer Toolbox on Windows 7 using compatibility mode. Make older programs run in this version of Windows.

  • Bluetooth Printer Card

The first link is for a USB BlueTooth adapter and the second link is for a CF BlueTooth adapter. Both do the same thing just different connectors. Theoretically the CF should be faster.

  • Not able to print cards with design in iphoto any more

At Christmas I needed some more of the cards I had ordered at short notice so I printed them out on my own printer. It worked really well. I have just created a card and went to print but the card template does not print any more. I assume that this has been changed with an update???!! How do I fix??
It will still print the text and photos but not the card template( design)???

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Are you able to change themes/templates on the cards?
Try this: delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

  • Image prep for iphoto calendars/prints/cards

    Hello folks,
Is there a preferred edit procedure, size, resolution, sharpening, etc for images used in a calendar/card/book?
    thanks for your help
    Diana

    Diana:
iPhoto uses frames and picture areas in a 4:3 size ratio for books, calendars, etc. So make sure the photos are in the 4:3 ratio. Most digital cameras produce images in that ratio but scanned images usually are in a different size. Use the largest pixel dimension that the camera offers because the more pixels available the sharper the picture when printed, at least up to 300 dpi maximum which is what iPhoto converts books and calendars to when converting the item to a pdf file for uploading and printing.
Also when you scan a photo don't scan as black and white (if they photos are B/W) as the image produced won't be compatible with iPhoto. Just scan everything as color.
The rest is what looks good to you.

  • Mac OS X Won't Print Card Stock on Brand New OfficeJet Pro 8610 e AiO

Hi All - I print cardstock all the time and just purchased a new OfficeJet Pro 8610 eAiO from Best Buy 2 days ago.  The salesman told me it was the best option for cardstock printing and the specs say it can handle 110lbs cardstock.  It is hooked up and printed a couple standard paper pages nicely.  But when I put in the cardstock, it made all the noises like it was printing, but then "Load Paper" shows up on the LCD screen.  We have tried unplugging it, but that doesnt do anything.  After a little bit of fiddling with the tray (pushing and pulling on all tabs and springs we see), we put the tray back in and then it prints.  But we have to do this with every print request.  I have read to select "heavy paper or card stock" in the printer properties and to disable tray 2.  I dont have a tray 2 on my printer (that I am aware of at least).  And I dont see an option for printer properties for me to change anything.  Does anyone have directions for this process?  Also - I read that the printer may work if it is kept nearly full of paper?  Has anyone had success with this?  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi KRichBC,
Thank you again for answering my questions!
Checking over the printer's specifications, found at this website. HP Officejet Pro 8610, 8620, 8630, 8640, and 8660 e-All-in-One Printer Series Printer Specifications. This is a supported paper size at 8.5 x 11, if the paper type is Index Card Letter.
I also would recommend trying the solutions within this guide. An 'Out of Paper' Message Displays on the Control Panel and the All-in-One Does Not Pick Up Paper. Again please, try a custom size print to see if that will work. Create Custom Paper Sizes in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS X.
Hope this information helps you, and hope to hear from you soon!

  • Iphoto 9.4.1 solarizes photos when printing cards

I attempted to create a card in iphoto 9.4.1 on my MacBook Pro (10.7) and the photos appear solarized. I then tried to reprint a card created previously and it, too, is now solarized, although when I printed it last Father's Day, it was fine. Anyone know a solution? Thanks in advance.

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it doesn't then your current library is the culprit and you should try the following:  make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • C6380 Trouble Printing Cards

When I set up for a quarter-fold card to print, it looks perfect on the preview screen, but it prints differently. The margins are all messed up and it prints starting at the very bottom of the paper. This is so annoying and wasteful, as well. What's wrong with this thing?

Is there an HP printer that allows borderless printing and has an 8.5 x 5.5 format as a standard option? Also needs to be something that can handle a thicker card stock.
