Printed webpage only shows about 20% of the page, centered
Never had a problem, suddenly can't print a webpage. Instead of everything on the page, it only prints about 20% of the horizontal line, starting from left margin; the printed part is centered on the paper. Also, the amount that is printed spans five pages, when normally I could print the webpage on a single sheet. Maybe the best description is that the printed appearance looks as if the printer thinks the paper is 2.5 x 4 inches. Have checked paper size, margins, etc.
Did a printer reset and that fixed the problem. Got so focused on checking all my settings I forgot about that universal antidote! Thanks for your prompt and helpful reply.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

My phone has been plugged in to my computer for more than one hour and the status bar only shows about less than 1/4 completed. I have an iphone 5s btw.

you can try a reset hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release. -
my iphone has calendar history for 10 years. my icloud only shows about 6-8 weeks back. how can i get icloud to show all the calendar events in the past that are on iphone?
I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution. Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud. So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar? In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off... -

When I single finger click on my iMac Trackpad, on a .pdf document, (happens in a webpage only) Quicktime app. always opens the document and not Adobe or Preview! If a document has severaI pages Quicktime will only show one page. So, not very useful!!

Using PrinterJob to print a Component only uses 2/3 of the page
Okay, I'm now trying to get printing working with my app.
I have a JFrame that contains several custom components.
I invoke the print like this:

}When the printout comes out, it covers about 2/3 the page in each dimension. It could easily be larger and still fit.
The print log message looks like this:

When the paint() method is called, the window is still it's normal screen resolution - so my code paints in that res. This results in some chunky output on the printer.
So, the final questions are:
1) Why is the Clip (and probably the transform) setup for something that is noticeably larger than the Frame being printed? I'd like to force it to "Fit to Page". I'm guessing it's doing some magic DPI calculations, but I don't see how I can change those.
2) Is there any way I can increase the print resolution? Somehow I doubt I can set my Frame size to be 5000x6000 and have it work properly.I don't know about java... but the trick in VB was to create an invisible form in the background, and print that via Form.PrintForm()... but VB allowed you to create a form any size you liked... even if it was 100 times the current screen size.
Interesting little problem...
PS: I'd only resort to an invisible Frame in the absence of a better solution... ie: pray for a response from someone who actually knows what they're talking about ;-) -
I use StumbleUpon and created many folders for different categories of Bookmarks. When I try to bookmark a new site, the bookmarks menu only shows about four or five of the folders. Is there some way to show the others? I would like to see a list of ALL the folders when I try to make a new bookmark, and I can't find anything on your Help Pages about this issue.

Back button only works about 50% of the time. Have to hit it twice, sometimes three times before it works. Problem is intermittent. Firefox 3.6.10 on Mac OS 10.6.4 (same on both MacBook and iMac machines).

Which magnifier tool are you referring to? If you double-tap with 3 fingers it should disable zoom. Then you can go into Setttings>Accessibility>Zoom and turn it off.

Cloud apps are only available via subscription via a Cloud plan.
If you need 3 or more apps then a Cloud Complete membership is the way to go. -
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A and I had no problems printing to it from my Mac or Macbook pro. The macbook is wifi and the Mac is cable, I have recently had the printer replaced with an exact model. Since doing that I can only print from the macbook pro, when I try and print from teh mac it doesnt see the pages. It could be a 10 page document and it will just show two blank pages. I have googled the question and have tried deleating the printer and reinstalling without any luck. When I got the new printer I insalled all the latest drivers thats the only thing different.

MichelleRight click the printer in System Prefences - Print & Scan and use Reset Printing System... and then reinstall the printer, should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo showing how to Reset Printing System....
