Printer can't connect to the network HP photosmart c309a

I keep having connection issues with my printer. I recently moved it from one room to another and it will not connect to the network. When I do the network test, it doesn't find it and it doesn't find an IP address either. Getting very frustrated.....

Try to move the printer back into the previous room and re-connect.
If it connects with no problem, your issue would be the distance between the router and the printer.
It should be presented in the same room. Before you try doing this, unplug your router for about 20 seconds and plug it back in, and try to connect.

Upgrading to xcode and can't connect to the network

Hi! I use a C++ library in my application which connects to the network (I suppose it uses sockets). I've been using it for months and I was using xcode 3.2.4. Now, I just had the great idea of upgrading to xcode 3.2.5, and I found out my application was crashing with the error:

Ok, couldn't solve it, so went back to 3.2.4, as suggested somewhere. The application is not crashing anymore, but now the library can't connect anymore to the network. Tried to rebuild it (I didn't write the library but I have the sources) and use the new library, but nothing. Still the library can't connect to the network. I tried with every simulator.
Any idea what there could be wrong and how I may be able to solve this? Can I somehow delete manually everything related to xcode and the simulator and try to start all over again?

I've been able to temporarily solve this problem by removing the entire Development directory and installing again xcode 3.2.4. Even with xcode 3.2.4 however, the same happened, and I had to do this procedure again. Now it seems to be working correctly, but it seems something very strange has happened. Hasn't anyone experienced anything similar?

HT4260 I did everything the article suggests. And for my macbook pro it works perfectly. But all the other devices (iphone 5, 4, Macbook Air) can't connect to the network. Anybody any idea's?

Try resetting your modem. Power it down. Wait a moment, then power it up again. While it resets, do not change what is connected to it.
In another, though unrelated article, Apple recommends the following:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.
This step really ought not be considered optional for the configuration you propose. If the problem persists after resetting your modem, reset everything else too.

As for the iPod, since he tried to modify the software, the only thing that could help would be DFU mode , we can't help much more, problems with jailbroken devices can't be discussed in theses forums, due to the Terms of Use.
Your son has to ask those people for help, which encouraged him to jailbreak his device.

IMac can't connect to the network.

When I try to open safari (version 5.1.1) I get the message "Safari can't connect to the server."
iTunes can't connect either.
However when I go under system preferences> network, it says Wi-Fi is connected. And all the other computers in the house can get online fine.
I use this computer pretty much just for video/film work, and very rarely use it to go online, so this problem could've been going on for several months without me noticing. (At the moment I need to download some software.)
I've googled it, and seen other people with similar problems, but so far none of their solutions have worked,

In the networks pane of system preferences, click on assist me, and choose diagnostics. Follow the instructions to diagnose the problem network. This may provide useful information to continue troubleshooting.

Wireless printer can't connect to airport network

I recently installed the new airport extreme (n) to replace my old router. I set up the wireless network with WPA protection and my computers and airport express work fine. However, I have been unable to get my HP all-in-one wireless printer to connect. The printer connects fine if I set up the network without security.
HP is suggesting that I set up my printer with a "WEP equivalent key" to my WPA password.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a "WEP equivalent key" to WPA? HP won't say and is suggesting I call Apple.

Simple answer is - you cannot. There is no such thing as a "WEP equivalent key" to WPA, because WEP and WPA are completely different security protocols.
Does your printer's wireless interface support WPA? If may be that it only supports WEP, and what HP is actually recommending you do is use WEP (instead of WPA) security on your base station. WEP passwords are typically configured on a computer (or other wireless client device) as either a string of alphanumeric characters, or the hexadecimal equivalent to that alphanumeric string.

Laserjet p1102w can't connect to the network

I am trying to connect my laserjet p1102w printer to the wireless network, numerous times, and it still won't work! I have chatted with hp for three times already, uninstalled and installed software, and looked at the manual from cover to cover. and download the Getting Started and User guide. Page 7 of the User guide is where you want to start. You may have already done all this... but you have not detailed anything yet so I don't know. Keep the USB cable disconnected and start the CD. It should prompt you to plug in the USB cable. If not, plug the USB cable in and start the CD again. Now detail each step and let us know where it fails at please.

My other computers can't connect to the network/internet

i am using a cable modem and have it hooked up to my airport express.
my mac is accessing the internet fine, but my laptop (windows) can't log on to my wireless network and connect to the internet.
i've tried to change my internet sharing preferences under "sharing", "internet", but that does not seem to be the right solution. when i try to connect with my laptop, it asks me to enter in a WEP, ASCII code. i've read all through the help menu and it told me to enter in "applecomputer" as the password, but that doesn't work either.
any help, ideas, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

HT5192 Update to iOS5.1, error message says can't connect to the network

I'm unable to update my iPad2 and iPhone 4 with the new iOS 5.1. I'm continually getting an error message that says, "There was a problem downloadng the software for the iPad. The network connection could not be established". And yes my internet is on and working!

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
You may have multiple entries. Delte them all.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, enter the part after the @ sign in the search bar, hit enter
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, or a server end problem.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

Can not connect to the network

I just purchased the Apple TV. My network consists of an Airport Extreme "n" base station and a Powerbook. I "had" WPA security set up on the network, but since I had trouble connecting the Apple TV with the password, I reset the base station and are back to the default configuration, no security, and in bridge mode to troubleshoot. Even with this configuration I am unable to connect the Apple TV.
I get:
Connection Failed
Apple TV could not connect to the Internet. Check your network settings and try again.
My laptop is right next to the Apple TV, has a very strong signal and does connect.
So far I've been unable to get anyone at Apple Technical Support to give me help on Apple TV.
Anybody have any ideas?

Wow... what an ordeal! I did get it working. I had to perform a "Factory Reset" on it and then it was able to connect. I tested it with a couple of movie trailers and it worked fine. I changed my network back to WPA with a password that I would be able to reproduce in Apple TV, and it connected up fine. What a big sigh of relief! I am now streaming my iTunes content and life is certainly wonderful!
I am very happy with it! It only took me a little over 5 hours to install it!

When trying to use the apps message received is not connected to the network

My printer is connected and I can print from the ipad and the laptop, but when I try to use one of the apps to print something. I get an error message that the printer in not connected to the network. I have tried all the trouble shooting tips and when printing out the wireless network test results, it says no problems found. Please help, this is a brand new printer purchased on 08/30/2012.

I believe I have the same problem. I get "Server Connection Error: -1". This only occurs on weekends (Sunday). Is this because someone turns off the server on the weekends?
There is nothing available to describe what this error message means.
