Is it possible to order a Printed User Manaul for the 8830?

Not that I am aware of. You can download the manuals in PDF format.

Is a printed user manual for photoshop elements 12 available?

    Hi venice50,
I've moved your discussion to the Photoshop Elements forum. Please see this page: Photoshop Elements Learn & Support.
Click the Previous versions links at the bottom of the Help and Tutorials list to find links to PDF versions of Photoshop Elements 12 Help. I don't know whether there are printed versions available, but the smart folks who visit this forum regularly should be able to point you to them, if they exist.

  • Missing User Manual for Acrobat 9.0

Along with my recent Design Premium upgrade, I ordered the Adobe CS4 Design Premium User Guide.  And much to my surprise, it's complete documentation in separate books! Great!! I didn't know anyone still knew how to do that. So I get a pile of books about six inches high - and there's no manual for Acrobat. Completely missing from the CS4 group.  What gives?
Logged a customer service query, after a couple of conversations with some CSRs, found out that Adobe doesn't supply a printed user manual along with all the other applications.  Here's the excuse I was given: "The decision was made to not print the manual because we wanted to conserve on paper.  Adobe is trying to encourage a paperless world, and our Acrobat product is an important part of that task.  So we thought it was counter-productive to actually print the document." I am not making this up. Two of their CSRs stated the same thing, which makes me think that this is a "talking point" they've been given from someone in product marketing to cover the fact that someone screwed up and didn't get the books printed.
I finally got one of the CSRs to admit that, in fact, they actually did produce the manual - just like the others - and you can download it yourself.  After a good bit of search, I finally found where it's located.  In case you're looking for the same thing, here it is:
    Download Help PDF( 27MB)
It's the full 519 pages of documentation that should have been published - just like all the others I bought.  This is just an oversight by someone at Adobe, plain and simple.  The CSR told me that I couldn't order the printed bound version.  But something tells me this is probably not the case - Adobe's probably just behind in getting books like this one published.
If anyone knows another avenue to communicate with someone at Adobe who's better informed than the CSRs I spoke to earlier, please let me know.  I actually have more faith in Adobe to do the right thing and make good on sending me the book that I've already, in essence, purchased from them.  If they're behind, that's okay.  We all make mistakes.  But to give the lamest of excuses is intolerable.  Insulting, to say the least.
And someone in their marketing department ought to know better.

Additionally you can get the same content by going to Help>Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Help... which takes you to the HTML help files in the product or you can go to the direct link on the web  at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/index.html or via the Acrobat Community Help.

  • User Manual

Hi! I am a new Mac user having just recently ordered the new MacBook Pro 17. I should have it by the end of the week. I ordered it with Aperture 2 preinstalled and realize that it does not come with the printed User Manual. Considering how much money I have spent on this set-up it doesn't seem to be asking much to also get the printed Manual. I know that an electronic version is included but I really would like something I can leaf through while I am learning the application. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to get the printed manual from Apple? Thanks.

there isn't a printed manual with any version
either take the PDF to a local kinkos or just grab the APTS book (which is a better option)

  • Premier Elements 11 User Manual

Is there a user manual available for Premier Elements 11?
I have already downloaded the Help and Tutorials PDF file, which does give some help but not enough for someone who has not used Premier Elements before.
I am looking for a proper user manual that includes an index and contains all the instructions to operate the software. Some people may call this a reference manual. This makes it easy to find how to do things with the software when you are an inexperienced user.
I know it is the fashion these days not to include a printed user manual with software, but at least there should be a PDF version included on the software disks or available on the support site.
Maybe Adobe think that Premier Elements 11 does not require a user manual because it is supposed (!!!!) to be easy to operate. Sorry I totally disagree and what is available on the help website is not sufficient.
    Regards
    Peter

    Peter,
I agree that with Steve's book in print (there is at least one more, that is good, though I do not know if the Missing Manual series has been updated for PrE 11), it would seem like a great promotion on Adobe's part.
However, Adobe has moved completely away from any printed manuals, and have opted for an online Help system. The good point of such a delivery is that Adobe can instantly make changes to the Help file, when perhaps an update changes things, or errors are discovered. Once, way back in the dark ages of personal computers, I had WordPerfect 1.0.x (by WordPerfect, Orem, UT). It had a lovely ring-bound manual. About once per quarter, WordPerfect sent me new pages for it, to either replace existing ones, or add to the manual, as changes/corrections were necessary. There was no Internet then, or even FAX machines. Things moved by "snail-mail," so were slow. Still, the manual is beautifully printed (all screen-caps, and illustrations) are done with a gloss varnish, that made them look almost 3D. Besides that one, I still have all of my manuals for Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and the rest. I just love books.
I find that Help files have two limitations. First, the user needs to know the exact term, when Searching, and a new user will be ill-equipped to know those terms, and it really takes two computers to have the Program fully opened, with the Help file displayed - even my dual 21" monitors get crowded, and there is a lot of clicking on various windows, to do the work, while reading the Help file. Still, the online Help is the way of the future, and almost everyone is doing similar. Guess that it's time for me to get with it, and move into 2013?
I have gifted several copies of PrE, and before I knew of Steve's books, I included the Missing Manual book, and then Steve's books, with the gift. The recipients really appreciated the "manuals," along with the programs.
Now, one learning resource, that has not been mentioned in this thread, is this very forum. Back when I started, there were no forums, as there was not then an Internet. It took several generations of programs, before there were any news groups on the NNTP - those did not come about for a couple of years. Along with those copies of PrE, I also put the URL for this forum in the card, and urge the recipients to stop by for a good read, or with any problems. When it comes to forum support, Adobe does one of the better jobs, and we greatly appreciate their efforts to keep these forums going, and as powerful, as they are.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

Iam in need of a user manual for a HP Officejet 8630 all-in-one printer.   Usually when you install a printer the disk you use has a manual included.   In the past I have always printed the user manual which has come in handy manytimes.  Please advise.

