  • Printed User Guide for Elements 6 for Mac

While the very useful downloaded pdf version from Adobe is in color, I discovered that the images in the printed guide from Adobe are in black and white, and are not of the same quality.

I have the printed Users Guide for Windows PS Elements 6 and it is also in black and white. To me the quality of the black and white images in the Windows book is OK: however the absence of color is very significant for some images. I have not seen the book for the Mac so I can't comment on image quality.
I can only suggest using a combination of the book plus the PDF file images displayed on screen.

  • Want to get a printed user guide (Hong Kong)

Hello, I am the user of BlackBerry Bold 9900, I lost my user guide book but I found that the user manual in your website is too thick ( more than 300 pages ) if I print it out, I remember the guide book I got when I brought my phone is much thiner and easier to understand. How can I get a new guide book? I am in Hong Kong and would like to have an English version. Thank you very much.

There is probably a member on my website who does, whoever you are make an pdf & help this man out.

  • Positive surprise: PSE 4.0 came along with a 200+ page User Guide

Today, when I got by regular mail my PSE 4.0 version, the box containing the Software contained also a User Guide of a little more than 200 pages.
This is in contrast to the PSE 3.0 box that I got one year earlier: it contained only a 70-page "Getting Started" that I did not find helpful.
I am quite happy about this change.
But I still have a documentation wish for next version: a good document describing in details all enhancements of the new version (including important fixes). Its OK, if this additional document will be a downloadable document.

    Robert,
Yes, I agree that the inclusion of a User Guide book will be viewed as good news by people who prefer to read paper. However, in my USA retail box, the book is missing a significant number of topics. These are easily identified by the question marks instead of page numbers in the Table of Contents.
Someone pointed out to me that the product CD has a PDF file of the User Guide which does contain all the topics (including the topics missing from the printed book). My experience is that this PDF file is not copied to your hard drive during the installation process.
After doing a general review of the User Guide content, it appears to be the same as the Contents of the program Help.
My summary is that there appear to be three options for PSE 4
1- Read the printed User Guide book (if your purchase included it) realizing that some topics may be missing.
2- Use the PDF version of the User Guide from the product CD or copy it to your hard drive.
3- Use the product Help functions.

  • Where can I find a useful "user guide" I can print for an ipad2

Where can I find a useful "user guide" I can print for an ipad2

Be green and don't print!  The iPad user's guide is in the bookmarks section of Safari.  But, because you'll be reading it in Safari, you have to be in a wifi area or using the 3G network.  However, you can download the .pdf and open it in the free iBooks reader.  Then you have it with you wherever you go and don't have to be on the internet to read it.

  • Are printed versions of Aperture User Guides available??

Does anyone know if there are printed/bound versions of Aperture User Guides available, either through Apple or a 3rd party?
PDF's and the help menu are fine when you're on the computer and need a quick answer. However, I also like to have a nice book version to take and read at night, when traveling, etc...
I would certainly pay (a reasonable amount) for such a book, but when I explored getting the PDF printed/bound at a local Staples, they wanted some outrageous amount ($160 or so), due to it being in color and 400+ pages.
Ideally, I'd like a version similar to the "Getting Started" manual that came with Aperture.
    Regards
    Tom

I agree, as I often prefer to sit down and read the manuals away from the computer, etc..
I can understand why Apple doesn't ship printed versions in the box (extra cost, shipping, etc) and provides a free PDF instead. However, it seems like they could offer a printed version for a price on their on-line (and retail) stores for those so inclined to pay for it. They already have the manuals generated, they just need to make them available.
In the meantime, I guess we wait for someone to bring an Aperture 1.5 book to market. Problem there is that by the time someone else puts one out, Aperture will be up to rev 1.6 or something...

  • Why don' t certain pages print from ipod Touch User Guide - Oct 2013 release

I downloaded the User Guide for ipod Touch - October 2013 release and certain pages do not print -- Page 13, Page 33, Page 34 -- just get blacked out boxes, The other pages (total manual about 135) all printed fine. I've tried printing the pages alone and same thing happens.

What app did you use to print them
Do they view OK on the computer?
I would try redownloading the printing those pages. Maybe they got corrupted.

  • I am unable to synch music from selected playlists in my iTunes library onto my new iPod Classic, despite meticulously following the User Guide.

I just purchased an iPod Classic, and after making sure I had the latest ver. of iTunes on my Intel MacMini, printed out the User Guide and carefully began learning how to operate the iPod. My first step was to ensure I had manual control (vs. auto synch) because I want only selected songs and playlists on the iPod, not my whole iTunes Library.
On pg. 24 of the Guide is the topic "Synching music from selected playlists onto iPod Classic." Just what I wanted. OK, I selected iPod "in the source list" (aside: Shouldn't it be "in the device list?" I dispair of imprecision). This brought up the iPod Summary page, showing I had selected Open iTunes when connected and Manually manage music and videos. Next I clicked on the Music tab.
This presented me with Synch Music next to an empty check box. Below it, and entirely grayed out was:
Entire music library (showing a checked box)
Selected Playlists, artists, albums and genres (next to an unchecked box).
There's also a third grayed out item: Include music videos that is checked.
When I selected Synch Music, I got the message: "Are you sure you want to removed existing mlusic, movies and TV shows from the iPod and synch with this iTunes LIbrary?   I selected Cancel because:
    1. The grayed option Entire Music Library is checked, not mly preferred option of Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres. .
    2. I can't find anywhere in the User Guide how to "Select the Playlists" I want to synch to my iPod. At present all I have in iTunes is my list of playlists in the left hand side bar.
OK, my first thought was the checked box in the iPod's Summary window: Manually manage music and videos. So I went there and unchecked it, which immediately brought up an alert  to the effect "Are you sure you want to automatically synch your entire iTunes library, etc. etc...? I quickly cancelled. Thus, I seem to be in a Catch-22 situation.
    So the questions are:
How do I resolve the Synch Music issue so I am assured only selected playlists will be sent to my iPod?
How do I create a list of playlists in my iTunes library to be transferred to my iPod?
How do I manually move a playlist in my iTunes library to my iPod's lists of playlists?
Any help much appreciated. Thanks to all.
    John in the Pacific Northwest

For the immediately problem, you can shut down the computer and disconnect the iPod.
There may be a process (program) running on your computer in the background that continuously monitors mounted volumes for things like maintenance, data corruption, and malware.  The iPod's storage is a mounted volume.  If you know of any such program, such as an "anti-virus" utility, and it has settings that allow you to exclude certain volumes, you can set it to ignore the iPod "disk" when connected.
Also, if you are using automatic syncing (not the manual method) to load the iPod, and you have Enable disk use turned ON, turn it OFF.  With Enable disk use turned OFF, iTunes only mounts the iPods disk when syncing, then immediately unmounts the disk.  Thus, other processes you have running on your PC (not iTunes) will have less of a chance to make the disk "in use" and cause this problem.  You won't even have to eject the iPod before disconnecting.
