Firmware error occurs on both Toshiba PCS - 32 bit and 64 bit. .Both PCS are running Vista Ultimate. Error occurs on photo paper as well as regular paper
The line problem began 2 days ago. Problem did not previously exist..
Is there a resolution for this problem
Printer Usage is 4 yrs-4 months and 25 days
OK that makes more sense. Vertical sounded like the 11" direction and it is hard to imagine a defect that would cause a repeating issue in that direction.
For this case I would suggest the troubleshooting steps shown here.

You don't say what model Mac you have (iMac I assume) or OS version, but it's probably an LCD problem. Do you have access to another monitor? If it doesn't show up on the external monitor, it's your iMac monitor and not the video card. If it shows up on the external, it's the video card. Do you have AppleCare?

I have an imac, intel 2 duo. OS 10.6.8. Suddenly my desktop is showing two thin lines running from top to bottom, each about 2" from either side. How can I get rid ofthem?

Hello Folks, I Need Some Help & Advise Please?? My MacBook Pro ( Early 2011 ) Model, Purchased June 17, 2011 (NEW). Purchased Extended Apple Care Protection Plan. The Screen Has A White Line Running Left To Right Or (Vise Versa) & A White Line Up & Down. Very Noticeable @ Start-Up And Visable At All Times When Screen Is On. The Unit Has Never Been Dropped Or Mishandled! The Laptop Sits On A Logitech Stand Along Side My Recliner Or On My Lap On The Logitech Stand. Only Moved Back & Forth By Myself! Noone Else Has Ever Used The MacBook Pro. Would Anyone Please Respond, If They Have Had This Problem Or Knows If There Is A Setting Or Anything I Can Do To Remedy This?? White space connected from top to bottom
I have a white space from top to bottom, but it does not reach the bottom at the Iphone-view. How can I fix this, I want the white space always form top to bottom.

My Mac has blue screened a couple of times this week it started to work a couple of times after that but now it is grey screening with inch wide blue lines from top to bottom the apple logo is also there it is trying to boot up again but won't. Not sure don't know anything about how to fix things but I suspect the fan has stopped working as I can't hear one. The problem I have I now live in Turkey and I am 1000 km from the nearest apple shop which is in Istanbul I believe and I now live in Didim, Altinkum I don't trust the everyday Turkish shop to take it to as they will tell you they know how to fix it but will probably make it worse, typical in Turkey. Please can someone help as we use it for our business and obviously I need it up and running ASAP I am using IPad and iPhone at moment but can't access my files which are on PC.

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -

My HP7680 inkjet printer prints narrow blank (white) lines in multiple specific parts of each printed page. It appears to happen in the same parts of each page printed.
- I installed new ink cartridges
- I verified that the paper I’m using is the standard inkjet paper that I always use
- In the tools section of the printer setup menu, I ran the “Clean Printhead”, “Align Printer”, and “Calibrate Linefeed” options
- In reading the printer’s manual, it seems to imply that the printheads could be the problem.
- So, I manually cleaned the printhead contacts
- When I print the self-test diagnostics page, it shows printhead health to be “Good” for both. One of them was installed in January of 2009, and the other was installed March of 2008.
- With a Q-tip, I even cleaned the clear plastic band that runs parallel to the carriage rod. (It was pretty dirty.)

Thanks for your help!After a 2hr phone call with tech support, here is the solution; the L7600 Series printer have a firmware update (file name: OfficejetProK7600_R2011PxN.exe) my printer was bought in 2008 thus my print head is a 2008 model, and new print heads are a 2011 modem, they don’t work right in a 2008 model this is PER the tech rep and his name was John unless you upgrade the firmware.
So I upgraded the firmware from a 2004NxN to the 2011PxN and now my printer says damaged or missing print head, I place the original print head from 2008 back in the machine and it’s fine, so I bought a 3rd print head for 2011 and it says the print head is damaged.
After another 30min or so I was told I have a bad printer and sorry the warranty is out, but the old print head works but any new print heads do not, this sounds like a HP Error firmware / hardware compatibility issue, not my issue, but HP will not repair.
HP has no fix nor will they repair the printer. -

Thank you Terence , I re-loader the printer driver a third time and this seems to have fixed the problem.

Hi Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo you will not lose any data. Has ipad been dropped it could be a Hardware fault. Cheers Brian

What is it, that you see or don't see? Empty rectangles surrounded by a dashed border like marching ants? In the browser or the viewer?
If you do not see the images in the browser, then you have a problem with your thumbnails, not your previews. Try to select all of the empty rectangles and select (from the main menu bar)
Photos > Generate Thumbnails.
If you want to recreate your Previews, in case they do not show properly in the Browser, hold down the options-key while you select "Update Previews".

You can use this article for additional troubleshooting GO HERE although you mention that you did some of the recommend steps it will not hurt to follow the article and do them one more time.

I'm VERY happy with the results (fast!). However, the really strange thing is this - there is now a thin yellow line, way over on the right side of the screen, which goes from top to bottom, and stays there no matter where I go or what I do. I've never seen anything like this! It was not there before I did the upgrades. Anyone out there ever heard of such a preposterous thing ~ or have any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Be sure that all the necessary supporting elements—javascripts, css, and images—have been uploaded to the server as well, using the same folder structure as the local version of your photo album. (Based on a look at the index page's source code, it seems that elements may be missing.)