  • Can I get a printed user's manual?

Can I get a printed user's manual for 4S iphone?

No, other the than the quick start booklet that came with the device, all manuals are electronic (and for the most part based on the version of iOS rather than the specific device model). In addition to the PDF Kappy linked, they are avilable as iBooks (free download) and as a website: http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/.

  • Is there a "normal" user manual for the 8600 pro? Something as simple as "how do i cancel a print j

I have a HP OfficeJet 8600 all-in-one printer and would like to find a "normal" user manual (If such a thing exists).  I tried in what somebody considers a manual to find out how to "Cancel a print job".  I  could not find it in what professes to be a user manual!  I finally figured it out on my own, but it would be nice to have a "conventional" manual with an index at the back!

  • Any Way to Save a pdf User Manual?

I seem to recall that in previous versions of FCS apps, including Motion, you had the Help option to open (usually in Preview) a pdf User Manual. From there, via the Print dialog, you could do a "Save as PDF", into the folder of your choice.
I often like to have a searchable User Manual which I can access without having to launch the app itself. So I created a special folder into which I would save separate pdf copies of user manuals which had been incorporated into the apps themselves. But in Motion 4, all I'm seeing is an HTML Help Document, and trying to "Save as PDF" via the Print window only seems to let me save the one currently visible page, nothing more.
So -- is there still any way to create a separate, searchable User Manual for Motion (and for the other FCS3 apps), or have even pdf help documents gone the way of those two-ton paper manuals of yesteryear?
    Thanks,
    John Bertram

Yeah, the PDF functionality is lost within the FCS3 apps themselves. The Pro Apps team wanted to be able to continually update the Help files, so they were made (exclusively) web-based.
That resulted in a bit of an outcry. Thankfully, the team listened, we have to now visit the Help pages for each app (here's the one for Motion) and open/download from the View as PDF link.

  • Documentation rant (slightly) -- no user manual in PDF?!?

I realize that in this day and age, manuals are bulky, extraneous and heavy. Oh, and not to mention they are also made out of paper. No big deal, honest.
I'm okay that there are no paper manuals, but why why WHY did they not include a standard PDF version of the user manual?
It's not even an option in the help menu anymore.
In looking at where the L8 manual is supposed to be, nested deep within the contents of the application package -- and voila -- instead of a simple, easy to use (and print) PDF file there are loads and loads of ... HTML files?!?
Does Apple really think that opening Safari (or Firefox) is going to be any faster than using Preview?
    Who signed off on this?
Sorry, it's a rant I know. If there is another solution, like buying bound copies of the manuals, I will do it. But why did they take away the pdf?!?

The manual format is not acceptable it needs to be pdf, browsers suck at displaying manuals. Its like Apple is reverting to Adobe help system.
APPLE if you are listening, I do not want to access the manual using a web browser!
I want to be able to read the manual using a scroll wheel not clicking a mouse button every time I'm ready for a new paragraph.
I want search limited to the manual I am reading, not all Pro applications. Even when selecting Logic Pro from the drop down it still searches all pro apps.
When I search I want to see the context of the word, not the paragraph heading.
When I am reading the manual I do not care about all of the on-line links. I am not interested in going to the Apple Training Center on the web. Get the idea. I want the manual optimized for my use at learning about Logic.
There must be someone new in charge of manual creation at Apple. If so, they should be fired.

  • User manual in PDF for AcrobatPro8 - where to find it?

I tried to print the Help of AcrobatPro8 however could not find an option to print whole manual as it is, for example, with Illustrator where you can get the whole manual in a neat PDF format.
The only way to print anything from the very large Help menu, apparently is to print page by page.
    The question:
Is there any website or link where I can download the  user manual for  AcrobatPro8   in PDF ?
    Thanks for any tip

The online Resource page for Acrobat 8 provides additional links and more detailed information, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/8.0/Professional/.

  • Motion 3 user manual hard copy

Is there a hardcopy available of Motion 3 User Manual?

I till cost you $50-$300 to get it printed at Kinko's or Office Depot.
Use full size paper, don't try to scrimp by using half sheets. The illustrations and captions go all to heck when scaled down.
Print both sides, punch for 3-ring binder.
Call around to find the best printing deal but I do not recommend trying to print it yourself unless you have access to a very fast laser that will duplex.

  • No pdf User Manual?? (Not!)

It seems that the A3 user manual is only accessible through the Aperture Help menu. I find this very frustrating - I commonly like to read such things in Preview, or even on my iPhone. In fact, one of the big reasons I am interested in an iPad is to read software documentation. Logic 8 came with a printed manual. Logic 9 came with "Exploring Logic" printed, and a pdf User Manual.
Aha! I just found a link to a pdf manual at http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/. I was confused because I expected to find it on the page http://support.apple.com/manuals/#aperture. I still think that it should listed there, too. Anyway, I have it now - it much shorter than the Logic Pro manual - only 900 pages!
